Reviews of Firangi Superstar
CONTEMPORARY INDIAN FOOD IN A UNIQUE SETTING
———————————————————————
I had a meal at Firangi SuperStar recently, a modern Indian restaurant located along Craig Road, at Tanjong Pagar.
The restaurant had put together a special menu for Singapore Food Festival 2024, which runs from 1 - 31 October 2024.
The restaurant offers contemporary Indian food in a surreal colonial setting. The restaurant is laid out across several themed rooms:
- Jungle Lodge: Walls were adorned with deer head sculptures, wildlife picture frames and motifs of tigers adorn the room.
- Elephant Palace. Elephant prints and stone carvings. This section adjoins with the Jungle Lodge with tables that cater to bigger groups of 4 or more.
- Old Railway Room: Designed to look like a train carriage with a window that looks out to life along an Indian railway track. It even has mini curtains and luggage bags to complete the look. This section caters to a large table of 10. I like this concept.
- The Officer's Club: This was where we sat, which is just after the entrance of the restaurant. The walls were adorned with framed pictures of uniformed officers and muskets on the walls.
We were served a pre-dinner mocktail - Summer Kala Khatta a concoction of Chai Coconut water, Summer plum shrub, citrus. It was sourishly refreshing and opened up our palate for dinner.
For our meal, we had the non-vegetarian menu:
- Amuse Bouche: This was a little crispy rice puff filled with spiced potato, cumin carrot hummus, pumpkin seeds, fingerlime. It reminded me of a modern take of the masala thosai. The mini round muruku were great and we finished them all.
- Yellowfin tuna tataki with cumin-sesame tadka and avocado: This was a seared tuna block covered with white and black sesame seeds on the outside and pink on the inside, topped with salmon roe and avocado puree on the side
- Grilled Argentinian prawns with curry leaf chermoula: Char-grilled prawns with a lovely curry sauce.
- Wagyu short ribs aloo bharta and saffron jus: Our favorite dish for the night! A grilled whole wagyu beef rib that was well seasoned. It was sliced into several parts for easy sharing. The taste was divine and reminded me of rendang. 😍 The mashed potato with this dish was delish and we used the naan to mop up the gravy.
- Chocolate burfi with dark cherry and granola: A different take of the all beige burfi that I am used to. This was a layered beige milk and chocolate burfi with toasted coconut granola with ice cream.
The restaurant has a 6 seater bar - Officer's Club Bar, and offers an interesting list of cocktails with the infusion of herbs, fruits and spices like curry leaf, saffron, dill, elderflower, apricots, cashew, mango and even chai milk. Will pop by for cocktails next time.
If you are looking to dine in a restaurant with a unique ambience, this is the place!
Had a wonderful dinner with my family at the Firangi Superstar! Besides the food being top notch, the service was also 5stars !!
Byron our host/waiter was very knowledgeable in his dishes and very pleasant and attentive to fine details. Taking time to explain each dish and where it derived from. An excellent host who knows the entire menu by memory, light hearted and one who avail himself to answer any questions we may have.
We reserved the booth seats which was almost like a private room, and the warm candlelight allows one to be totally relaxed after a busy day.
After the superb appetisers and 15 minutes of waiting for our main course, Siva the restaurant manager came and apologised for the delay as one of the dishes was not up to par and thus, ordered it to be redone. In so doing, all our desserts, specially selected by him, were on the house! I would recommend the grilled octopus for starters and the wagyu beef for the main.
Service was superb throughout the evening, we even had a 5men team send off after our meal, Siva the manager included! I can say it was not just another dinner night but a warm and friendly evening that made us relaxed and welcomed. Throughly enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be back to try the Tandoori spiced lamb the next time round. Big thank you Siva, Byron and the team at Firangi Superstar. Keep up the great service ‼️
Firangi Superstar is a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian flavours with a twist. The dishes are creatively reimagined, presenting familiar tastes in a surprising, fresh way. The service was top-notch, and manager Siva’s warm welcome made our experience truly special. We celebrated my dad’s 70th birthday here, and it couldn’t have been more memorable. This was our second visit, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
I like everything that was recommended to us, only if I really have to pick on something then it was the naan being a tad salty but it could be the uneven distribution of sprinkled salt.
