Reviews of Eng Kee Chicken Wings, Commonwealth
Chicken wings were on point from the first bite👌Crispy, juicy and freshly fried. Probs due to the constant line of customers as well.
Other than that, the bee hoon and the rest of the liao tasted very normal.
Don't mind coming back for the chicken wings, if in the area. 🍗👌
Just wanna say I love how they left their chicken wing signboard in it's original faded and old glory. A true testament of how they survived the test of time, elements and competition.
One of the best chicken wings that I’ve had and all the food were piping hot! The chilli packs a pumch and goes well with the noodles and the ingredients. (My bf ordered 5 chicken wing to himself👀)
Went there for lunch during work and the crowad was okay, didn’t wait too long. A lot of parking lots in the afternoon.
Ordered the kway teow noodle plus egg and chicken wing for $3.50 only so super super affordable! Would highly recommend and come back for more ❤️
Love those freshly fried chicken wings:) you need to pair beehoon with their chilli !!🌶️
Gessshhh not sure how many tourist know about this but holy hell the best fried chicken wings I have ever laid my lips on… act local
Chicken wing ($1.20) had a really nice thin crispy and fragrant coating whilst the inside remains juicy. They seem to be constantly frying up a new batch of the wings even during off peak hours.
Fried bee hoon was simply fried and tasty. The chili sauce did not give much kick but it does give a slight extra sweetness and tart to the dishes.
Probably a reason for their popularity is that the dishes seems to always be served hot at anytime. Pocket friendly prices.
Yummy chicken wings - tasty and juicy meat, crispy skin. Very flavourful and addictive. The wings are cut into 3 parts for easy eating. The other side dishes are nothing spectacular, nothing bad. Reasonable price.
Seating here is quite limited and there is always crowd during lunch period.
It's in the middle of an old HDB estate, gotta walk in from the main road if you don't drive.
May 2019. Touted to have the best chicken wings in SG.
Not bad for a heartland stall. I ordered chicken wing, cabbage, and otah for lunch. Gee, they gave lots of carbo. Couldn't remember clearly, thought the damage was around $3.80.
Anyway, the wing was nice, too bad wrong time to have beer with it. I didn't like the otah, the curry spice overpowered the coconut taste.
Chicken wings was crispy and tender. The bee hoon and noodles goes well sweet and spicy chilli.
Been wanting to try this place for a long time. Finally decided to go early today. Queue was relatively short but took longer than expected as there was a large order at the front of the line for several packets to go. Chicken wings was crispy on the outside and tasty. Live up to its reputation of top 10 chicken wings in SG. Bee Hoon was also flavorful along with the otak. Well worth a trip there but tables are limited and flumes from frying the chicken wing does blow towards the queue.
Yummy food and value for money.
Very good will comeback for more!
one thing I don’t like is the styrofoam plate , saw the hot oil sipping through the plate.
Today was my first time i tried Eng Kee chicken wings, called up their number and was immd impressed by the politeness and enthusiasm. Went there about 5pm and a bite into their chicken wings was like finding a love I nv knew I had - for chicken wings. 🤣Initially ordered 3 pcs btw me and mum and I had to top up another 2 pcs for my well being. The bee hoon was ok but honestly, with those chicken wings- everything will taste good. Price wise was superb as well. I am really touched that the owner kept price friendly in this economy. All the staff was extremely nice and friendly. One staff even told me to come back often for their wings, except for one chinese lady, I wanted to order a bunch for my party this week and I asked what was the min for free delivery and she mentioned 100-200 haha so idk what was it? I made sure one was behind me as well whilst asking her questions. Not sure why the curt and unbothered attitude.🤣
Best chicken wings! Would definitively order a dozen to go with my beer nights next time! Goes well with the fried bee hoon. Chili was fantastic too!
Highly recommended. Chicken wings were crispy, tasty and not too oily. Generous portion of noodles. Value for money.
Best BeeHoon & Fried Chicken since a long time ago. That explains the queue that never seems to dissipate. In open space fill with trees & ample parking in an old estate Commonwealth ambience. Shall be back again !
Economical. Extremely generous in portions. Chilli not spicy, little sweet, yet matches perfectly with fried bee hoon. Chicken wings best consumed immediately. Turns dry after too long, but still crispy. Weekday evening moderate queue, about 10mins or less. Super friendly service.
Ratings purely on the wings. Agree with lots of reviewer the rest were ok nothing outstanding. The wings will be good especially if it just just fried.
