Reviews of Al Amaan Restaurant
Great food, great price! Very. Fast service during lunch hour as well!
First thing to say is that Al Amaan has plenty of staff and don’t seem overloaded with online orders. Was good to see that there are places out west where the customer is valued. The mutton biriyani was decent and good value at 9sg. Shame fish curry had sold out though and tima masala looked like it had gone through some radiation therapy. All in all good value and would probably come back
Food is alright just on the salty side. Average service and atmosphere. Price seems to have gone up quite a bit.
Good for night supper as they open till the wee hours.
Very nice curry dishes and brasmati rice. The fish curry and lamb curry was not spicy while able to bring out the fragrance of the curry spices. Mango Lassi was good too. Price is average. The restaurant is clean and able to pay with Nets. Service was good and was fast. Parking is a problem. Need to park some 100m away and walk. Even that open carpark is not very big.
Located along Clementi Road, Al Amaan food are reasonably priced and the food are served pretty quickly. It is one of the favourite supper spot for students nearby since it is opened till 3am. And if you are lazy to go to the restaurant directly, you can order it through their direct delivery line or via Foodpanda.
Very sumptuous and delicious food available at this location near west coast park. Strongly recommend this place for lunch and dinner as their desserts and noodles are very good. Not so sure about the hygiene as tomorrow is yet to arrive yet. Food court price. Price range- $5 to $10. NEA hygiene rating is a B so take a bit of risk hehe.
Ordered chicken briyani and teh tarik. The portion is a lot and the service is relatively fast. Definitely value for money.
2nd time here in 2 weeks. Could never get parking and just skipped this stretch but glad we went there by chance. The Vege biryani is great and the Mrs thinks the Nasi Pattaya is good 👌🏽
Ordered T71 and Pattaya kway Teow
T71 is a bomb! Really super nice! Their sambal chilli (the chilli on the cucumber) is super nice but spicy! Add more if you’re up for the challenge! Fell in love with it since Y1! 8/10 :) would love to dine in again! I ordered the Thai style fried rice!
Pattaya kway Teow is great too! Can consider if you don’t want T71
My favorite place when I'm in the area. I found this place unexpectedly when I first took class in NUS. This was the only place open till late at night. Everything is good in here. I usually ordered Chicken Tikka, Butter Chicken with plain Naan. They are delicious! Their fried rice is good too. Try the ice kacang for dessert :))
This is one of my favourite supper spots since I was a student in NUS plus they close really late. The soft and fluffly and warm naan and creamy and tasty butter chicken is excellent and simply heavenly. Another must order and recommendation from a friend is the kadai chicken - it has a little spicy kick and complements the naan really well too
A very nice place beside NUS. You can enjoy different halah food here. Recommend the mutton here.
Good food. Just remember that Indian food served here does not taste like the food in India. The food here is bland in comparison to the authentic Indian food so that it suits the Singaporeans as well.
Great menu....great price...worth the trip..from local delights to western menu..from north indian tandoori ..prata..naan...its a food haven.
Curries were delicious! The naan seemed very powdery. Not the usual naan. Value for money though
Having Chicken Biryani with mutton dhal, paired with a cup of Teh Tarik—simply delicious! This year, I also had Chicken Fried Rice, and it was really good.
The maggie mee goreng was amazing. The chicken tikka was a large plate and it was perfect.. juicy and tasty...
Superb mutton/ prawn briyani. Staffs are friendly. Clean. Positive vibes.
The pineapple fried rice is so realistic😂
Its mango lassi is good.
Always crowded but a nice go to place for Supper if you’re schooling nearby.
I personally love their butter chicken masala and naan.
Their Cino drinks r nice too!
Best of all, the staff are all friendly and helpful! Recommend!!
I like their butter chicken and biryani rice. Naans are a bit small but tasty. Good price and good taste 👌.
Paid 9$ for Palak Paneer that tasted like tofu minus the cheese.
But the butter chicken was amazing
Owner is very friendly, and the chicken biryani is delicious
It's a good spot to get a quick bite after a long day. Good variety is available and is fulfilling. Quality is not very high, but it is definitely value for money.
