Reviews of Mount Faber Peak
Cable-car rides and restaurants available. Good for families.
Near to this is Faber Point, one of my favourite elevated lookout points in Singapore, offering beautiful far-reaching sights of houses, city buildings, greenery, and the sea. It is a great summit to rest, meditate, soak in the views, breathe some fresh air, or have a picnic. Not far from here, some restaurants are available, and a cable car station that connects to HarbourFront and Sentosa.
You get a good view of the city and the Sentosa Island from the top of the peak. But that is about everything that you can do here. It is a brief walk of about 5-7 minutes from Mount Faber point to reach the peak.
Please don't go to this place expecting a hiking trail because you are not going to get that here.
It is worth spending 15-20 minutes at this place. Also, it is one of those rare places which is free.
This is a great place to visit. It is located in a very beautiful, wooded park and there our gondolas which you can ride from the top down to an island where you can spend the day, taking them back up to the top of Faber Peak, if you so desire.
To get the best view of the city, take the MRT from city centre and get down at Tiong bahru MRT and take 121 bus and get down at Blk 127. Start your walk towards Mount Faber Peak, it would be approx. 1.5 kms and it's worth the walk with scenic view. It's least explored way to reach the Mount Faber Peak.
You can see another merlion here but a smaller version. The view of the city is spectacular. Here you can also find the Poland bell of happiness. You can buy small bells at the shop at the entrance of a ballroom
Great views of Singapore from the Faber Point, there are free binoculars for close ups, very nice walk in the park with plenty of benches and natural paths.
About 15 minutes walk from the cable car station well worth the walk to look at the views of surrounding Singapore area and Sentosa island and it's free.
This is a pretty spot and a good pitstop if you are exploring the network of trails and bridges of the Southern Ridges.
There is an on-site restaurant with a great view of the harbor on the southern tip of Singapore.
The cable car station is right there and so, you can ride it to visit Sentosa, a resort island south of the mainland.
Great place to visit to enjoy the view and take the cable car to Sentosa if you have not tried it yet.
Absolutely magnificent ! We enjoyed the crossing by cable car, had a fresh break at the peak, took fresh air and contemplated the view of Singapore
I trekked up to this place just to catch a cable car till Sentosa. But it was worth it.
What an nice view from here and the journey in cable car was with it from here rather than just with in Sentosa or from the harbor front station.
I will definitely recommend a short trek up the hill and the joy ride in the cable car
Lots of greenery, possible start point of boardwalk towards Henderson Wave/Kent Ridge; or embark on your cable car journey to Sentosa.
Can be a little touristy.
It has a nice panaromic birds eye view of Sentosa island, harbour, greenery and cable car. It’s along the hike on southern ridges path, hill type on the way to VivoCity or HarbourFront(using stairs downhill) from Henderson bridge. Couple of good view eateries, Merlion and also one of the places where cable car starts to Sentosa. Great place for sunsets and sunrises as well as evening walks.
A perfect Sunday Evening Spot.
Mount Faber is one of the most sought out destination for a day leisure here in Singapore.
It covers range of outdoor activities and greenery all around.
One can start at Harbour Front and use a Cable Car service to reach Mount Faber. Approx cost 22 SGD for long term visa holders.
Pro Hint: Take the Mount Faber + Sentosa Cable Car lines for 25SGD and cover the best of both worlds. Mount Faber for mountainside and Sentosa for beach side adventure.
You can also avail private cab or get here by your own car.
The Mount Faber has this Bell- Attraction around the restaurant. People purchase a mini bell to scribble something and then hang out on the railing. Something similar to what people do by hanging a lock on the bridge somewhere in Europe. Though, that has stopped happening due to the enormous weight of tens of thousands of locks, however, there isn’t any such risk here at Mount Faber. The bells are hardly of fee grams.
There is this Faber Point supposedly highest point of the Mount Faber (another attraction area) that has several directional arrows on the floor directing the famous areas of Singapore and in some cases country/city too.
There is a Merlion Statue too near Faber Point.
Take the Faber Point route to reach the Henderson Waves, its a fun trail going downwards from Faber Point to HW.
