Reviews of Coucou Hotpot‧Brew Tea @Jewel
Food quality at coucou is always great! Love the excellent and enticing food presentation, so far it has never failed me! Also enjoyed the free flow braised pork rice from the condiments bar, so good! Service at jewel outlet was superb as well will recommend!
A great place to enjoy hotpot!
Really like the service here, when we ask about the promotion, they are so helpful and polite.
The food was delicious, all of them are fresh.
We received some free drinks and even the MALA TOFU !!
Will bring some more friends to here for sure, to have this delightful experience.
Fresh and tasty food with their unique sauces.
The free flow 卤肉饭 is soooo yummy 😋😋
Service is prompt, friendly and polite.
Special thanks to Jun Jie for explaining the details of the food, promotion and also provided some complimentary tea… the sorbet and ice cream is yummy too. Highly recommended for friend and family gathering. Thanks !
The hotpot broth is rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the fresh and high-quality ingredients.
Excellent service and cozy ambiance make it a must-try for hotpot lovers! 👍
Saw the lunch set promo ($39 for 2) and decided to settle our meal here. Nice and quiet ambience. The free flow braised pork rice was quite nice - similar standard to some of the specialty stores selling outside so it was quite worth it. Furthermore, you could ask for pork trotter and tofu refill for the spicy soup. The fruits today were very sweet too and ended the meal with ice-cream. Oh ya, you would be given something like calpris slushy after eating too, which was very refreshing and could clear your palate. Overall, it was very relaxing and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Can't find any fault. Food is great. Services is fast and proactive. Free flow of very good braised pork rice is a wow and the atmosphere is very cool and comfortable.
Highly recommend it inspite of the premium price, well worth it.
Service staff Ms. Amy is very friendly and helpful.
Love the Taiwan mala hotpot base! The ingredients used are really good, love the Lu rou fan too! The waiters were really attentive and added water/soup whenever it was needed. Also liked the fact that they will offer more ingredients for the mala soup (tofu and pork knuckles) free of charge hehe
If it’s ala carte here, I’ll go for the braised pork rice. Tender pork belly and thick salty braised sauce, eaten with steaming hot rice. And it’s free flow. Of course the hotpot was good too. Beautiful marbled beef slices dipped into Mala soup, or chicken broth. The cheesy tofu was some thing different. You can taste the cheese. And the tau kee (bean curd sheets) were particularly soft. Service was fantastic and I liked their decor.
Offpeak sets are really worth the money! The taiwanese style mala soup very special and different from other , come with pork trotter and tofu. Spread appetiser with $3/pax has yummylicious lu rou fan 👍
Many people visit for their hotpot, bubble tea, and free flow braised pork rice. Compared to HDL, BIAP, and Imperial, I actually didn't like CC as much. I'd visit if there was no queue, and it's also one of those hotpot places that I'd come less often.
Everything was on the oily and saltier side. We got the taiwanese mala soup base, and the green peppercorns & avocado soup base. Both soup bases were not really something you'd order to drink, and even if you did, the chicken soup was not entirely yummy.
The lu rou fan was a little over hyped in my opinion. Although part of the free flow condiments section, you'd not get much meat in the stew. The way they do it, also makes the entire condiments area a little messy and dirty feeling.
Lastly, for my visit on a Friday night, the service wasn't exactly the most energizing. Low positivity, going through motion, and very much just another day of. For a Jewel outlet, the face of tourists representing Singapore, I'd honestly expect a bit more.
All the staff here are kind and generous. I felt welcomed, and they took care of me since I was alone! They helped me order food!
Came here many times! This time round brought my dad to Cou Cou for his Birthday! My parents enjoyed the food. Thank you for the complimentary dish for his bday! We ordered the Pig Maw and chicken hotpot, it our my favourite! Pig maw and chicken was tender and soup was flavourful. Other ingredients were all fresh as usual. Good ambience. Quick and friendly service. Will definitely be back here again!
