Reviews of Canopy Jurong Lake Gardens
It is nice that Chinese Garden has finally became hip with a cafe. I like how the outdoor seating area is really pet friendly. The tables are well spaced out, and there is also a holder to keep the dog leash so that pawrents can have a meal in peace. Food wise, did Canopy updated their menu? Seems different from the last time I ate at the other outlets. Nonetheless the food was not bad, but the pricing is not. Service is prompt, but the outdoor seats can be a bit hot though.
Nice place to chill out in the west, especially after walking around Chinese Garden/ Jurong Lake Park. Tried the pasta and their breakfast platter. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Nice ambience and interior decor. It's also pet-friendly (outdoor only).
options are very limited. the food tasted not bad.. portion just nice. we ordered mocha (not in pic) and hot chocolate and both tasted too sweet for our liking. the food preparation took quite a while..
Came for both brunch and lunch today! Try the mentaiko pasta. Super yummy!
For a hot day, the watermelon smoothie is absolutely shiok!
Welcomed at the entrance by staff and in general well taken care of! Highly recommend!
Will definitely be back when I’m at the Chinese Gardens!
Thrilled to see this newly opened restaurant in Chinese Garden! A good place to rest and enjoy my delicious healthy lunch after a long ride. I love the ambiance and the atmosphere here. Great view & relaxing vibe~ Definitely a chill spot for me and my family in the future!
Restaurant was busy. But waiter were super patient and helpful. Great experience. Food was good. Highly recommend.
Another great place for pets chill out.. the food is nice and atmosphere is so chill.. we came at evening after raining… so windy and relax. most importantly the staff is super friendly.. like Mr Max and other colleagues… will come again and again.. thank you God Bless . 😍🤙🙏🏻
After exercising, decided to reward my wife and myself for a nice beer. Wanted some finger foods to go along with our beer. Was recommended the pop corn shrimps, Hawaii thin crust pizza and truffle fries. All of these three items are wonderfully prepared. On top of it the restaurant was really cozy. Service staffs was very polite and gave good recommendations for their foods.
Very nice cafe at Jurong Lake Gardens, but it was really hot in the afternoon with the sun shining directly at us. Food and service were great though.
Had dinner at Canopy Jurong two days ago with two friends. The restaurant was not busy. Ordered cauliflower fritters, pepperoni pizza and fish and chips. Of the 3 dishes, only one can make it. For the fish and chips, the fish was overly salty, the pepperoni pizza was just flat. The comments on the quality of food was in reference to the price point.
The atmosphere is great and serene. The manager who served us (wore black shirt and pants) deserved a pat at the back. These two deserve a 5-star rating no doubt.
One of the best places so far. Price is a little steep but still one of the best. Alfresco was cooling and chill vibes.
Truffle mushroom pizza is one of the best I have ever eaten. Not too creamy, just nice. Truffle has a complex taste, nothing monotonous like the cheap gas smell.
Seafood pasta was also great, strong umami taste with a touch of spicy
Amazing food, one of the best dinners I've eaten, ever.
Both crabmeat pasta and truffle pizza were delicious and exceeded our expectations. Thin crust pizza paired with mushrooms and truffle oil, mmmm.
Our lava cake took a while as the first had an incident. That was fine. However, the second one came and it wasn't lava'ish. No chocolate flow and it was just warm which is disappointing.
Another issue is no free tap water which I had an issue with. It's $2 for water which is non-refillable.
Staff service and the other two food were impeccable. Will definitely return to try other dishes, probably skip the lava cake.
Friendly service with good food.
came with group of 6 people, Enjoyed the good view while having lunch
3 words : really good food 😋
Would come back again !!!!
Dog friendly too 🐶
Despite newly opened with overwhelming crowd on a weekend, the supervisor was very professional and patient to handle the queue situation reasonably. Quality of food was not disappointing too. The service of staffs was prompt and the ambience gives a positive vibes. Thanks for the good experience. 👍
A friend and I had gone here due to the beautiful photos posted here on Google Maps. Due to the rain, we couldn't enjoy the outside seating. However, we went inside and ordered the pancake breakfast and a pot of tea.