I especially love the iberico pork and various chutney! Cocktails were yumz!
Service was flawless. And chef Raj came to say hi.
I will gladly bring friends esp when they request for Indian cuisine, and surprise them with a modern and creative version of it in a unique dining atmosphere.
The food is superb—absolutely delicious! The ambiance and atmosphere of the place are fantastic, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff, especially Mr. Siva and the lead bartender were super accommodating and nice, making sure we had everything we needed. From start to finish, everything was wonderful.
A very special Indian restaurant. The deco is ethnic yet cozy. The food is innovative n delicious.
Love the nan and the main course of fish n pork.
Staffs are attentive and helpful with explanation of the menu.
Me and my husband have a great experience for our anniversary celebration ( a gift by our dearest daughter ) .
Came here for Singapore Restaurant Week and the food was great.
I would highly recommend this place for business / entertaining guests.
The food is very tasty and well portioned for being a fine dining place.
The staff were friendly and always checked in.
Starters were small but full of flavor. Bal-ciao Bella octopus were full of flavor and the hunter or the hunted was excellent. Smoky cinnamon sour was surprisingly potent but harmoniously balanced. Brussel sprouts were great too. Preferred the starters to the mains. Service is undoubtedly slow, and short-staffed. Maybe it was harder to gain the staff's attention because of the dimness.
Came to celebrate our wedding anniversary at firangi. Service and food was top notch!
The best lamb I have ever tried. Was super soft and amazing!!!
The place was beautiful looking at how they had done up interiors 😍
Highly recommended!
4.3/5 ⭐️ (given the price). Posh atmosphere and charming thematic rooms. We got 3 small plates, 3 mains, 2 sides, and 1 dessert.
Standout dishes!
- [Side] Brussels sprouts: 5/5 ⭐️ None of us were expecting much (and hence I didn’t even bother with a close up shot) but the flavours, crunch, and texture were amazing. Charred perfectly 🤤
- [Main] Back in the Saddle (Tandoori Spiced Lamb): 4/5 ⭐️ Great char and flavour; the top slices were not as soft as they looked, but the smaller, fattier pieces at the bottom melted in your mouth
- [Side] Bombay Elote (Grilled Baby Corn): 4/5 ⭐️ Very cheeky dish LOL baby corn served with corn puree and coated in corn flakes. Nice subtle mix of sweet and salty!
- [Side] The Hunter or the Hunted (Amritsari Kulcha, Pork Vindaloo): 4/5 ⭐️ A spin on the classic shredded pork + carb combo. Soft bites and nice flavour, wished it came out a bit more.
The “Alrights”:
- [Side]: Bal-ciao Bella (Grilled Octopus): 3.9/5 ⭐️ Cooked to perfection (so soft!) and good with the sauce, but the flavours were a bit mild for my liking.
- [Main] The Bengal Bake-off (Salt-Baked Seabass): 3.9/5 ⭐️ Pull-apart fish, almost entirely deboned (we found a couple strays in some bites). Great portion size. By itself, we found the flavours a bit too light; even after adding the sauce, I felt it still lacked a bit of kick.
Black garlic butter naan was so soft and rich in flavour, kinda felt like a chewy pizza crust (which I personally enjoyed).
The above star ratings consider both meal quality and price! None of us regretted anything we put in our mouths, but some felt a bit flat especially given the premium price. The concepts were there, definitely! Perhaps a bit of a push for the “alrights” would really sell the whole experience.
Our server / restaurant Manager, Siva and the rest of the waitstaff, were friendly and attentive. Free (and yummy!) amuse-bouche and digestifs. They gave us a free round of white wine when they overheard my parents were visiting to help me move in 🥹 Memorably great service, perfect for special occasions.
