I am glad my mum landed in NTUC Health Senior Day care Toa Payoh since she is diagnosed with mild dementia in 2016. I have seen the changes that NTUC and the management have made and transformed the center environment to be a very conducive environment from then to now. The staff are patient and I would like to mention a few of them who I have interaction with. The “am escort”, Uncle Basari, he’s always jovial and doing the extra miles in many occasions. 1 is reminding me to give my mum medication before he fetches her in the morning. And making sure she’s safe while moving her from my house to the center The other is Penny, she’s super patient and gets along well with my mum. She helps to clean n change her when my mum has loose stools or mild diarrhoea. And never have I heard that she complained about such cuz the stools could be very “stink” and sores panty. Yoke Cheng, thanks for reacting to the finance and billing quickly. This really helps. Discharging her from daycare is my last resort but I definitely miss the warmth and patience of each and everyone

My mum attended dementia care for more than 5 years. Thanks the staff for their care and attention to my mum needs e.g. fluid restrictions, food allergy and medicines to take. She enjoys the games and happy with the prizes she won. She will happily show off her prizes to me. Thanks Yoke Cheng, Ivanne, nurse Natasha and the team for your care and love to my mum.

I would like to express my appreciation, and also share my very positive experience with the centre. Helmed by an ever-obliging and competent Centre Manager Yoke Cheng, and assisted by dedicated and committed Centre Supervisor Ivanne, Nursing Aides Catrina and Charmaine, as well as the enthusiastic Care Associates, this centre is always abuzz with warm and welcoming vibes. When one of the elderly residents was diagnosed with COVID last year, the staff rallied around the residents, and their families, and took great pains to call each and every one to ensure they were coping well. This was despite the fact that the staff themselves also had to serve quarantine. They kept their spirits high, and displayed fortitude in adversity. This episode moved me tremendously. At the centre, all elderly folks are treated with respect and given meticulous care. My Dad has been with them for years now. With moderate dementia, he often forgets to finish his meals, and the staff takes great efforts to coax him to eat. Those who are considering the centre for their elderly family members, be rest assured that they will receive the due attention, their days at the centre will be well spent!

I am greatly delighted with the day- care services rendered to my 89 year old , Auntie Margaret Joseph at the Silvercare Centre. The care given is par excellence . The staff are courteos , approachable, dedicated n very engaging with the Seniors in all activities. It is a joy to see the seniors smiling most of the time spending their stay n talking with their peers. Joseph Louis Margaret Joseph's nephew.