Stumbled upon these famous wings ($1.30) and had one for the road. While it was crispy, slightly warm and tasty from the outside, the neat inside was rather tough and the wing was over fried on the whole.
But pretty good overall!
One of the best chicken wings: fragrant, munchy. Prices are low. Popular dishes also include fried bee hoon, and other side dishes. Long queue to be expected during meal time.
Was brought here to buy the fried bee hoon. There was a quene. Spent $9. $1.60 per chicken wing. The Wu Xiang tasted delicious.
friendly owners and staff. good food! chicken wing should definitely be in your order when youre here!
Stall (situated in a coffeeshop). Nicely fried chicken wings you can opt to go with stirfry economical noodles, vegs, sides and-ons.
PS: Not sure if there's any change to opening hours due to Covid.
They are also on delivery platforms if you want to skip the long q at times.
I will also get some freshly baked breads at the bakery along the same aisle. Nice to go with kopi.
Support the small local neighbour businesses✌
The marinate is flavourful. But in terms of crispness and juiciness, I've had better chicken wings. Good to try if you're in the area. Reasonably priced.
We pick up wings here every week. No frills, honestly good fried chicken. Dare I confirm that the wings are also gluten-free—I’ve been eating them and brought a friend with coeliac here and she also had no problems. The otah is also quite nice. Had the bee hoon but it was too oily and caused stomach issues later. Sticking to the wings!
The chicken wings are world class! probably the best i have tasted! They are oily, crispy, juicy and not coated in a thick batter, I was fortunate to have them fresh off the fryer!
Reached this coffee shop around 730pm on a saturday, queued for about 15mins, and the crowd seemed to build up after~ The fried bee hoon and vegetables i had were delicious too! My hubby and I totally enjoyed our dinner ! Must have in Singapore! 🤤
The chicken wings are a staple that you should order. The rest will go well it. There's usually a queue but it should be pretty fast moving. Worth trying
Open air and car parking no issue coz early morning. Long Q but clear very fast. Food yummy and reasonable.
Excellent Bee Hoon and chicken wings! Love it that there is no beansprouts in the bee hoon or noodles. Cheap and VERY good! Highly recommended!
Super yummy chicken wings.
Their Chicken Wings are one of the better ones and only cost $1.30. Lunch time and dinner time always long queue. But good n nice food.
Very cheap and delicious. Long queue but fast moving. Their chicken wing is the best!
Crispy deep fried wings with sweet savoury chilli dip ! Recommended !
Chicken wing is the star, rest of items take a backseat. Otah was above average, chilli spicy but the watery kind.
Awesome fried chicken wings. Still thinking about it the next day. The roast at this place is also good hearty home cooked flavour.
willing to eat this 3 meals a day for everyday. if only they have decent veg to keep it a somewhat healthy and kind of balanced meal.
5 Star Chicken Wing, but Bee Hoon pull it down. Still worth to queue for the CW.
The best fried chicken wings I've ever eaten in Singapore!
If you come during peak hour, be prepared to queue, though the line moves fast. Come for their chicken wings alone, it's that worth it. The skin is crispy and tasty, while the meat is juicy and tender inside. Dip it in their slightly sweet and spicy chilli and you'll have an orgasm in your mouth.
The chicken wings were so good that I failed to take any pictures before finishing everything. Seriously worth it.
Great chicken wings. Basic selection for bee hoon and noodles. Reasonably priced too.
Will return again
Juicy, meaty chicken wings. Price is affordable too.
Chicken wings are crispy and well marinated. Not dry. Long queue during weekday lunch time. Pro tip: Order online and then pick up. Can even do it if you're at the back of the queue - might still be faster.
Good. Fresh. With special chilli. $1.30 for each chicken wing.
Best fried chicken wing ever, simply made with the right savory seasoning & juicy meat on the inside even if it is kept more than day. The rest of the basic fried bee hoon, kway teow mee & other condiments are quite ordinary that compliment the wings…
Food is always nicely cooked, hot and fresh.
Have been been patronising this dual for more than 20years. Owners have changed but standards have been maintained.
Eating in is recommended as food is best when hot.
Chicken wings with bee hoon will never go wrong. Home style marination, exactly like the ones that i always had as a kid. There's always a long queue during dinner time but for the piping hot chicken wing, its worth it
Great fried chicken wings, chili sauce goes well with it!
This is the best chicken wing in town !! Juicy and tasty.
