The food is reasonably priced but it doesn’t do well in the taste department. Beef ragu is lacking in richness and depth, calamari is really small in size and not of good quality. Burrata is decent. Peroni beer is really good and cold

The pasta portion was very filling and seafood of high quality. Service was great and welcoming. We also had the calamari fritti, love the mayonnaise-like sauce that comes with it. Would definitely order it again when I am back

Saw a review of this restaurant on social media recently and decided to give it a try, especially since it has pet friendly outdoor seats. Service staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, first bite brought me back to Italy. Recommended.

Came in to have a nice anniversary meal and was not disappointed. We ordered a few things: Salmon Tartare (so good), Eggplant Parmigiana (REALLY good), Conchiglie w Slow Cooked Beef & Smoked Tomatoes (it was like an elevated beef bolognaise) and one of their signatures, Mafaldine w Spanner Crab & Bisque. The pasta was a perfect al dente with a good bite. All the dishes tasted wonderful. The Mafaldine had a lovely seafood taste as well. I think only gripe for us was that maybe the crab chunks should be a little bigger to give more texture. If not everything was just one dimensional. A big winner for us was the Eggplant Parm. So damn good! Their ice teas were also good, particularly the Orange/Yuzu Iced Tea. Overall, cannot wait to be back to try more dishes!

Went to the Holland V outlet. Signature pasta(forgot the name but it’s the more yellow/orange one in the pictures) was great! Other one was a bit bland. Calamari was good. Will definitely come again.

the soft shell crab was not fresh, i could not eat it :( the pasta was still good with the meat in the pasta their pistachio ice cream was very authentic, their pistachio tiramisu was also very creamy and good! wouldve been very nice with coffee ice cream as well atmosphere was a tad bit loud

Food and service were good and reasonably price. However , it was a rush rush dinner as we were told finish eating and to leave by 8 pm . Too stressful meal in a noisy environment. Despite having advanced booking of 3 pax , we were squeezed into one small round table . I had put special instruction for a corner table which was obviously ignored by the restaurant. When I asked for a bigger table , I was told that the table has been reserved for party of 5 pax - I didn’t see 5 pax turning up for the dinner !

The pasta itself is the real star of the show. So springy and thick. I love it. The seafood pastas are really good (Aglio olio seafood and crab bisque), but kinda disappointed by the red sauce red meat dishes tho tbh. Wouldn’t order them again sadly. They charge for water. But their sparkling is good! Comes chilled w a lemon slice.

I discovered this gem through TikTok and was impressed by the friendly staff's excellent service and spot-on food recommendations! The pasta was cooked to perfection - I finished the whole dish, a rare feat! I'll definitely return with my family to enjoy more of their delicious offerings.

Food was great! Was pleasantly surprised by the salmon tartare. Ordered carbonara, it’s seems more like the cream version, not the authentic italian version, so we were rather disappointed with the taste, but the pasta itself has good texture. Spanner crab pasta was surprisingly good. We’ll come back for the tartare and spanner crab pasta and maybe try out other side dishes. Recommend to make a reservation as the place can get crowded

First time coming to the HV outlet. Ordered - burrata - spanner crab pasta - G&T 2x Total cost: $68 ($81.54 with service charge and GST) overall, I thought that the food was good but not outstanding, will be back to try other dishes since they’ve a pretty good menu. Would suggest other highly rated reviews to see what to order. The G&Ts were nice, elderflower had a stronger taste while for the passionfruit it kind of just tasted like juice. The spanner crab pasta was unique and interesting, but like other reviews have mentioned you don’t really see or taste much of the meat. Pasta was unique - this overall was a good buy. Burrata leaves a bit to be desired. It’s not runny, hard to cut, and the overall dish was very mid - you can definitely get better ones elsewhere. The best part was actually their Pistacchio Gelato - freaking yummy! Would recommend everyone to try. Will be back to try other dishes when I’m craving pasta. Service was lovely. Didn’t catch the name of the Indian lady waitress but she was a solid staff who was efficient, respectful, and kind. Another note: business is great even on weekday nights and it would be better to make a reservation beforehand. Or come slightly earlier/later. Dining period is 1h30mins.

