Reviews of Golden Village VivoCity
Tried GV goldclass.
The seats are very comfortable and the service is good. However, the space between the seats are abit far.
Free bottled water and a pack of chips provided. Blankets also provided.
For other foods, menu is provided, can pay by credit card. They will serve during advertisements and few minutes into the movie. After that, will be the last order. Highly recommend the chicken pasta, it was really good. Hot chocolate was bad, tasted like milk.
We Dolby automs but we still unsatisfied with its sound... I don't know why these people don't keep up there volume. Some movies we just wants it's sound track to lead us a deep involvement. The mantaince is good.
This is my favorite GV with the super large GV Max screen. It’s located in a giant mall and parking is usually ok. VivoCity is also good for meals and dessert too!
This GV also houses a Gold Class lounge and apparently the restaurant is open to public now and you can get a decent Eatigo discount eating here.
The gold class cinema is good experience with complimentary of water, snack and blanket... You can book the voucher online $42-45
The cinema is clean and many viewing times available. They have modern lobby with massage chairs and self service kioks. You can also buy movie tickets in advance.
The Gold class cinema is always great from.the seating to the food, service and drinks. Kids menus are available.
Movie is nice 5 ⭐️ , seat is big & comfortable. Services was great…but…food was meh 🫤
I loved the Cinema so much, it was magical. I love the movie Fantastic Beasts and everything is good there.
Theater is good. Seats are comfortable. They have booster seats for kids below a certain height limit which is very helpful. It can be found at the entrance right after you get check-in by their staff. There can be quite a long line for grabbing food at the counter so spare something time for that. Toilets could be more clean but otherwise a nice place to watch a movie. Highly recommend.
My most recent experience is coming here with my platoon to watch Madame Web. Despite that, this cinema is impressively big, seats are comfortable, and I've made some memories to last a lifetime watching movies with the people I care enough about to watch them with.
Nice popcorn, nice clean seats, good air cond. Good place for movies
Late night movies avail even gold class. Service here good hassle free
Nice and clean GV Gold Class. Sometimes they forgot to ask for last orders on weekdays. Otherwise I enjoy coming here.
Best place for movie 🍿 and the rooftop scenery is the best to capture some moments.
We been there to see Mission Impossible Dead Reackoning Part One. And it was the greatest experience of all time. The seats are fine, the sound is suprier in quality and the picture is good with its HD. I would recommend you to go to this place to watch movies.
This GV MAX @ ViviCity is a "must-try" for those MAX experience lovers, spacious and comfortable seats, decent distance from the first row to the screen, well-designed layout that even the audiences from beside seats don't feel the distortion of the screen view. Best come with you friends or family! Will visit again soon!
Enjoyed my experience there with my family watching Reunion Dinner after a long time that I haven’t been able to watch movie due to work. It’s very relaxing and clean and comfortable. Good sound system and movie watching experience is awesome! Looking forward to my next experience with Golden Village!
Quite a nice cinema with decent seats. They often have movie props (blockbuster shows) set up here too.
It's not the best place for movies if u are driving there. Find Parking can be hell
Cinema hall is good.comfortable seats, enough leg room, clean, air con just nice, good sound system n screen.
Snack bar too crowded n understaffed.
N i prefer quieter cinemas instead of the people mountain people sea kind.
It's good by Singaporean standard. The seats are small, can't recline, and chairs share armrest between each other - like on an airplane, so it's uncomfortable for long movies.
Amazing experience! Wonderful movie and every moment of the movie meant something - a strong message to spread message of strength, resilience, love, greater purpose and acknowledging the negative desires mankind has...yet reminding mankind of the beauty of the world when positive desires, actions, forgiveness and appreciating every moment. Worth every minute in the most amazing ambience. With great powers come great responsibilities, may the silver lining behind the cloud of the current pandemic shine through so the world can light up in brilliance with togetherness and hope.
seats r uncomfy lol
We went for top gun week after debut. The GV gold class service has hardly been gold class throughout the pandemic period with grouchy staff manly the food counter who keep wanting to direct people to use the app which is difficult to navigate and fails often. With the price they are charging, gold class was once such farce. Imagine a fresh breath of air this time. We were greeted by a cheerful but obviously over worked staff Livia at the counter. Who cheerily helped us with our order, who know our seat by just one look at the first ticket and who got the order in impeccably. When my wife was given a cup with lipstick marks, the male staff replacing it was apologetic and threw in a free popcorn in good measure, this is much appreciated.