Great ambiences with a wonderful s selection of food. If there is anything to nitpick, a bigger self ion of drinks will be good
Everything is soooooo good. If you love Mala you will love it! The meat also have a great quality.
this place is ideal to have buffet, the environment, food is fresh and the service was excellent. The waiter Jun Jie was very attentive and check on us from time to time. And we didnt know birthday girl/boy will get a plate of free pork
It is not my first time here and definitely will not be my last. Not only the food quality is great, the service is impeccable. Specially thankful to the staff who served us with the name of Jun Jie. He is polite and attentive to every request we had. It was a very pleasant experience having birthday celebration with my best friends. My favourite soup here is the avocado green peppercorn which unfortunately was sold out today. It was my first time trying the mala pork trotter and the tomato soup, it was beyond delicious and the efficiency that the staff refilled the soup for us was exceptional. The complimentary tea that they served has always been my favourite. I will not hesitate to come back again even though I have to pay for the premium. It is completely worth it!
Family friendly, knowledgeable staff and great variety of side condiments. They also serve a great tasting braised pork belly rice by the condiment table so we can take what we need.
Staff Jun Jie was a pleasant waiter who explained and recommended us the choices we had before placing orders. He also followed up with our dining experience. Overall, a great place with great food.
The weekday combo is very value for money. The service is very good and attentive. The appetiser section is of good selection too. Will come back again for sure.
Loved the hotpot - especially the combination of the sweet coconut soup and salty-sour tomato soup. Service was great as well - especially Kitty who was very attentive! Great experience.
Nice food, service is good & got free ice cream free mala toufu.
The waiter and waitresses is very friendly & knowledgeable about their product, they're willing to help us answer our questions & even take order from us as we're not familiar with the QR code ordering.
We had a very pleasant dinner experian & we'll definitely come back again.
Visited Suntec outlet previously and was impressed with the food. Decided to try Jewel outlet. Service is very slow, not sure if it’s due to lack of manpower. Visited the restaurant around 11.50am and it was not crowded at all, but the braised pork in cooker has run out but no staff top up, had to inform the staff. Fried pork took more than 30 mins to serve and it came cold. Other dishes also took very long to be served. But overall I like their food is pretty good, especially pig stomach chicken soup👍🏻
Love the private atmosphere and the generosity of the food portion as well as their unique braised meat rice (got Taiwan feel)
1st time joining coucou hotpot, since i was craving for hotpot when me and my bf about to go back home. Really thank u to the staffs, specially Zin and 2 more staffs who brought us to table, and another person serve drinks to us. But i didn't got their names, I only got Zin's name. Her service was excellent and fast but not clumsy. Foods and drinks were perfect. Really really enjoyed our dinner. Will come back again!! Keep it up Zin... ♡♡♡♡
Friendly staff! Very welcoming!
Food was good, sukiyaki soup was slightly on the sweeter side, but the rest of the soup were good
Wonderful experience at Jewel outlet. Food, soup, service all good. My most preferred Hotpot outlet now
👍:
- The meat quality was really good and fresh.
- The meatballs were excellent and a must try, there was real chunks of cuttlefish in the cuttlefish balls.
- The pork intestine soup is a must order, pepery and creamy.
- Another must order is their bubble tea, really fragrant and light.
👎:
- I wasn't used to the bovine fat tomato soup base, it had a weird smell and was very different from the hdl ones.
- The yusheng was quite salty .
Love my 1st experience here! Soups were delicious, beef were fresh and really good quality, plenty of other hotpot dishes to choose from. Not cheap but definitely good value for the quality. Will be back again!
This place is a delightful spot for steamboat lovers, with a fantastic ambience to enhance the dining experience. They offer a twin soup base option for $24 and a single soup base for $38. The food here is simply delightful, with fresh fish and tender meat that will satisfy your taste buds.
Other than the price is at the higher side, I couldn’t think of any downside to skip this hotpot place. The avocado mala soup base is a refreshing choice and less spicy. The meat is fresh and good portion. Doesn’t have big and small size to choose from. Service is awesome for sure.
