Reviews of TRIFECTA - Surf, Snow, Skate in Orchard Road
Walkie ard new spot at late hour. (10pm+)
Interesting activities at Orchard.
Coming again on weekend to check out the crowd .
Any kind advice on where is best place to park for weekend + long hrs (i.e 11am- 9pm) 🙏🏻 Thanks
I had such a great first lesson today! Instructor Takin was super patient and helpful. He showed me how to breathe properly, which really helped me stop overthinking and feel less scared of falling. He made everything so easy to understand and boosted my confidence. I’m so thankful for his guidance and can’t wait for my next lesson!
Absolutely loving the surf. Helpful instructor and having a great time surfing. Helmet, rash guard and surfboard provided. Tip for the first timer, book an intro session before any beginner class or open session.
Have done two intermediate classes with Han Wei so far. Just by asking which muscles ache, he corrected a bad habit that I subconsciously do - tiptoeing in the boot. Was very impressed by his observation skills and I really appreciate an instructor who can explain things in a way that’s easily understood. He got me comfortable with the speed for intermediate slopes and taught how to get into parallel skis. Whilst I can’t quite confidently do parallel skiing yet, I feel like it may happen soon 👍
Snowboarding gotta be the most enjoyable and satisfying hobby to pick up. Coaches JJ , Wesley and Eugene took me for most of my classes for the past 3 months . And I think I am quite the Pro on the stimulated runs already. Can’t wait to go for the real thing next year. Go for off peak lessons peeps, you get the most out of your moolahs~ 🏂🏂🏂🏂🏂🏂🏂
Loved the intro session. The place is really nice even to hand out, great vibe. I was instructed by Gilbert and it was super helpful, made some progress and got the support from him!
Had an absolute blast. The wave pool was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was like being in the middle of a Tony Hawk Pro Skater map. I also bought my first skateboard!
very hit-or-miss, depending on which instructor you get. the hits are downright amazing, and thankfully more common than the misses, but the misses make me genuinely wonder how these guys can charge $100/hour just to ignore some students the whole hour and choose to focus all their attention on chatting with the more experienced participants. would be great if we can see which instructor is scheduled for a class before booking.
Tried surfing on the Citywave pool and snowboard on the slopes on the first day of preview. Amazing experience and vibes are great. Butter serves good drinks as well.
Went for the snowboard trial. The instructors are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Also the gear is pretty good and this place is easy to get to.
Surf lessons are a hit or miss.
My first intro class was really great and the instructor was fun, encouraging while providing good advice.
At my second class, the instructor was borderline rude, very non specific in his advice, yelling at students. That is not acceptable when you pay $120 dollars for a one-hour session.
Slight update on what happened during the time when we were waiting for the coach:
Paid for skate surfing class for my kids. Was told due to weather, we need to change date. We changed to next day morning. We ensured that we were on time but the instructor was almost 1 hour late (45mins to be exact)!! He explained that he was not told of the class until the day itself. Whatever the reason was, it just seemed like a mess of management. The good thing was one of their crew members filled in to teach the kids while waiting for the coach. And he taught well though he isn’t a coach. The instructor was nice and taught them well too. The kids had fun.
We attended a few snowboard lessons (intro and beginner) on a weekly basis. It was intimidating at first, but all the instructors were super patient and knowledgeable, especially Melvin and John. Staff at the counters were also very helpful when we need to change the dates of our lessons. Thank you all for everything! Grateful for this experience!
Fun place with helpful staffs, instructors had patience and gave good tips to newbies. However there were some instance (at one of my first few lessons) where I felt the instructor might be a little annoyed cause I couldn't get hold of the technique they were teaching.
Would be great if there were some private lessons available for slow learners so won't feel bad for holding the class back.
Also wished we can see which instructors are teaching for the timeslots we book. But overall great place will recommend
As a huge fan of activities like this I am so glad a place like this opened up. I tried the ski and surf simulators and had a great time on both. The staff were super helpful and friendly as well, being a novice to both, I always felt like I was improving thanks to their guidance and patience. The only real criticism I would have is that I wish there were lockers to keep valuables, but if you're reading this please don't take this as a reason not to go because Trifecta is 100% worth it. From the actives, the food/drinks at the cafe to the wonderful humans who work there, this is a must try experience.
Excellent place to chill, enjoy and learn snowboarding. Having at least 1 lesson here definitely helps with snowboarding on the mountain. Definitely recommend everyone to try!
Super fun, and an interesting spot to hang out with my friends. There are various different sports available to try out! I did snowboarding intro class, the instructor was friendly and patient too! Will defo come back again.
