Reviews of Eggslut Scotts Square
I decided to buy the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich today after first spotting the shop while overseas to go.
I can confirm the burger tasted brilliant, not too strong and all the flavours worked together with only the orange egg yoke being a little runny and making a little mess which for an otherwise an overall satisfactory burger, will come here again.
Wait time was very quick too, granted it wasn't too busy when I visited though.
The food at EggSlut is undeniably tasty, especially if you're a fan of egg-centric dishes. However, the price feels a bit steep for the portion sizes. While the quality is better than your average fast-food chain, you might find a comparable experience at a place like McDonald's, aside from the more polished, trendy ambiance EggSlut offers.
That said, it’s worth giving this spot a try at least once, especially for their signature sandwiches. But for me, it wouldn’t be a regular go-to for casual meetups with friends, primarily due to the pricing. It's more of an occasional indulgence.
Ordered eggslut on grab delivery, had the Fairfax sandwich and truffle hash browns. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the delivery packaging as they put my food in a foam foil packaging before putting it into the brown carry bag so my food was still warm when it came! Kudos to the service for that.
For the sandwich, the scrambled eggs were creamy and slightly runny, and the chicken sausage I added was not too salty, but I do personally prefer the taste of McDonald’s breakfast sausage instead.
For the truffle hash browns, they were a little over browned and I could taste a slight burnt taste to them- truffle flavour and rosemary flavour didn’t really stand out enough to elevate the hash brown taste.
Have been coming here since they opened , and since 2021 , their food has been nothing short of amazing. What stands out is that the quality is consistent. Bacon egg & cheese sandwich is my go-to, and the bacon is done with a crisp that retains its juiciness unlike anything I’ve ever had anywhere else. You gotta try it to believe it. Side salad makes eating vegetable a surprisingly pleasant experience.
The truffle hashbrown (with duck fat, truffle and rosemary salt) is a must order! Personally I also love the arugula salad. You either love or hate this vegetable lol. I have always ordered Fairfax sandwich on the 3 occasions I have been here. Be warned that the scrambled egg in the burger is very rich (you might either love or hate it as well) and rather messy to handle. The good news is there is an automated hand washing machine in the store itself. You can run to the machine and wash your hands if you mess up ;). Another thing I like is that it opens at 8am, it is great for early riser like myself. I have a strong preference for the Scotts Square outlet due to the assessibilitty and ambience.
The Fairfax sandwich was decent, with room for improvement. It's a good place for a quick meal as it's not crowded on weekdays.
First time trying it.
The burger is great for value especially for the double beef cheese burger.
The beef Pattie’s are really juicy and fresh. The egg within is well cooked sunny side up and the egg yolk will flow down.
The side dish came with Kale salad and it’s a great portion.
For specialised house cold brew is good too.
The chilli crab burger is a little over priced as it only has very little crab meat and the remaining are the scrambled eggs.
Easy ordering process however long waiting time.
Second time to try — didn’t enjoy the first time and decided to give it another chance. Ordered Fairfax then added bacon this time, which helped to balance the flavors. Not bad but very little caramelized onions compared to the photo. :(
Ordered Fairfax sandwich $12 + Hot Floral Chamomile tea $5.50.
After tried the sandwich, the brioche bun is soft, warm & puffy, the scrambled eggs is soft but not flavourful. For every bite, the scrambled eggs kept falling off or dripping sauce, ended up quite messy with fallen scrambled eggs. I don't feel worth the value for this sandwich. I like the floral chamomile tea, maybe have slight mint taste.
Really good, fluffy and delicious eggs. The bacon was nice ans crispy.
Nice ambience, fast service, awesome food. Tried the truffle burger and added beef patty. Eggs were delicious. Also tried the common man roaster coffee which was not bad. The bar top seats are my go to place for a quiet, chill time lunch within the CBD. Will come again to patronise
The food standard has dropped a lot since they first open.
Burgers were decent, eggs are still what they do best. Bacons were extremely salty.
