I did the SMILE procedure with Dr Eugene and the experience was top notch. Dr and his team were very friendly and professional, providing detailed explanation of the procedure and answered all questions promptly. The procedure was surprisingly very smooth and quick, with almost no downtime. By the next day, my vision was fully restored and recovery went well with hardly any discomfort. Highly recommended.

Did ReLEx SMILE with Dr. Eugene Tay and had an amazing experience overall! Dr. Tay was knowledgeable, reassuring, and skilled (my operation was painless and done within 10 minutes), and I've regained perfect vision without any noticeable side effects. The service staff are friendly and attentive (shoutout to Karen!) and go the extra mile to help you get navigate post-op (your vision will be blurry initially, but will get clearer over a couple weeks). All in all, for anyone intending to get refractive eye surgery done, I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Tay.

Ms. Karen at the front desk was very welcoming and assisted me with registration when I first went to the clinic. Ms. Eunice was thoughtful in making sure I received all the necessary eye exams. When explaining the operation he suggested for me, Dr. Tay was very patient. I underwent surgery the same day. He was really professional, and the procedure just took a few minutes. I don't really feel much discomfort, overall. I was pleased with the end product. My requirement for glasses is no longer necessary. To others, I highly suggest.

Dr Eugene Tay did an amazing job in correcting my vision! He carefully explained the entire process of what he would do, reassured me throughout the entire surgery, and also provided excellent and tailored after care advice. The staff was so friendly and considerate! I remember when i first did my operation someone held my hand to guide me to and fro the operating table. They helped me apply all kinds of eyedrops and checked in frequently if i was in any discomfort! They even let me bring home part of my eye that was lasered off🙈 And Dr Eugene was so knowledgeable, he answered all my questions about the surgery and gave me peace of mind when i went for my operation. And can you believe it, I did my consultation and operation on the same day! Nova eye is really efficient! 👀 Finally I can wake up and see the world clearly!

The doctor advised about the Smile surgery excellently and did the surgery very well. I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. The nurses and staffs were also kind and gave me an excellent service. I had no pain at all and literally smiled! Soon, I got my vision back gradually. Best purchase ever made! I am so glad my friend recommended me to Nova Eye Centre! I've had a rather pleasant experience from the first step into the clinic. The services were lovely and greatly appreciated. I was given very clear instructions; where Dr Eugene Tay together with his team gave me a proper walk through that I had almost no questions to clarify. During the first appointment, they had assessed my eyes thoroughly to ensure they are healthy enough for ReLEx SMILE. On the day of surgery, everyone was comforting and it was a very quick and painless procedure. Less than 7 minutes, and I was out of the room. It was impressive! I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested. It is safe with very little to no downtime. I have also noticed how my mood improved after the surgery. Previously, I would get cranky in the mornings before leaving for work because of my myopia, so by the time I step out of the house, my mood would have turned sour. It was dreadful to start my mornings like that. After getting the surgery, I no longer have bad mornings and I leave my house light-hearted because I can see everything clearly now! There are many things I can do now with my perfect eyesight and I really believe it would be life-changing for anyone. Thank you again Nova Eye team! I wish you well always!

Dr Eugene is by far the best doctor I ever met. I did my Relex Smiles surgery with him. He is very professional at his work, makes me feel at ease with his cheerful and outgoing attitude. I did not feel any stress at all during the surgery. My recovery time was also very speedy. His team is also very friendly and reassuring, guiding me through the procedures and processes. Did my lasik with Dr Eugene Tay when he was at SNEC. He treated my dry eyes patiently before I was ready for the refractive treatment. He stood firmly with this treatment plan although he knew that I could have gone to someone else during this period of time. He also advised me on post-surgery care especially when I had dry eyes to begin with. I am a happy patient. If there were SmiLe during that time, I would have gone for that and stick to Dr Eugene still. Recommended a few friends to him and they said nothing but great experience with him and Nova Eye Centre. Highly recommended!

Dr Eugene is great! After doing all the eye checks, he would tell you what is the best for you as well as the pro’s & con’s along with it. When i visited him, I wanted to do Smile...but after the eye check I was told that I am not suitable for Smile & Lasek would be the better option due to my high degree & thin cornea. As he was recommended by my friend and hearing all the great feedback from her, I went ahead & trusted my eyes into Dr Eugene hand. The surgery is not only fast, but through the surgery he kept reassuring me by letting me know what he is going to do, that its going to be done & encouraging too constantly letting me know that i’m doing great, etc. Not only did the surgery went well, but the after care as well. He did not make me feel like his client, but a friend instead, it is easy to speak with him. I highly recommend Dr Eugene. His team as well, from the moment you step in till you leave, they make sure that you feel comfortable through it all. Will definitely recommend the people around me to him! Dr Eugene Tay has a professional, confident and friendly demeanor. He explains the findings and analysis he gets from the scans and pictures of my eyes from the spanking new machines clearly, and quickly coming to the best treatment option that's best for me accurately. Was pleased that the original prognosis based on a quick preliminary look at the neighbourhood polyclinic was proven inaccurate by Dr Tay - this alone saved me many sleepless nights of worry. The team also found that the prescription glasses from just a month before by my optician was inaccurate. The detail and care with which the in-house nurse did the testing for the prescription lenses testing compared to the optician clearly points to where the inaccuracy lay. Did I mention the new machines? I suspect they must be better calibrated than the optician's machine in the mall. The clinic is homely, cozy, and has a very friendly vibe with kind smiles from the entire team. Highly recommended.

The procedure was very smooth and the nurses and dr eugene tay was very friendly and nice! felt very safe and reassured throughout the entire process and the routine checkups after also helped a lot. Thank you for changing my life 😭😭

Had an urgent eye condition and the staff was kind enough to give me an almost immediate walk in appointment. The clinic is neat and hygienic. I didnt have to wait long for the vision test and consultation. The vision test done by the lady is very thorough and dr eugene is also very detailed in the eye examination. He took photos of my eye and showed to me on the computer and explained clearly what was the problem. I felt much assured after seeing him. Definitely highly recommend Dr Eugene esp if you are staying around marine parade area as it very convenient.

Imagine this scenario: On a Saturday afternoon, when most clinics r closing, u suddenly noticed startling light flashes n mega floaters in your eye. U make a call to an eye clinic highly recommended by a friend. The staff is friendly, professional n asks for your symptoms. After patiently listening to you, advise that u come in despite the approaching closing time for them. I was initially hesitant but thanks to her clear explanation, that it was necessary to rule out a possible serious condition, in view of the weekend delay. So I visited the clinic. This is a little unusual in my experience, as most clinics on weekends near closing time would advise u to come in on a Monday or the A&E if your condition gets worse over the weekend. Sounds familiar? But not with Nova Eye Centre. *It turns out I had a retina tear that needed treatment. can’t imagine if the delay might have resulted in a worse outcome for me… I’m glad I didn’t have to go through that possibility thanks to Dr Eugene Tay n his team members. 😀 Dr Tay is an excellent ophthalmologist; check out those stellar credentials. He is highly recommended by all of his patients n it’s easy to see why: on top of excellent skills n credentials, he is patient, kindly n reassuring. U know u r in good hands, a great doctor who is experienced, well skilled n genuinely caring. Another important element: the well trained and helpful team of staff members at Nova. While a great doctor is like a tiger lol, he or she becomes one with wings when supported by a good team of staff who form the first contact with patients n ensure the treatment process is smooth n stressless. U get the best possible care with Dr Tay n his team whom I would recommend unreservedly. I can’t thank u n your staff enough for making the time, going the extra mile to help me save my sight.