Beautiful place with very pretty decor; first impression is classy, high end hotpot restaurant.
Food quality is really high and the mala soup is very nice. We ordered salmon and it was really fresh and the combo meat balls were my fav.
Don't know how they do it but the place does not make you smell after the meal. Oh ... They even serve bubble tea. Tip: if you do a Google review you get a free cup 😁 .. so is this review for that - of course NOT!
Overall it's a bit high end to come regularly but for special occasions I will definitely come again
The steamboat service was truly outstanding and left us thoroughly impressed.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by your staff, who demonstrated professionalism and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. The fresh ingredients and variety of options available for the steamboat were remarkable, allowing us to customize our meal to our liking.
Though a little on the pricey side but the soup is nice and the meat is fresh. The pig stomach fish maw soup has a lot of pig stomach and chicken meat inside. The Taiwanese mala soup allows free refill of tofu and braised pig trotter!
We love the service and foods. We definitely come back again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mushroom soup was great.
Loved the crispy fried pork too.
The shrimp wanton was great as well.
The service staff were also helpful and attentive.
However, the layout of the restaurant could be better if it was more wheelchair friendly.
This is a Taiwanese hotpot restaurant, hence soup bases would be slightly different from places like HDL etc.
what I like about the place is the tea that comes free with your table. Fantastic tea. The chicken pork tripe soup was really thick and milky so it’s really an acquired taste but I do like it. Their mala was a drinkable version which is friendly. Ingredients are fresh too. Don’t have to order too much as there are items in your soup base that u can top up. There’s also free flow braised pork rice!
Definitely worth a try.
The Taiwan mala hotpot was amaze and taufu pork knuckle are refillable.it was second visit within a week.Good service as well
The Coconut Chicken soup base was too sweet. It is palatable on its own as a soup, but not very ideal for steamboat as it made all the vegetables and meat tasty like coconut.
However, the ingredients and condiments are all pretty fresh. I liked the braised pork rice. The servers are also attentive and friendly, and also gave us free mala tofu for takeaway. The atmosphere is peaceful, and is a nice hideout from the buzz in Jewel.
Fave steamboat in SG. Might not be the cheapest but their soup are really good and flavorful. Ingredients are fresh as well. Can be lack of services as compare to other steamboat joint. But staff are always smiling and helpful.
Had the promo package beef set here during late afternoon. Portion was generous and enough for 4pax. Food was fresh and the soup + condiments were delicious. Recommended to try.
Amazing hotpot place with great food and service! Laksa hotpot was great, pity it was removed from the menu. Service by Xuanxuan was extremely meticulous and made us feel like VIPs, even though we were just regular guests! Lun also patiently explained the menu to us as it was our first visit - was pleasantly surprised at the excellent service overall. Free kids meal was yummy too (as reviewed by the kids)! Last but not least, we LOVE the special Pu Er and Jasmine milk teas.
Third visit here and service remains top-notched. Weekdays crowds are more manageable and it’s certainly more pleasant. Tried their coconut chicken soup base this time and it’s really authentic! Also, great service as usual. Sign up for their membership and get a free milk tea!
Had the $39 lunch deal for 2 pax. Comes with soup base 2 meat, 1 seafood paste, 1 carb and veg platter. Additional $3.90 for condiments, fruits and braised pork rice. Ended off with dessert (ice cream and shaved ice) Service is very good and food was also good. Server was going around asking if we wanted free refill for beancurd and pork leg for the mala soup base. Very worth the price paid. Def will come back again.
the service is excellent and the food is nice.
Thank you Jun Jie and Zin for the wonderful service, we really had a great time☺️
First time having meal in CouCou hotpot and the soups are delicious. The soup base is nice to the extend that we don’t really need to dip the foods to the sauces.
The service are also top tier and would come back again.
