Reviews of 218 Centre Hokkien Mee
To me I feel it still delicious compare to last time even there is a lot of bad review ,fyi the old uncle have passed away quite sometime left the wife which is the auntie standing outside I still support them. Consider a good Hokkien mee around Punggol
Not the best Fried Kway Teow or Fried Oyster Eggs. However if you are staying in Punggol and craving for Fried Kway Teow, there isn’t much choice. At least it fill your craving.
I bought a pack of fried prawn noodles and fried carrot cake to try. The prawn noodles lacked flavour and salt and there was a strong burnt aftertaste (does not taste like wok hey). The pork lard was fragrant but became soft because I bought takeaway. Fortunately, the carrot cake did not disappoint. It is delicious and not too greasy, there is fragrance from the chai por and had enough salt.
Recently tried the Fried Hokkien Mee on Foodpanda. The fresh ingredients made it a satisfying meal. While enjoyable, the noodles could have had a stronger prawn flavor. The oysters omelette is tasty but they didn’t include the chilli, sadly.
One of the best Hokkien Prawn Mee in Punggol & Sengkang area. Love the thick and wet gravy. There's wok hei and the ingredients are fresh. Definitely will come back whenever there's a craving.
Was quite let down after all the hype from some ch8 show reviewing food from diff heartland areas. Very average tasting hokkien mee that is too wet & the chilli isn't nice either. I'll stick to simon road/upp east coast/lor 8 tpy.
Average Hokkien mee with strong wok flavoured. Personally feel that the taste can be better. Queue can be about 15-20 mins. Of all the Hokkien mee, still find the best at Toa Payoh Lor 1 Tian Tian Lai Hokkien mee. $4 for the smallest plate with fresh 🍤
This is $7 , looks good but taste average only. Will not travel just to eat.
Great flavor but the noodle was left in the wok for sometime before I ordered. Too soggy.
Nice Hokkien Prawn Mee, taste is well balanced, like the freshly made chilli sauce.
Very good hokkien mee in sk/punggol area. Char-ed taste was good!
Carrot cake - meh
Hokkien Mee - meeeehhh
Not sure about the stall owners but they kinda like blend food.
The coffee shop is dirty, ceiling never clean for so long. They coffee and tea not nice also.
The hokkien mee not so nice already compared to previously. They fried one big wok and put aside, when got order than they heat up and serve you.
Nice aroma and taste yummy!
For those who want bigger serving, can order add noodles $1 instead of ordering the $7 or $9 prawn noodles (which also comes with more ingredients (eg. Prawns/sotong)
Hokkien Mee was great, Oyster Egg also good. Carrot cake (dark) was a little too salty. Portion was generous and serving time was quick.
Wet type to my liking but the 3 prawns were mushy. Seems like not fresh. Need $8 order to fill my tummy. For the price, I expect at least the prawns to be fresh.
Ordered hokkien noodles, fried kway teow, carrot cake and fried oyster egg through Food Panda.Hokkien noodles is yummilious, the rest are not too bad.Requested cutlery but was not given.Portion are rather small despite price....
New coffee shop in a spanking new punggol area. Awesome charcoal wok flavoured hokkien mee! However, expect long waiting time up to half an hour on weekends!
Try the Char Kuay Teow when uncle with flat hat is there. Classic 70s taste, simple, hearty and tasty. Delicious. One of my favourite CKT around.
Hokkien Mee is great! It is the wet version.
Pork lard were of larger sizes, very flavourful
Had the hokkien mee this evening. Flavorful, savoury with chili that has kick! Has a tinge of wok hei too. Recommended!!! Yumsss
Many choices of food, Chinese mala, Thai food, Western food, zhu cha taste good , price reasonable.Good place to eat.
Hokkien mee is nice and decent portion.
Good to try.
Very friendly and funny cook and his wife.fiid is nice too.
Love their hokkien mee. The wok hey is on point.
One of the few better food options in Punggol.
Good wok hei!
A basic 3 star experience! The best you can find in Punggol I supposed.
Can get Hokkien Mee, fried carrot cake, oyster omelette.
The Hokkien Mee is great. Worth trying
Nice..pork belly
Chilli is spicy and nice
Hokkien mee too X price
V good hokien mee.
Nice Place to Visit!
Busy as usual
Hokkien Mee is a Legend.
Standard dropped
The price is okay, but the food portions are small! Not enough to eat! I have to eat two portions at a time, and the carrot cake will end up with more eggs, less carrots, and too many eggs! The egg smell is too strong!
Great
The hometown chef is good. Although I am not full, the price/performance ratio is good.