Love eating here with my wife... the staff are super nice
Good place for supper. I always get their butter chicken butter naan and Oreo milkshake. Price has gone up quite a bit over the years tho
Food was great, price too high.
An excellent Malaysian- Indian food place conveniently located near NUS. Shop is opened till 3am and has home delivery at reasonable charges. Tastes good and prices are affordable. Can get crowded sometimes and doesn't have air-conditioning. Overall a good place to hangout and eat.
it's our local. Been a few years since we were last here. Layout is the same but the popularity of the place has grown. Does a roaring trade in delivery service. Food is great and was served quickly. Service extremely good and friendly. Prices about par for the area.
One of the best halal restaurants in pasir panjang. They serve indian muslim and other halal dishes i.e nasi goreng, mee goreng and tomyum. Good food at affordable price. There is parking nearby too.
Excellent for a late night meal. Their chilli chicken was different - used black pepper cods for the heat but it was delicious. The Dal palak was thick, creamy and delicious. The bhindi masala was worth skipping. Near the university area do expect a lot of crowd esp late at night
Maybe I'm just a white guy who doesn't know any better 🤷🏼, but this spots mutton biryani is on point. Only $8. The portion size is good and they don't skimp on the goat 🐐.
They take Nets 💳 and the service tends to be quick 🏃🏾♂️Also one of the only places that serves fresh coconut 🥥 straight from the tree.
Menu has a sea of options, so if you want something western, Malay, or Chinese you can find it.
The nan is awesome. Nicely crisped yet moist. The butter chicken is balanced in flavor but let down by a rather tough meat. Coilsnt remember the name o fthr spinich with cream, worth every cent. Service is on the slow side so prepare for a wait. Avout 20 minutes from order to service. And this was off peak. A definite return tomorrow to take photos
Food is good and easily reachable. From NUS campus also in walking distance! Make sure to bring cash as card payment didn’t work for me. I can absolutely recommend!
Great service, food comes quickly even when the restaraunt is busy and staff are very friendly. However, the food is very greasy and the toilets are extremely grubby. Definitely dodge the spins whatever you do - especially the orange and apple spin which were disgusting (neon green is not the most appetizing colour). Overall, the food was mediocre but, I repeat, DO NOT order the spins. Would reccommend if you are looking for a cheap meal.
Very well priced and affordable food. Good bang for the buck. Nice Northern Indian food that's not easy to beat.
Gets crowded at peak periods, and also offers delivery. Be sure to check the wait time before ordering.
This place normally remains crowded as it is near by NUS, North Indian food is a bit better in in terms of quality and taste compare to food courts. Menu is a bit varstyle too. This restaurant also remains open till late night. Their closing time is 3AM and they open again at 5:30 AM. All in all its a nice place specially for subcontinent friends.
Wonderful place if you're looking for a supper spot. The service team is really on the ball, so you don't wait to long to get your order taken or to find a table.
Only real complaint is the price - it's somewhat steep, even compared to its neighbours. But the food is quite something, so if you don't mind paying, it could be worthwhile!
Visited couple of days ago. Affordable Indian food. Had mutton biriyani and chicken tikka. What amazed me was the quantity of tikka available for 6 dollars - 6 pieces! It wasn't very tasty though. Not tender like it should be. However, a good place to go to near NUS if you can't travel to Little India
Good northern Indian breads and dips at reasonable prices.
Although near to a school, do not expect canteen prices. Coffee comes at a standard price of one dollar though, which is much welcomed for a public food outlet.
Al Amaan offers delivery within NUS for a flat fee of two dollars, take out is also available if you are in the area.
Place always filled with uni students. Can be rowdy and noisy at times. It feels like you're in their school canteen...but 4 stars is entirely base on the good food.
Food is always great here. Fulfill all your cravings, of all things Indian, and then some. You can order pretty much anything on the menu, and you will find yourself craving for more. Make it a point to stop by, and if you can’t, you could always have your food delivered right to your doorstep. Always a pleasure to dine at Al Amaan. It does get crowded at times, so keep your cool with some icy cold drink or some good ole “Teh Halia” (ginger tea).