Ok. Coucou is so expensive for two people, because the cheapest single soup base you can get is like $37 before GST. We genuinely ordered not a lot (chicken, prawny things, vegetables) and it came out to be $60+ per person. But the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great. It was so expensive I knew that they’d have charging ports inside and they did. Food was good though!! I would come back here but with more people to split costs
We’ve always been curious about the massive crowds & 5 star reviews — happy to say our visit matches the fab opinions.
1) Soup base:
- Taiwan mala had a layer of oil but tasted nothing like that, instead it was deeply flavourful, with hints of herbs and an enjoyable level of spice. Ok even for those who can’t take the heat.
- Mushroom was way lighter, you can’t taste it after something heavy like mala, but it was equally delicious.
- The amazing thing: even after adding the main 汤底 to top up — both broths did not dilute and tasted amazing still.
2) Pick your ingredients. I’ll recommend
- Pork belly
- 3 coloured noodles (one of the best ramen I’ve eaten)
- basa fish (super fresh)
- Luncheon meat is unlike the canned version almost seems like it has a blend of real meat inside?
- Mashed prawn paste came recommended, but I’d pass this.
3) Tips
- Ordering the Taiwanese style spicy soup grants you a free flow of tau kua and pork trotter
- don’t forget the spice station, which includes free flow braised pork rice (卤肉饭) and really yummy spicy clams. They may be free, but expertly marinated. Don’t miss this!
- leave a review to get a complimentary Da Hong Pao bubble tea. Even without, I would.
- RSVP a must.
- best service award goes to Tommy (front desk) & Michael. Intuitive, knows their stuff, friendly to a fault. Thanks Cou Cou team!
We got the 109 dollar beef set which was super worth it. Meat was of great quality and vegetables were of sizeable portion. One small issue was the service was too good.
Braised pork rice is a must try. Would definitely come back when I’m hungrier.
We dined here before departing Singapore. Our waiter Jun Jie had excellent customer service helping us with our menu, food options and how to cook. The food was delicious, our first time having hot pot and we loved it. We loved the tomato and beef bone soup base with all the extras. Would highly recommend. Thanks again Jun and the rest of the team.
Very fast service, nice ambience and cool setting. Ordered the vegetable platter, pork ball, pork collar, 3 colors noodles and konjac.
Best to reserve your table early. And do a google review for a free milk tea.
The whole experience at Cou Cou was fantastic! The service was good, the ambience was fantastic and the food was even better!
Tried many cuts of meats, meatballs with 2 kinds of soup (tomato & pork tribe soup). Highly recommend the pork tribe soup, there were lots of pig stomach inside 😋.
The meat is of high quality. Pricing wise, is slightly expensive but worth it (around $220 for 4 pax). The portion size for each dish is just nice. A must try is the beef ball and pork ball... The balls are so good!
For $4.50 per pax, you can get free flow of sauces, appetizers, fruits and more. Many other similar places have these, however, they even have braised pork belly for you! -- MUST TRY!
Halfway through our meal, the waiter came and offered each of us a free small glass of winter melon & lemon ice blended drink. It rly helped to cool us down. 👍👍👍
NOTE! Please don't buy Chinese cabbage if you want to eat them... The bottom of the meat comes with a lot of Chinese cabbage...
Place felt posh moment we entered.
Loved the food presentation and taste. I liked the pig stomach soup base better than the mushroom one.
The braised pork rice at the condiments section is worth it!
Service and food quality surpass my expectations. Would like to commend manager/team lead Andy for his amazing service. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back soon!
Been to their Suntec outlet initially and it wasn’t really a good experience, but this outlet at Jewel is vastly different. The level of service here is much better, and the staffs are very attentive and helpful! Especially one of the older uncle working there was extremely friendly and made the whole experience wonderful. Food was good, and the coconut chicken soup was amazing, especially if you add all the vegetables inside!! This time round it was much better and made me feel that my money was well spent! I think the Suntec outlet needs to learn a thing or two from their Jewel counterpart! I look forward to their new outlet in i12 Katong which is so much closer to home! Great job!