The images on the menu showed the pancake breakfast to be quite large portions. So we were worried about being able to finish. However the portions were smaller than average pancakes. They were about the size of my palm. So we were 100% able to finish each drop.
Aside from the portion size, we did enjoy the flavors of the pancakes, sausages, and eggs.
I gave the customer service a lower rating only because I am personally not a fan of the QR system. For the pandemic, I totally understand it. However, since we are going back to normal and are mask free, it would feel more comfortable to be able to talk to a staff member about suggestions and recommendations. Also talking to a staff member makes it easier to discuss food allergies.
Most QR code menus do not allow you to key in your dietary restrictions/requests.
All in all, I enjoyed the food and give it a 7.5/10. I'm not sure if I will go back but it was nice to try something new.
Went there for brunch on a sat morning last month. Was looking forward to it but was an underwhelming experience. Brunch menu was limited and not creative. We ordered the breakfast platter and a cheese sandwiche (cant remember what). Both came with a slice of pumpkin. We are not big fans of pumpkin - so was boring to have 2 slices. Coffee was good though.
Will go back for coffee but maybe not for brunch.
Service was good and envt was nice.
I thought this place looked great from the photos so went to check it out.
The setting was nice, even on a wet day. There is no wifi there and for me without a Singapore SIM card, this was a bit annoying when presented with a QR code to order from the digital menu. However, the server lent me an iPad so I could see what to order. Really I just wished they had some actual menus to view rather than digital and it totally prevents any server-customer rapport.
My food came out, and then we waited for my partner’s food to come out. After a minute or two, my partner told me to start or it will get cold. I can’t stand dishes not being brought out at the same time- it’s SO rude. Eventually, we asked where it was (by this time I had almost finished my plate) and the server said it was new staff in the kitchen and they had to start the dish again because it was burned. Some explanation or warning prior would have gone a long way and we would have been more forgiving.
Having said that, both our dishes were very tasty but we chose not to stay for dessert. I ordered the pan-fried salmon with veg which was asparagus, mashed potato and tomatoes (which are fruits but let’s not split hairs!).
Decent food. A little pricey.
Disappointed with quality of food. Ordered the burger and fish & chips which were both very salty. Spent more time drinking water then eating. Had to remove the batter of the fish just to finish it. Waiting time was long, abt 30mins even thou the place was only 20-30% full. Price is overpriced for the standard of food. The ambience and views unable to make up for the standard of food
Nice ambience by the park, they have indoor and outdoor seatings.
Food was served pretty quickly too considering they had quite a fair bit of customers.
Truffle mushroom pasta was good and fragrant. Aglio olio has a spicy kick. Caesar salad was alright too. Margherita pizza was of thin crust and felt quite wet in a sense.
Nice ambience. Nice coffee and nice crossaint ($15+). Good customer service. I personally don't like the margerita pizza ($19+), it is because the pizza was too thin and taste like prata with tomato paste.
Great location, superb serene views of the garden and service was fantastic. Very spacious and a good place to check out for pet owners. Book early if you want the pet friendly area on weekends, it's packed! One suggestion for Canopy, there are so many pet owners walking around in jurong lake gardens, if your indoors is pet friendly as well, your business will boom. Just look at Surreyhills. They're a hit.
Been here a few times over the years. It's a pretty open atas nice to chill place within a nice environment (bishan park). Ample free public parking available as well. If not for it's pricey menu (justifiable though) I would have come here quite often.
Food and drinks are quite good. Especially the squid ink rice which is pretty memorable. Mac and Cheese, platters, pork steak are all very well done.
Nice place to chill if willing to afford the prices
Nice place but food isn't very good.
- Mushroom soup was served luke warm and chunky.
- Calamari tasted nice but was not very crispy, wasn't qq.
- Fish and chips fish doesnt taste like snapper bomba rice too starchy.
Pizza was good though!
