Reviews of TreeTop Walk
A beautiful walk/hike trail, a must see for lovers of nature, forrests and the quiet. But be prepared, it isn't a walk in the park but certainly worthwhile. We took the SMRT to Station TE8, Upper Thomson. The trail starts at Windsor Park and the first km is easy with nice boardwalks. After that it is a different cattle of fish (check the photos).Lots of steps, around 250 up and 200 down (I lost count a bit) and height differences. Make sure you walk the trail to the Treetop Suspension Bridge, starting at the Rangerstation counter clockwise as it is a one way only. There is a guard at the start of the bridge and at the other side is a gate / door that can only be opened from one side as you leave the bridge. But as mentioned earlier all very much worthwhile. Beautiful experience to walk above the canopy of the forrest
A very nice place for relaxing.
2nd time trip. I tried a different walkway and saw a lot of nice things.
I highly recommend it for people looking for outdoor activities.
free, and 10/10 recommend! so beautiful. saw some monitor lizards and turtles!! the bridges were beautiful, even in the rain. i’d recommend making sure weather is clear though, we did need to wait for permitting weather conditions. staff was so friendly and happy, had all trail options for what you need/prefer.
The thing I wanted to do this time was to go hiking at this place. The nature was beautiful, and you could find little monkeys and their families there. It’s okay to go alone, but everything is definitely better when you go with someone special
Amazing experiences for the first time I visited Tree Top Walk. I would like to come again soon.
Does anyone like to hike 🚶♀️ I recommended Windsor Nature Park are the right places for walk or hike.
I believe that this place is amazing experience for people who love nature and outdoor activities.
This trail takes you from Windsor Nature Park to
TreeTop Walk, a 250m-long freestanding suspension. From the bridge, you may delight in a bird’s eye view of the forest canopy and spot different wildlife in their natural habitat. You can also enjoy views of the greenery
Love It🥰
We did the long walk (2h) to cross the park and we stop by the bridge. Great view but if you just go for the bridge take note that's only about 100m long and some parts of the parc dont have walkway and can be really muddy. If you dont mind that, really beautiful scenery and ambiance.
Treetop Walk offers a great terrain for one to train or improve staminar, and the breathtaking view of nature one sees crossing the bridge makes the journey worth it. Indeed a 9.25/10 experience.
A one way 250 meter path that passes over/on the level of Singapore’s central water catchment rainforest area.
The views are great, as you are able to see the trees below you and on your level (as the bridge is over 100 meters above the ground), some things include giant plumerias, a drainage basin in the distance.
It is possible to see some tropical birds, butterflies and rarely snakes, but we did not see any this time.
Good place for weekend and family outing. Trails are normally long for at least 1 to 3 hours. Tree top walking is in good condition, safe and good views.
Nice and love it... Good place for those who love hike and nature... Fresh air and short escape from hectic life... There's plenty of routes to choose... Please be careful with monkeys...
Out of the woods and… wow, you’re up in the treetops! Beautiful suspension bridge that connects to 2 hilltops. With great views across the forest
Do note that you have to hike up a steep incline to get to the entrance and that it’s one way only
It's so accessible and easy to find, ample parking space. Love the walk, be prepared for some steep terrains and flights of stairs. Well sheltered by the trees from the sun, bring enough water. It's nature thus don't talk too loud, careful with the monkeys. Don't feed them! After 45 minutes of trekking based on the clear signages, you will reach the bridge. Breathtaking view and fresh air.
Beautiful and exciting hiking trip through a tropical rainforest in the middle of Singapore. The Tree Top Walk is the highlight, but also the monkeys are quite entertaining.
This is an awesome hike and you get to walk on a beautiful draw bridge above trees on top of a rainforest. The complete hike takes 4-5 hours. It can rain all of sudden making the hike tough so be prepared. Also if there is lightning risk they would close the bridge walk at moments notice. So be prepared. We were fortunate that the rain cleared up soon.
The hike there was challenging and rewarding, but it's not definitely for everyone. The track is thought. Always wet and slippery.