A must visit when you'rein this part of Singapore. They have all varieties of food, Indian, Chinese, Malay, Continental you name it. The best dishes I've tried are Beef steaks, pepper lamb, garlic nan and gobi Manchurian. Go for it, you won't get any better restaurant offering vast varieties which is inexpensive.
Great place to have North Indian food! Should try the gobi manchurian, butter naan, biriyani and kadai paneer! The best non alcoholic drinks to go with this combination are the blue lime juice and iced milo. Not hard on the wallet. Open until late into the night. They also do door deliveries.
Noisy atmosphere due to the students from nus crowding at this popular spot. A well deserved popularity I may say, good indian food for cheap
I tried the Mutton Biryani. It was pretty decent in flavour nothing too exceptional. The quality of the meat used was good and the portion size served was filling. A good Biryani near NUS.
One of the few Indian restaurants at this price range with their own Tandoor. Good Indian and Malay food, open 24 hours and they deliver! The naan is hot out of the oven and very good.
Good food, and not too pricey. I personally always go for the Malai Kofta and Naan. But the thing is the taste isn't super consistent, some days it tastes creamier or more spice-y then others.
Very friendly staff but their pandan tea standard has def dropped. Loved their other drinks .
Decent food at decent prices. open till late for supper!! However one of the staff/owners always stands outside the shop trying to pull people in. Which turns out to be a tad bit of a turn off.
Wow the food here is just simply amazing. I frequent this place countless times over a short period of time. The mutton korma and mutton masala are jus amazing. i haven tried their other dishes cos i haven got enough of them yet =D.
Amazing food at a very decent price. Will be back for many more times to taste different kinds of food they have in their menu... 🙂
Nice place to dine with family or friends. Affordable price. Lots of variety. Another version of the SPICE. Go n check it out. Nasi goreng kampong is one of the best.
I had Kadhai Paneer+ Cheese/Garlic Naan.. it was amazing. North Indian/ tandoori food is amazing here..
Pretty much a decent tandoori cuisine experiance when i visited and the avocado milkshake is awesome though super sweet. Loved the place and will be always coming back
Inexpensive and delicious North Indian food. The biryani is very good especially considering the price; so is the naan and tandoori chicken.
Nice ambience and good food!
Very delicious damn worth
Nice place to have a late dinner or supper and chill out. They pack you food nicely if you take away. Very nice
Recently renovated and mostly occupied by the NUS students late at night. Open until 3 am which is good for night owls.
Food is pretty good, given the price. Service is reasonably fast. Place is usually packed. Tables are too close to each other, sometimes causing a lot of trouble to move out of the way.
Crowded when we were there at 2200hrs. Very affordable dishes & tasty too. Fast service.
My girlfriend and I near lived at this place when we stayed in a hotel close by...the hotel was terrible however this place made up for it. Great food, service and price, we would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.
Decent for indian/mamak style meal etc. Some of the food is great but most so-so. Butter chicken with naan is a great combination!
Economic value for money restaurant. However, the standard of food here has been deteriorating. So has their service quality. Hope their management reverses it soon.
Really nice food.
The nan is fantastic.
You may have problems ordering. But the food is great.
As a 24 hour restaurant, it's really a blessing in disguise. If you are partying and suddenly get hungry, I would suggest try it🤷🏻♂
Great food . Reasonable prices. Local indian muslims dishes. Parking a concern though
Good food for Indian food, Chinese style lost in original flavor. Recommended for Indian food.
This is a good place for food. You can get nice and tasty foods here yet the price is reasonable.
Good food, but bit on the pricy side. I wouldn't recommend the naan or porotta.
Interesting prawn briyani and butter chicken. The ginger milk tea was gooooood
Decent food and experience
You can get Malay, Indian, chinese and thai food here. They do delivers too.
The place is nice, the food is delicious...the prices are relatively...and of course, this place serves Halal food...
