Reviews of Carmelite Monastery
Updated Dec. 13, 2021
Since the pandemic I have stopped coming to Carmelite thinking it is being closed to outsiders just like the adoration rooms & the churches. But after a year into the pandemic, I kept thinking of Mt. Carmel. So one fine day this month of Dec 2021, I came and was surprised to find out they still welcome worshippers. So from then on, I keep coming here every Saturday & Sunday to make up those lost times I fail to come. I miss being with the Lord in silence & solitude.
This has been my hiding place since 2015. I keep coming here at least once a month every Saturday after I have found about the Carmelite Monastery. I can stay here the whole day. I was able to join the nuns in their prayer at noon and sometimes before 6pm. There was a Christmas and New Year mass that I attended too. I really, really love this place
Love this place sooo much! Felt very peaceful the moment I enter. But it's the high staircase that made me feared most becoz I have serious osteoarthritis problems. So I have to take a cab whenever I come here for offering of prayers n special intentions. Wish there will be a ramp for those who have serious legs problems especially the elderly. Thank you so much, God bless from Cheryl Png from the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.
Beautiful simple and very peaceful. On a "hill" top not as easy to get to by public transport but is worth the effort if you are a Christian.
Serene place.
This is not only a monastery but also a Church linked to the Monastery! Hope we can edit it as Church and Monastery !

Beautiful and serene
The origins of the Carmelite Monastery can be traced to a group of ethnic monks who lived on Mount Carmel. Most of the nuns who live in the monastery cannot go out. Except for being sick. They pray and do other work for Catholic priests in Singapore.
