Reviews of Children's Museum Singapore (formerly Singapore Philatelic Museum)
Really lovely interactive space for kids. Appreciate the attention to detail for every exhibition. Most recommended is the play area however it's for kids until aged 4 years only.
Really a wonderful place for children 2-8years old!! The design and toys are so cute ! The guide Mr Clinton(in the picture , I hope I get the name right) is so professional and good with kids! He is charming and all kids and adults love him!! 👍
Nice place to enjoy weekend with my son :) strongly recommend to park your car nearby Bible House
It is a nice place for children to learn about the history of Singapore and they can pretend the hawker / chef to serve food to others.
It's as the name suggests, it's really a museum for children.
Even though it feels like another "playground" for children, the adults can feel entertained as well with the historical culture shared there.
Will bring my daughter again in the future when there is a new attraction.
Fun day at the children'a museum! My son loved every part of it - even things that are seemingly "regular" for us. A great experience for kids of all ages.
First time here.. great experience 😉😁 will come back again. Thank u!
Such a fun place for the kids to explore! There’s so much for them to learn, engage and play around! They really loved the experience there!
Fun, interactive and educational exhibits that explain the history of Singapore, the kids had a great time there. Free entrance for Singapore citizens. Highly recommended!
Great place for children to learn about sg heritage and just to have fun. Parents can definitely take a break here from making sure kids don't get hurt.
Fun place for the toddlers. Clean. The presentation is a bit dark and may upset if sensitive to noise. Managed by ticketing really well so not so busy.
This place is fantastic!!! And the staffs are very polite. The place is very interactive and well-maintained. More suitable for older kids as we learn about the history of Singapore. For younger kids, there is a play space at level 2 for them to explore. Overall, much though has been placed into the planning of space! Love it
Loads of fun for mainly younger children. Probably better suited to those aged 3-6 than older age groups.
It was a fun place for both adults and children. Learning the history of Singapore.
The tickets is around 90 mins, which is perfect for this small museum. Got quite a bit of things for the kids to do. Recommend to have kids still young like P4 and below
Over here everything can be touched and any giggle, chatter, scream of joy is tolerated! It engages all of the children’s senses as there are many things to smell, feel, move and play with!
You won’t regret coming with your kids!
As young to old kids ! Come come.
All their corner filled with interactive activities !
Car park easy to find !
Cheers !
It's not a very big museum so you can easily go through the activity stations in an hour. More suitable for younger children, maybe up to 9 years old.
The Children's Museum in Singapore is a must-visit for families with young kids. The exhibits are interactive and educational, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. My girl had a blast there.
We loved every bit of it, little show and activities
Enjoyable place for children around 3 to 4 years old, they get to enjoy the play pod. The restricted timings was good, helped to regulate the number of parent/child pairs within the area so children have sufficient space to play. Wished there were more slots for weekends cos the slots are always booked out early!
Fun for kids!! Best to book tickets if you plan to visit on Saturday as many visitors goes here after visiting the nearby Fire Station.
Nicely done up with a theme about Singapore's culture and the past. Quite a small space though and can get really crowded for the kids to enjoy. Would be good if it were bigger and have more play areas for kids. But generally expect to spend only an hour there.
It's an experience for kids.. Needs some touch up n upkeep. Alot of missing items that ur apart to play with, but it's taken away
It was fun. The staff was great.
The activity was great and interactive.
It was a good experience for the kids.
Best to go early as they do close on time!
Expensive, but my child liked it…so i give you five Stars.
Very friendly to young children age of 3 to 6 years.
Great to go with children! Newly setup! Need to pre-book before going.
Brought my girl to the Children's Museum on her birthday. And happen to have an exhibit room about birthday. She enjoyed herself.
Went in without tickets and it was about a 20 min wait. Small place but plenty of fun for my 2.5 yo.
Really great place to keep toddlers entertained for hours indoors. Lots of hands-on activity, educational and fun. Booking is encouraged but we were allowed in without a booking even on a Sat morning (due to a last minute change of plan). Admission is free for SG citizens
LOVE this interactive place. Staff are brilliant, the areas are well set out with space for little ones to wander in between. The timing slot is just right for little ones. We didn't get round in one go but it's a nice reason to enjoy a few areas and go again.
