Food is goooood!! Reasonably priced. Live band performance. Drummer (Francis) is very talented! Hidden gem within an HDB estate. Family friendly.

Ordered the grilled chicken, seafood marinara and take out pizzas (Pepperoni, Hawaiian). Grilled chicken was slightly tough and too salty with sides(mushroom+potato and some greens) Seafood marinara with spicy tomato sauce was nice and not that spicy actually. Pizzas topping were slightly salty and well done. We were seated outdoor and there were bug flying around and one went for a swim. Second try: Ordered burger, fish n chips, buffalo wings and ice cream. Burger was ok, salad was black at the tip. Fish and chips was well done. Buffalo wings - sauce was not nice, spicy level 2. Ranch was not cold while celery stick was too thin and soft, no crunch. Ice cream was creamy with tiny marshmallow and nuts.

👍🏻Perfect live band 👎🏻 -no staffs to arrange seats, you just have to wait beside a table randomly (no queuing either) to see which table gets empty then u faster go and grab the table before everyone else (lol so singaporean😆) - very hot outside, no fan, only like one(?) portable air con thats not able to cover all the open area dining seats Tips: Get a reservation earlier Get the seats inside if possible so u dont sweat so much outside until no appetite

I used to love this place, but last Saturday I went there for lunch and was so surprised to see that the food has now become so expensive (~$90 for a pizza, one salad, a chicken wing plate, and one burger, with no drinks). The pizza and salad were good, but the chicken wings were terrible. At this price, it's better to go to Collin's (available at Sengkang Grand Mall). The good point is they allowed my pet dog at the outdoor seating area (she just sat under the table). Maybe the weekend dinner with live music (indoor) is more worth the price.

Chill atmosphere in the evening. Only the western menu available. Cheese burger patty seasoned well but too dry, the fries was tasty though. Calamari surprisingly came in decent size, tasty as well. Did not stay long enough for the band to start.

Update sep 2021 Finally cycle and have dinner here. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff to serve you. The fish from the fish and chip is nice . Chicken wing i find are also nicely fried..crispy so ya i like it. There are limited indoor sitting but ample open air air table around. It be great when there no longer a need for barriers due covid. At the moment the red and white tape just dampen the nice open space dining concept. Prices on the higher end side though. Older post. A new place which used to be occupied by legend. A welcome new eatery to fill up the empty space and this venue is always a great place to chill and have a beer with your friends and family. A must visit place

The pizza is nice and good range of selection. There are also western food and beers. The best is the live band singing. There are both choices of indoor and outdoor dining. Strongly recommended.

A great place to chill in the neighborhood if you want to go to air conditioning cafeteria and don’t want to go far to town. Love the drinks counter, look just like in a bar but the food counter feels like Kopitian or Kofu. Food is good if you want something sinful to indulge, you won’t be able to find healthy food here next to all the exercise facilities 😅 . The light is a little too dim as well. Overall , it is fine to chill once in awhile.

It has not really opened all only. Only serve spaghetti, dim sum, ice cream, and beverages when I visited. Only bought the ice cream. It was nice. Might try the dim sum whennI visit again next time. A bit dark inside the store. I love bright area for my dining but it seems to be cafe type in here. With vaccination status check to dine-in, there is someone checking at the entrance though.

There are not much restaurant nearby and this is a good place to go. The western food are a bit more expensive. Pizza and Chinese food are nice and I recommend them over burgers and pasta. I frequently visit this place and would recommend people to try

The live band does a great job of hyping the crowd to create a fun atmosphere. There might be mosquitos at the outdoor seating area, but no problem because the staff provide mosquito coils. Wide selection of food, pizza, ice cream, beer, dim sum choices.

Good place to hang out after biking around Punggol and Sengkang PCNs. Nice river view, quite big place and bands playing on selected nights. We tried their famous ribs which is good, can satisfy 2 hungry bikers. Just add an ice cold pint of German beer and you're good to go.

Was there with a group before. Should be my 2nd trip. Food is not bad. Got live band. But this round, I was hit badly by mosquitoes. Recommended to sit inside with aircon. For outdoor seating, prepare to "battle" the mosquitoes.

Essen is worth going to for food and drink. Happy hour pints (kronenberg blanc, Sapporo) are 12++ and jugs outside of happy hour are 34++ so it definitely isn't the cheapest but at least it isn't Tiger or Heineken. The food is great accompaniament to the drinks - generous, tasty, a bit greasy.

Nice place and would be nicer if their pints were a full pint. Third time here, second time ordering their stout and it's still below the mark. Food is decent. A decentralise concept like pinnacle works better though. A single point taking orders on a busy weekend means long queue and with no menu provided prior to the cashier point means longer waiting time as some customers decide what to eat at the counter. May need some improvement in operations and I really hope they do well coz this is the only watering hole in this area. Update: they do a good full pint now.

Outdoor seating with lights has a very chillax atmosphere that is enjoyable to sit down and table, Bicycle friendly as bicycles can be parked near your seats. (Beside PCN) Food menu was hard to access due to it being at the counter and awkward to take photo, variety of food includes dimsum, pasta, pizza and western dishes. Ordered the grilled chicken, aglio olio, carbonara, Hawaiian and beef pepperoni pizza. Previous visit ordered the XLB and red bean pancake, average tasting too Grilled chicken ($14) is one of the better dishes alongside the pizzas. Carbonara was very gelat and aglio olio was average tasting. Overall would recommend if you’re cycling and looking for a place to eat along the way Drinks are instant coffee machines or assorted range of craft beer and beer tap. Prices are definitely on the higher side in par with restaurant w service. If you’re looking for Italian food and pizza, I would say there are better places for equivalent price

Cool place in the heartlands. Music genre was what I like on a Wednesday evening. The crowd was good, about 80% full but still plenty of seats and also outdoor seating. Western food is very good, they have quite a lot of serious cooking gear. Beer is also good, different varieties and craft beers available. Will drop by again!

Met a friend for dinner and drinks last weekend. She mentioned they have a good live band but sadly they didn't have the live band playing on Hari Raya. The food was good. Ambience was nice. Fresh beers on tap and nice ambience with aircon seating. Wanton noodles and chilli dumplings tasted ok. Avoid the fish bites - the taste was funky. Pizza wasn’t available around 3-4pm. Essentially, come for the beers in a relaxed setting

First things first, our party of 5pax thoroughly enjoyed the food, be it noodles/dim sum from 小茶楼 or burgers/fish and chips from Meatology, they were delicious and portions were generous 👍 👍 However, as other reviewers have pointed out, the centralised ordering system where every patron joins one main queue regardless of which stall they are ordering from has to change. It does not make sense to queue so long even if I am prepared to choose a dish from a stall with the shortest preparation time. Also, the menus can only be sighted when one is ordering in front of the cashier, further lengthening the queueing time since time is needed to browse through the menus and decide on which dish to order. In short, excellent food but process can be improved! Would still say this is a go!
