Reviews of Hui Wei 回味 Lor Mee & Prawn Noodle (Toa Payoh Central)
Craved for a bowl of dried prawn noodles n Google Maps took me here. It's obvious d lor mee tops d prawn noodles BUT there were regulars q-ing for d prawn noodles (not lor mee) hmm...
Ordered dried kuey teow. $4.50. chilli paste is on d sweeter side. Not too my liking. Sliced meat is braised... hence it tastes a little sweet too... prawns r good - fresh n deshelled leaving d tail bit only 👍🏼👍🏼 Top up $1.80 for 2 big slices of fried fish n they r v v crispy BUT interior of fried fish fritters is soft n "mushy". Bloated as d portion is big n d 2 pcs of fried fish r also v big. Aunty is v generous with d ingredients. Soap broth is good, flavourful n not salty.
Very favourful and good bowl of prawn noodles.
Always long Q and it actually thrashes the Old Name Bcm beside it, so that tells u alot isnt it
1 of my fav and recommended if you like Prawn Noodles.
Delicious prawn noodle soup with lots of ingredients for the large $5.50. Prawns are very fresh. Highly recommended.

Tasty Lor Mee which come with generous ingredients like fried fish, ngoh hiang, egg, sliced pork belly. Special mention of the fried fish, fish is well fried and coated with a layer of flavourful and crispy batter. Can add on condiments like vinegar, soya sauce, garlic, parsley, sambal chilli, cut chillies on your own. Fast service also. Will visit again when I'm around the area.
Worth the trip to try this.
Very yummy prawn noodles!
The soup is also very favourful. Added the fried fish as I can't decide btw Fried Fish Lor Mee and the Prawn Noodles. 😁
To know if a prawn noodle is good I usually try the soup 1st and wasn't disappointed. Will definately visit again.
They uses number call system so yoh can seat at your table till your number is called.
Nice prawn noodles and Lor mee at reasonable price. Generous amount of ingredients. Queue no system so no need to stand and wait for the order.
Portion is good. Value for money. They weight their ingredients. V professional.
Taste is good.
My favourite prawn noodles in Toa Payoh, better than the ones in Lor 8 and Lor 5 hawker centre.
Nice gravy with herbal taste. Lots of ingredients for small bowl ($4.5) will be great if the fish is served in smaller pieces for convenient consumption
Very decent prawn noodles at this pricing. Small portion has 3 prawns and a lot of meat slices. Will return to eat
Pretty yum the prawn noodle. Love how they used the fresh prawns and generous amount of lard bits .
Amazing chilli too
A bowl came with half a moderately braised hard boiled egg. Flat noodle was piping hot.
Braising liquid was a composition of Chinese herbs like star anise and cinnamon. Not overtly thick and gooey but a pleasant balance.
A mixture of vinegar, chili sambal and garlic is a catalyst
Ngoh hiong was packed with finely minced pork, chestnut bits and prawn(?). Well spiced and flavorful.
Thinly sliced lean pork provided a good chew and thus enhancing it's flavor, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Their signature deep fried fish was a winner. 2 slabs, probably dory, was coated with a shattering batter. A winner.
Friendly young couple running this stall.
One of the best lor mee in SG. Generous with the ingredient
Very delicious! Broth was thick and flavourful.
The prawn noodle is very nice. Very authentic.
Very good prawn mee, easily beat the BCM Mee beside your stall . Keep it up .
No thick beehoon. Tastes good.
Hidden gem. Both prawn mee n lorMee are nice 👍
Food is ok. Not much to shout at.
The waiting time should inform customers before
