Reviews of Folks Collective / Slurp
A wonderful Thai meal indeed. The service was absolutely lovely too as we were served by the very pretty and helpful Rachel and the rest of the smiley and accommodating team.
Robust and spicy sour , the shrimp and acacia omelette in tamarind curry was so appetising that we slurped up the rice all too soon.
And the garlic stir fried squid was well battered . A crisp lacquer finish on the aubergine was just as delightful.
And the icecream in a detailed finish.
Even the tea had a good aroma.
So happy to find another fav place
Nice Thai restaurant and good tasting. The Tom Yum Seafood soup was good as well as the mango salad.
Ordered 2 lunch set, 1 beer and 1 prawn cake. This is a must try restaurant as they serve good thai dishes. 🫶
Authentic Thai food with nice relax dining environment. The boat noodles and pad thai were really nice. Will visit again to try rest of the menu.
You have to be here early to get tables for a larger group. We had a party of 12/and managed to get seats cos we were there at 6.30pm on a Sunday evening.
You can smell that flavours of Thailand as you enter the cafe! Loved the food ❤️
I think we ordered half the menu!
Just look at what we ordered ☺️ we must be hungry !
Beef boat noodles, Pad Thai, Mango Salad and more haha I can't recall what we ordered.
We had a wonderful time and that's all that matters 💕 I must say that the service is outstanding - they were oatinet, polite despite of our chaos!
Will definitely be back !
Great dine-in experience with the best thai food in Singapore & friendly service staff! Third visit back here just to try other menu items! The service staff checked in on us during our meal, they take customers’ feedback seriously & always seeking to improve on their quality & service! Love every dish we ordered! The raw seafood yum is a must try! Mooping with sticky rice is my favourite! & most authentic boat noodles I’ve tried! Love the desserts too! Will definitely be back again! Highly recommended!
This place has rather good Thai food for its price range. Having tried it on two occasions, I can say that the tom yum seafood soup was transcendental on the first occasion and a bit more normal on the second. At its best (made by the Thai chef himself), the prawns are very fresh and sweet, and it is chockful with ingredients. It tasted like how restaurants or shops in Thailand make tom yum soup. The deep fried brinjal is also recommended- it melts in the mouth beyond a simple bite of the crunchy exterior. Deep-fried fish was also good particularly the sauce. We separated the sauce from the fish to preserve the crunchy exterior. The squid is not too bad, but as there are many places that make a mean BBQ squid, it is ok only. Atmosphere is casual, not the fine dining type. Don't expect to clinch a business deal or try to pop the question to your beloved at this place though. It can be a bit noisy during days where the adjacent atrium has an event.

We always passed by this restaurant and it seems like it’s quite popular. Finally had a chance to try their food with friends. We met up on a Sunday for lunch here, normally this mall is quite pleasant and quiet however unfortunately the mall was crowded with people due to an event (pasamalam/garage sale). It was not a good start to dine here as it was a tad too noisy and messy.
We arrived around 12 noon, it wasn’t crowded in the restaurant yet however there were a few reservations and the tables available were only the high tables in the middle. Chairs were comfy however the tables have a big base with sharp corner that hinders the knees! It was a bit hazardous for long legged peeps!
I also didn’t like that when you’re seated and ordered you have to automatically pay before they serve the food. Normally this will not be an issue however, the service was so slow and there were dishes that we wished we could have cancelled as it came too late and we couldn’t as we already paid!!
Oh lastly their online menu doesn’t have descriptions, example the Trip Pork Platter - we thought this was grilled (appetizer) but nope! it was fried!! 😅 but atleast it was nice! so that was Ok.
We ordered:
Trio Pork Platter - Fried pork bellies (2 types) and skewers this was good and big portion.
Mango Salad - this was NICE! not too sour and not too spicy, the taste was just nice! 😊
Grilled Squid - soo tender and the side chilies was nice and sour! 😅 must try!
Chicken Cashew Nut Stirfry - this was so so.. a bit tiring to finish
Chicken Fried Rice - Good taste good smell, must try!
Green Curry - well this tastes OK, however the menu and actual really looks very different!