Food was excellent, but would like to specially commend Rajinder for his hospitality and friendliness. Extremely top notch service from him, super knowledgeable with the food and culture, learned a lot from him. He made an effort to remember names and even showed us out and said farewell. He deserves a raise. He really brought Firangi to life.
What a fantastic experience ! The staff were ever so polite and friendly. The food was a modern twist with Indian style flavours, and what they’ve done with the menu is simply amazing. The barman was fantastic too : the cocktails also have an Indian influence. From start to finish, Firangi made us feel like superstars !! If you visit Singapore and don’t eat here, you’ve not experienced Singapore to the max.
Service was great and the food was delicious. Fine dining Indian food with a twist.
Would recommend the raita, prata waffle, back in the saddle (lamb) and black garlic butter naan. The lamb really melts in your mouth and by far the softest and fluffiest naan i have eaten.
Would definitely recommend this place for special occasions. Pricey yet worth the experience. Ambience and deco was great. Would come back again.
Reservations are highly recommended. Visited over the weekend to celebrate my birthday with the fam and left with both our hearts and stomachs full. The service was top-notch from the get-go. Special mention for the incredibly charismatic and professional, nice 'bald' man (Feel really bad about not getting his name). The waiter who took our orders was also thoughtful enough to inform us on the portion sizings, preventing us from over-ordering. We really appreciated that. The food was nothing short of a decadent journey, however I did feel like the vegetarian version of the rogan josh, fell alittle short. I would definitely recommend the lamb which was perfect in meat to fat ratio and the black garlic naan which was such a joy to savour. The cocktails we had were interesting and had such an enticing combination of strong flavours. It was a bummer that many were not available that day. Desserts were on the average side, would have been great if we ended the meal with a bang. If you absolutely had to try something, I'd recommend the mango kesari. Besides that, they even provided a complimentary birthday dark chocolate tart, which was such a pleasant surprise. I love that you never need to try too hard to get the attention of a waiter too. Overall, its still definitely a must-visit. I know I would again. Stellar.
Great ambiance. Our server was excellent, patiently explained the entire menu and also recommend a few dishes.
It's a fusion menu, folks looking for authentic bold Indian flavour might not be blown away. But the food is very well presented and good flavours.
Firangi is a very attentive restaurant. Be its waiters or management behind the scene.
They care for your experience and tastebuds equally.
My second visit, I still enjoy the recommended chutneys.
The lamb menus are a must try. In appetizer section or mains.
The exotic beverages are for very adventurous only. They are tastes I had never tried. Each one will bring different surprises. The hunter appetizer is my favorite for this dinner. While back in the saddle lamb is a complete feast.
Combination with black garlic naan is very recommended for all meat dishes.
It is unfortunate the mango dessert isn't available anymore. But the sticky toffee date cake doesn't disappoint at all.
Special thanks to waiter Raj for being very welcome and friendly to us. And the management for spending time to celebrate a humble customer's birthday a few days early. Apologies to three other waiters that served us too but we cannot name at the moment.
Warm and friendly service. Ambience was great; it’s almost like entering a different world and time in the restaurant. Food was spectacular. Highly recommend the black garlic naan. Especially enjoyed my Smoky Cinnamon Sour as well. Was not as much a fan of the Sandalwood Mai Tai as it’s an acquired taste imo. Great overall experience.
We had an amazing bday dinner at Firangi! The food was great, especially for vegetarians (lots of options), the cocktails were top notch and everything was nicely presented. We loved the vibe and interior of the restaurant and the service was outstanding, very attentive. We had some dietary restrictions due to being vegetarians and not being able to handle too spicy, and Raj helped us picking out the best options from the menu with real and honest advice which we really appreciated (thanks Raj!!). They even arranged for a small bday pastry with a candle which I did not specifically ask for, I just filled in that the occasion was a birthday in the online booking station, such a nice surprise! Finally the price-quality was great too, we were pleasantly surprised by the bill. We left with a big smile on our face and we will be back very soon, thanks again!
Wonderful dining experience!
First up the interior design is top notch. The amount of detail and though that went into it was really apparent and added to the overall vibe.
