Straits eye center is an outstanding clinic. We walked in to an aesthetically calming and beautiful space. I was offered the best care and treatment for my eyes, after my LASIK Smile Surgery. Dr Jayant is incredibly knowledgeable, transparent and caring. He and his staff carried out comprehensive eye check up examination with utmost professionalism and care. Dr Jayant also explained the details of the results and patiently answered all our questions. We were satisfied with our experience and recommend Straits Eye.

I found out about The Straits Eye Centre through social media and went to The Straits Eye Centre at Clementi Branch. After the doctor checked my eyes condition, the staff at Clementi referred my to Dr Jayant at Camden Medical Centre for further assessment. To my surprised the clinic is very neat, clean n so comfortable and they provide free drink, too. Dr Jayant was very thorough in doing my eye examination and explain on my eye condition and kind of lens to use in simple form that i can understand. I had done on both my eyes cataract removal and Dr Jayant is very caring and wanted the best for me. Now I can see very clear and very happy. I would like to thank so much to Dr Jayant and to all his staff, particularly to staff Hanisah. Keep up the good work!! I would highly recommend The Straits Eye Centre and Dr Jayant.

I’m so grateful to have Dr. Jason Lee to flush my tear ducts which have been bothering me over 3 months and I was expecting him to tell me that a surgical treatment is necessary and ended up he solved the problem for me!!!! I visited the Straits Eye Centre with my kid and my Dad on separate occasions. Consulted with Dr Jayant and Dr Jason. Dr Jayant was meticulous in his examination and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the conditions in a way we could understand, patiently explaining the pros and cons of each treatment option. He was warm and friendly, putting my kid (and myself) at ease. Dr Jason has a calm and reassuring bedside manner. He performed a clinic procedure for my Dad with great skill, causing minimal discomfort. We appreciated his genuine care and expert guidance. To top it off, the staff here are excellent and the clinic runs like a well-oiled machine. They were efficient yet warm, polite and helpful. Will definitely be back if the need arises!

My mum has been under the care of both Dr Jayant and Dr Jason. And her experience has been very pleasant. Dr Jayant is very thorough in his approach and mum feels very reassured after each consultation. Dr Jayant also identified that droopy eyelids were one of the issues affecting her eyesight and making her feel tired. She underwent ptosis surgery by Dr Jason and has recovered well. And surely, her vision and general wellbeing have improved. Thank you, Doctors!

I was very worried about a non-resolving infection in both my eyes during CNY, and thankfully I found The Straits Eye Centre during the long weekend. Dr Jayant has excellent bedside manner, is a great communicator and puts his patient’s needs first. His clinic staff are also very polite and efficient with pre-consult testing, resulting in minimal waiting time from time of registration to the end of the consult. Authentic | Brand New | Professional Dr Jayant and Dr Jason together with the Straits Eye team took great care of my friend and I during our eye examination and check up at their newly-launched eye care centre. This centre houses state of the art medical equipment in pristine condition and our overall experience was punctual, painless, and precise. They were meticulous in their work, transparent with their fees, and we feel very comfortable recommending our friends and family to also benefit from their professional care and candour. Fun fact: Dr Jayant speaks pretty decent mandarin!

I had a wonderful experience here, being referred to Dr Lee..a very caring doc and his assistants. It took 2 months and two small procedures to lick my persistent eyelid problem. Throughout, the team was very caring, answering queries even outside working hours very promptly, fitting me in fast when I was in eye discomfort, checking back frequently even via WhatsApp. Kudos to the whole team! Had my eye screening done here. I called 1 hour before appointment, as I was travelling. And they actually managed to squeeze me in. Kuddos to Dr Jayant ! After full examination he explained to me what went wrong about my eye care taking into consideration my other health conditions. Very detailed and attentive. I visited Straits Eye Centre at Camden Medical on Orchard Boulevard on 16th November 2022 at 3.30 pm. The entire experience was very pleasant and smooth. I could easily book the appointment via the What'sApp number and the Receptionist (Ms.Susan) was kind enough to check on convenience and confirmed the appointment. A pre-consultation form was sent via What'sApp too to fill-in all my personal data. And more importantly my consultation with Dr. Jayant Iyer was very professional and compassionate. He explained all the issues clearly and gave me personalised attention. The Technical Assistant (Ms. Sophia) too was very professional and competent. On the whole a very fulfilling experience. I had one of the best experiences going to the Straits Eye Centre for a scheduled eye check up. My friend and I booked our appointments separately via what's app at 8870 4700. On the day of our check up, we were greeted warmly by the staff who took down our information. The wait was short and we were soon greeted by Dr Jayant who was all smiles. His assistant took me to a separate room for my visual acuity test where you have to sit 20 feet away from the chart and identify a series of letters printed. You cover each eye respectively and try to read out each letter aloud as it gets smaller. Next we did the visual refraction eye test which helps the Dr to determine if you need vision correction. The fancy equipment used is called the Autorefractor which provides an objective measurement of a person's refractive error & prescription for glasses / contact lenses. Following which, we did another test called the fundoscopy which helps the Dr look at your cornea, optic nerve, lens, and retina. We also did a corneal topography which determines if your cornea is curved. Thousands of pictures are taken to map the shape of your eye. I was really impressed by the equipment used as everything was brand new. However, what was more impressive was how Dr Jayant who took his time to explain each examination done with me. It was truly an engaging and educational experience. Many adults, especially those in their 30s & 40s, forgo vision test because they think they dont need them. But eye exams can help you get out in front of blindness-causing conditions like glaucoma. In addition, eye check ups can also help doctors identify other non vision-related conditions like brain tumors, cancer, stroke, etc. You know what the say, a stitch in time saves nine!