What I liked:
- Thai mango salad
What I disliked:
- service
The food was tasty, but on the salty side. Have to drink a lot of water after the meal. I tried the fried rice and pork and it was good. The Tom Yum soup was too spicy for me. But acceptable.
No expectations when I made a random stop for lunch. Wow the beef boat noodles was so flavorful. Finished the broth. Small serving with not much ingredients, pricey. An average kid could finish 2 bowls easily. Decent amount of veggies and herbs. Overall a delicious bowl but Thachang is more worth it. We also packed home the basil pork and mango salad. Both were pretty good.
Overall, food is decent and you can taste the authenticity as well. However, felt that the prices could reflect the portion sizes more appropriately. But then again, it’s a newly renovated aperia mall and I can imagine the rental being higher as well. Anyways ordered the following:
-Isan Sausage 4pcs. Nice and fatty bits of the sausage, making this a succulent appetiser. (Rating: 3.5/5)
-Thai Milk Tea. Decent and average (Rating: 3/5)
-Omelette with crab meat. Omelette by itself is $8.24 and top up of the crab meat for an additional $7.41. Omelette slightly on the oily side but overall, decent. Above average but not the best. (Rating: 3.5/5)
-Basil pork. Decent and not too spicy. Caters to the general palette. (Rating: 3.5/5)
Had lunch at this Thai restaurant and tried their decent Thai cuisine. The pad Thai and noodle soup were satisfactory. While it might not be the top choice among the new Thai restaurants in Aperia Mall, it's still worth a try, especially during peak times when other places are crowded.
Little Thai-style pub serving Thai food and alcoholic drinks just outside the supermarket. Food is decent but nothing mind-blowing and prices are on the slightly higher end. Raw prawn sashimi was nice.
Food is great. At a price of $19 below, you get a super big portion of shrimp roe, 4 big prawns, veges etc. Their currys are nice too. Totally forgotten to snap a pic and too busy glurping down the food. Do give them a try if u are in the area✌️
Was craving for soupy stuff n came here . Ordered the pork boat noodles , got the rice noodles. Pork slices was nice but the pork ball was tasteless .
Got the folk pork belly, servers could be more helpful to advise customers of the different pork collar , pork belly etc

Quite good, quite good. Even if the menu was very limited and had a lot of sold out items. I had the mama noodles which was decently stir fried. No water served here it looks like.
Service is excellent. I stopped by for a tea tea treat. Good
Will come again. Good and quiet ambience and good service.
Great food and somewhat affordable. Definitely worth a visit.
I had a meal with the family and in short as follows:
The steam fish is fresh and tasty, the inlaws love it. As for me,the taste is authentic, it brings me back to Bangkok. The people are friendly. The price is slightly above the normal but the quality of food and service is excellent.
Amazing food and service! Cheap happy hour drinks too. The pad mama was sooo good!
This is a thai restaurant in Aperia mall. The food are quite 👍, I haven't try alot of dishes yet. But the boat soup noodle and fried hor fun are very nice 😋. This restaurant is link to a thai supermarket aswell, quite a unique concept. After your meal, you can also check out the supermarket to buy some mama instant noodle 😃.
😊 eating thai food
We had dinner at Folk Collective/ Slurp at Aperia Mall. We tried the beef boat noodle, pineapple rice and chicken satay. The chicken satay is delicious. Boat noodle is spicy. Portion is ok, good for 1 person. Overall yhe food is delicious, but maybe msg a bit too much.
Stopped by for dinner. Used to patronise the Shenton Way outlet and still remember the food there fondly. Happy to say I was not disappointed by the Aperia outlet - everything was tasty and service was fast and attentive, though it was a busy weekday evening for the restaurant. Definitely recommend!
Sister branch of original Folks collective at Chinatown with a smaller and different menu.
Best pork skewers i’ve had! Food and service is just as amazing as the cross street exchange outlet. Best happy hour drink prices i’ve seen in a long time.
Better food quality then other Thai in the mall. Price on the expensive side
Hands down best Thai food in Singapore. Thai owned and operated. As authentic as you can get.
Food is good but portion is too small for the price. Hope they can make their portions bigger!
Great authentic meal with extensive drinks. Enjoyed for afterwork meal.
Food was good but waiting time was a bit long due to the crowd