Service was impeccable. From the staff that greet you when you first enter to the waiters that are more than capable with providing great recommendations from the menu.
Last but certainly not least the food was incredible. The chicken and prata waffles had very good flavour and complemented each other well. The Beirut Bhatura was delectable with the poori pairing. The desert of chocolate jamun sinfully sweet way to end the meal.
But the one that takes the cake is the Back in the Saddle Tandoori spiced lamb. I have literally never eaten lamb that has tasted this good. The charred and salty crust was a wonderfully pairing with the soft tender meat of the lamb. Amazing
The wait staff was attentive, the presentation of the food was unique. The flavors of all the dishes were so delicious. The ambiance and decor really take you to another time and place. Can’t say enough good things about the experience. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and you won’t regret it.
We enjoy the modern Indian cuisine and service at this well located restaurant. The ambience and service are good even though the restaurant was busy for dinner.
From the small plates to the big plates, we followed the recommendation of our service manager.
Our ask to her was that we’d fancied some space for a sweet ending.
She recommended 1 starter, 3 small plates, 1 big plate and 1 sweet.
3 small plates: little cauliflowers (Gobi) served on crisps; bone marrow, prepared to a buttery perfection (served with little pillowy and fragrant naan); either chicken or pork, cooked to melt in mouths (served on pillowy and fragrant naan)
1 big plate: lamb cooked to a lovely level of tenderness (served with a big portion of pillowy and buttery naan)
1 starter: crispy poppodoms, with 2 dips: pineapple chutney and spiced mint
Drinks: raspberry cocktail (a delicious fruity cocktail) and beer
1 sweet: sticky date pudding, served with ice cream, figs and walnuts, which do not leave us with any guilt of high sugar and any tinge of stickiness.
After we settled the bill, we are gifted with a small treat of Mukhwass lollipops for digestion, an Indian tradition preserve with a twist at this modern restaurant.
What a holistic modern Indian dining experience at Firangi Superstar!
Wonderful service (thanks to Rajinder, our ultra-attentive server), very enjoyable experience with my mum for Mother’s Day and excellent food (great taste, quality portion sizes for the Executive Set Lunch)! Will be back here for sure!
Celebrated a friend’s birthday at the Saturday brunch and had a wonderful time! Food and drinks were delicious (highly recommend the baked eggs and prata waffle, as well as the saffron spritz and espresso martini), loved the ambience and vibes (I need those candles for my house) and service was excellent!! Many thanks Rajinder (as well as the rest of his colleagues) for taking great care of us, we enjoyed ourselves and had to be kicked out when they closed to prepare for dinner service. Would definitely return!
Overall, a great place to be! Service is great, cocktails are amazing, atmosphere and music is fantastic, appetizers are yummy… main dishes are just okayyy…. Nothing to brag about or to remember… would be great to reinvent and spice it up, too normal is not what I’d expect from what we’ve seen! Strong potential there! I’d definitely recommend and give it another try, with less focus on the mains…

This place was alittle bit hit and miss for me.
The roasted pistachio and green mango chutney was very good. It was served with papads and crackers.
The Sothi fresh (snapper ceviche) was served in a coconut & turmeric broth. Interesting taste but not something I would order again.
The prata waffle was very well done. crispy prata waffles and Madras fried chicken with butter chicken sauce. Lovely combo.
Paneer or not (burrata with Alphonso mango) was another interesting dish. I honestly didn't think that flavour combo would work but it did.
Sacred samosa (wagyu beef tartare in a samosa crisp). The beef tartare itself was decent but I thought the dish was underwhelming. Couldn't taste any of the caviar.
Indian saddle (tandoori lamb with confit garlic) was probably the best dish of the meal. Lamb was super tender and perfectly cooked.
The eggplant that ate Karnataka was a dish I didn't really care for. I personally thought the flavour combinations of the sweet and sour didn't go well with the eggplant.
Their black garlic butter naan is very nice. Went perfectly with everything that was served.
