Reviews of My Father’s Minced Meat Noodles
The noodles portion was really generous. It would be great if it was a little more savoury.
Nice Bak Cho Mee, worth to give it a try. The noodles was well cooked. I prefer the soup than the dry version. Wanton was nicely wrap and well cook, skin not soggy 👍. Service was great also, very friend and fast. As code drivers, there is a multi story car park with sufficient lots.
I would come here just to buy the dumplings because they sell 30 at $10 and their dumplings are really good. Tasty and big!
The noodle texture is good too but the soup isn't that great. Pretty bland for a noodle soup dish and not that fragrant.
Also because of the construction going on, the space is very limited, max 2 per table. And the place isn't very clean, while I was eating there was a housefly around the table all the time so it might be more enjoyable to tabao the food home to eat.
It’s hard to get nice minced meat noodles nowadays and at the price of $4.50, I must say this is a stall that you would like to try. Noodles are really soft and a bowl of noodles comes with meatballs and meat dumplings. Definitely will return for more in future!
Great bar chor mee!
This is my first time trying soup bcm, and it was really tasty and unique. It’s family owned, so support young local hawkers!
The noodles come in dry or soup, in 3 different sizes.
Still super tasty. Chewy noodles, thicker than the usual mee Kia noodles, chilli is also better, we always ask for more chilli. The minced meat given is bigger, wanton is handmade by the stall owners, generous with their wanton and meatball. Still our favourite for dry minced meat noodles for $4.50. 👍👍👍👍
Noodle texture is nice. Soup is bland enough for people who needs a less salty soup. More sauce required for dry version. Will return to eat again.
Very average neighbourhood food. Its good due to the low price. Dumpling meat is standard hawker size, very small
I really wanted to like this cos I travelled all the way for it. In terms of things they did well, I would say service was friendly, price is reasonable. Noodle texture was al dente (just right) and minced pork was tender and clean. unfortunately it fell short in many ways: soup had virtually no flavour, it's like drinking fried garlic oil with hot water. Minced pork was scant. The entire dining environment was also very very dirty with a lot of birds and non stop bird droppings from the ceiling, unsure when one will unfortunately fall on you or your food...
Noodle is good, wanton is great. Good value for money
Dabaoed today, had it at the stall a few weeks back. Good, value for money. Try the soup version. It packs a punch.
Even when dabaoed back, throw it in the soup and it’s not lumpy.
Will be back again.
Yummy minced meat noodle, I personally like the soup one more than dry one 👍🏻
Hi long time BCM....ate since i think 1990. Have always wondered seen two of you guys around since my days at seletar camp. Years past ....all grown up. Old liaoz 😅🤣
Personal favorite is mee kia dry with chilli, packs a punch, soup version is lighter but still flavorful, so best of both worlds when you get the dry one since it comes with a separate bowl of soup for dine in.
One of the best bak chor mee (minced meat pork noodle). I personally feel this is more tastier than bedok 85 popular BCM. For soup base is only at $4.00, for dry base is $4.50. It’s all worth the price. The wanton (dumpling) is well marinated, soup is super tasty. Not oily. Pork lard is crunchy and best match for this BCM. They serve super fast and still got long queue at times. Definitely making myself a regular customer there.
reasonable pricing, boss are nice well, cook well, very tasty mee 😋
Coffeeshop needs to be revamped like other surrounding coffeeshop. Outdoor tables slanting, making soup and drinks spillover...which is unfair for this minced meat noodles...atmosphere need improvement. Noodle soup is satisfactory, but the dumplings are a bit hard.
Its not bad! The wanton is good but the soup taste can be improve.
Both father and son worked together seamlessly to clear the queue. They were very friendly when my German friend and I patronized the stall. My German friend ordered Mee Pok with Extra Chilli and Extra Vinegar, and they were very accommodating to our request. My German friend gave it a full 5-star rating for the overall dish, he said it was just as good (if not better) than the stall (now closed) he used to eat. He'll definitely be back for more.
What I especially enjoyed most was the soup loaded with minced and sliced pork and pork balls. I told my sister and she immediately mentioned the stall that is not stingy with quality and insisted on using only pork and not cheap fish cake like most places selling BCM. She has been buying take-aways for her family and she was glad I brought my German friend to eat at this stall.
Thanks so much for the wonderful experience and for making Singapore proud of our BCM.