Decent food. Nice ambience. Staff was considerate enough to inform us that the only indoor seating left was near the toilet which might not be preferred and allowed us to change to outdoor seating.
The service speed was good. Food was quite ok. The pork rib was abit tough.
My company booked out the whole place and we had a buffet style menu - penne pasta with mushrooms and chilli padi, cauliflower fritter, salmon with dill sauce, chicken roulade with asparagus, Angus strip loin, 3 different cakes (tiramisu, cheesecake, matcha), 2 types of bread (croissant which was yum and regular bread), salad bar with the works and also wild mushroom soup. Overall a nice spot in the park!
Food ok in general but the staff aren’t very friendly. Probably just that 1 or 2 were not in good mood that day. Maybe will giv it a try again.
Food were served very very very slow. It’s not a crowded day.
The utensil for the kids were horrible. Full of sign of Wear and tear. They could have replace it with new ones. If not, don’t even bother to serve ? I didn’t use it.
The Fries are nice, the chicken burger also very crunchy. The pancake is soft.
The staff are very prompt when it comes to serving. Didn't have to wait for long for the food. I ordered the fish and chips and it was ok but was feeling thirsty after the meal. A bit too much MSG? Oh, they don't offer plain water you need to buy bottled mineral water. They charge a cup of hot water for $2.
We came for brunch at the Canopy today to celebrate Ashlyn's birthday. We ordered a Grilled Breakfast with scrambled eggs and the portion was very big that it is enough for two pax! We also ordered Wild Porcini Mushroom Soup which is very creamy and rich. The girls ordered Truffle Fries, Chick-O-Pops, Classic Hawaiian Pizza and Carbonara for sharing. The thin crust pizza is soft and savory while we all find the carbonara a little too salty to our palate. This is my second visit and will sure to visit again. The next time shall leave some stomach space for desserts 😊
The experience here was great, with dogs and people chilling here. Food was great and so was the service but I have to say the fish for the fish and chips was sLiGhTlY dry but overall was good. Would come again :)
Had a walk at Chinese & Japanese Garden, ended up at Canopy for early dinner. Ordered BBQ ribs and crispy chicken thigh. Food is good, manager, Max is friendy… pet friendly at non aircon area.

Cafe was crowded despite it being a weekday. Located close to a large public carpark. Free parking. Had the set lunch. The only thing I enjoyed was the mushroom soup😪. Ceaser salad is typically served with hard boiled eggs. This was served with an onsen egg🙄. Runny egg with raw vegetables🤮🤢. Crab pasta was quite tasteless with strong frozen crab taste/smell. Fish & chips was decent. Have had much better.
Great vibes, nice food, drinks in the garden, what more can one ask for
There's outdoor dining, and they have baby high chairs. There's toilet within the restaurant. They have some vegetarian options. Impossible Burger is very juicy and taste great and comes with alot of fries. No much special with Truffle pasta. Too $$$, great environment but waited very long for the food. Clearing table very fast but servicers too busy to smile. Too busy to spot customer's attentions. Maybe will try weekday when it's not crowded and busy.
Chosen cafe for a birthday lunch for my bestie. Booked the place and ushered straight to our table. Spacious, food was great, lots of selection. Had calamari, Caesar salad, croissant scramble eggs, crabmeat alio olio, fish n chips, squid ink w fried chicken, Hawaiian pizza, truffle fries, usual lattes, flat whites, mocha, ice and hot choc. The mocha, ice choc was disappointing but the coffees look good. There was a staff (young, tall lady in glasses) attended to us, very polite and attentive, helpful to take photos for us too. When we asked for the bday cake (we brought our own) to be served, she asked who is the bday girl so they can place it at the right location. They also gave us a spare knife to cut the cake n brought the utensils promptly. Service was really good thanks to this staff. 4 stars due to the drinks, however the staff’s service more than made up for our dining experience there . Thank you! Plenty of parking just 3mins walk from the restaurant.
