Reviews of Hock Lian Huat Prawn Cracker & Ngoh Hiang
Tasty late night snack, opens 24hrs! Surprised how tasty the beehoon and fried stuff were. The chili sauce also was a perfect complement. Will be back!! Craving for it already as I’m writing this review
Was told they paid 25k for rent . Food was okay except the cooking oil they use looks like diesel. Hope that I will not have sore throat 😅. Anyway $5.20 was the damaged. While eating saw a big 🐀 run across 😅
Note to self.
A popular stall at dinner time yet short wait only.
Pumpkin kueh is not bad.
Spring roll, cuttlefish youtiao, yam roll seems like standard factory product.
Beehoon no taste but springy.
$8.80 for 5 items and 1 beehoon
Still prefer Boon Lay's Xin Sheng stall.
Have been eating since young. However, have not eaten it for a long while. Not very sure if the morning and night bee hoon is the same… I came here for dinner. The dishes still taste the same as the ones i had donkey years ago. A little oily as they had already had them fried one round at the start, and another round when you order. Still crispy and good i must say, if you’re not health conscious. Bee Hoon seems to have dropped standard though, not as flavourful as last time.
Overall, still feels great to have this local food. And proud that they are still popular for supper in the west (i think the coffee shop is 24/7)!

Accessibility:
• Located near CCK MRT, less than 5 mins walk!
• Open car park next to the food center
• Auntie say ngoh hiang is available from 12pm to 1am!!! Supper spot in the west!
Food:
• HUGE range of ngoh hiang available for you to choose from
• Comes with their own premix sauce, which is something worth to take note of! Spicy + tangy + a lil sweet
• All the items we chosen taste especially good and not overly oily as well. Can tell the oil was fresh that day too.
Payment:
• Can be done by cash and e-payment
Other:
• Just take note the queue will get a bit long during peak periods. After ordering, a buzzer will be given to you.
Legit the Best Ngoh Hiang in CCK!😋🥢
Too spolit for choice from their wide array of ingredients off the shelves. So I randomly take and then wait for the stall to prepare the food.
Order a drink and chill while waiting as it gonna take a while till the buzzer sound.⏳
Happily taking my food and just seeing those smoke coming out from the perfectly deep fried stuff is making me drool.🤤
It may look kinda oily, but when eaten, it isn't that much oil you think it is. So crunchy and tasty.
Must Dip those deep fried food to their homemade sauce which has the right amount of sweetness, spiciness and savouriness and the addition of crush peanuts makes it even better.😍(Not enough sauce, can request for more)
Can't live without carbs? Get their bee hoon too.😅 Bee hoon more toward the dry side but the strong flavour in it is not to be joke around. Simple and tastisfying.😋
Price vary on what you pick. The above total costs $12.80 inclusive of bee hoon. I would say its quite affordable and filling too.
Delicious ngoh hiang with beehoon. Highly recommend the egg patties, spring rolls, tau kwa, Chinese sausages, ngoh hiang. Beehoon is delicious. Waiting time is pretty fast. Only place in choa chu kang to get ngoh hiang beehoon. One thing a few of the reviewers here don't understand is the tradition of ngoh hiang beehoon is the food items are pre-fried then refry again when you place your order. That's how it is! Don't complain about cold and refried.
A famous Ngoh Hiang Hae Piah outlet in the area, judging by the long Q during lunch hour. Lots of variety and what stands out is that many items are home made. Freshly fried before serving with a good dipping sauce.
Prawn cracker doesn't have prawns, and salty. Fish cake looks great, tastes okay. Bee Hoon nothing to shout about. Average.
Their towkwar was very good. Eat that first before it hardens. They fry that only when you order. Chili okay. I need to return to try their other items. It's a place that you need to go with one or 2 persons to try their wide variety.
Their Ordering service is screwed up. I won't bother explaining cos it's not consistent.
Go if you're nearby and have kaki to eat with. Don't travel just for this stall

Came here many times, yet was in the hurry having quick meal & moving on without leaving any comment.
These 五香饼are really need lots of preparation, and each of the item are hand made.
In the 70’s, my cousin family was operating 五香饼&fb fried Kway Teow foods stalls at Tengah Hawkers Center, early in the morning, the whole family member helping to do all the preparation from home, stalls start selling after lunch hour till late night, good business, yet very tiring.
Great food, we had the laksa from Seng Huat and a platter of ngoh hiang. Very tasty!!
24 hours, Food is great. But very packed and hot during peak hours. Been to the place many years, all stores are decent.
one of the few authentic local dishes still available in Singapore
Value for money. Good food and airy place.
Some not so common ingredient such as fried bean curb.