Although the preparation team still forgot to place a bottle of plain water on the seat table, this experience has been so elevated but their renewed service team that it warrants a 4 stars. Entertainment equipment is as usual expected of a cinema, for gold class service it’s all the difference.
Quite bad compared to other GV. Dont have real nacho chips/sauce. Popcorn is not fresh. Vending machine doesn't accept cards.
Hunger Games premiere was really nicely organised. Thought sound in GVmax is not as impressive as Dolby Atmos halls I’ve been too in other countries. Not even close.
Try the golden class tickets! Totally worth it for the experience. If you want the cinema to yourself, go on an early viewing. Saw "The Meg" a couple days after it came out, and no one else showed up for the 11:20 screening.
I was offered a menu before the movie, but did not order anything. I liked the idea of being able to have dinner while watching a movie. The popcorn and soda was great, and the popcorn came in a clever no-spill cup!
Seats were wonderful! Being quite large, and able to recline fully, they were the most comfortable seats I've ever seen in a cinema. You will also be supplied with a blanket for you to cuddle up under!
Large cinema with great amenities eg massage chairs, snacks bar and dining at gold class lounge. I also like Hall 1 which is very spacious with ultra large screens.
I visited recently on 21 Oct 2020 to watch a movie and noticed that all the benches and resting areas are removed. There were no proper seats available for patrons while waiting for the movie to start. Hope they can include more seats on both floors of the cinema for movie goers to rest before the movie starts. So some people and myself had to sit on the floor which is fortunately carpeted so it is still somewhat comfortable to sit on.
It's the one with Dolby Atmos. If you wanna watch films that utilize sound and audio well, go here.
Seating Spacious. Long Q for snacks.
Went to GV gold class to watch Eternals on a Wednesday. It was my first experience and i was quite excited! However, i think due to the covid the service is not optimal. As i heard from my friend who went before covid, they felt pampered. But I don't really have that feeling. It was okay~ nothing special except able to have a meal & wine and the leather chair is nice! The service staff was friendly and I wanted to have a glass of warm water, one of the guy staff was kind enough to bring it to us (he says it was chargable supposedly) Food was served quickly and hot but quite expensive for the quality we receive. Maybe will try other cinema next time!
My wife and myself started going to the theatres last December in 2019. Decided to choose Golden Village at Vivocity. We were very happy cos there are so many theatres there. Place is very clean and nice and not crowded too. More importantly, we can go shopping after that.
Love the cinemas at Gold Class. The food could be better. Wine list needs some work and beer options are limited.
Would be good to have more gold class options for children's movies
Everything was not had until the point where we wanted to collect our popcorn and drinks, we stood and the collection counter and was totally ignored(person in white shirt), we then moved to the purchase counter instead, and the staff(black shirt) is reluctant to provide any service and was very focused on working on mise en place, a simple "please give us a moment" was actually more than enough to acknowledge the arrival of customer, but nothing was said. Finally the third staff then only approach the counter.
This is Vivo City's Gold Class cinemas, part of the Golden Village. We really enjoyed. Warm greeting when we arrived, with us promptly being seated in the trendy lounge where we enjoyed a drink before going into the cinema. Seat was very comfy with blankets provided too - a necessity in Singapore cinemas! From our seat we ordered more drinks and snacks which came promptly during the movie.
Golden Village don't disappoints when watching a movie. Almost everything is DIY unless you want GV pop corn etc. The cinema I went is clean and comfy but I do find the seat very upright. It's makes seating a bit uncomfortable.
Visited on 19 Jun morning.
Cinema was badly understaffed to the point where the queue at the food counter was long and people could “cut queue” by ordering online. This is was because there was only 1 lady manning the online food order collection counter. There was no one manning the other non-online food order counter.
It was extremely frustrating because many of the patrons were waiting very long and the queue did not move at all, it was only until much later did the manager come by to alleviate the queue.
Screen size: Average
Seats comfortableness: Above average
They usually have a pretty impressive range of movies.
Neat & clean indoors. Washrooms can be improved though.
Large cinema with good visual and audio. Ticket availability could be competitive when screening blockbuster movies.
It's a nice place inside the mall where you can watch the latest movies with a great sound quality. It's neat and clean with comfortable seats. Keep it up.
