Wanted to get Soon Kueh (Turnip cake) but was left with one last Peng Kueh (glutinous rice cake wrapped in pink glutinous skin) so I decided to try it even though I normally don’t eat Peng Kueh. Skin was thicker than usual but the rice was oh so fragrant with mushroom and seasoned wonderfully really yummy on its own or traditionally with chili and black sauce. Hopefully will be able to try the Soon kueh and carrot cake soon!

Excellent white carrot cake. Very old style with enough char. Generous portion for the price of $3. Price was reasonable at $2.5, $3 and $3.5.
