Reviews of Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen
Reunion dinner at this outlet.
Food that up to standard: Yu Sheng and Prawn with Broccoli only.
Dessert really speechless.
Service: Restaurant are full, staff still very attentive to each table's request, 5 star for the service portion.
As you can see from my photos, menu price is consider average for a Chinese restaurant. They have wide variety of dishes and it is quite nice for most dishes.
Get discount by becoming their member and also download “Fraser” shopping mall apps to consolidate all points and redeem for something in future.
Overall great experience and they 🚫do not have any lunch break unlike some Chinese restaurant they will close from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, this CJK runs throughout the operating timing, good for diners!
Dinner queue about 30 minutes. It is crowded with dinners. Was told that dimsum and porridge are unavailable. A little disappointed and ordered other dishes... Requested to serve dishes until claypot rice ready which required at least 30 minutes which we are OK. However the French beans was served 10 minutes and it was cold by the time claypot rice is out. Room for improvement...
Dimsum here is very delicious
Able to fix 10+ pax
Have been visiting this outlet for years and the standard is always there, from food to the service is always 100%. Love the dim sum and duck! Tried other outlet but cwp is still the best! :)
Some hits and miss, some foods are great.
Recommend the premium seafood congee. Dont try the flaming roast duck or any tilapia fish. The flaming roast duck is only good aesthetically. The meat was tough and lean, it has bitter aftertaste and the sauce is too salty. I walked out of the restaurant with the tilapia 90% not eaten and duck 75% not eaten. The tilapia is not the restraunts' fault, however. I have never really tried it, it has a pungent mud taste. The sauce for the fish is not well cooked though.
Nice.. Specialty the dishes. You will able taste it when you eat. Hmmm...
Like TiR Tien on Facebook and IG.
Decent service
Average dim sum
Would not order noodles again
Was told there is no dimsum after 6.30pm on a Friday night (not sure is it everyday no dimsum after 6.30pm?)
Ordered 辣子鸡(deep fried sze chuan chicken with dried chili n peppercorn),猪油渣拌饭 (pork lard on rice),红油抄手拉面(pork dumpling with homemade chilli vinegrette la mian),叉烧酥(BBQ pork pastry),冰火菠萝包(mini bolo bun with butter).
Even though they say no dimsum after 6.30pm, there was leftover char siew soh and bolo buns, so we ordered them. Char siew soh is still nice but I would give the polo buns a miss. They didn't reheat the buns, so no 冰火effect anymore. The mains were fine, but portions were too small for the price.
Also ordered dessert (mango sago, barley Gingko) but I would advise that dessert budget be spent elsewhere as the dessert was so-so.
Spent a total of $75.10
Receipt for Ur reference ~
Big location and branch with lots of seating options and configurations to host groups of 2 until 10+. Same consistently that you can come to expect of Crystal Jade brand
our go to location for nice dim sum and congee.
Quite disappointed with the Dim Sum. Congee was rice gruel.. used a blender to make it fine instead of boiling for a long time. Selection of Dim Sum very limited. The carrot cake has no carrot and cannot taste the dried shrimps and was too soft and sticky. Chee Cheong fun not in the menu.. seems like using short cuts to cook and no traditional recipes. Bad food and high price.
Seems to have dropped for their standards. Not sure if it could be due to Covid-19 and short of manpower. Went with my family for lunch. Waiting time is ok since due to the regulations.
Food wise standards have dropped in this outlet. Ordered a bowl of noodle for myself and other items for my family. Everything arrives except my noodles, even after my family is finishing up. Ask the nearby staff, she said that it might be out and sitting there but not served and offered to serve it.
Pretty appalled that if the food is sitting around for 10mins, they will still served to customer? Decided to cancel the order but she got another staff to check And realised it is out. Asked if I still want it but I decided to cancel since the noodle has been sitting out for not sure how long.
Other items are ok but not the custard buns. It was not as before and 1 bite the custard flows out from everywhere. 1st time it happen. Not sure if it is only this outlet overall.
Will still go to other outlet but not this outlet, my favourite outlet are in Vivo city. Great service and very attentive staff there.
the food is not bad but they purposely print out new menu for CNY and the prices are ridiculous
Generally good experience, though come prepared to queue during mealtimes. The char siew bun came to us partially soggy, but the custard buns were nice, hot and oozy.
Tim Sum is warm and tasty.Roasted duck meat is juicy and skin crispy.
Great food & Service
I loved the porridge, especially the seafood porridge. It's really sweet.
Prompt service as usual. The staff are very warm and welcoming. Food is great too, very flavorful. Taste very much like home cooked food.
Crystal Jade at Causeway point always provide the best in class service & food qualify. It would never disappointed me! Definately will come back!
Good Chinese food. Best porridge. One of the better Chinese restaurants around.
Food standard is good as always. Staff service is friendly and accommodating. Return customer.
Celebrated wife's birthday. Loved it. 😊
The fried rice has reduced standards because it no longer taste as good. Portions are small.
Restaurants (煮炒 Stirred fried place) in the HDB with similar dishes does it better with 1/3 of the price.
Nice cozy place for meal.
Do check out their date when they changed their menu. 1 week before that alot of dishes in the old menu will be unavailable.
All dishes is beyond my expectations, 5 star, price on the high side
Enjoyed their new menu. Looking forward to try all the new dishes.
Like the dimsum and service. Crab meat egg white fried rice a bit blant.
Nice place with good food . Great for family
Nice place, yummy food, staff are friendly even toward handicapped. 😍
Don't bother ordering white rice. It's enough for kids only.
It is a place to go, when I want to eat Chinese food but lazy to travel to town;)
Chinese New year lunch. Very good service and food.
Dim sim are nice but price not economical
Food ok, environment cozy.
Food is wonderful but expensive
Good food
Good fried rice
It's been a long time since I visited. The new menu has chicken rice casserole, which tastes great. The chicken is very smooth and has the aroma of crispy rice.
If you are very hungry, it is recommended to order some snacks because the waiting time for the casserole rice is close to 30 minutes.
I feel that many restaurants are short of manpower, and the service staff are doing their best to provide good service. Even though it is not a weekend, it is quite crowded during lunch time.
I went a little late in the evening and there were no snacks left. The clerk said they would be gone after 6:30🥲There was only this pineapple bun. The biggest reward of this meal is that asparagus is delicious. My family has been eating asparagus recently.
I have been eating there for many years, but I haven’t been here for a while. The familiar waiters are no longer here. The service and food standards have dropped, maybe because of lack of manpower!
The chef in the kitchen is very good and entertains a lot, but there is still room for improvement.
The children's fried rice was a little oily, but other food was good, and the service was great!
The price is a bit expensive and the taste is too salty