Hash browns are a must try. However some seems overcook as they were a little hard
Tried this outlet with my friend.
Service was acceptable. Food was served fast too.
Mostly were eggs related food items. A must try for eggs lovers.
New on the menu- truffles with egg.
Do find the hash brown too oily to my likings.
Overall still enjoyed the meal there.
Will definitely go again soon.
Was having my solo weekday lunch, no queue.
A bit pricey, but the food portion is big, especially the sandwich.
I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich and upgraded to scrambled egg. Also, ordered the side - truffles hash browns.
I love the truffles hash browns but not a fan of the sandwich because it’s too salty.
Was here on a Saturday afternoon and only queued for around 20mins. Ordered the Fairfax and Bacon,Eggs and Cheese burger. The scrambled egg was well made! Personally, i felt that the fairfax burger was better. Would have been perfect if their buns were more toasted. Got their truffle hash as sides too but it was a little too salty to my liking.
Actually this is NOT worth the hype. Go there once if you curious to try but actually nothing great lah.
Ordered the cheese burger $13.50 and truffle hash browns $4.50. There’s no GST or service charge. Well because there’s so service. It’s like a fast food joint or food court.
Order at the counter then get a beeper, find your own table and wait until the beeper rings. Pick up your food, paper plates and plastic utensils then bring your food to your table.
Nothing much to say about atmosphere. It’s gourmet fast food restaurant.
The brioche bread is thick, so you’ll be full on bread. But frankly, I found the egg wash on the top of the bread very fishy. Maybe it wasn’t very fresh when the egg wash was applied onto the buns, so with every bite it just tasted fishy.
The burger patty was very thin and actually flavorless. The filling of the burger is actually lackluster. Very little caramelized onions. The egg is ok, runny egg yolk, makes for very messy dining. Not very flavorful cheese too. Unmemorable and I just ate it yesterday! Maybe the fishy smelling brioche bread was overwhelming.
The truffle hash browns were greasy. Not too much truffle aroma but salty and oily. There’s 6 pieces in my order. It’s nice and crispy but a bit too greasy for one person to eat 6 pieces.
The other popular item on the menu which I was recommended to try was the Fairfax with scrambled eggs and cheese. At $12 it’s really pricey. The Ingredients aren’t difficult to buy in a supermarket. Well, one can argue, skill is required to make it but I think we’re overpaying for branding.
I went there just to see what’s the hype and I must say I’m not impressed. Gave this place a neutral scoring because it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good.
Came to try with an open mind as often times overseas branches of chains might taste different. The line was faster than expected. Came on a Sunday evening for dinner and thought will need to wait for an hour but we were in within 40min.
We ordered the Fairfax burger. I wanted to add avocado but that was sold out so topped up with bacon. Didn’t regret this decision. Bun was soft, the eggs and bacon were done right, topped with the mayo. Definitely a comfort burger I will come for in the future.
Staff service is great too! Very pleasant and good experience.
If you don’t mind the queue and pricey tag, the food taste goods. The bun is unique and fluffy and the eggs are nice. However, it is not cheap. You can pay similar price for a nice brunch place. It is worth a try but don’t expect too much per the hype the store receives so that you can enjoy the meal. ;)
The have very little things on their menu, but thankfully they make them very well. The price is abit high but likely due to their location which is very centralised in Singapore
Almost no queue in the early morning. Order was done at the entrance. Ordered cheese burger, Fairfax sandwich, truffle hash brown and ice black coffee. Serving size was above average. One burger is probably more than enough for breakfast. The buns were fluffy, meat patty was juicy and tender. Could not ask for more for a cheese burger. Fairfax sandwich highlight was the sriracha mayo, otherwise, it was just a scrambled egg sandwich. Hash brown was crispy and truffle was not too strong. Cold coffee was strong.
Food is pretty good, hashbrowns are a must order!