Definitely a nice place to go for fried chicken wings. Visited in the evening, there was a queue at the stall. Had to wait for awhile before getting my wings after order. Is worth the short wait, as the wings served are usually freshly out from the wok.
Good nasi lemak / fried bee hoon stall. Awesome wings. Usually a line especially during meal times but moves along pretty quickly. Good comfort food.
Place for your fried chicken wings craving. Well marinated and always a Q forming just to land the best wings in Commonwealth area.
Super yummy chicken wings 😋
Overall quite a good place to eat at. The mainstay product at this coffeeshop is the chicken wings, which i must say is quite good, although it is nothing to die for. Prices are also pretty cheap - around your standard kopitiam level. Location would be the only issue as far as i can see, as it is a little off the beaten path.
Crispy chicken wing(without chillie) beehon not so good, little bit of watery
The 5 stars at this stall in an old kopitiam is the fried chicken wings -- really hot, crispy and juicy. All the other food accompaniments to the bee hoon -- passable.
Always have a long queue for their famous chicken wings but it's always worth the wait. Price very affordable and the taste of their food is really delicious! A must try.
Economic bee hoon with addons like cabbage and doukwa are classics, and of course must have the well- known chicken wings. This area is basically known as the chicken wings place i guess. There is enough parking for large groups at night, and you can also get dishes from other zichar stalls. Good place to have family dinner.
Good Chicken wing. Has been eating for more than 10year. Long Q during lunch time.
Very good chicken wings. Bee hoon so so.. location warm and will make you have food smell on your clothes after you have your meal there. But it's worth it..
Fantastic wings, and other food there was really good. We went there as a group so I got to sample several different dishes, and they were all good. That's the reason why the restaurant is very busy.
Wings are well marinated. Crispy, tender and juicy!
Cabbage is also my favourite - sweet and blends well with the beehoon
Chicken wings are fantastic. Expect long queues though.
Very nicely marinated fried chicken wings and hot fried beehoon even late at night,,,
Best chicken wings and mee hoon with other food like fish cake, otta, fried long bean, cabbage, luncheon meat etc. I have to come here once in a while.
Great food, especially the chicken wings - very crispy and juicy. I love their chilli as well. Their staff are always friendly.
Excellent chicken wings, order your noodles with the fried cabbage 👍👍 try it! Plenty of car park lots just directly across the road.
I have been buying chicken wings from this stall for more than a decade. Simple fried chicken chicken wings but its very tasty and juicy.
Food is splendid, price is reasonable. Must try the chicken wings!
Very popular. However a shade too salty for me
I have to thank this stall for selling such delicious noodles and chicken wings. Damn good…. Beehoon is another level good
Best chicken wings ever! Tasted exactly like my favourite chicken wings 20 years ago!!!
Cannot fault this place. Chicken wings are great. Great value for money. Always a short queue
Great tasting fried chicken wings. Worth making a trip there to try them.
Cheap. Chicken wings are superb. In fact, everything here is really good.
one of the best chicken wings! definitely worth the calories
Happy to eat the best tasting wing, get 10 & still want more.
Good chicken wings! Will try the beehoon sets next time
Definitely worth visiting, if you have a craving for fried chicken!
Fried chicken wings are juicy and tender. Unhealthy though.
This is a stall located in a coffee shop on the corner of the village. It doesn’t have much of a dining environment. It is also commonly known as a “fly restaurant”. However, after a friend’s child ate the fried chicken wings here, he said it was the best in Singapore. chicken wings, so if you have a chance, you must try it. Fortunately, I live very close to here, so I can often enjoy crispy, delicious, juicy and tender chicken wings.
The ootah sold here is also very good, but the quantity is limited, so you won’t be able to eat it if you go there late. The portion of rice noodles is generous, and there are many kinds of toppings. If you have a small appetite, it is recommended to order one portion for two people.
There are a lot of people queuing up, and you have to wait for about 20 minutes during peak hours. If you don’t want to wait in line, you can also make a reservation online and make an appointment to pick it up.
The price is really cheap. Everything costs $4.40.
The chicken is delicious for the price. It's a little salty, but... the noodles are worse than Chapagetti.. It's a good value for money restaurant.
I wasn't expecting much, but the chicken was better than I expected.
It tastes similar to Chitty Chitty Bone.
This taste is good value for money at this price.
Crispy and delicious; full of texture. It can be said that it is not inferior to KFC at all.