Food was above average however slightly on the pricier side. The Mac and cheese was decadent and cheesy with the salty ham chunks contained within. The truffle pasta didn't have a strong enough truffle taste although the pasta was cooked Al dente. The pop corn chicken was evidently microwaved and can be skipped. The Spanish Pork was the highlight because it was fatty and tender, the accompanying onion sauce was sweet and savory and we polished the sauce with the mash potato. The beer battered fish was fresh and flaky. Overall a decent meal but the restaurant was situated in a rather hidden part of the park.
Celebrated a good friend's birthday over lunch. Had beer battered fish & chips, salad, mushroom soup & drinks. Fish & chips is good as fish is fresh except the quality of chips is average. Soup isnt exactly hot. Salad mix is good though with poached egg. While food is generally good, what disappoints is the service exhibited. The orrdered Tiramisu cake came without candle although it has been prearranged and instructed. Subsequently, the candle was passed to the Birthday girl 😵 and no offer to light up the candle🤦♀️
Staff are accommodating esp Ruby.
Food is so so but pricey.
Creamy avocado tasted nothing like avocado, honestly it's awful that eventhough I tried to consumed it since it costs 14 sgd, I just can't stand the taste. The staff did replaced the first avocado smoothie when I complained about the taste, so the second one is a tiny bit better but still sucks.
We came on a saturday morning and the place was crowded, noisy and the ambiance of the place is far from what I expected in comparison with the website.
The food was acceptable and portion is just nice for small eaters. Although, must day that the service is almost non-existent aside from the sour vibe the waitress gives out.
It is a perfectly good dining if you happen to be in the area and you managed to get a table. But to make reservation and purposely head there to have brunch, the experience just doesn't appeal for another visit.
A good place to dine around the neighborhood. Always love their mushroom soup. The mains were delicious. The lava cake was tasty. Recommended.
I visited Canopy last Sunday with my family and pets for dinner but forgetting to make a reservation. Despite being fully booked, Shri and his team went above and beyond to accommodate us.
Instead of waiting, they arranged an extra outdoor table, making us feel valued and appreciated. Their exceptional service, delicious food, and pet-friendly atmosphere made our evening unforgettable.
Kudos to Shri and his team for their outstanding hospitality! Your extra effort made a significant difference. We'll definitely return.
Thank you, Shri and team, for an exceptional dining experience!
Truffles pizza, fish and chips, fries, hoegarden rose beer are good.
There is water leaking from outdoor root during the rainy day. Manager was doing her job and able to switch for a better location to us. The other staff there always give you weird face when you tells them no reservation.
Lovely restaurant nestled within Bishan Park.
The lobster bisque was pretty good, but crab meat aglio olio was abit too salty, The creamy avocado beverage was quite nice.
Given the nice surroundings and decent food offerings, will come back again to try other items before concluding if this restaurant is for me or not.
First time to this park; many other complimentary services around too. Nice place to have breakfast while morning sun and air is fresh. Hope to have some Asian menu too for variety.
Visited Canopy on a Sunday evening.
We chose Canopy as they're dog friendly and it's right in front of the car park.
We had the Wild Porcini Mushroom Soup to start. It was nice and creamy, not too thick.
We then had the Black Angus Cheeseburger.
The fries were cooked to perfection. It had a nice crisp to it and it was perfectly salted.
I requested for my burger to be cooked medium rare and it did not disappoint.
It was cooked perfectly and the patty was very juicy.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the burger was as I've been here in the past and the standard was subpar.
Glad to see that they've improved in their quality and service!
Will definitely come again when I walk my dog at Bishan Park!
Pet friendly eatery with a chilled vibe. Food is pretty tasty (I recommend the roasted chicken thigh+ prawn aglio which was al dente) . Service staff are friendly and responsive .
Other than the Pet friendly place & Yamazaki whisky, nothing much to rave about the food. Too salty & the crackling pork was a disappointment really. Ambience was nice though if you just want a drink with your pet around after a walk in the park, still alright I guess.
Very pricey. Service staff are not the friendliest. Wanted to pay at the cashier & they told me to wait cos they want to train their staff first. Atmosphere is nice otherwise.