Track differs in soil and rocks. Sometimes it's fine thin grains and solid. And sometimes it's muddy, wet and with clay bricks.
Hill at most part is around 8-10 degree slope but 45 stairs like is present as well.
The bridge have not the view I have expected, but it was good touch to the peak point of the journey.
Take full hiking shoes and don't forget about 1liter of water for everyone for the trip as it might take around 5 hours for elderly and around 3 hours slow march. There is a lot of runners going though that course so it's possible but take partner with you as injury is very possible.
Really one of my favourite spots in Singapore for wildlife and nature. It's a one-way walk so there is no way back once you step on the bridge. Really recommended.
The place is usually crowded during the weekend.bring water bottle.
This actual bridge itself isn't partcularly spectacular, nor are the views from it staggering, but the hike there and back with this in the middle do make it a five star few hours of time. May see some monkeys and lizards too. Cartainly a lot of rainforest. Humid as hell. I came back along the reservior route. Both ends needed another 1 km walk to metro stations which are convenient. A beautiful nature reserve.
Its been awhile since I crossed this bridge, 10? 11 years?
Its quite well maintained and there is a staff pacing the number of ppl crossing it.
Give a short 2.5km walk in from venus.
The main reason of my 10km walk. Personally I am surprised that Singapore has this kind of environment (given the modern city label). Was well worth it.
Things co consider :
1. Bring your friends
2. Bring sunscreen
3. Towel for sweat
4. Bottled water of course
5. Binoculars (optional)
6. Hat
Enjoy! (My Singaporean friends in Singapore have yet aware of this place. Lol. I am planning to take them here sooner or later. Acting as a guide).
Nice hiking place a bit crowdy during weekends so go for early walk. The tree top walk is awesome and offers very nice views.
Great experience for trekking, walked around 8 km from Venus Drive to TreeTop Walk, around 3 hours back and forth. Got to venus drive via taxi which costed around 5 singapore dollars. The route was not too difficult but it was very long lol by the way, better prepare some food and water since there wasn’t any shops or vending machine there.
Great experience! Views are great, and monkeys are fun to see. Be prepared for a 2 or more hour walking adventure. It's a several kilometer round trio across the bridge. Free, except you probably need a car/rideshare to get there.
Be careful to note about closing time (closes at 5pm). Plan your trip well so you won't reach too late, or the gate would be locked. Toilets and water coolers are nearby. Not crowded during the weekdays. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs on the exit. Great views but not a good place to observe the sunset since it closes so early.
Lots of monkeys! So beautiful just make sure to bring water and NO plastic bags or else the monkeys will attack!
Excelent place for walk and run.
Even in crowdy Sunday there lots opportunities to meat monkeys and other animals. Remember to take lots of water and proper shoes because road is mostly done from small stones, rocks.
Most way is in Forest so do not scare of sun.
Many lovely views you will enjoy it.
Awesome! Go on a weekday when not as crowded. Good to spend a half day walking all the various trails.
Super nice trail to escape the city. Would definitely do it again😊
Enjoyable place to go and get away from your hectic day to day lives. Take plenty of water and be careful of the little monkeys as they can be aggressive little cus. I dont know if they'd actually attack you but seeing the little sh!t running towards you hands up and teeth out can be intimidating. Felt like belting him over the head but didn't know if that would fire him up more so i walked back, and kept walking back and back a little more. Eventually he stopped. Oh yeah, its free and the tree top walk is closed on Mondays.
Nice look. There is really a mesmerising view at the top. You can have a three-sixty view of the entire forest and you could see buildings far away from you. There are usually monkeys there so when you visit there, be sure not to take out any food or drinks, even mineral water, as the monkeys might snatch it away. Also be sure to guard your phone when taking photos. A good spot to hike with your loved ones and an outing with your friends!
Niche 12km hike through the jungle in the center of the city. Pretty overcrowded on weekends but still a good idea to walk.
Just beware of the monkeys they steal everything what will look like food.
3.5 out of 5. Trail is good. Saw a lot of monkeys roaming around. Best time to visit is early morning or very late afternoon, to avoid heat. It's a very small tree top walk.