We went on a Friday evening with no reservations and the place was packed! Managed to get an outdoor seat which was nice. We ordered the slow cooked beef Conchiglie and carbonara, which were served pretty quickly but we found the carbonara a little cold… I loved the flavours and texture of the pasta but for the price would’ve been nice to have a more generous portion. Service was great even at the outdoor seats, and they had good deals for the drinks! I really wanted to like it more since it looks soooo good on social media but I would say it was a little average. Might come back to give it another shot but for now wouldn’t rave about it tbh

We had the conchiglie with minced beef and smoked tomato, spaghetti with clams and pancetta, fried mozarella, iced lemonade and pistachio gelato. The spaghetti tastes more eggy than usual and lemonade too sour. Otherwise, the rest are good.

First time trying! First thought was that the place had really pretty interior and vibes, making it a good date spot (w bars to hop to after dinner too)! The food itself was decent, we got the truffle ricotta and spanner crab bisque pastas. Personally preferred the spanner crab pasta as I felt the cheese overpowered the truffle one at one point. Definitely cannot finish if I had it for myself, but good to get if you’re sharing! For a place that specialises in pastas, food was so-so. Service was good though, would recommend to try once!

Good food , good service and good atmosphere and ambience . We went to holland village outlet to celebrate Children’s Day 2024. For starters we ordered meatball and calamari.The starters were very good.After that we ordered the mains.We ordered pasta as mains. We ordered crab pasta and creamy carbonara.I like that the carbonara as it had a lot of bacon and a generous shaving of cheese.The crab pasta had a kick of spice which I Iiked.While my parents were enjoying the pistachio tiramisu,I got free strawberry ice-cream because my mother signed up as a member.- Michael (8 years old)

Very good dining experience at Chicco Pasta bar on a Friday evening! Food was great, so great that I forgot to take photo of the Duck and Parma ham toastie until it’s only left with one piece. I tried the Cauliflower and Pistachio tiramisu which were both good as well. Will definitely dine here again.

[Great Food, Outstanding Service] Expect to order 3 pastas for 2 people for a filling meal Crab mafaldine - Love the texture, taste was robust. Crab bits were adequate Beef Conchiglie - Mouthfeel was a bit weird, but the taste was good! Could have afforded a bit more meat imo Carbonara Rigatoni - YOms, the guanciale was Smokey and added aroma to the sauce!! Best dish we had for the night. Gin Tonic - well mixed with a nice kick! Quite worth Gelato - even though it was complimentary, there was effort though the addition of nuts. The nuts were of good quality!! And the gelato itself had a good texture Service - speedy and friendly!

Have tried them once in tj pagar and really liked their pasta. Lunch set $25 for one starter one pasta one drink is really quite a steal but today and tomorrow their offer is $12 pasta $5 beer so no lunch set. Tried their slow cooked beef pasta which is a bit salty for me I’d prefer the spanner crab pasta. They also give free gelato scoop to first time customers and the portion is generous with pistachio toppings 😍 will be back!

Highly recommend the crab pasta but I don’t recommend it having alone. You definitely need something else to balance out the seafood, maybe smth sweeter. It’s a little bit spicy for those that want zero spice, but just a hint. This pasta type might be my new favourite cuz we ordered the beef one as well 💆🏼‍♀️ Looking forward to go back just for drinks and sides. Missed out on the mozzarellas

We had an amazing dinner in a comfortable setup, great service where the staff were friendly and attentive. We had 2 pastas both very good, the duck toastie, 2 x $5 happy hour draft beers, etc.. polished up in no time. It’s been a while we were distracted by the OHV mall nearby with convenient standard mall setup but it’s time for us to start going back to the real Village stretch.

The food is unpretentious yet great tasting! I love the texture of the spaghetti and the nduja pasta taste. The pasta comes in great little platings for sharing (but sufficiently filling) so you can sample more for taste!

We tried the seafood aglio olio. It was nice, but tasted more like a vongole. I wonder why it was called an aglio olio then. The other pasta - a spicy pork one was nice as well. Handmade pasta was good. -1 star as pasta portion was small. What you see from influencers is not what you get in terms of portion.

Heard good reviews about this place for many months, but Telok Ayer was a bit too far from our place. Glad to know it's open next door to our place and we booked right away. Pasta selection is different compared to usual Italian restaurant menus we see; the shape/type of pasta and the ingredients are quite unique as well. We ordered the Gigli (truffle ricotta and mushroom) and another Gigli (Mushroom and Nduja). The taste was amazing; the chewiness of the pasta was just right and the ingredients came together beautifully to make a beautiful meal. We also got the pistachio tiramisu for dessert; it's good although we think the pistachio amount can be increased to make it a bit more intense :) Loved the service as well; everyone was super responsive and friendly; when our dessert took some time to arrive they apologized several times and ensure us that it's coming soon :)