Overall it was a good experience and would definitely come back again.
It's a beautiful place. Thank you Prasad for the wonderful detailed service especially with the menu recommendations. The food was delicious and we had a great time.
What an experiential place! Each room is so immaculately adorned and embellished, it really feels like an immersive journey. I’d want to try playing around with the different rooms! Cocktails are fun here as well. Food is ambitiously innovative but disappoints a bit on the flavor side (muted flavors compared to Indian cuisine without any twists). Service is friendly and responsive! I’d recommend the pistachio chutney, bone marrow and bel puri.
This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in my entire lifetime! Amazing decor, excellent service - going the extra mile for literally everything... And the food - glorious. Every morsel, every bite was perfection. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the dishes. We had the coriander & mint + almond raita and chutney as starters (poppadoms galore) followed by the pork appetiser with aloo gobi. Main was black garlic naan and the softest lamb you've ever tasted. Ended the meal with a toffee desert, capping the night with the mango sour masala cocktail. Is there an option to increase the number of stars? 😀 ❤️
Awesome warmth service that will bring me back. Tasty food too abeit on the steep price side but nice experience.
Kudos to Siva and his team on the level of service which is quite rare these days in singapore F&B scene.👍
Amazing food and amazing service, the decor is beautiful and so was the attention to detail. The staff made us feel welcome from the get-go, Ankur, Rajen and Pavin in particular, making sure we got a great first experience for our birthday celebration. We enjoyed everything they recommended and actually wanted even more if not for our stomach limits. The food was familiarly Indian cuisine but with their own take on it which felt original and very delicious. We have nothing bad to say, only good things! Thank you for the surprise birthday pie and complimentary Polaroids — if you’re looking to celebrate an occasion, tell them and they’ll really make it special for you. Will come back.
Was on my list since they opened, has to be the fabulous interiors which drew me initially. Highlight of the place for me has to be the masala chai cocktail, potent and yet so flavorful. The food i think in my mind, expectations were super high, saying that i would say the food was still good and definitely worth a try as the chef has tried to tastefully balance the indian palate with some twists. Interiors make it an instagrammable place for sure and friendly staff adds in to the warmth of the place. Its a new place, and hopefully with time it'll just get better !!..
This was a really stunning restaurant - was greeted with a personalized “passport” telling stories about each part of the place. As if we were not impressed enough by the decor and ambience - food and drinks were excellent. We tried some dishes and there wasn’t one we didn’t like. Favorites include the Sacred Samosa - the burst of flavors was a lovely surprise. The Malabar Coast went really well with the Naan bread we ordered. Service crew was fantastic - all friendly and made the dining experience fun. Would love to return and try more of Firangi Superstar!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Firangi Superstar and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Everything, from the delectable dishes to the charming ambiance and warm hospitality, exceeded my expectations.
The new menu at Chef Raj's is truly amazing. I had the opportunity to savour the Roasted French Poulet, Black Truffle, Dhal & Pulao Rice Cakes and the Australian Wagyu OP Ribeye, Bone Marrow, Nihari Jus. Chef Raj's attention to detail truly shined through in every bite. My taste buds were doing a happy dance.
Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere at Chef Raj's was absolutely enchanting. As soon as I stepped inside, it felt like I had been transported to the set of a Wes Anderson movie. The whimsical décor and carefully curated design elements added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the dining experience. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
I must also commend Carmine, the super hospitable general manager, who welcomed us with open arms. From the moment we arrived, his attentiveness and genuine care for our comfort were truly commendable. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. The impeccable service provided by Carmine and the entire team truly enhanced our afternoon and made it unforgettable.
Thank you, Chef Raj, Carmine, and the entire team for an unforgettable lunch. I can't wait to return and explore more on your menu!