Food: ordered the fairfax with beef, bacon sandwich and the hashbrowns. First of all, amazing hashbrowns. It is a solid 5/5 must eat and order. The fairfax with beef was nice also, however I do feel it can be quite jelat. Good to share. Bacon sandwich is quite good also, no complains on that. Drinks wise, the OK and cold brew was fine, nothing spectacular.
Service: service was fine, got the food pretty fast.
Price: For a burger starting at 12, it's kinda priced between fast food and restaurant. However, for the place/ambience, it feels more like a casual place that I think it is a tad expensive. Two burgers and two drinks was 44, so expect about 20+ per pax.
Environment: decent decor, but depending on where you sit, photos you take will be different.
Overall, I think it's quite controversial. People have different thoughts about the place, so do your own research and confirmation by trying it at least once.
A highly anticipated and over-hyped crowd quickly turned my experience into a lukewarm one.
I, for one, didn't like the fairfax. The eggs were tasty and the brioche buns were done to perfection, but it's essentially eggs and bun. I personally thought the bacon, egg and cheese was a better choice. Its definitely subjective.
The hashbrowns were quite good though, really crisp on the outside! However, there was no hint of truffle, not even a little, and that was extremely disappointing.
The buttermilk biscuits were essentially scones... Terrible, really.
Came here twice for the egg sandwiches, both times to go. There is no queue if you go on a weekday, not sure if there is still a long queue on the weekends. Price is on the steep side for an egg sandwich, if you're really into eggs I suppose you'd enjoy it but I found it a bit too monotonous after a while.
I've tried the egg salad and the Fairfax which is their signature sandwich. I'd recommend the Fairfax, the scrambled eggs are runny and piquant and go well with the toasted brioche bun. The egg salad sandwich is COLD but I guess that's how egg salad is 😄 - the arugula leaves give it a nice bite though, and it is definitely less jelat than the Fairfax.
The place actually is much nicer and family friendly than the name 😀 usually we avoid the place at the sight of long queues and also thinking only eggs are available there but the menu was quite decent and good value for money with delicious choices extending beyond cage free eggs ! Tried the Gaucho Sandwich with seared Wagyu tri-strip steak and Fairfax sandwich ! Both were delicious! Tried their Chamomile tea also and was pleasantly surprised at the good quality! All came well presented in biodegradable paper packs ! The interiors and bright and cheerful with a fairly spartan functional design and lay out ! The staff was friendly and very attentive! Waiting time for the food was around 6 minutes ! Located at the cardinal position at Scott’s Square and orchard road can be a great choice for breakfast as well ! Will surely visit again to try out the other dishes and the coffee !
We tried the Fairfax and the Eggs and Bacon choices and they were both cooked to perfection. The brioche buns were also soft, fluffy with generous amounts of butter to go with it. Overall a wholesome experience making this a regular breakfast place for me.
Food is good, mostly self service so nothing much to say about that. Cleanliness though could be improved, you can tell once the hype died down their cleanliness became lackluster probably due to the reduction manpower.
In any case, i do believe that Eggslut will be exiting the Singapore market very soon, the telltale signs are sadly obvious. It did survive much longer than i thought it would though, so kudos to that. Will definitely be missing the soy chicken burger.
Good food
Ordered the double cheeseburger and the scrambled egg burger
They are nice in their own way. Scrambled egg was not excellent but well done
Double cheeseburger was filling as a big eater, the sunny side egg was well done, but burger patty a tad dry.
Truffle hash browns is a unique change to the fries variants we comminyl see. Right amount of truffle used. Apparently cooked with duck fat too.
Can't go wrong with the common man coffee.
Nonetheless worth trying!
Come early to beat the queue
Buns were soft and pretty fluffy. Bring lotsa wet wipes as their namesake precedes them. The eggs are super runny. Tried the fair fax, sausage egg and cheese and the gaucho. All 3 were decent. The hash browns were fried on the spot hence hot and crispy. Nothing much to shout about. Biscuit pretty decent. Would love to have it with some blueberry or strawberry jam apart from the butter they provided as it was a tad bland.
