Reviews of 兴兴咖啡 Heng Heng Coffee Stall
Visited the stall in Sunday morning. Very long queue but the ordering process was smooth and waiting time was reasonable. Love the kaya paste which was not too sweet and quite different from the normal one we usually have in other places. The UFO bun was also nice.
Go-to breakfast place with my parents on the weekend! There will always be a queue but moves decently fast. The corn(?) bun is unique and taste great with kaya butter. Coffee is good too.
Came here on a Sunday morning and from where I was sitting, I was finding the right time to get coffee from this place when the queue shortens, but the line just kept getting longer the more I waited. 🙃
True enough, it was really pretty worth queuing. I didn't wait for long, in fact. About 10 minutes with 6 people in front of me.
☕️ We ordered our typical Kopi C Siew Dai set, and the coffee was really good! The coffee fragrance is prominent, and with every sip, the light evaporated milk rounds the flavour of caramel-like and roasted coffee.
I rate: 4.5/5 🌟
🥚 Soft Boiled Eggs were surprisingly good as well. I liked that the staff cracked the eggs for us instead of the usual hot water in the container for us to self time. The eggs were huge, fresh, and cooked to perfection!
I rate: 5/5 🌟
🍞 Kaya Toast was pretty good too! I like how it's lightly toasted, and the bread itself is quite different from the usual hainanese loaf toast or white bread.
It's fluffy and slightly thicker. The kaya is really green, which carries a light pandan fragrance. I didn't appreciate how the ratio of kaya to butter is quite off, leaving me to eat wades of butter and thinly spread kaya on thick bread.
I rate: 3.5/5 🌟
Average bun and average drinks at good pricing though. The toast could have been more toasted, and the tea could have more fragrance instead of just having being more "xiap" due to it being over brewed. Would still recommend it though.
Kaya toast is quite average but their kaya jam is fragrant and has a grainy texture. Their bun is quite good though and I preferred it over the normal toast.
Today had Roti and Coffee Black kosong from here! The bread texture really bring me back to old times! Super shiok! The kopi is well made and flavourful ! Highly recommended
See the kopi cup after drinking you know how good the coffee is! Shiok ah!
Served your coffee and 太空包($1.60)super fast. Appreciate the young man worked with his old parents in a team. Hope traditional business like this can be carried on for many years to come.
Must get their ice lemon tea. Every cup is hand shaken and lemon is freshly squeezed!
Overrated in spite of the rave reviews on social media (really makes you question the credibility of Singaporean taste). People seem to laud the kaya, which was tasteless, joyless and a disconcerting booger-green colour. The only redeeming factors were the thick slabs of butter, and the fact that they serve the eggs cracked for you.
Must try kaya toast and kaya bun. Very generous with their homemade kaya and butter. Great tea and coffee. Homemade barley is good too and not sweet.
Aim to try their homemade ice lemon tea next, not using cordial or premix. Best part is, its shaken in a cocktail shaker like a martini. Comes out with a frothy head like beer.
Teh siu dai ($1.10) was OK. Friendly sellers, clean stall and accepts e-payment.
Kopi and teh is thick and fragrant. Toast serve is crispy with homemade kaya and generous servings of butter.
The best kopi stall in bukit merah view food centre and market. Go for their kaya butter toast with kopi to complete your set!
Great coffee and great teh! Great price too.
Must get there early for the space buns before they sold out! Queue start to form at around 9am so hurry!
Fantastic toast n eggs. Slurped down with a hot cup of kopi o. Brilliant
Half boiled eggs cooked perfectly. 😍