Very beautiful long walk, with a perfekt nature view from the bridge. On the walk you can possibly see monkeys, wild boars and many many more animal's. It's a walk for the hole family. Don't forget to take enough to drink with you.
Would prefer if there are more artificial huts for you to take cover in case of rain as I was drenched and had to take cover under the trees...
THE VIEW WAS IMMACULATE THO.
TreeTop walk is only short bridge at the beginning. The rest of walk is normal trail on the ground. I expected more, but still nice walk in a nature.
Very nice walk but not so easy if you're not accustom to Singapore heat. My second time was much more enjoyable. Monkeys are fun to watch, but don't watch to closely and don't feed them. Suspension bridge is one way so it's about a 5km loop back to Venus Drive parking lot.
Superb place to get away from the city. We were lucky to be able to spot 2 water monitor lizards and 3 wild boars. The place was so tranquil I could hardly believe I was in Singapore. The park is clean and well maintained.
Nice place for hiking, but be careful with monkeys, they will follow you if they see you have food.
Easy hiking trail. Nice very from the tree tops but must really beware of the monkeys. Have faced very close encounter will one monkey and the money even nicked one of our bottles. Spot a few animals on the trail - monkeys, a snake, monitor lizard, squirrel
Cool place! Nice for a long walk in a comfortable jungles. Take water with you! And do not forget to eat before ;)
Great view from tree top walk. Open from Tuesday to Sunday (except Monday is public holiday). Starting point from Macritchie reservoir parking lot to treetop walk is about 2 & half hours with fast walking pace. If start from Venus parking lot will cut short for 4km.
Just a really really great hike for nature. The whole trail takes about probably 2hours. All will have to walk through a really rocky and muddy path before reaching the suspended walking bridge. Though the route is rather tough (esp for those don't workout), the satisfaction when reaching the tree top walk is limitless. Look at the lush greenery and blue sky, undisturbed serenity... I'll recommend to go during the weekdays as it will be less crowded. Oh yes, be also prepared to have some encounter with butterflies, monkeys and some wildlife :)
It is a nice walk to take. Go early in the morning because it is not so hot. Enough toilets along the way
Wonderful experience. It's good experience if you like hiking and lot of steps.
This place now open to public already but crowded in weekend very nice view for who loves nature.
closed before 5pm. So in order to visit it, you need to start at least 2hours earlier say, 3pm. Great view. Plus there is an aggressive monkey sitting at the entrance. The only he fears must be the officer in the cabin. hahahah
Well worth the trek, fantastic views. However, you might want to avoid if you're afraid of heights and definitely if you struggle walking up and down steps, there are lots.
Such a great place to go! Very relaxing, emerged in the nature. The park is well maintained. Love it!
It's of course a heavenly place in Singapore. Your can indulge to the nature without much disturbances. The view and feel from tree top walk is something that can't be explained with words.
But, very important, never try this destination if walking and hiking for around 10km is not your cup of tea. You won't be able to get out as easy as you think. I literally felt exhausted.
Only for the energetic monkeys.
Out of city life. Good for hiking, trial walk. It may take one to two hours to reach tree top. Remember to bring own water.
It could get pretty crowded during the weekends. Please expect people to stop and take photos on the bridge , so take your time and enjoy the view (unless you are afraid of heights then maybe find a time that is less crowded and so you could walk thru there swiftly).
It's a great hike to treetop, trail is a mix if planked and muddy terrain wear some comfortable shoes as there is a lot to walk. The trail begins from Windsor nature park entrance. If you taking a grab or taxi the location that GPS shows is of HSBC treetop walk is inside a private property hence use the drop off as Windsor Nature park
Takes some time to reach. Following the loop route took 2h in total. Honestly the scenery from the top isn't that nice, but at least there are other things to look at ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It's a 5km hike up from Mac Ritchie Reservoirs park and 5km for the way down. Quite a great place to immerse yourselves in the nature in the bustling Singapore city. Beware of the Monkeys which will snatch your foods or bags at the treetop walk as well.
Wonderful view of the trees. Very cool bridge.