Not so bad. Had a couple of beers. The steak is good, but somehow the medium done steak i ordered is undercook, $38 per set and I am expecting more side dishes to go along. It only came with salad and mash potato which is abit disappointed for the price. Salmon salad is good. Calamari is great. Over all experience is good, they had good service. Outdoor seat is pet friendly.
Sunday late afternoon quite empty. Scan QR code on table, self service order and payment at counter. Burger juicy, quite yummy. Fries non greasy not salty. One star taken away because menu quite misleading, only show weekday happy hour, doesn't show what's the difference for weekend.
Unique and great food, manager Shri was very approachable and helped to clarify our doubts effectively.
Food is good, would recommend the squid ink rice with chicken. Giving it a 3 star because the second time I went there on a Saturday, my partner and I went home and had diarrhoea. I ended up with bad food poisoning till today (Tuesday). We had the chicken squid ink rice, beef cubes and carbonara, highly suspect to be the carbonara since we haven’t had that before and it was very creamy and oily. Had onions in it too which was weird on a recipe side note.
Went to the park for a morning walk and settled at this restaurant for breakfast. Food is decent and service is fine. I had the crab pasta which is a bit spicy. Don’t mind trying their lunch next time.
Nice environment, food ok. Not a fan of their coffee and the Salad leaves had a lot of dark spots, not sure what it is didn't dare to eat.
Great place for brunch, though they don’t offer a set that includes coffee. Had the big breakfast. Water is only bottled… not a good start in my books.
The ambience here is very nice, enjoy the coffee during raining day. Wai Loon is very friendly and helpful. The sky juice is nice!
Great place for chill and relax, place can be crowded so book your slot during busy hour . Try out the impossible burger and the taste was good and you totally could not tell the different that it a vegetarian meal
Convenient location for a meal while strolling through Bishan park. Fantastic service. Dog-friendly! Food was good.
Visited during Saturday brunch and I can say that the Mac and cheese is not bad however, the booking portal is not working, I received notification from email it has my reservation is successful however upon arrival, it didn’t appear in their iPad system, I have requested for al fresco dining in the reservation but they still wouldn’t give me although I showed my email of the reservation clearly stating it, overall customer experience is so so, some other cafe would have accommodated and assign seats. And the coffee came with bubbles, are we not expecting coffee art on the coffee?
Definitely recommend this place
Loved it. Comfy, cozy and clean. Love bringing my cat there to just chill out and have a pint of Stout. Truffle pasta and Caesar salad is my all time fav.
Enjoyed sipping wine while sitting indoor too when I'm not with my pet.. ambience is good. Convenient to book reservation online too 💕
A cafe restaurant located in the lush “Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park”☕️🍽
The terrace is a “garden cafe” full of nature☘️☕️
I was happy to enjoy the calm and stylish atmosphere amidst the greenery 🥰☘️
The chef 👨🍳's recommended ``Aglio Olio'' had a lot of garlic🧄 and was delicious🥰
In front of the store, I saw a giant pothos that I had never seen before.I met several chickens, and if I walked a little while walking in the park, I also saw two Merlions. I think it's a really nice place☘️☘️☘️
The food was average, the fried chicken was very dark and had a burnt taste. The environment is pretty good, and drinking beer and watching football here is a good choice.
The first time I went there, the price was a bit expensive. The steak was just average, but the lamb chops were delicious.
Dog Friendly Cafe
The cafe is clean and the food is delicious!
I’m so glad that so many dog friends came to visit~
Instead, those who bring dogs can only sit in the outdoor seats^____^
Clams pasta & prawn mentaiko pasta taste really good
In the middle of Bishan Park, just a stone's throw away from the parking lot (Car Park A). Pet friendly = lots of dogs. The food is good, pasta, fish and chips, and burgers all have their own specialties. During holidays, you often have to wait for a table or book a table in advance.
I invite customers and friends here every time. The staff is friendly and you can sit outside and pet the dog.
The location is quiet and the place is friendly. Unfortunately, the food is only Japanese food and there are other options, which is a fly in the ointment.
Crab garlic oil must try!