Good with caveats, read on especially if you are looking at snow open sessions. This review only applies to the snow arena. I did 1 intro class + 1 open session.
Firstly, it is amazing to have such a facility for a decent price. I am sure it is good to have intro classes especially those who are new/preparing for a trip. The booking system online is good and operations are pretty nailed down.
However, I really do have some gripes about the open sessions. You do NOT get 100% of the time on the simulator. I went for an off peak slot ($40 for one hour), and it seemed to be running almost at full capacity (which I guess off peak in this case doesn't really matter). You have to share the sim with a bunch of other people, essentially having to rotate around. You probably only get 15 mins (or 20 if you're lucky) out of the whole hour. Makes me wonder if the lessons are more worth it ($80/100 for one hour), since those should guarantee you be able to do for the whole hour.
If Trifecta holds lessons and still need students to rotate, I will be even more disappointed. The intro class I did was okay because it was 4 people and most were beginners and only doing slight turns, hence allowing two people to one section of the sim. The comfortable capacity of the sim should be 3 people, if everyone uses the full width.
Edit 2:
Many things have improved since the first review, with various changes to the class schedules and season passes being mostly positive. Still some room for improvement in some areas, but definitely a much better experience now compared to the start.
Edit:
After this review went up, I was contacted by Alex (Trifecta) to discuss the issues. They have acknowledged that they are having challenges keeping up with answering emails timely, and are working on it. More staff are being hired for the classes, and situation should be better in January when the peak period ends and more staff return from holiday/TRS trips.
The roadmap for changes to class and open slots for booking in January was also shared, and there will be an increase in the open slots. The difficulties I faced in booking was addressed, and alternatives were discussed. Due to many people buying credit packs and wanting classes as well, Trifecta had to try to meet those demands, hence the changes in schedule for Dec.
The meeting was amiable, and answered my concerns at this point. I have also seen some changes already implemented, including an option to pause your season pass now available (max for 1 month), and more QOL improvements are in the works.
I am hopeful that the situation will improve next year as things stabilize. For now, I will up the rating to 3 stars, and will see how things go in Jan/Feb before revisiting the review. While it is reassuring to have these promises made, I feel that it is only fair to be rated on them if they are indeed implemented and alleviates the situation.
Appreciate Alex coming down to meet me in person to discuss the situation, and share the roadmap for improvements to the customers' experience down the line.

Do not buy the season passes here, especially the snow arena one. At least if you buy the full one you've a better a chance of being able to utilise it. Despite there being a season pass that lets you use up to 3 open sessions a day, there are only 2 off-peak sessions available daily now at 11am and 3pm. There are no options available for after work hours at all. This is a marked difference from the start with 3 sessions at 12pm, 6pm,and 10pm. The main reason for the change is to add more classes, which earns them more money but stiffs any season pass buyers. No warning was given before the change to reduce open sessions. In fact, we were told that there would be an increase in sessions.
Many replies by Trifecta here says to email then first to work out issues, but emails go unanswered for weeks, if at all. Questions asked in person often have no resolution either since no one seems to know what is going on.
If you want to try classes here and risk not being able to book before your credits expire, consider the credit packs, but once again, do NOT buy the snow season passes.
Would also advise wearing a watch or keeping track of your own time if you do manage to get a slot. Some of the instructors/staff may (and have) start open sessions late but end it on time, extending the paid classes by 5+ min into the open session time, so do keep a look out especially since the arena area has no clocks. No apologies for starting late, despite having a policy to report 30min early.
Alternatively, they're also not the only company (nor the first) to have the snow simulator setup in Singapore.
On the plus side, staff and instructors are friendly and willing to help if you need tips on the simulators, even if it's an open session (if you get a slot).
Surfing Instructor are very caring and friendly. A great place for all ages. We enjoyed it very much.
‘Lean back’, ‘sit in more’, ‘don’t lock your knees’ are some consistent advice I hear in the snow arena. The simulators in the snow arena has helped me to deconstruct old habits that were hindering my snowboard on the mountain. I’ve been enjoying snow boarding ever since.
Amazing to be able to surf and snowboard in the heart of the city. Always a great time with state-of-the-art facilities.
Staff are extremely accommodating which makes it unintimidating to pick the sport up.
11/10!
Great service, great instructors! Surfs up in the middle of Orchard. Would recommend spending a half day there to ride and grab lunch with mates.
I loved the surfing. It's amazing to ride a wave in the middle of the city. Good vibes and great instructors, can't wait to come back.
Tried the surf and snow areas, super amazing to be able to do these sports in Singapore!
Singapore’s first deep-water surfing with real surfboards with fins!
Retail staff Galen and Jason were very helpful!!