Did a spontaneous visit with my friend and her daughter on the last week of December.
The newly revamped museum is a lovely place for kids to learn more about the history of Singapore and general knowledge of birds, flowers etc. There is also a lot of interactive fun stations with different themes like cooking, arts and crafts, sensory and play stations etc. which I am sure kids will love.
Just be sure to book tickets online to ensure you are able to enter the museum on your desired date and timing as there are very limited walk-in spots for each time slot. Each visit is limited to 2 hours and there are 4 time slots available each day for patrons to choose from.
Overall a fun filled museum which both kids and adults can enjoy 😊
You need to be patient if you just walk in. Better buy tickets upfront.
Suitable for children 8 years old and below.Very simple and small museum. We finished exploring in 40 minutes. Playroom on 2nd floor is for kids 4 and below. Boring for older kids.Fortunately it is free.
Kids just see it as a play house so they did had fun playing around. Adults can appreciate the history. You need a kid to enter. The also have slots for walkins so no worries if you didn't buy any tickets. But better book one because youll get the priority lane
Place is great for kids. The interactive displays and show awed my children. Definitely recommended.
Good for kids to spend some time learning about history and also lots of play involved. Great for younger kids rather than those p3 onwards. They might find it boring.
Fun bonding time with your kids in an air condition environment. Friendly staffs and is free admission.
Really enjoy a lot, any kids will love it!
Some exhibits is spoilt but the overall experience is great. Love the Birthday exhibitions. Unfortunately we didn't stay long here as the kids got bored after 45mins of exploration.
It's such a lovely place for kids
Amazing experience,
Playing learning in a fun way
And the staff wow ther are so sweet
Love it
Galleries are quite small, seem to be a miniature rehashing of similar galleries in other bigger museums.
Also, no prams are allowed in, so be prepared to carry your infants around and to the 2nd floor.
Parking is also not available on-side & the nearest parking lot is very limited.
The plus point that its free for singaporeans (like all other museums) and a lot of places for parents to rest their feet while the kids play mostly fun activities.
My suggestion is to give this place a miss and go on the National Museum & National Gallery nearby.
It would be few hours of learning and fun with joy for kids.
Suitable for primary school kids, it is a good learning experience to let them gave a feel of our heritage
The down side - not enough to complete the whole journey.
Awesome place for kids to play
My 5 and 6yo want to come back
Interactive and many areas of thematic play and exploration for the children.
The museum is a very good couple of hours spent with children, they had lot of fun. Best place for children :)
Great place to get the kids on a Saturday morning and let them run wild :)
One of the best museum in Singapore for children's. Great experience to have.
Nice and fun place for kids.
Nostalgic feeling for parents.
I enjoyed with my family unforgettable place journey in my life when i stayed there ..
Beautiful museum must visit for families with young kids
The exhibits have some historical aspects which was well presented.

A Must visit place in Singapore
Foreign tourists will be charged (not cheap). If you have children, you can play for 1-2 hours.
I went to the Singapore Children's Museum, which was reopened after renewal. Perhaps because it opened not long ago, admission was free. Partial reservations can be made online and walk-ins can be made on-site for as many people as possible. On the day I visited, reservations had already been made, so I had to wait on site to enter. (Based on weekdays) You can play for 2 hours from the time you enter, and although the space is not very large, there are many elements that children will enjoy. I think it's good for foreigners to experience Singaporean culture when they visit. I also went to the nearby National Museum, but if you're with a toddler, I highly recommend the Children's Museum!
It's not very large, but it's a good place to spend leisurely time for 2 hours. My 7 year old had fun. It was nice that there was a limit on the number of people per time slot, so it wasn't crowded. When we finished watching, each child was given a pack of jelly juice.
A place where preschool children can have fun. My 4th grade child wasn't interested... It's a waste of admission...;;;
I went as a walk-in. I think it would be good for a quick look around. My 4-year-old loved it.
Nice thumbs up to visit
Friendly staff, exhibits are clean and well maintained, both kids (ages 4 and 1.5) were engaged by the activities.
