I highly recommend this place! The co-owners, Derrick and Chong Hui, were incredibly friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about their work. You could see the joy on their faces as they watched each of us enjoy the experience and leave with a beautiful music box, each piece carrying a personal story. They guided us step by step, ensuring we were fully involved in the creation process. We booked this workshop for a bachelorette party. Although our session was scheduled for 4 pm, some of my friends arrived late. Derrick and Chong Hui were so understanding and never rushed us, even though the workshop was meant to last 2-3 hours. Since there was no session after ours, they let us take our time, and we ended up finishing around 9 pm. Despite the long hours, they remained patient and kind. I truly enjoyed the experience and would definitely return. Thank you, Derrick and Chong Hui, for bringing such a joyful and meaningful creation into our lives!

Had a wonderful hands-on experience doing diy music box together with my bridesmaids. Derrick and Chong Hui are both very patient and helpful in us. I would say this is definitely the best Christmas present I have gifted myself this year. Attended a workshop with Chong Hui and Derrick to create my own Christmas-themed musical box. They started off with explaining the origin, structure and mechanism of a musical box to us. We also chose our own music and words to engrave on our boxes. We were all in awe with how passionate they are about their work and it’s inspiring and a privilege to meet someone taking so much pride in their work. Had a great session working on a craft that was so cute, so personalized, and so meaningful that it can last a lifetime for my family! It's been 3 weeks and we still enjoy winding the musical box to be mesmerized by the lovely music and cute moving ornaments. It’s been a memorable workshop for my hen’s night! We managed to learn a lot from the history of musical box, to the mechanics within the box, and the design aspects of it. A very well-organised & fun-filled 2h workshop at Montfort Junior School as part of our year-end staff bonding activity. Had such a fun time exploring the different mini figurines and putting together my masterpiece! Founders, Derrick and Chong Hui was so patient in sharing how the different mechanics of the musical box works as well as how each musical box is so customisable. Derrick help to comb through their stash of stocks just to find if a particular figurine that I wanted was still available and Chong Hui help to paste the mini figures onto the musical box when my long nails are getting in the way, not forgetting to explain even how the glue works and what are the things to look out for. Enjoyed my time here with colleagues as part of team retreat activity. Intrigued by the set up of the place the moment I stepped in, very welcoming, lots of figurines and a peaceful vibe. Chong Hui and Derrick were patient in sharing about the history and mechanics behind musical boxes. So lovely to learn about the intricate details and hard work behind each musical box! There is a wide selection of songs to choose from - so much so that I had difficulty choosing one! You can also select from a variety of box set up, including size, shape, no. of rotating elements and levels. We then spent the most of our time decorating our personal musical box - so spoilt for choice, as there is a huge range of figurines to choose from. And they are so cute! Some of them are also handmade/hand-painted too. After completing our musical box, they have have a light box for us to take beautiful pictures and videos of the musical box. You definitely wouldn’t want to miss this part! Highly recommend this place for a treat for yourself, or time with loved ones ☺️

Came across this while searching for a hands on craftwork for Valentines and I came across this on Google. Both Derrick and Chong Hui were very accommodating and guided us through the whole entire process of making the musical box, while explaining to us the mechanism and history of the musical box. The whole process took a little longer than expected but we managed to finalise our musical box in around 3 hours. My girlfriend and I was extremely satisfied with the outcome of the design, and it gave us an opportunity to design something together. Thank you very much for the guidance and the input during the whole workshop! And I really appreciate the kind gesture of reserving the Cinnamoroll figurine for us when I enquired about the reservation. If you wish to do something with your loved ones on a special occasion, this is a place I would recommend going to.

Was just randomly searching if there are any new places to explore and visit then I stumbled upon this, a music box workshop. It was a cozy cute little shop with shelves and shelves of cute ornaments which was made by both the shop owners themselves and some by local artists. They have a huge variety from animals, food items, cartoon characters, trains, tables, chairs etc. It was really really cute and you will be spoilt for choices! Not only that, you have like a whole list of music you can choose from like river flows in you, ode to joy, Harry potter and alot more which you could pre choose and decide from the list at their website page before coming down for your workshop. Before assembling our very own music box, they share the evolution of the musical box, the types of musical box there are and how the mechanism works, the little gears and springs too. Once all is completed, they even have photo light box where you can take your final product pictures and videos! You can even change like the background colour which was so cool! The extra miles that they go is just amazing! Manage to also chit chat with both owners , Chong hui and Derrick. It was nice to hear how they started and their ups and downs. They are really friendly people to talk to ! So sorry if we did take too much of your time hahaha. But we had a lot of fun doing our own music box and getting to know them too! Will definitely be back next time, please wait for my return 😂✌🏻 If you are looking for a interesting fun activity to do with your family, friends and even team bonding, this is super recommended, hit them up to find out more!

Had our team bonding at OKDoDoo today! Derrick and Chong Wei was very passionate when they explained to us how they started this. They were very knowledgeable, sharing with us the how music box came about and the mechanism. 👍🏼 Derrick and Chong Wei were very patient and gave us ample time to design our music box. 😁 We were so spoilt for choices! They had handmade all the ornaments! 😍 Most impressed with the balloons that they had handmade (see photos)! It was very pretty and the effort they had put it, it’s not easy! As such, note that this is limited! 😆 They had also gave us ideas how we can position certain ornaments before we drill/ glue them and it all falls really nicely. 😊 Love how there were many font types for the (laser) engraving too! They even created a box with lighting so that we can all take a nice photo/video of our end product! And I think this is a great idea! 😄 We enjoyed ourselves and are very pleased with the music box! A wonderful place opened by Derrick and Chong Hui, who led the workshop with so much passion and joy! The whole experience was customised and they would go above and beyond to help you design your musical box. For example, Chong Hui helped me change the colour of a penguin to suit the overall colour of my musical box. Derrick is eloquent and shares clear and scaffolded instructions, super easy to follow, even for young children! They are well-prepared, as they would prepare all materials unique to you, including music of choice, beforehand such that the whole process is smooth and you can spend more time designing and customising your musical box! <In the literary world of Japan, there is the "Worry-Relief Grocery Store" book, and in the music world of Singapore, there is the "Okdodoo Lyrical Music Box Workshop" store> I was lucky enough to visit this music box workshop during my trip to Singapore in September this year. One of the founders was once an engineer at a Singapore technology company that I met at work in Taiwan. I learned about it during casual conversations while working together. He is passionate about world travel and art appreciation, and you can feel his passion and yearning for exotic humanities and art right now. Many years later, the founder and another like-minded friend gave up their enviable and well-paying jobs and jointly founded the "Okdodoo Music Workshop" in Singapore. The two chatty founders have installed about a hundred music boxes of various shapes in this small but well-equipped music workshop, each of which is unique in the world. When you step into this workshop, you will instantly feel like you have fallen into a fairy tale world filled with natural music.
