Reviews of 58 Minced Meat Noodle
This stall serves a decent bowl of bak chor mee ($4/$5/$6 sizes available), but it's probably not worth the wait (30-min wait at 11.30am on a weekday). The consistency of the noodles is on the sticky/gluey side, and the chili is spicier than average. Overall, I think there are better bak chor mee options elsewhere, even within the hawker center itself.
Ate this twice in 3 days! Was introduced by a friend to try this at taman jurong hawker. There is a queue but takes quite fast to clear. It was easy to order. Auntie was nice. No attitude shown whatsoever like some places that have become so busy.
They have small, med and large. Even with small, the noodle qty is sufficient to fill stomach. The main difference is the amount of ingredients.
Rmb to add cong and some vinegar yourself before enjoying your bcm!
By far this is my fav bcm in Singapore !
A consistently good and hearty bowl of BCM. Imho, the most comforting bowl of bcm in Sg. Miss the old porcelain bowls, though.
What sets this BCM apart from others:
- Flavourful soup that is full of porky goodness
- Vinegar - you can adjust it to your taste - I recommend to add more!
- Pork lard - fresh and crunchy!
A great BCM as my breakfast, to start my TGIF. It's been quite a while to get traditional BCM.
My go-to for bak chor mee. All variations (mee pok / mee kia / mee tai bak, spicy / non spicy, soup / no soup). This stall is as good as the original stall at the Taman Jurong Hawker Centre opposite this place. Might be slightly more expensive than the original stall, but there are fewer people queuing and there's aircon. It's $4 for the normal bowl, $5 for a bigger bowl. Mee kia is cooked al-dente which is exactly how I like it.
The Bak Cho Mee was great. Although need to Q, but for the taste is worth it. Also the price was very reasonable. The dry sauce was prepared just nice. With abit of vinegar taste 🤤.
Finally sunk my teeth into this frequently rated bak chor mee after queueing for half an hour. Fairly delicious bowl of noodles. Noodles are little too cooked to my liking. A little more pork lard should make it more flavorful. Pork and liver were cooked till nice and tender. Overall, decent bowl of bak chor mee. Not worth the long wait though.
Old school BCM. Everything also above avg, quite nicely done in taste. But noodle a bit too soft for my likening.
For $6 they really give a lot of noodle but ingredients wise not that much.
A nice BCM if I live nearby and will come often to eat. But not to travel half SG to eat.
A truly hidden gem hiding in a food court in Jurong! While everyone was raving about the 58 BCM stall at the food centre next block, my preference would be this stall inside 399 Foodcourt!
I have this inkling that the two stalls are related (probably relatives) but I never had the courage to ask… Just eat only, lah!
Noodles were cooked Al-dente, very generous with the toppings and overall always a very hearty and satisfying bowl of BCM!
Expect long queues in the morning! The good thing is that the owners are very efficient in their cooking so waiting time is relatively short!
Generous bowl filled with minced meat, pork liver, mushroom, pork slices and pork lard.

BCM was still alright! The mushrooms were great, apart from that everything else kind of taste like the usual Bak Chor Mee you can get anywhere else. However the quality is good so the food is still delicious! Would recommend this BCM if anyone is hungry for it in the west.
This is a long wait queue, be prepared for one! But you can take the work that goes into each bowl. Too good!
The noodles were abit clumpy but it also had a rich amount of sauce. Overall, a decent bowl of noodles.
Solid bowl of noodles. Don’t be fooled by the $3.50 “small” bowl, there’s plenty of food!
Food is not bad, paid $5 for medium bowl and $6 for a large bowl. Can't tell the difference unfortunately. Long queue during lunch, but queue moves quite fast.
The noodles have great texture, and the flavours are really nicely balanced. The liver isn't very strong tasting, and it's just nicely cooked, never tough. Vinegar can be added to your own preference. A negative point is the long queue, so there's generally a 30 minute wait.
They serve both the usual dry version as well as a soup version. The former is t prepared as dry as I would’ve liked so the noodles end up being over cooked and slightly soggy. Taste wise is pretty decent and portion is generous for the price. Queue is not as long as its neighbour Seri so if you can’t bear the long wait for Seri then you can settle for this.
