Though it comes $9 per bowl, the serving of condiments is generous. But the Mee Pok is a bit "under cooked" for me and too much vinegar to my taste. Challenge is making the orders with the lady... a lot of patience is much needed, be prepared to repeat the orders repeatedly... Guess there is still obvious distance from the better know 大华...

The coffee shop where the stall is located is renovated, clean and no offensive smells from the 4 corners. Tried this Tai Wah Pork Noodle on a weekday morning. Not crowded at all. The staff was well mannered. The lead-in price was S$5.00. But the chilli sauce, black vinegar, and the dried sole fish, are so different from its original version. It also lacks the original Teochew final touch. Gastronomes definitely need to go back to Crawford Lane to get their fix, and not randomly eat at any stalls that display the words "Tai Wah Pork Noodle" with the yellow signboard. Too many differences between “Tai Wah” and “Tai Hwa”.

Happy to see Tai Wah noodles opening a new outlet near me! Ordered for take-away twice and noodles were pretty decent. The mix of chili and vinegar is damn power, you can taste the Sole Fish (“Tee Poh”) in the soup and they add fried Sole Fish pieces in the noodles as well. My only gripe is that the Pork Liver can be sliced thinner and cooked better, other than that it’s all good. Be prepared to wait for a while as the queue is always there.