Green pepper avocado soup is superb, not cloying. Thoughtful service, putting customers 1st. Love the slushy lime which refreshed our palette. Even the appetizers are tasty. The food presentation was an eye feast. Wow wow all the way!
Love the coconut soup base. Tasty and clean. Choices on the menu was well organized . You can go for a luxurious combination or choose wisely if you are on a budget. We luv the soup so much that we took the balance home and left the ingredients l.
Great service from all staff esp Jun Jie. Cosy ambience, excellent food. Yummy! We will definitely come back again.
Atmosphere is definitely good, food is very fresh, staff is friendly. Not a bad thing but the scanned menu only available in chinese, i can read chinese, only thinking for those who cant, they have to order manually with the server.
Plating was colourful and vibrant similar to the atmosphere, and lights are a little dimmed for ambience. Meat and vegetable looks and tasted fresh! Service is still behind the infamous HDL as the crew are not that proactive.
The environment is nice and atmospheric, and it feels good. If you want to eat hot pot, but also want delicious food and good service, this hot pot restaurant should be the first choice near the changi airport area , absolutely praise. Good for family gathering.
Pros:
- fresh food
- decent variety in condiments
- can tell it has significantly lesser msg than HDL haha
- very good service, staff was attentive and professional
- at the 30mins interval, there was citrus coconut juice provided
Cons:
- kinda odd for one survey QR code to require 2 reviews
- dim restaurant lighting, not a fan 😂
the fruits are really sweet and there is braised pork rice
The service is top notch. Staff is very polite and attentive to our needs. The bubble tea is good and filling. Food quality is excellent and the presentation of the food is well prepared. Definitely worth a revisit.
Have always enjoyed eating at Coucou hotpot! Quality food in a nice environment! Would have given 5 stars for service if we were not rejected for asking for another small cup of the lime slushie. Thankfully, manager Jun Jie managed to get us another cup after we asked him! Great service recovery on his part :)
Great food with good service as usual, highly recommend.
We try this restaurant and find it so delicious...the price and quality of food is worthy. At first we think it's expensive, but after we see the portion, taste and service...it's worth the money. Try what they recommend and you won't regret it.
Nice coconut soup base. Waitress are police and helpful to let us know what are the ingredients inside the soup base so that we do not need to order extra (eg. sweet corn). Nice ambiance as well. Kids friendly with free kids meal!
I recently dined at Cou Cou Hotpot and was thoroughly impressed! The food quality was exceptional - the broth was rich and flavorful, and the ingredients were fresh and generous.
But what truly made our experience stand out was the friendly and attentive service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and ensured that our hotpot was always filled and our glasses were always full.
Overall, I highly recommend Cou Cou Hotpot for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. We can't wait to come back!
Truly a nice Taiwanese style hotpot with a lot of the ingredients from Taiwan! The tomato broth is so flavorful with bovine-infused taste. The dishes were so beautifully presented and fresh too. And really love the bubble tea! Generous portion of milk tea and soft pearls. Would definitely come back again 🍲
Amazing food and pretty good service. Kids gets kids meal so that you don't have to worry about not able to order your favorite spicy soup base.
Food was flavourful and the soup was really tasty especially the pork maw soup. They provided free refills of the same soup hence it was constantly thick instead of being diluted and gladly helped us take away the food when we couldnt finish including the soup. Overall a fantastic experience and would come back again!
Good food and great service! Shu Qian, service crew, was very polite and provided us with good customer service (:
Staff was really friendly. Food was good. Soup and certain items like tofu can be refilled. We were given complimentary ice cream and drinks. Great experience!
First time visitng the Jewel outlet. My usual spot is the one at Suntec. Food quality as expected is very good. Service is excellent as well. Less crowded and a more relaxed dining experience. A very good place to enjoy a long lunch if you have time to spare.