You all know what is Henderson Waves, if not google it.
The cable car station at Mount Faber has rest rooms, restaurants, souvenirs shop, vending machine and quite a fee photogenic spots.
You won’t regret the trip. Go on.
Mount Faber is great for hiking. Its has beautiful scenery at the top. Many people likes to take photos while walking. Do becareful not to missed ur footing especially after the rain.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at Spuds and Aprons was tasty and not over priced. Staff were friendly and the souvenir shop was like all the others in Singapore as you have to walk through it on the way in and out.
Love the view from cable car and the ground view of the preserved nature on the Mount Faber and link to the Henderson Wave.
Venue: Great view over the coast along Vivocity.
Food: 9/10. Our 8 course chinese menu for most of our guests is full of flavour.
Hospitality: Jeffrey, our banquet manager, handles our request with care. His attention to detail and flexibility to accommodate our request made our wedding preparation more bearable.
Additionally, Ying Mae and Tina from the backend team assisted us well throughout our planning phase. Thank you, Mount Faber Peak Team, for your great work!
Nice place for hiking and jogging, but not very good for picnic because shelters do not have chairs. Chairs are available but they're not sheltered. When it rains it will be intesely humid.
Restaurant are located near the cable car station and you can hop on to get to Sentosa, no halal food so far.
The view is breathtaking and spectacular. The day I came is a rainy day and the air on the top is really refreshing and good. The night view is also wonderful. Great ambience and it is only one of its kind.
Beautiful place...can spend about 30 mins to an hour by cable car...
Nice place to walk up to and view the sights. Can catch the cable car to Sentosa.
A couple of restaurants up there and if lucky, get a good view.
Great views, plenty of options depending on your appetite for hiking.
Lovely place for pic-taking and soaking in the view or doing a cable car ride.
Dine sky high above everyone in the slow-moving cable car. Have a private, casual dinner allocated to each couple, overlooking the almost-clear greenish waters down below, where boats look like tiny little grains with trail-strands looking like cotton candy fibres. Haha
Lots of stuff to do. Two big restaurants, Cable car, lots of photo opps, trekking, nice big gift shop
Beautiful place for a couple dinner, plan your arrival at about 630-645, so that you can catch sunset. Excellent value for money set dinner, but pls do not have high expectation on the "beef" cheek, and beef burger. I rate both main dishes at 2 stars out of five.
You must check out the bathrooms here, amazing views!
Cabin car was Good but it is better to use during the day for the sun light. In nights diner is proposed with night view.
Best place to relax and you can easily to cought your thought
Beautiful view of Sentosa island u can see from Mount Faber peak
fresh air in the morning.. And I love the view, very very romantic but its hot from 10am to 4pm
Mount faber peak, good view especially if you travel by cable car from harbour front
Its rewarding to reach the peak after a long climb up the stairs...
Looking for nice view…visit and enjoy Mount Faber peak❤️
Nice place to visit in Singapore with a great view over the city! Definitely worth the short hike!
The view from cable car to sentosa island is amazing
Beautiful place for a hike
Singapore City lights 💕 Visit Mount Faber Peak if you want to witness this breathtaking view 😊
As the cable car station is here, it gets the most crowded with tourists. Walk 5 minutes down the trail and no one will be around you. Much more relaxing and with the same beautiful views. Wonderful sunsets as well.
Beautiful citywide views from a lush green hilltop. The Marang Trail down to the Harbourtown MRT Station is also quite enjoyable and peaceful. Connects to Telok Blangah Hill Park view Henderson Waves elevated pedestrian bridge, which is also worth checking out.
Good view. Prices are cheap.
Average overall experience. Food is average, service staffs were not properly train. Many trainees and don't really know the basic of F&B service.. Served food without utensils. Only one guy who looks like the team leader know what to do.
Lovely view and weather as always.
Great view of the entire Sentosa area. Experience will be much much much better if the cable car has seatbelts or something you can hold on to inside especially for the ones who are fighting that fear of heights. Still Looking forward to the next ride
Food is tasty though portion is small.