This stall is now managed by the 4th generation. Lady boss told me "hunched-back uncle" is her great grandfather, the pioneer of this authentic traditional minced-pork-noodles(bak chor mee). Soup base still acceptable. Dumplings succulent. Located at Tampines Street 42, Block 477, inside the coffee shop.
Ever since we moved in the area in 2015, this has been a staple. Uncle White (because he only ever wears a plain white shirt) would serve up generous amounts of noodles, dumpling and meatballs. Excellent price for the volume of food. The taste is above average for hawker fare - meaning its very good. And if you are a fan of lard - uh huh.
Super underrated soup bar chor mee in this neighbourhood coffee shop! Standard and taste does not lose to the famous Bedok 85 ones. Consistency has been the same all these years I've eaten it and even after the young son takes over in the afternoon and evening! Love that they are open all day, so cravings can be satisfied at any time! They are also on food delivery platforms but nothing beats it piping hot with al dente noodles in front of you. Definitely recommend everyone to come and try! 🏆😋
A decent bowl of Bak Chor Mee (BCM). considered price worthy, the broth is more bland compared to other BCM stalls (healthier if you want to convince yourself), personally feel could have been more flavorful if more minced meat are used to cook it. The meatball and wanton is average. As i have eaten it since young, i would say the standard of the dish have drop standard compared to the father's time (20 years ago). If you live nearby, i would say you can still go for it as there isn't any other soup based minced meat noodle stall around the area but wouldn't recommend travelling all the way around Singapore to have it as there is definitely better options.
The best soup Bah Chor Mee in Singapore. I have been eating this since at the age of 20+ years old in Tampines. After more than 20+ years, it still taste the same. Delicious and traditional, awesome noodle. The owner Ah Guan is super friendly and his son has taken over the business. Thumbs up and highly recommemded. 😇😇😇
I rarely give review and this guy deserves more than an 4 man.
Not giving 5 only cause the coffee shop issue not shop issue.
5 years ago i eat the noodle, never went back.
Today i eat. Good gracious. It rocks my world.
It is really damm nice now.
So nice until i wanna walk back order 2nd bowl liao.
Okay la i type finish i really think can give 5.
Came at a time when the queue was long... felt that the noodles were rushed... still quite hard. The noodles might be better with a little more time in the boiling water. The soup is TOO FLAVOURFUL(spell salty). Overall could have gotten 2 stars if not for the fact that I had tasted them when the noodles were more well done.
Saw the young cheerful chef whip up in double quick time my $4 bowl of bar chor mee (mine was mee pok, all the 3 wonton and 3 meatballs made from fresh ingredients). Really home cooked flavour, maybe like my mother's, not father's taste.
Value for money!
Really good bah chor mee. Noodles are good, prices not too ex also. Worth it
Old school noodles. Not bad.
Tried both soup n dry version. Ok.
Fantastic soup base! Always taste like home when I eat here! Will definitely recommend people to frequent this place! :) the chef is cute too hehe
Located at Beach Road Food Centre. The chilly is very spicy. You can add extra ingredients if you like.
Tasted genuine but ingredients are less.
Very good bak chor mee, I might be bias as I lives nearby. I have been eating this noodle for a couple of decades. I believe this noodle is as good as any of the top brands in SG. Do give it a try. Enjoy. 😊
Al dente noodles and wanton. Good effort Ah di. Mom is v friendly too.
Have been eating this since I'm a child, it's a must have for soup bak chor Mee lovers!
Overall not bad. I think they can improve further on the flavor of the soup.
Tried this bcm. Not bad but a bit more mince meat and some pork lard will be better
One of the best bcm as compared to bedok 85. Strongly recommended!
Friendly lady boss, food is good too.
IMHO, better than those BCM at Bedok 85 market!
simpler, plain and delicious
👍
Great Soup!! Really love the noodles there!!
Nice soup and meat ball.
Valued and good meal.
👍
yes good health food
One of the best BCM
SOLID.
Very delicious pork belly noodles! There are many ingredients, including wontons, meatballs, and minced meat. Located in Tiantianlai Coffee Shop.
One of the best Minced Meat Noodle. Indeed a hidden gem tuck away at old school kopitiam (Everyday Come Coffee Shop).
Order the $5.00 bowl. Sumptuous indeed.
I will be back again.