Prices are decent within the $12 range for a sandwich to $27 for the gaucho. Can try, if u pass by.
Creamy delicious eggs in the Fairfax sandwich paired with fresh OJ, this is the new brunch spot on the block! Absolutely tasty sandwiches with some healthier alternatives for those who want them. Service is fast! Definitely worth going back for
Came here on 2 different occasions.
Food was great! Very tasty and hearty! The chocolate chip cookie could have been more moist. it is definitely towards the pricey side. Otherwise, enjoyed myself very much.
Shout out to Nicholas for his excellent service!
ordered their specialty meny, cheeseburger, and orange juice
all good!
The bacon-egg-cheese is basically a bougie version of the McDonalds bacon egg mcmuffin - so, obviously, I love it. On my “healthier” days here, I go for the double cheeseburger but change my buns to a salad. Their truffle hash browns slap so always go for that as a side. The venue has thankfully become quieter since it’s opening so it’s fairly to get a table even during lunch hours nowadays.
Was here at 8.30am on a Tuesday morning so there was no Q, ample seating. However as we got to 9.45 onwards the place was filling up.
Was told by friends that weekends have long Q’s.
I guess I understand why .. it was an enjoyable meal. The sandwiches were really good, we were a party of 4 and order 4 different choices and they were all yummy.
Tried the chilli crab and scrambled eggs brioche burger, which is a collaboration between eggslut and jumbo seafood. Taste was quite decent but it was a bit spicy for me. Still the orange juice is so fresh and refreshing especially for a weekend brunch.
The sandwiches are pretty nice. Ordered truffle harsh brown as well, but found it quite salty. The coffee ... the coffee can really be improved. Tastes like mac's coffee.
Cashier missed out on one of our order, hence the 3 stars for service.
Otherwise, we love that this place opens early and think this is overall a nice breakfast hangout place
So much hype about this first outlet….but was not impress at all. It’s just another fast food joint that charges extremely high price for simple burger 🍔 sandwich.
I had the Bacon Egg & cheese & the bacon was sooooo salty, I could hardly finish it. The sunny side up egg was not bad as the yolk oozes out when you bite into it. My wife had the egg & salad sandwich which was quite a big portion.
My son liked his sausage egg & cheese but he said, had tried better. Haha
Coffee was average.
3 star cos of the extremely salty bacon, otherwise will be 4 star.
Decent sandwiches but wish they had a hash brown option without the truffle oil- it's overpowering and underwhelming. The staff are pleasant. The chairs were all filthy though, every single one along the window, opt for a bench and table/booth.
[Horrendous queue management]
On a second day of opening. My accompany arrived at 1045 am and we haven't eaten at till 1230 pm it was because they give priority to the take away people who arrived 1 hour later.
So the people who order take away can eat first than the people who waited 1 hour plus. We finally got a seat at 12 noon and only able to order at noon, received drinks at 1215 pm. Then later they said it would take 30 min more. At 1230 pm the cashier said some people who placed take away order in bulk just now so it will take another 30 min.
Others managed take away and dining in well when they first opened. I think they should either separate the queue for a priority or give out time stamp as soon as you arrived.
The cheese burger was nicer for my lunch preference than the egg omelet burger which is better for breakfast or vegetarians. The hash brown has a bit of chicken smell so I am not sure if they use the same oil to fry some chicken or meat for potatoes?
They shouldn't prioritize the orders people who came 1 hour later. Or else they should block bulk orders at the minimum. Till then we won't visit again
Eggslut Singapore’s opening week, so prepare to be eggs-saulted with these fluffy sandwiches on your timeline, or for queues if you’re headed down.
Best of the lot IMHO is their ⭐️Fairfax ($12). Generous and creamy, rich scrambled eggs, layered with caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, a sprinkling of chives and a delicious, mildly spicy sriracha mayo. Stuffed between pillowy, soft-but-not-soggy brioche buns.
