Reviews of Xiang Kee Lor Mee
Actually I wanted to try the braised pork rice from this stall but it was sold out when I arrived at 12.30pm!! So I go for the Lor Mee instead and it was surprisingly very very good! Gravy was thick and gooey at the beginning but it became diluted after I gave it a good mix with the minced garlic and black vinegar! It was fragrant, super tasty super addictive and I almost finish all the gravy!! Also came with some sliced fishcake, pork belly meat, and a Ngoh Hiang ball. Yum! Will try to visit earlier in future to try their braised pork rice!
First time trying and went ahead to try the Braised Meat Pork Rice 卤肉饭. Not bad. $5 + $0.30 takeaway. As I told uncle I don’t want the preserved veg, he gave me 1 pcs of seafood ball? 😅 gonna try their noodles the next time round.
✅ can try.
Had the Lor Mee, medium sized. Gravy was alright. Portion of noodles was generous, ingredients ok too and happy to find shredded fish meat. It was prolly late (6ish pm) and uncle have ran out of garlic and chilli, otherwise wouldve uplifted the dish. Decent bowl of Lor Mee nonetheless.
The Lor Mee is definitely lighter in both starchy and 卤味.
Ingredients consisted of about a soon-full of fish, fish cake, half an egg, braised meat & 1 uncut Ngoh Hiang.
Added $2 for the pork ribs, personally feel on the higher side.
Not a big lor mee fan but this stall is an exception. Have pretty much tried everything in the menu from lor mee to prawn noodles to their Penang prawn noodles lor mix (yuan yang) and happy with all so far (yet to try the braised pork rice though). Uncle mans the store alone from 6am to 2pm; not much of a talker but he is pleasant when he tries.
😃👍The place with the best 🍜 Xian kee Lor Mee🍜