Very beautiful place, if you like hiking this is the place, you can connect with nature, took us around 2 hours walking with leisure.
Easy walk because this place have clear way.
Far from start point.
One way walk way. Far 12 km.
Hight bridge and have movement.
I felt little scare.
I prefer go to Tree Top Walk in weekend.
A very good workout starting from Windsor Nature Park Car Park and make a round trip to Tree-top Walk and back. Completed a distance of approximately 7km.
The nice thing about it is it's free. And it really shows you the view above the trees, so, serves its purpose. Great.
Amazing walk. Well maintained. Towards the tree top bridge, the trail is one way.
Best experienced with good company and sunny weather (no you don't want it to rain the slightest bit trust me). Otherwise it was a fun trail up the forest :)
Nice view. Good facilities. Very well maintain. Good job.
Make sure no inconsiderate noisy people following you. A long walk/hike. Make sure drink a lot of water.
A lot of monkeys, nice to watch or take photos, but do not feed or even go very near them. Can be very aggressive.
Great scenery from the bridge, although it might feel a little short. Be prepared to walk quite a fare bit after the bridge, and it is one-way, so there is no turning back. Good if u want to exercise with good scenery and fresh air.
You can get there in just 30 minutes by bus from the city center and with 2 connections!
We were able to hike through a beautiful rainforest and see wild monkeys and monitor lizards!
I would love to go up to this area.
Because I love the scent of greenery
Hiking helps me relax more
Comfortable
Peaceful
The mind is quiet
Just take time for your body and mind
The whole view of trees is green 💖
And also want to achieve ✅ every climb
We had a great hike. The absolute highlight was of course the Tree Top Walk. Even if it's not very long, the path is still worth it!
The hike took about 2 hours for us and not 3-4 hours as stated. We are not trained and didn't find the route very difficult. In some places there are a lot of stairs, but you can always take breaks and sit on a bench.
We saw many animals such as squirrels, monkeys and also iguanas. Take care of your things, a monkey tried to steal my backpack. However, the monkeys are generally peaceful.
Bring enough to drink with you, but you can also refill bottles at the Ranger House.
Beautiful walk through the trees. The circuit is free and takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. There are different fires
Great activity, a great change from Singapore and free! We particularly liked that we could see lots of monkeys 😊
We were here on a Sunday in the early afternoon and there were really few people there at the same time as us. So great 👍🏻
However, you should note that from the parking lot (where you are dropped off by taxi) you still walk 2.5km to the TreeTop Walk with lots of hills and stairs. So you should plan around 3 hours on site and possibly take some food with you, as you can only get water on site.
Free - top viewing point
A monkey sat to greet us
At the end you go down 300 steps
Closed on Monday
Beautiful green everywhere, the various paths are well described, there are regular signs on the paths, the individual routes are marked with colors. We were also able to observe monkeys. Highly recommended.
This is the best trekking course. When you come to MacRitchie Lake, you must come here to trek more than 10 kilometers, and it is a symbolic place where you can certify that you have explored it properly. It is a narrow swing bridge, and since it is a single road, only one-way traffic is possible.
Year 2023, have been here 2 times already. The distance is 13 km. It takes about 3 hours to walk. The walk is not difficult at all. The weather is good. I will come again. P.S. When I went to walk, I only had time to stay in Singapore for 1 week at a time.
The tree top walk that I had been dreaming about finally took place. Entering from MacRitchie, we walked ten kilometers in two hours. Sweat flowed freely, soaking the whole body. Just like this feeling.
The treetop is not amazing at all, not tall enough or long enough. There should be more fun places than this in China.
However, my colleague chose a good road. There were trees blocking out the sun along the way, so we didn’t get any sunlight at all.
A very beautiful nature park, almost natural, except for the paths you can observe monkeys 🐒, monitor lizards, snakes, butterflies, provided you stay a little quiet.
The actual TreeTopWalk, the highlight of the circular route, is a suspension bridge that spans a valley at the level of the treetops and crowns the march with a beautiful panoramic view
Getting a mix of both Wildlife and Nature over a fun morning Hike.