Other noteworthy items include their duck fat-fried ⭐️Truffle Hashbrowns ($4.50); their cheeky ⭐️’Slut’ ($11) of coddled eggs with potato purée, meant to be stirred and enjoyed with thin slices of crisp baguette; and their classic house-made ⭐️Buttermilk Biscuit ($6).
There’s also a ⭐️Gaucho ($23) for those who prefer something heftier. Seared wagyu tri-tip steak on over medium egg with chimichurri sauce.
Eggslut officially opens 11am, 9 Sept 2021 at Scott’s Square.
We liked the fairfax sandwich more than the bacon, egg & cheese (bacon could be less crunchy). Honey milk biscuit is overpriced and nothing special, it’s also a bit salty. It looks tempting but just save your money. It’s also very cold inside so the food was no longer warm when it reached our table.
Decided to try EggSlut after a long while as every time went i use to work in orchard area i would always see a long line of people queuing to get into the place. I ordered the regular meal which consist of a Bacon, egg & Cheese sandwich, Salted Chocolate, Chip cookie and a can of Coke which cost me $20
The BEC sandwich i ordered i felt you can’t really taste the egg at all upon biting onto the sandwich mainly what you are tasting was the bacon and the bun but i could be wrong the egg was rlly runny with the yolk just dripping down at the bottom of the wrapper overall if you ask me if i would ordered this again i would say not probably as its not worth it and its the same for the chocolate chip cookie as you are just paying for a large size chocolate chip cookie with some salt on it personally i can also do that by buying a chocolate chip cookie and sprinkling some salt on it.
Overall my experience eating here was alright nothing that special about EggSlut itself other than the staff here are very friendly and the view you get to see out from the place.
Located in the ground floor corner unit of Scott’s square.
The venue is like @shake shack, spaceous clean.
The price range is from 12 dollars -27 dollars only
In the picture i ordered bacon, egg and cheese and second burger sausage, egg and cheese. The buns are soft and tasty. To balance the food i ordered side salad made of argula and cheese, it was drizzled with vinaigrette.
They also serve cold / hot coffee and carbonated drinks.
If you want to eat sandwiches then this place is where to go.
A gooey messy "affair"! Q in the rain for about 20mins even though it was already 1ish pm. Place is big and the moment we enter, it's the ordering n cooking station. Flr staffs were kinda slow to clean up & I meant wiping the tables, can see tissues on the flr and slightly dirty tables but fantastic that most ppl cleared their own tray. I ordered the chicken sausage, cheese and egg ($12) and my colleague ordered the "cheeseburger" single($13). The brioche bun is soft and pillowy (a little oily though but I lurve butter so it's OK for me).. Warning, be real careful when u bite into it as the yolk will ooze out when u least expected! I got it all over my hand n shorts!
The sausage is a patty like those in M but taste better.. hahaha.. the combination is good! We also ordered the buttermilk biscuits($6) which were so dry that we dose it w the butterspread & coffee! Wouldn't recommend. The harshbrowns($4.5).. though it said its truffle but I can't smell it or they forgot to add it in (lucky me!) It's as good as the ones in BK! Sorry for comparing it but becoz both are bite size n the taste is similar! Overall, Eggslut is good to try out.
Oh ya..my colleague did comment that the egg has no egg smell?! Maybe not when we were eating it but it sure stay on my hands for a long time despite washing a few times!
I was having FAIRFAX SANDWICH + Beef Patty ($12 + $4)
👉🏻Myself felts that add-ons beef Patty was good to balance out the overall taste. However , the bottom part of the bun was slightly dry. Scrambled eggs can be more flavourful and creamy as well.
.
The specialty cold brew ($7) was good but price was on the high side.
.
