Reviews of Hong Ji Mian Shi Jia
Quite a popular Wanton Noodle stall and decided to give this a try! It certainly didn’t disappoint and the noodles were springy and the chili packs a punch!
Standard dropping till not even worth 1 star. Use to be a better stall selling wonton noodles many years back. Soup not much unami taste now and the dumpling and wonton is pathetic. Just a bit filling and the skin is so thick. Just feel like eating wonton skin. Noodles still ok but the sauce is also pathetic. Tasteless with a bit of pork lard. Just see the queue and you will know standard is dropping and dropping. Last time need to queue at least 40 mins. Now there is no queue anymore and it says all. The younger generation have no passion in cooking.
I found a hidden gem! Child hood taste WANTON MEE! The stall run by a father & son, very humble, green chilli & chilli sauce home make! Is a die die must eat grade ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Noodles were springy yet easy to chew on. You don't get these noodles easy these days. It has those good old days taste to it. I would recommend to try if you are in the area!
Beware of long waiting time though (approx 15 mins).

I like kway teow with this as it soaks up the sauce mix. Wanton was pretty delicious , pretty good plate though ain’t out of the world that I be dreaming about for the weekend hawker run
Wanton mee is a relatively simple dish but very difficult to get it all right. This is one of the few and my favourite. Perfect chilli base and sweet black sauce, qq egg noodle, roasted char siew, savoury soup (ikan bilis stock) and meaty wantons. Hard to beat.
Wanton mee is really good but must have it before it gets cold (it’ll get a little soggy and lose its texture after a while).
They open on Sunday but queue is pretty long.
My favorite wanton mee in Singapore. Don’t go after 4 pm. The chef’s daughter takes over. Not the same.
Nice wan ton noodles. Love their sauae and noodle crunchy QQ texture. Love the free flow fried pork oil.
Traditional..very nice charcoal char siew (bbq pork), good noodle texture. Went in the evening 4pm, very delicious.
My all time favourite wanton mee in SG!!!
I've tried the noodle cooked by the father and now by the next generation (his daughter), equally delicious. You can add any amount of 猪油炸 and they taste really great!
Business is really good and the sold out time has been pushed forward from previously close to 3pm to now sometimes around 1pm.
I'm always there at least once a week on weekend. See you around!

Simply can't resist and I'm still here weekly without fail. The magical combi of the sauce and noodle and ingredients are just superb.

The brother took over today as the daughter was providing care to the mother :( Hopefullly she gets well soon!
The noodle cooked by the brother was not as delicious. Too much dark sauce and making the noodle salty. Lose the special flavor of the wanton mee.

Seems like the brother and his son are here to stay. Dropped the star by 1 as I find that the noodle lacks consistency. Sometimes taste good while other times might be too salty, too wet etc. Also, they replace the bag of 猪油炸 and only put limited amount in a bowl now. Sad~

Standard is somewhat back with more consistency, though the taste of the ingredients is slightly different from before. Nonetheless, I'm back to my weekly visit for wanton mee again! Good job.
One of the best wanton I've ever had! The noodles, wanton, sui gao and the chilli sauce combination of everything tastes so nostalgic! Highly recommended!.
My favorite stall for noodles! I love the thin, spring noodles that I can never seem to find anywhere else - ask for black sauce only without chilli. The char siew is dry and not great, but I would come back just for the noodles alone.
Nice wanton noodles here at good quality and Hawker price. Not exactly super affordable pricing as it cost 4.50 for big but these are the prices these days due to rising cost. I'll come again for this
Old school wanton mee that provides fried pork lard.. Noodle was nice and tangy.. Above average taste.. Hidden gem in Telok Blangah estate.. Long queue during peak period..
Generous dumplings at a cheap price point. Dumplings are filled with meat and prawns. Meat does not have the porky taste
This is your old school wanton noodles. The flavorsome sauce is the ingredient which combines the parts together
The noodle is great. The rest so so. Add noodle if you can.
Thick char siew and their dumplings soup has quite a rich taste
It's ok, a bit overated.
Nice noodles 👍🏼
