There’s an incredible selection of beer and the food is excellent. There’s live music on certain days as well. Not too crowded on a weekday. Tried the stone ipa 👍🏻, two pork knuckles, fish and chip, escargot, sausage platter, truffle fries, wiener, chicken schnitzel and etc ….

The bar offers a wide range of beers, but unfortunately, many of them are of such low quality that they're not really worth trying. Several of these beers are also the cheapest you can buy in their country of origin. Of course, if you want the good ones, go for the German or British and of course the best one is Urquell from Czeck Republic

Tried the bee hoon, nice to eat but very little ingredients (can pork). The pork knuckle is dry and a bit hard at the outer layer but super soft inside. Taste wise, blend. The sauce is watery and not much flavour. Presentation of the dish is good. Tried the sausages too, tasted like those bought from supermarket, very normal, the skin is tough to chew but still nice to eat. Beer selection is amazing....lots of craft beer. We had a fun time drinking different type of craft beer. The service is 5 star. Amazing. The waitress will look at customers and always ready to serve. Live band singers are great, providing, English, Chinese and Philippines songs. Song request is possible. Environment is top notch. Clean and cosy place. Good for loving couples, family gathering, birthday celebrations and company gatherings. Highly recommended place for relaxation.

Took my Mom here for Mother's Day and our experience was nothing short of absolutely wonderful. The decor felt very cozy and it had a very European vibe to it. There was even live music through the evening! My Mom was so overwhelmed (in the best way possible) at how vast their selection of beers is. So many options from so many countries, she was spoiled for choice. Eventually (after much deliberation) she decided on the German Aventinus Eisbock and Belgian Chimay Red which she said were both refreshing and delicious. The food selection is so exciting. The sausages were so fresh and delicious. The potato salad that came with it was insanely flavourful. The schnitzel was very tender and the fries tasted homemade and were so good! On a whim I ordered the Mala fried rice and I was flabbergasted. The rice was cooked wonderfully with so much pork and ingredients added to it. The Mala flavour packed a big punch with more spice than numbing which is exactly how we like it. This place has it all. Delicious German AND local food!!! The highlight for me though has to be their roasted potatoes (one of their house specialties). It came in a hotplate with a crust of crispy cheese. Inside it was a treasure trove of perfectly cooked potatoes with so much delicious cheese, bacon and even some onion and mushroom! It stayed warm throughout our meal and every bite was better than the last. All in all everything from the food, the ambience to the service was top notch. Our hostesses Jay and Sanni took an already wonderful experience to the next level with their warm and friendly service! If you want a place to enjoy good food and music that has an endless selection of beer and delicious food, this is the place for you. While slightly on the pricier side, it is well worth it! I'm so glad I found out about this place and I can't wait to go back!

Wide variety of beer and very homely. Been here for years and they stayed consistent. However, not all beers on the menu are available and you should check with the staff before ordering. Always order the sausage platter here as you can’t go wrong with sausages. However, the table beside us was having beehoon which looked and smelled super good. Will try next time.

First time here, waited quite long for our food due to large crowd in the restaurant. Upon sampling the food, it was a wait worth it, food was so delicious. Daughter enjoyed the pretzels very much and she gave a thumb up 👍🏻 for the sausage platter. Pork Schnitzel was nicely done and goulash was so amazingly good! Best of all the pork knuckle is so crispy, goes so well with the accompanying sauce. Definitely will come again to try their signature fried beehoon.

Nice place to hang out and drink in Novena. Accidentally find this place in google map when I am looking for place to have breakfast in Novena. A bit of doubt at the beginning due to its location in Novena (why not in Clarke Quay or other famous hang out place) but it turns out to be satisfaction. I am a bit surprised as they literally serving wide variety of beer from all over the world from America to those countries that u cannot immagine the brand of beer. To save time, I asked the waitress what’s the fav brand and she suggested Schöfferhofer which I find it very good especially after spending more than 12 hours of activities since morning. Just a bit suggestion, perhaps could add music to make the vibe more life. The experience above is not enough such that I go here again within 2 days to catch up with friend and also to close my short SG trip. Really recommended and will definitely return here for my visit to SG!!! Update on 03 Dec 2022: As per my earlier review from 1st visit in early July 2022, I kept my word to definitely come back here on my visit to SG in early Dec 2022. I really love this place due to its cozy vibe, robust variation of beer and accessibility. Update on 23 Dec 2022: This place is indeed a good place to hang out or end the day after whole day activities. During holiday trip with family and friend, I take them to this place so that they can also enjoy the feeling I have every time I come here. This time I order Franziskaner dunkel as suggested by the waitress and it is indeed a good choice. Thanks for the lovely service and place.

Brauhaus is a fantastic spot if you’re into a bit of culinary adventure. They’ve got this amazing array of beers from everywhere you can think of, which alone makes it worth a visit. The food is extremely stellar as well. Their bee hoon is super tasty—just the right kind of light and flavorful. And the pork knuckle? It’s hearty, filling, and seasoned to perfection. If you’re looking for a place where you can kick back with great beer and even better food, you have to check this place out.