Normally I will not go up to 3rd floor for breakfast. But on Thursday, I went up and tried this stall for the first time. Wow. I love the taste of the broth . Great nostalgic taste. Will go back for more
Cooked just right. I however wished to have more ingredients in the bowl.
My favourite bak chor mee (minced meat noodle) stall in Singapore! Love to order their kway teow as it is very soft and freshly made Addition of liver and pork lard is a must as well, just ask and you will receive. Deon is very friendly and is generous with the ingredients. Even though prices were raised slightly recently, I would still return as it’s just damn good! They have outlets at NTU and Suntec as well.
I felt the noodle was alright. The sight of my noodle is too big. Soup was ok
58 Minced Meat Noodles Taman Jurong - Suntec Branch
We were just talking about eating Bak Chor Mee for lunch. I did not want to just eat Seng Huat at Bugis or Yan Kee at Circular Road. I was thinking of something more famous and I started my google search. I was sure one of the bigger names other than Jalan Tua Kong Ah Lim, would have opened a branch in town. In fact, I was really thinking of Seng Hiang or something similar. I was very surprised that I found this one. Situated in a karaoke pub, it served Bak Chor Mee for breakfast and lunch. It was quite a good Bak Chor Mee, my lunch kakis gave good comments. I like the fact that they served it with lean pork and liver. While the chef was cooking and I saw some bowls being served, I was already sure that the noodles here were a little soggy compared to what I usually have, this allows the seasoning to get into the noodles better. The vinegar used was lesser than places like Tai Wah of Hong Lim, the chilli was not as spicy as I like and the pork lard taste was also a little more mild. After finishing the bowl, I did not feel the pork lard in my system, it was really like a low fat Bak Chor Mee. Nothing like Tai Wah or Amoy. So certainly not among my favorites but a pretty good one. But then again, I would say, a good Bak Chor Mee in a foodcourt might come very close to it. For Bak Chor Mee with lean pork, I still like 昇和 or Sheng He which still has outlet in Tampines and Hougang. Friends who like a low fat Bak Chor Mee, this would be great for them.
This place is a worthy mention. Wish I took a pic. Can't attest for chilli, had white. The flavour reminds me of my childhood place at Marine Parade. But haven't had a chance to visit again since they started the ECP (East Coast Plan). Next time I'll get the $5 bowl. Bravo! 5 stars.
Nicest bak chow mee in west side so far
Quite nice bak chor mee. But inflation everything is going sky high. We have to earn more money haha.
My go-to bcm in the West.. enough said. I prefer the kway tiao dry because it's simply better.
If you're going to queue for the lor mee, I'd rather you spend your time at this stall.
Good bowl of bak chor mee. Long queue though. $5 portion is quite a lot as per picture.
Best BCM tasted so far and charge at reasonable price
Saw the queues and decided to give it a shot. Im glad i did. The noodles were flavourful and the meat was well seasoned. Highly recommend!
Love the taman jurong setup. When I tried at suntec, tastes somewhat different when boss not the one cooking
27 Oct 22. Still the best BCM
Very nice n famous noodles sold here. But queue very long about 20 to 30mins.
Always support hardworking bosses!
Delicious
Value for money
standards seem to have dropped a little. noodles were abit soggy, but still a solid bowl of minced meat noodles for the price.
Haven't try it yet. But normally there is a queue so I think it should be good
Best minced meat noodle in west that eaten so far
OG stall, prepare to q for a delicious bowl of noodle.
Food is good.. But the Q is about 45mins long.
I have been eating at this stall for the last 20 years
Very generous amount of fresh ingredients. Must try.
This is my favourite Ba Chor Mee in Singapore.
Favourite BCM
Cheap and fresh ingredients
Well worth the trip.
Standard drop tremendously....
👍👍👍👍
Acceptable..
Noodles are the super Al dente type, not really what I prefer. Button mushrooms in the noodles make it weird. Overall ok.
The price has gone up by 5 cents, the portion is still the same, and the taste is great!
