Amazing owners of this record shop. Hidden gem! They are very honest and friendly. They told us there is no obligation to purchase anything and just happy that we engage in meaningful conversations. My kid loves the shop with good collections of vintage records.

As a new vinyl enthusiast, I was not sure how and what to purchase, and each shop I go to is a new learning experience. Between the various vinyl stores at Excelsior - Peninsular - Adelphi, you will get a different feel in each one, but this is the best. You will think it is messy and chaotic, but this is why it is amazing. The owner is able to show you so much and share so much with you that even a beginner like me feels welcomed. After I answered some simple questions to help him better understand my needs, he proceeded to offer different items that would help me appreciate my record player all the more. And when I shared about some singers and groups that I was interested in, he quickly helped me to select some suitable albums and all were very reasonably priced. Highly recommended! And for those who are just starting out, go to the 4th floor unit.

Quite a lot of records be it first pressing , reissue etc . Would love to browse but the shop owner character kinda stops there. A judgmental person . I still recall telling me his 10k + hifi setup . Its not about the price or the snake oil . The most expensive audio which money cant buy is your own ears . Be humble and im sure your sales will succeed. Cheers

so...was looking for vinyl shops in singapore and google listed them and among that For the Record! a quiet quirky quintessential store that reaks music. run by two brothers Sri and Andrew who were ever so friendly and knows every album, every press, every artist. walked away with 4 classic vinyls and 1 for the look out. if you’re looking for 1st press and the classics this is the place for you! its not your usual fancy looking record store all polished...go here for the real stuff!! 👍🏽