First time trying crocodile meat, young boss of the pub, Tyan, was really kind to give a heads up of what am I going to expect. Appreciate the really honest review from the young owner of the pub and restaurant. Love the experience eating crocodile meat tbh! Should try you’ve never try it before!! Other than that food is really good, highly recommend the pork knuckle and their signature bee hoon. Ordered a small pork knuckle for 3 pax and we can’t finish because the portion is really generous!! As for beer lovers, you will love this place because they have like unlimited kinda different beer! 🙌🏼

The place is dark and I was bitten by mosquitoes. The service staff's attitude was terrible. There was only 1 lady who was serving. Very rude and not very willing to serve. Food was ok. Not fantastic. The mushroom soup was good and the beef was cooked to the right doneness. Pork knuckle was very hard and dry. Price is not cheap at all.

Service was great! Lady boss recommended beers that suit our palate and then food was superb as well! The neighbouring table mentioned that ought to try the fried rice but didn’t have enough space after the cheesy potato bake. Left overs can be taken away too

Loved the place and the food. Has a good vibe though it's a bit dark inside. I highly recommend the pig trotter bee hoon, and the bangers and mash dishes. Most importantly, the variety of beers here is astonishing. Prices may be high but you are here for the exotics.

Amazing selection of beer! The beer comes from all sorts of countries, including those you can’t spell. The place has indoor and outdoor seats, both radiating chill vibes. I frequent here as it shows English football matches over the weekends!

Celebrated a close friend’s birthday with a dinner on 9 Apr 2022. The restaurant ambiance and service were very good. The owner, Sanni, was very good in recommending drinks to our group of 10 (7 girls and 3 boys). The best part was a surprise singing performance where the singer sung many songs that were familiar to us. This brought back many good old memories. Our birthday girl did enjoyed the dinner very much. 🎂👍💯

Always have good food recommendations. Yums Yums to their Gambas and Green Mussels cooked in beer. Such friendly vibe there for my family to relax & chill. My pix do no justice to food but best to try them yourself.

You can't find a better place for a wide variety of beers from all nations. Monastary beers are pricey, considering that it is fraction of the price in the places where they came from and the alcohol tax is not as high as for wine and spirits. But service is good and attention to details is given, like the different beers will be poured into its own customised mugs or glasses. The pork knuckles is one of the more authentic one I have eaten.

Brauhaus is an amazing place. Great lady boss, staff and family business. The beer selection is wicked!!! You have choices you won’t get anywhere else. The grub here ranges from Teochew to German, and my personal fave is the Mala fried rice. Atmosphere and crowd here are also wholesome and boisterous. Plus there’s live music. If you wanna have a good eve somewhere a bit off from town, this is the place!

Went back again for couple of World Cup screenings.. and this pub still never disappoints.. Brauhaus - It may look like the average local pub / restaurant; let me assure you that it is anything but; and more... I just finished some field service work and was looking for some dinner when I happened on Brauhaus. Initial looks says it's been there for quite a while (33 + years!!!), upon a closer look the main displays are actually the "ginormous" amount of different beers they serve. Entering the venue gives a very homely feel to it, and looking at the crowd with their "feasts" and smiles; I can't resist. I was greeted by a friendly staff with a huge smile. Took a while to study the menu and I eventually asked the server to recommend me something... Good ole Fish & Chips; it is!! The dish is served with 2 generous portions of fish slices, fries and a side of salad. Suffice to say, by the time I thought about a photo for the dish, it had already disappeared... Timing was perfect as there's another highlight in the venue. Just after I finished my meal, a soloist stepped up on stage and provided entertainment for the rest of the evening. This calls for another beer, listening to some Michael Franks, James Taylor, Carole King... etc. Some folk and rock ballads, as well. What's supposed to be any other evening, turned out to be very entertaining indeed!!! So whether you're hanging out with some friends for the evening or taking the family out for a meal, Brauhaus gets to the top of my list places to go.

This pub is suitable for all occasions and literally everyone - I brought my business colleagues, friends, and family here. It welcomes all ages, all genders, all backgrounds by its delicious food, drinks and service. The live music is precious, it can instantly improve your mood and the evening - If you want to talk, sit outside; after you're done talking, go inside and enjoy the music + the aircon. Even if you come alone, before you know you already made new friends, you won't feel lonely at all. In other pubs, one can easily feel awkward and lonely before their friends arrive....difficult to even breathe beyond 1 second

Loving the nostalgic vibes! Feels like a European pub. Many beer selections. Food was great! Pork knuckle, brussel sprouts (must try!!) and the beehoon had the best wok-hei. Owners were super friendly as well! edit 2 months in: back again with a group of friends and tried even more items - portobello mushrooms were SO delicious. the umami flavour of the mushroom paired with cheese is the best combination ever. Also, the ox tail stew felt so homey and that warm feeling you get eating it on a cold day is the best feeling ever. owners and staff have the best service and would constantly check on us to ensure we are satisfied!