First time watching a movie at GV Gold Class!:) Comfortable recliner seat with blanket provided, cosy ambience coupled with the complimentary bottled water and snacks - A great experience! Though pricey, I'll be back for this again one of these days!
Nice plush carpet underfoot, seats are wide and aisles are wide enough. One toilet serves most of the 10 or so theatres. Once the movie is done you cannot exit the theatre the way you came in and go back to the theatres main entrance. You have to exit through some emergency staircase and walk down two or three steep flights to the building exit of vivocity, landing up on the outside of the shopping centre at the taxi queue. It's weird. Price or concessions are super expensive. A diet coke is about 3 dollars.
For gold class, come in early to leisurely pass the time at the lounge area. Have a meal if you want but recommend not too full as you will want try the experience of eating snacks on those comfy lazy boy chairs. While you could order food while the movie is on, probably not a good idea since it is still an interuption. They will ask for your order, take your credit card, but you'll not be ready, etc. So order ahead is recommended
Worst because recently I watch one tamil historical movie. The sound quality is Worst they advertice 64 speaker but the sound quality is no good. I advise to people don't watch movie like avatar on that screen because sound quality is no good
A multiplex located in Vivo city. Sound system is good. Screen sizes depend on size of hall so don't be disappointed. Don't try their coffee. In this part of city, this cinema caters to large audience. You can always find latest movies there.
I had gold class one time as my cousin has gold classz and i have to say the truffle fries is out of this world! And even if my cousin does not have gild class, the seating is very ambient. I watched spiderman and it was very cool.
One thing i have to say is about the ticket kiosk. It used to be a counter with people. Now the system is way more confusing as u have to wait for a staff to get student duscount and snacks promos, and everything requires a staff to assist yu. Wat happens if there are many people at once? Plz adrees this issue about the kiosk as it really wastes a lot of time waiting for the staffs to come.
Other than that experience was pleasant!
Watched Avatar 2 in GV max. The screen is one of the widest screens in Southeast Asia. The sound effects were good. Exit from the screen is a bit confusing. Located on the 2nd level of Vivo city mall.
Nice and cosy. New upgraded self help kiosks are a good touch. But not ideal for the older generation. Lucky for helpful staffs, they manage to get their tickets
Very comfortable and nice place to watch movies with friends and family. Have a lot of good places to eat nearby, seats are clean and regularly sanitized
Very good place. Have a lot of orgin food. Very neet and clean.
Usually watched sneak previews (special invites) at Theatre 1 - ample legroom spaces, although I find the seat position too upright... Overall had enjoyable times.
I prefer sofa seats in gold class instead of individual so I can snuggle with my date but you know, it's fine.
Excellent customer service.i bruised my knee at another shop at vivo, came to the cinema to ask if they sell ice. A staff went upstairs and came back with a big bag of ice for free. Excellent staff. Adds onto the reasons why I'm a gv member and enjoy watching at gv cinemas.thanks!
Great cinema. Was there for company movie day, got B row which isn't the best but was alright. I guess cause it's small capacity. If it was a bigger one, B row would be terrible.
Very nice cinema, beautiful hall, elegant, spacious, and comfortable seats. However, a guy was coughing all the time at my right. :D :D
Good place to watch movies where one can visit and have food as well have shopping done
soft chairs but small theatre size. quick service and clean toilets available.
On top of the cliff, the movie theater set/screen is huge and the seats are averagely comfortable. Mainly here for Liu Haocun, a cute and smart little agent here. It feels quite different from the temperament of giving you a little red flower.
It’s so hot outside and there’s not a single poster 😂😂 pitiful
You can only buy tickets here through machines. Well, that was great! However, the reason I only gave it three stars is because there is only one employee to ask for help, so when you go to the other side to serve customers, the customer on this side has to wait for a long time.
The day off might be used to watch with friends. In Vivo City, the place is very busy but comfortable. One of the places to see movies is the Golden Village because the place is spacious and very interesting. especially comfortable, there are lots of very updated films and the place is superrrrr comfortable.
A cinema of the utmost splendor and elegance that deserves 5 stars
It’s a big cinema and easy to find. You can eat and go shopping after watching the movie in vivo
A wonderful cinema that I will return to visit
A great place, UA, NIKE, APPLE, laptops, everything.
The environment is very good.