Overall: 7/10
Heard about this place many times. Our first time there the queue was too long so decided not to queue. Second time we went early for lunch (before 12pm) and still had to queue for 15 min. Had a couple of sides and 2 sandwiches. The sandwiches are good! Especially the scrambled egg one. Don’t mind going back again to try more of the sandwiches!
If you love eggs, come here. There’s just something about how they do their eggs. The fluffy brioche goes really well with the equally fluffy scrambled eggs. A tad pricey if you think “it’s just eggs” but for the taste you get…it’s def more than just eggs. You pay for what you get 😄
A lot of hype about this place and a lot of mixed reviews too.
Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich - $12
This is a classic option especially for me since I don't really like onions. To be honest, the chicken sausage patty is just a tad salty for me, but the whole combination of the fluffy buns, runny yolk of the egg and the honey mustard really brings everything together very nicely. I gobbled up everything in just 5 minutes.
Fairfax Sandwich - $12 (+$4 for the beef patty)
This is a very solid choice for several reasons. The scrambled eggs are really well done, the buns are very well buttered and fluffy, and the sauce is just spicy enough to trigger pleasure in your taste buds. I strongly believe there should be a meat patty in this sandwich or at least some bacon. The highlight is the combination with scrambled eggs in, so if you prefer the runny yolk then you have to order something else.
Truffle Hashbrowns - $4.5
My friend and I love hashbrowns in general, and these did not disappoint. We were so glad we order our own serving each because these are too good to be shared. Definitely the best thing on the table and a must-try.
My friend tried the coffee and he said it tasted just like the ones he had at Common Man Coffee Roasters, so quality assured. Expect a queue for sure, even on a weekday at around 2pm.
Big portion of burger in the morning 7,5/10
Americano is good 8/10
Atmosphere 9/10
Washing Hand Machine 9,5/10
First time trying, everything is pretty good! Burger is big, lot of egg stuffing and generous amount of truffle harshbrown as side. $17 nett set meal even on a weekend? You can even choose your burger and drinks, unlike many other chain outlets that fix your meal when they offer a promotion set. This is pretty impressive.
very yummy and delicious for their specialty. the baguette is very thin and it is delicious to dip and eat (fancy way to eat). portion may not be favourable for big eater. tried the bacon, egg and cheese on the brioche. something i will come back for.
Read all the reviews while waiting in line to dine-in and two of the most common complaints I've read so far are:
1. The burgers are cold when collected
2. The burgers are greasy to a point where the wrappers were soaked in grease.
Point 1: As a chef, I agree that burgers turned cold when collected and partly due to the extremely cold air conditioning. When I stepped in I could feel cold air blowing down hard on the pass and on the dining tables. Management could increase the temperature slightly or turn down the fan speed, but by the looks of the place, I'm guessing it's a centralised air conditioning by the landlord.
Point 2: Greasy burgers. At first I thought ok, brioche = greasy burgers because brioche is made mainly from butter. But based on experience, it shouldn't be that bad to the point of having the wrapper completely soaked.
So, after I collected the food, I took a look at the paper and have concluded that the paper were actually waxed, thus giving the impression that it's soaked in grease.
Conclusion, not oily at all.
Waiting time: 8/10
Food: 7/10 (can be hotter)
Ambiance: 7/10 (too cold for my liking)
To be honest it’s not so bad but $12 for an egg and bacon sandwich is really very fancy. On top of that we got 6 small round pieces of has brown for $4.50. You’re paying mostly for the hype and of course, cage-free eggs.
I was there just before the lunch time crowd started queuing outside. Lucky me and a few others who were ahead of me.
First visit and I was told by a friend to drop by on weekdays instead and be early. He was right!
I sat on the counter top and overlooking the kitchen and best view of in the house if not the best seat.
As the seats and tables were about 3/4 filled, I thought the food would take a bit longer to serve. But it was alright and I would say it was prompt. Didn’t have to wait that long.
So many had commented about their pricing being steep/pricey. I really do not mind and I would go there again as a treat to myself(as long as I am early enough).