Beautiful ambience and great variety of vegetarian options (almost every dish had a vegetarian variation). Small plates were quite delicious - cauliflower was extremely notable, along with Brussel sprouts. The food has strong flavours, beautiful colours and plating. Came in a group of 6 ordered approximately 10 small plates and 2 mains but left not feeling very full. The bill TRULY BURNED A HOLE IN OUR WALLETS HAHA so come if you’re celebrating something or if you’re FEELIN a lil rich that day 😛 also there’s a free birthday cake/tart if you let them know you are celebrating. It was a delicious chocolate chai tea tart!! Might come again if my bank account allows it.
Gorgeous fitout, incredible food, impeccable friendly service. Thanks so much to Rajesh for spot-on food recommendations, for being so warm and kind, and for an incredible dessert that was just light enough to finish off the delicious meal. The lovely chef Raj has nailed a menu that lets you snack your way through Indian flavours that will make you want to come back for more! Incredible list of cocktails that thoughtfully includes options for non-drinkers. A must-visit!
Excellent food but even better service here by Siva and Jyoti. They ensured everything was ok in terms of food and comfort. Entire menu was well explained and went with their recommendations.
Again, thank you to Siva and Jyoti for the wonderful experience.
Nice ambience and avant-garde modern Indian cuisine concept with different themes in different parts of the restaurant. Really enjoyed the small dishes - tomato chutney went well with the fragrant and crispy papadam; the samosa and fried cauliflower also had a good crunch and served as good appetisers. Beef short ribs were tender but I felt the fish was passable. The price is on the higher end though but the service was great.
Superstar of an establishment. Came here for the vibe, left impressed with the vibe, decor, food and its impeccable service. As you probably would have read, the decor and vibe here is a total ride. Drinks menu is clever and fun to browse through, providing very helpful tips on “poison level”. Every single dish we had was amazing. Pistachio chutney got me cleaning up the whole bowl on its own even when i was done with my papadums. Prata Waffles and This is not Aloo Gobi are a must have. Only gripe was that they should have more options for big plates instead of just eggplant, fish and lamb. Place looks fantastic for big gatherings, absolutely cannot wait to round up a group next time and have a great night over good food and drinks.
Food is overpriced. Restaurant is very dark. Service staff keep chasing us as they is a limitation on dinner until 8 pm. Guess they want another group to dine although there were a few empty tables. We were not able to finish our wine as they wanted to move us to the bar. Our bill for 3 of us came up to S$460+. The ribs and lamb although delicious were 120 each.
Went for team lunch. Food was not to my liking, the masala tea was very diluted.
We were really excited to be here! The interiors were beautiful and both the food and cocktail menus looked intriguing with an Indian twist.
Went in for the Chai Ramos Fizz (Cocktail no.1) - Gin, Chai Masala, cream, Citrus, Egg White.
I liked how the flavours came together, it was more like an alcoholic creamy chai tea.
We also had Cocktail no.6 (Curry leaf Boulevardier), which is very much like a negroni with a faint hint of curry leaf fragrance, and cocktail no.3 (Fenngreek Manhattan) which was extremely spirit forward and truly hits you.
Now onto the dishes:
Started off with a couple chutneys: Tamarind Gourd was tangy and a little spicy, Pistachio was nutty and creamy. We loved them both! They went well with the papads and crackers.
They told us the tiny plates were really tiny, so we went for 5 small plates and a medium, but that was imo too much for two ladies - could have done maybe 3+1.
This is Not Aloo Gobi - loved the cauliflower base, very tasty and well textured. The cashew, crispy potatoes and masala compote added to the complexity and lifted the dish. One of our favourites tonight.
Beirut Bhatura - hummus was nicely done, loved the chickpea masala that added to the flavour. The bhatura came light and puffy, but we couldn't finish it because it was too oily for our liking.
Tikka Takeaway - octopus was charred and crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. While it was a good dish, it was really tiny and we thought the tandoori flavours did not come through enough.
Paneer or Not - this was a burrata dish with Alphonso mango and a base of spinach. We couldn't put our finger to what we didn't not like about this dish. It just didn't work for us when the flavours came together.
Prata Waffle? - this was a brilliant idea! Prata dough in that waffle machine. It was crisp and flaky but still doughy in the centre and not too oily. Chicken was well crisped and juicy. The curry and a hint of maple tied it all together. We enjoyed this dish!