Good view of the cable car. Do book early and request for one that has good views.
One for one singapore sling is a steal
Day or Night. Still like the view
A big shoutout to the team at Faber Peak that helped us prepare for our solemnization and wedding!
From the early stages of planning, Gwendolene from Faber Peak has been very forthcoming in helping us to organize our wedding. Knowing that we only had less than 3 months till our wedding, she understood very well we were rather anxious in securing a venue. She allowed us to soft book Faber Peak on our desired date for up to 2 weeks. Gwendolene was also very accommodating towards our various requests. These are things like extra complimentary parking coupons, additional screens, early access to makeup room, complimentary cable car tickets, etc etc... It felt like almost everything was negotiable, and in actual fact Gwendolene will help us to secure it. We really appreciate what Gwendolene had done for us.
On the actual day, the accommodating attitude of the staff at Faber Peak came through again. Banquet Manager Grace led and guided us through the whole process, doing her best to calm our nerves on our big day. Especially when we chose to DIY a lot of our logistics. The set up at the venue was on point, the views were amazing, and the food was genuinely good. And we were super lucky to get a beautiful sunset out at the garden solemnization for the most amazing photos.
If you are looking for a cozy wedding venue with outdoor solemnization and comfortable indoor dining, look no further. We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue.
Once again, we would like to thank the whole team at Faber Peak. Grace, Nizam, Rahim and the rest of the service staff and chef for an immaculately executed evening. And more importantly, Gwendolene, who has most helpful in arranging everything for us, leading up to our big day. THANK YOU!
Lion city’s unique hilltop that is filled with natural serenity and a spectacular views.
Mount Faber, formerly Telok Blangah Hill, is a hill about 94 metres in height, located in the town of Bukit Merah in the Central Region of Singapore. It overlooks the Telok Blangah area, and the western parts of the Central Area.
A fabulous place to have lunch, interesting cable car journey and the start of the ridge walk. Take a sun hat. Cool beer and discounts on the bill for Mastercard users when I went.
Best ropeway you can visit in your life time in a city. You will have a good view of Singapore from above.
Good view of the Singapore skyline. Linked to the Southern Ridges trail such as Henderson Waves. Makes for a good evening walk with the family.
Nice cool place n good view.. i cycle there, love e climb.. try it.. u gonna love it !
15 minutes to Sentosa🚡
The cable car ride is good but the view from the top is little underwhelming. Take the car till sentosa if you lookung to spend time there.
Love the view. Tried Their signature food (lamb & the crab potato) it was good. Staff was friendly, lovely environment.
The place is good. There is good view of the city from the restaurant. The food is alright, but there is free flow plain water.
Great views! Worth for an hour.
Amazing views of Singapore. Worth the trip. Catch the cable car both ways for the full affect.
Lovely place and definitely worth a visit. The bistro cafe is laid back and offers fantastic views of the city.
Good and romantic place. Secluded nice view overlooking sentosa Island.
Great views over south Singapore. There's a restaurant and bar but we didn't try it.
3 Ts! Tranquility surrounding, Terpsichorean for calling it Mount, Tantalising panoramic view of Singapore
Dont get drink at dispensor
There's a restaurant there and it has a beautiful view
Still the same great night view over the years! It could be windy at the peak.
Very cool and calm place
It is a must to go by the cable car and the view from here is astonishing
The place is wonderful and getting there by cable car is equally wonderful, I recommend you get there at sunset and have dinner on the mountain.
Nice view, but nothing else special
There is comfort and easy travel inside the cabin. It's a little hot. You can sit and admire the atmosphere. It's beautiful and comfortable, but it might be a little scary because it's not a very big morning shift. As for the fare price, it's reasonable and not too expensive. The cable car moved slowly, not scary. There are stops and transit points and you can easily cross over to Sentosa. And you can buy day tickets easily.
Independent reviewer
Great view from the small hill over Singapore. Wonderful. You simply travel by gondola, enjoy the view and then continue by gondola to Sentosa. It's best to buy a day ticket for it.
The evening opening hours are until 21:30, don’t miss it.