Went back to Eggslut a few days ago :) And instead of getting the Fairfax like last time, got the sausage, egg & cheese sandwich($12) but replaced the cage-free over medium egg with the scrambled egg for an additional $1.5. so essentially it was a Fairfax sandwich with chicken sausage BUT cheaper🤑 If you get a fairfax and add a chicken sausage, it would be $16... Anyway the brioche bun was super soft and fluffy! Scrambled eggs were perfect... creamy and well-seasoned (a must-have). The chicken sausage is mediocre on its own but compliments the scrambled egg well. Overall, on the pricey side but worth every dollar!
First time eating eggslut. Since we are nearby and outlet not too crowded, we decided to give it a try. Looking at the menu, look kinda boring. Was expecting it to be EGGXICTING.
Anyway, ordered a fairfax, a single cheeseburger 🍔 and chilli crab sandwich.
Fairfax sandwich literally feels eggslut with scrambled eggs & onion. Bun was soft, other than that.. meh
Cheeseburger is for daughter and she do not enjoys it, unfortunately.
Chilli Crab sandwich is quite nice.
🍪 chocolate chip cookie quite dry, probably better to dunk it into hot Milo.
Buttermilk biscuits - meh. sorry don't like it.
Enter by outside Scotts, not inside. Ordered a fairfax (sgd12) and fresh orange juice (sgd5.5). Cashier was friendly and helpful, and offered to send my order to my table as I had an infant with me. Burger was messy but tasted great, scrambled egg was cooked yet still milky and not clumpy. Mayo onions and cheese made the burger taste excellent. Bun was pillowy soft. Orange juice was really fresh, good sized cup too. Managed to get cushioned seating at 11am, initially they assigned me a seat for 5 because it was the only cushioned seating left (so nice!). I moved when a 2 seater cushioned seat freed up, could breastfeed discreetly, seat I was at also has power socket on wall for those who need to charge their laptop or phone. Hand-wash machine so cool, auto dispenses foamy soap then water then tissue, all contactless. Place was busy but not too crowded. Air con strong enough but not too crazy. We'll be back soon!
We were there on a saturday afternoon for lunch. Service was fast. Omlette burger was yummy but it gets a little too much by the last few bits.
Truffle hashbrowns were a little too salty for my taste though the duck oil flavour was fantastic.
Food is great! The portion is just nice. I like the way the bread is made. Very soft and fluffy!
Although a bit pricey and it isn't really difficult to do it at home (sans fluffy bun), the sandwich was eggy and light, though the caramelised onions and pepper made the difference from other egg sandwiches. The service was good actually and friendly with Singaporeans hired.
ordered takeaway so I could get a shorter wait. Got the fairfax burger with an additional beef patty for $4. It’s pretty salty but the scrambled eggs were really good! While it doesn’t look big, the sandwich was very filling and is big enough to be shared. One thing I didn’t like was how wet the entire sandwich is and towards the end the brioche bun was completely soaked with the juices, making it a rather messy affair. I also tried the iced oat milk latte and I really think that it complements well with the sandwich
Orders were taken as you enter and then you have to find your own seat, like a fast food place. I came on a public holiday and it was around 1pm and had difficulty finding a seat even just for 1. It's also not a nice feeling to have people hovering over your table waiting for you to finish so they can take your seat. I had the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich and the Truffle Hashbrowns. The bacon was cooked nice and just the right crispiness, but the whole taste of the sandwich was overpowered by the ketchup. And it was supposed to be chipotle ketchup but it just tasted like regular ketchup, and there was just too much of it you couldn't taste anything else.
The Truffle Hashbrowns were good but you can barely taste the truffle.