I'll be back, maybe for another drink and those sacred samosas!

Prepare yourself to be blown away. Every dish was a star. It’s not often that I’m lost for words, but the food at Firangi Superstar will do that to you. Don’t expect traditional Indian fare, they say, and disappoint they did not. Every beloved ethnic dish was given a marvelous twist, at the same time an homage to classics and an elevation to what a classic can be — new and inspiring. I look forward to returning for more.
First meal after P2HA easing on dining out. It was a dinner to celebrate wife's birthday which was supposed to be 9 Aug (national day) but had to wait a bit. Wife's best friend booked this restaurant . The Indian food (modern twist and non traditional) was very good and we had an enjoyable meal experience throughout.
Had a wonderful dinner here with friends. Great food and service. As a vegetarian, there are plenty of options. Love the flavor of every dish. Thank you for the great experience!
Ambiance: Looks straight out of The Darjeeling Limited. Lights were quite dim and music quite loud but that's the appeal! I love the different themes rooms and the washroom sinks were so...beautiful hahaha
Service: Very attentive and the manager that night was incredibly charismatic! Drinks (both water and alcoholic) were topped up immediately.
Food: We only ordered the small plates (cauliflower, octopus, cali puri, prata waffles) along with garlic naan and chutney (pistachio and garlic dried chili) but we were already so full after and couldn't finish the naan and chutney! The mango kesari was also a pleasant surprise very refreshing. Everything was amazing, all dishes were winners.
Drinks: Ordered the two chai masala drinks (gin fizz and milk punch)--preferred the latter to the former since there the chai masala taste was more prominent. The milk punch was so creamy, so smooth.
Definitely going back again to try the rest of the small plates and maybe even the big plates next time!
Quite a good experience. It is not Indian food per say but a cuisine inspired from Indian food. Service and atmosphere are great. A great place to celebrate your occasions.
Highly recommend the Beirut Bhatura.
We had an amazing culinary experience at Firangi Superstar. The food was exceptional, offering a delightful array of flavors that truly satisfied our taste buds. The ambiance was perfect, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere.
The service was outstanding, with the entire team being exceptionally friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Mr. Rajendran, who went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. His attentiveness and genuine care made our dining experience even more memorable. Thanks for the complimentary Champagne and Crab soup 🍲
Overall, Firangi Superstar is a fantastic place to enjoy modern Indian cuisine and excellent service.
The most fabulous birthday dinner! It was so delicious and the unexpected treats made my night! Thank you again to all the staff that went above and beyond to cater for my dietary too! Next trip to Singapore, we'll be back!
Modern Indian concept. The small plates, mains, naans were awesome. At this price point, service staff could have better knowledge about the drinks. But overall a good experience and will return in future.
Fun menu of cocktails (think masala chai, lassi, the works), fun bites (jackfruit raita & papad was the bomb, in the best way possible). Desserts were on point & absolutely worth the calories. Can’t wait to be back for their large plates once we can dine in groups again!
Special thanks to Kalai and Raj for making our night so memorable! The lamb is an absolute must try, was a melt in the mouth experience.
Excellent food. Nice selection of wines and cocktails. Staff really attentive, which is rare for Singapore. Will be visiting again.
Love the energetic atmosphere, eclectic interior design and the food was also top notch. Music may be too loud for some, especially if you have a bigger table, but overall it’s a great experience. Would highly recommend the chicken and waffles.
I was quite surprised by how good the food was. Fusion menu's sometimes hit the mark and sometimes miss pretty badly. Firangi Superstar is really impressive and the staff's service adds to the great experience.
One of the best dinners we had in Singapore during our stay. Don’t be fooled by the location and the quiet street, off the busy Marina Bay. The food is of very high quality and the cocktails are top notch.
The restaurant’s environment is beautiful. The light and the ambience is just enough to let you enjoy the presentation of the various plates. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.
Wonderful Indian flavours with a twist. Next time we are in Singapore, we are definitely gonna pay another visit!