Exemplary food and service
Friendly staff and comfortable environment
Celebrated my son’s birthday with meal at Cou Cou new outlet at Jewel and it’s a wonderful experience. Unlike other places where condiments are charged separately and limited, cou cou offer unlimited servings of lu rou fan (滷肉飯) and appetisers. Great ambience and service too!
New favourite hotpot place in Singapore. The mala is superior to any other branded restaurants you can have tried. Service level isn't as attentive as you might be expecting when you compare it but it's good enough.
Fresh ingredients, delicious soup. Unfortunately no pork bone soup available at Jewel outlet, which we are a tad disappointed as we heard good reviews about that soup base. Overall, will recommend
Soup was incredibly good, we had the taiwan mala and pig stomach chicken soup. The condiment station was impeccable as well, the 卤肉饭 and spicy mushroom is so good that my friends and I had 5 bowls. Definitely a must try! 👍🏻 👍🏻
We were served by Amy, who was warm and nice.
I fell in love with it the first time I ate it! I really like their spicy pot, braised pig trotters, and the most important thing is unlimited refills of pig trotters, and the waiter took the initiative to refill them!
I also got free ice cream and lemon smoothie, which I love so much. The milk tea is also delicious. Now I have an offer of three cups for only 💲9!
The most important thing is that the service is great, no worse than a certain restaurant. Hahaha, the guy who served our table is Junjie. He is kind-hearted and very patient!
For my first meal back in Singapore, I didn’t know what to eat and chose the nearby coucou. It was my first time eating it and I didn’t expect it to be a great experience!
· Dishes: We ordered one portion each of pork, beef and sheep. The quality of each meat was very good and the portion was large. Neither of us could finish it;
· The bottom of the pot: The bottom of the pot is spicy Sichuan, which contains pig trotters and tofu. There is a lot of it, and the taste is quite spicy, which is delicious.
· Snack table: The most surprising thing is that the 3.9 snack table has a rich variety and the quality is guaranteed. The watermelon is particularly sweet, and there is also braised pork rice that can be refilled for free;
· Service: I don’t bother you all the time, but I like it very proactively when needed (adding water); and very polite~
· Benefits: New users who register as members can receive a cup of signature pearl milk tea; each table also receives a smoothie to relieve fatigue, and ice cream after eating.
The whole dining experience was very good ~ I will come again!
The food is very fresh. I really like their Taiwanese spicy soup. The service is also very good 👍🏻
The hotpot is really good! The pot bottom is rich and the ingredients are fresh, especially the lamb shoulder and shrimp paste are super delicious. The service is attentive, the snacks and fruit tea are also great points, the environment is clean and comfortable, it is definitely worth coming again!
If you like vine pepper~ you must come! Love it so much 😊
Hello~ Boss: Do you dare to discount the price by 20% every day? 😄
The ingredients are fresh, the presentation is high-end, and the service is friendly. It is a good place for chatting and dining.
Come check in every now and then, just for the high-quality Taiwanese taste! There is a self-service bar, unlimited supply of pig's feet, plus free drinks, smoothies and desserts. Every time you come, you only need to order the hot pot and meat platter and you will be so full! Awesome!
It was my first time to try hot pot, and it felt like I was back in Taiwan in a second. It would be even better if it had duck blood! The Taiwanese spicy pot base is a must-try!
There are many types of dishes and the portions are OK. I will come back!
I have to stand up and applaud this hotpot! I would like to add that I am a pure Sichuanese who eats hotpot several times a week. It is really delicious and the service is very good. The staff is also very handsome and considerate.
The service attitude is good, the soup base is rich and the dishes are rich, the dining environment is quiet and the lights are dimmed, which makes people feel comfortable. It is very noise-reducing. The overall professionalism is good. I will keep repurchasing.
The food and soup-base were great and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
The ambiance was great and relaxing.
Overall, wonderful dinning experience! Highly recommended!
Restaurant is very nice, clean, have a wow factor when walking into the restaurant. Staff is polite and make good recommendation. Food and soup are really nice, recommend the cod fish. Yummy
