Nestled in this comfortable coffee-shop is Fong Hup Koka noodle. It may not have as flashy a signboard as the cai fan / cze char stall beside it, but it's become my go-to for a comforting bowl of noodles. While I don't think there's anything super special about it, and admittedly at $4.50 the prices are a bit higher than average, I've really enjoyed both the maggie-mee and yi-mian versions of their regular Koka soup noodles. There's something about the broth that's not too salty, with a touch of pepper, and tastes very homey. I also like their gentle-tasting chilli. Each bowl is freshly prepared individually with a decent amount of minced pork, veggies, and a freshly cracked egg. It's the kind of noodle perfect for those cooler rainy mornings. It's a highly recommended from me!