PS. Gotta try the Burrata as a starter. Trust me!
Very innovative Indian cuisine. Probably one of the best in Singapore.
Every dish was mind-blowing, especially the lamb
Food, service, and drinks were all impeccable. I would highly recommend visiting for a birthday celebration or a special night out.
Omg what a great vibe. Cool setting, music and the food was fantastic but to top it all the waiter was on top form, very attentive, checking if we needed anything and answering any questions we had about the menu. Great cocktails and the flavours were so unique but it all worked, thank you so much for a special evening .
Celebrating our anniversary at Firangi Superstar was a culinary delight! The staff's exceptional courtesy elevated our experience, making it truly memorable. Their attentiveness was impeccable, ensuring a seamless and delightful evening. The fusion of Indian flavors was a revelation, with each dish presenting a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. From the warm ambiance to the artful presentation, Firangi Superstar is a gem. The service was outstanding, reflecting a genuine commitment to excellence. Our anniversary celebration was a perfect blend of remarkable hospitality and extraordinary cuisine—a heartfelt thanks to the fantastic team at Firangi Superstar! ⭐️🍽️🎉
Everything exceeded my expectations. A lot of attention to detail was put to every aspect of the experience. From the modern indian cuisine and cocktails, to the four different themed interiors, to the music and mood lighting, and the branding on the menu with the train tickets. Last but not least, service was exceptional and servers were really friendly and open to sharing about the food/india/interiors. Would definitely go there again and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you Firangi Superstar for the great dinner experience!
Had the Saturday brunch here, it was absolutely fantastic. Service was incredible, food was amazing, and the entire experience was so good. Would definitely recommend. Make sure you save room for dessert, didn’t think it would get any better after the starters and main, but it did. Highly recommend.
Lamb was cooked just right - no gamey after taste whatsoever! Love the ambience as well. Can’t wait to be back!
Firangi Superstar impresses with its stunning decor, offering a fresh take on modern Indian cuisine. The ambiance is undeniably beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for special occasions and Instagram-worthy moments. With spacious dining areas and a welcoming atmosphere, it's an ideal spot to gather with friends and celebrate. However, while Firangi Superstar gets many things right, the food falls short of expectations. Despite its creative approach to Indian cuisine, the outcome is often average, lacking the depth of flavor and innovation expected from a modern restaurant. Nevertheless, the cocktails manage to hold their own, providing a decent accompaniment to the meal.In summary, Firangi Superstar may not be the destination for exceptional food, but its picturesque setting and overall ambiance make it worth a visit, especially for those seeking a memorable dining experience for special occasions or social gatherings.
Enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service! Recommend the crab cutlet, mutton, and the muglai chicken! Shoutout to Rajinder for exceptional service.
Splendid menu and ambiance. Drinks were creative and delicious, service was fantastic and we had a large group for my partners birthday. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu.
Walking into the the place, and everything from menu to food is like an experience by itself, reminds of old colonial times and at the luxury train station. Try out Indian food with contemporary twist.
Ambience was 10/10! Aloor Gobi and naan were amazing, otherwise food was average.
The ambience is immaculate. Feels like you are being transported into the set of Wes Anderson’s Darjeeling Express.
The food is, like what everyone here has described, delicious and creatively fusioned. Highlight were the cocktails, which were yummy and fairly priced (compared to what can be considered exorbitantly priced cocktails in the Duxton area).
I think the food is good ~ but the price is on the high side ~ the charges are not clear ~ there is only one or half of the menu written and the amount and portion size are not consistent!
I found this restaurant really great!! The food is very, very good, each dish is really worked with lots of different textures, lots of flavors, very beautiful presentation. Nothing to do with the Indian restaurants we are used to, it is a modern and gourmet restaurant. The place is very beautiful and stylish. Very nice servers. Perfect from start to finish
International cuisine with nice interior, delicious taste but not memorable 😅
Brilliant and modern take on Indian cuisine! Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Parking convenient too! I’ll be back for sure