Staff was also not very friendly. This was my first time and I asked how it works like how to get a seat and also at the end where the bin was I just got some very short, curt, unclear answers and I had to repeat my questions. And they acted like I should know what to do. Actually the food is not bad but the overall experience was not a pleasant one.
first time trying and we ordered the fairfax and single cheeseburger. buns were very soft and everything went well together. pleasantly surprised as i thought this will be another overly hyped disappointment. the hashbrowns were a tad too salty for my liking but other than that, i think it’s worth a try :-)
Am trying this sandwich for the first time. According to what I was told, there is always a long line for this cafe. Fortunately, my friend and I were able to find a seat, and on Saturday around 3+ there was absolutely no queue. The egg sandwich is excellent, but given that the burger cost $12, I should think twice before ordering one again.
Had the bacon egg and cheese and fairfax. The sriracha mayo makes the fairfax unique. The brioche buns were very well done.
Prepare to wait for more than 20 minutes though. Even after securing a table, we still had to wait for our food.
The truffle hash towns were great but be prepared to pay for it!
Morning queue is usually shorter. My favourite is the hash browns and the bun is really nice and soft. The staffs are friendly and the ambience is good.
Food is normal. Can tell by lack of queue compared when first open. Service is good. Atmosphere is spoiled by kitchen playing music louder than the restaurant music.
Overhyped eggs. Yes I love eggs and was wondering if there are some special ways to cook them. Nothing special about the burger or eggs. Only special is over priced. The salad is a big disappointment. Rocket leave with cheese flakes are all dry. No not recommended.
Overpriced, slow serving in a non-peak period, food is very average or even below average given the price. Waited for my sandwich until my coffee was nearly finished. Good atmosphere, maybe that's what you pay for.
Shout-out to Nicholas for being such a stud. After my friend and I placed our order, he offered to change our table as it would be more comfortable for us. We were served drinking water immediately after we were seated. He also offered us the sriracha mayo when we asked for ketchup to dip our hash in -- fantastic recommendation, BTW. Food was great as well, however the hash brown became soggy pretty quickly.
First time trying it! The first bite is the best! The egg yolk spilt open in my mouth and wow it’s amazing! Mouth watering great! This burger cost $13.50! I find it acceptable :) definitely worth a try! Went during a week at around 11am and didn’t have to queue much!
Are the eggs really good? Yes!
But is this worth a half hour or longer wait? NO!
Eggs done perfectly scrambled in nice brioche. Fairfax with that caramelised onions, very good combo!
We chanced it at 4pm as it’s probably not the common time for eggs!
So it’s worth the try if there isn’t a line.
First time trying eggslut and I really like it! I bought the cheeseburger and the bread was nice and the meat was also juicy. Remember to opt for the scramble eggs as it is recommended. The truffle hashbrown is ok as the truffle’s aroma is overwhelmed by the taste of the hashbrown. Overall, the ambience is also nice as it feels spacious.
Attracted by its name and recalled this is a popular outlet in Japan. Ordered a Fairfax which comes in a toasted bun with creamy scramble eggs, caramelized onion with cheese. It’s an amazing experience for egg lover despite the price is on a steep side.
Very nice and delicious. Most importantly the portion is generous! We enjoyed it quite a lot also love the location.
Ordered the Fairfax and Gaucho.
Came here to have my brunch. Store is near & clean, staff are very friendly & food was made fresh upon ordering. Food is pricey but it was a good dining experience!
The best ever, i come from Indonesia & trying the Eggslut was very good
The dining environment inside the store is bright and open to the kitchen
During brunch time, you need to queue, but there are plenty of places
Sesame leaves and cheese go well together! Can relieve boredom easily
Fairfax, delicious! The onions are fried until very soft and fragrant, which goes well with Sriracha Mayo, and the bread is a bit oily! You'll start to feel disgusted after eating half of it
Bacon, egg, cheese, a whole American style, bacon is very salty and easy to get tired of! But if you like the salty taste of bacon combined with butter, you can try it, but I don’t like it personally.
Their food is more than delicious. I advise you to try their hash browns with truffles, they are very delicious 🤤
The sessions are nice
Order from them using a barcode and take your order yourself
The taste was alright, but the bacon was too dry. Not a place I’d return to.
