Emperor's Rice Dumpling: chewy rice texture, alot of ingredients (ginko, scallop, salted egg WHOLE, Pork belly super soft tender fatty, kaoluk), rice is super fragrant, may be the best marinated ones Nonya Rice Dumpling: meat on sweeter side, really fragrant. Generous. Marinated meat well, one of the more fragrant one's i've ever eaten! Hokkien Rice Dumpling with Salted Egg Yolk: WHOLE salted egg yolk, pork belly (less fatty side), kaoluk, huge mushroom, combi of all the ingredients matched really well, generous with fillings! Hakka Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables Rice Dumpling: geneours amout of preserved veggies, fatty pork belly that rly suits the entire tone and texture of the rice dumpling! Pulut Hitam Nonya Rice Dumpling: impressed by the fragrant but not too overpowering taste of the pulut hitam flavour infused into the rice. Pork bits had a good mix of lean and fatty bits making it a flavour packed package! First time trying this flavour and really impressed me!

Joo Chiat Kim Choo has always been consistent in quality over the years, and their Memory Trove gift set wowed my family. We loved the elegant packaging! The Hokkien and Nyonya rice dumplings were delicious as expected and what my family deems the gold standard. Great filling to rice ratio, and well-seasoned too. The kueh salat was a pleasant surprise as we’ve never had Kim Choo’s version before. Custard had a strong pandan flavor and lovely mouthfeel, and the coconut in the rice really stood out! 👍

I’ve been meaning to try the kueh from Kim Choo and finally had the chance to recently! Really enjoyed the traditional fillings and new flavours they introduced. Generous with the filling and all elements worked well together Hakka pork: melt in your mouth pork and well seasoned rice even though we over steamed it Emperor: pork was well seasoned and the sausage was a nice twist

Tried the Joo Chiat Kim Choo rice dumpling the other day and 😍 it’s so good, the rice is very flavorful and it’s packed full of ingredients inside it. The meat inside was also very well cooked, it wasn’t tough or dry but still retained its juiciness. Tried the Hokkien rice dumpling with salted egg yolk and Emperor rice dumplings! Both which I highly recommend! 👍👍

A must have during the dumpling season! Especially love the Pulut Hitam Nonya Rice Dumpling - wrapped with Pandan leaves as it was super fragrant. The Pulut Hitam really makes such a difference in both the texture and overall taste. Also tried the Emperor’s Rice Dumpling which was stuffed with generous premium ingredients - the flavours really complimented each other and was a real treat to have. Would definitely try out the other flavours next time with the family.

Hokkien Rice Dumpling with Salted Yolk The glutinous rice is cooked just right, chewy yet not mushy. The fillings is generous with whole mushroom, whole chestnut, whole egg yolk and lean, chunky pieces of pork belly. A little oily but nevertheless a savoury delight! Nonya Rice Dumpling The rice is unmistakably fragrant from the infusion of pandan leaves. The whiff of pandan aroma with every mouthful is a wonderful combination. The sweet fillings (from the added winter melon strips) comprised mainly of minced pork flavourfully marinated.

Tried 5 different types of dumplings and all tasted exceptional! None of them were too sweet or salty and all tasted just nice. The one that stood out to me the most were the emperor’s dumpling. The pork fillings inside were so tasty and definitely filled my stomach! Would definitely recommend this to all ba zhang lovers.

Memory Trove Gift Set Nyonya Rice Dumpling: These were just a pleasant surprise! I remember trying these from a random stall ages ago, and found the taste to be so weird. But the Nyonya dumplings from ___ were just so good! There was a good ratio of minced meat to rice and the rice were cooked to perfection Hokkien Rice Dumpling wiht Salted Egg: Once I tried these, I was so shocked at how similar they were to my Grandmother's Homemade Dumplings. The taste of the dumpling and the marinade of the meat were just spot on to my taste! I have never had a dumpling apart from my grandmother's that I loved, and these will just tasted so much like hers! Kuey Salat: Once again, these tasted so much like my mom's homemade Kuey Salat! The rice layer was chewy and the top layer was silky, flavourful and sweet enough for my sweet tooth! Overall packaging was nothing short of impressive, and the taste of the food tasted so much like home

Ordered a range of their dumplings over the weekend. The dumplings came on time and were neatly packed and labelled so we knew what flavours they were. All of the dumplings were really delicious, and really liked the Hakka Pork Belly and Emperor’s Rice Dumpling flavours. Definitely generous with the ingredients. The Nonya and Pulut Hitam flavours were not something I was used to, but were pretty nice too!

This brand of rice dumplings needs no introduction - easily the best rice dumplings in Singapore! Always loved their nyonya zhangs as well as their bazhangs and was pleased to see that they do delivery now! The rice was still chewy and did not get hard when reheated in the microwave or steamed the next day and the amount of filling in each rice dumpling was also very generous. The meat was also well seasoned and was extremely tender. Definitely will recommended Kim Choo if anyone is craving for rice dumplings! :)

A great spin from the classics! Felt very excited as I took each bite because of the subtle difference to what we are used to having! Definitely enjoyed the generous portion of scallops in the emperor dumplings. Would get them again!

Ordered the Emperor’s Rice Dumpling and was delighted with the generous meat filling! Dumpling was still excellent even after delivery. I also loved the Hakka Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables (i think its an acquired taste). Pleasantly surprised by it! The Nonya dumpling was on the sweeter side so give it a try especially if you have a sweet tooth!

Got their memory trove set and was plesantly surprised by the ang ku kueh and the dumplings. The ang ku kueh had a good balance of sweetness and did not feel cloying at all. Dumplings were good as well! Would recommend to anyone who is interested in trying. 😀

Tried 2 different flavours, and all were so stuffed with generous amounts of liao (ingredients)!! The glutinous rice was well seasoned and each dumpling was shiok in a different way. The serving size is also not too big, which makes it a delicious meal/afternoon snack!

Very generous spread of ingredients in their signature Emperor’s Rice Dumpling. Every bite on the dumpling is wrapped with mouthful of well marinated ingredients over the flavorful rice. Even the traditional Hokkien Rice Dumpling hit the right note in my taste bud. Excellent!

not a big fan of dumplings as they’re usually not packed with ingredients and dry but after trying joo chiat kim choo’s my thoughts have changed! got 5 flavours to share with the family and so far we’re very pleased! favourites would be: emperor’s rice dumpling and pulut hitam nonya dumpling. as you can see in the pictures, both are stuffed generously with ingredients especially the emperor’s rice dumpling! can honestly tell where the name came from because this was definitely a very good treat. the pulut hitam nonya dumpling surprised me as I never knew this combo would work but it was extremely delightful! a good mix of sweet and savoury and it had a very good texture as well. definitely recommend joo chiat kim choo for its great variety of rice dumplings 👍🏽

My favourite would be the emperor dumpling - it had scallop, taiwan sausage, mushrooms, pork belly and chestnut, which tasted amazing! Very authentic ingredients, with both classics and modern flavours to choose from. If you have a chance, do check out Joo Chiat Kim Choo when you’re in the area!
