Reviews of Fong Sheng Hao 豐盛號 Nex
We ordered the pork floss & egg toast + Pork chop egg toast for breakfast which was average but the coffee and milk tea was good!
food was prepared relatively quick, fast service.
We felt that it was overpriced and might just be more worth it with the set meal on weekdays! overall enjoyed our breakfast 😊
Had it for dinner on a Friday night at nex. I think the queue system is kinda funny as the cashier counter was at the other end and not facing the main Entrance. We didn't know about this and although signages were put up, it was kinda small and we miss it completely.. Do remember that you will need to find seats first before ordering at the cashier counter so yah... The staff there did called out to customers to find seats first but I think its kinda messy as people were still crowding at the main Entrance waiting to be brought into the place.
Food wise.. I think it's kinda normal. Nothing to shout about.. There is certainly a lot of choices for their toast menu but after eating it, I think it's average. The lu rou fan tasted not bad, but it's abit salty and there are better ones out there.
Will be back again to give it another go for their other dishes on the menu.
I like the sandwiches and coffee/tea you can get at this place - authentic Taiwanese style of good quality. Nice comfy place for breakfast/snack by yourself or small group, especially if you wish to have a quiet place in a packed NEX mall. Service was good & fast too.
The only issue I can see with this place is the price, I think most people would be put off by the pretty high price point. If they have priced it somewhere similar to Toast Box or Yakun, they could perhaps draw a larger crowd.
Nice ambience! Surprisingly, the star of my breakfast is the Charcoal toasted bread! Kopi is so-so with a unique sweetness and the sandwiches are a tad bland for me. A little salt for the patty should do the job!
The sweet tasting sandwiches are totally unexpected. Will be back again to explore their lunch selections!
Kopi time !
Shop just located on B2 near the bus terminal and beside 7-11
Just ordered coffee and a butter-kaya toast since we already ate lunch earlier.
Their coffee is really good and nicely roasted. Love their coffee here. Another option if you want to have a cuppa good kopi 👍🏼
Famous for charcoal-grilled toast, as seen in photo. I love their toasts and milk tea, both hot and cold ones. Awarded top 10 must-eat breakfast in Taiwan! I read that they started as a street food stall in the famous Shilin night market. If you miss Taiwanese breakfast, this is arguably the most authentic experience you can get in SG!
Ordered the toast spicy pork egg & cheese sandwich and pork floss egg wrap.
Quite nice as it was servd warm.
However, the pork was pathetic, very think slice.
Taiwanese cafe - ordered pork toast set with coffee for tea break. The toast comes with sliced pork, egg omelette and cheese. Bread is well toasted. Coffee is just $1 top up with the toast so very worth it. Served by Serene who was very polite and checked in with us to ensure the food was ok. The cafe had warm lighting, decorated with overhanging plants. Overall, a pleasant place to chill or catch up with friends.
Easy to find a seat on weekday evening, nice atmosphere. Order at counter and get a queue buzzer for self collection. 卤肉饭 is average, popcorn chicken was good.
Was here for brunch with a friend, both of us are wheelchair users here for the first time. Staff was really nice to arrange a more spacious area for us. My friend mentioned the space towards the cashiering counter was very narrow and leading to downward steps, this could be dangerous for wheelchair users. Would be good to be accompanied by a person without disabilities here and help to place your order and make payment on your behalf.
Food wise, we had the Feng Sheng Hao Sandwich. It was said to be a limited dish, so I guess we are still fortunate to be able to try. This sandwich had peanut butter, egg omelette, pork cutlet, potato with cabbage salad and a few slices of tomatoes. I would say it is a very balanced meal and could easily fill a very hungry person. The downside would be that it's quite challenging to keep it from falling apart while eating.
Overall was still a good experience.
Love the braised pork rice! Perfect comfort food on a cold, rainy day 🥰 somehow it didn’t feel too fatty and oily, even for a health nut like myself!
Didn’t enjoy the milk tea though. It doesn’t taste like the regular bubble tea we get locally. But I guess it’s a matter of personal preference!
Came here for afternoon tea. The hot tea was soothing and milky. This is my first time having peanut butter bread this way-2 layers of bread buttered with ghee/margarine and lots of sugared crushed peanuts on top. Love the interior!
𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗼 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 ~𝟯.𝟱 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝘀 😏
𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝘾𝙪𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙝: Love that the toasted bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It wasn't overly toasted/crispy.
First bite into the spicy chicken cutlet does reminds me of McSpicy but less spicy and less oily version. I thought the flavours were pretty good without being overwhelmingly oily.
Also contains melty cheese which is always a plus in my food 👌.
𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙠 𝙏𝙚𝙖 was pretty strong and not overly milky. Okay but cup is very small, about 2/3 of the usual bbt cup.
Did not try their pork cutlet although it's their Signature dish as most online reviews said it tasted like bak kwa.
$$$ Set Meal with milk tea $10.20
Ala Carte $9.50
The service is okay.
A variety of taiwanese toast sets to choose from. I had the pork & egg toast with milk tea and add on $1 for a hash brown. There are rice and other taiwanese snacks as well. Nice place for a quick meal all day long from breakfast, tea time to dinner.
Today afternoon at the shop, I m writing here as very impressed with your staff Jia Wei very helpful and pleasant service going the extra answered very well my other questions when I needed Google direction a destination (during her break time is so sacrificial using her own time) and besides also guided me on hot coffee (I can’t take sugar) to finalised my order Kopi C makes me so happy. Sometimes it’s hard to encounter such helpful and giving personality staff that makes my day so I hope she be well rewarded for her effort. I be back again n hope to see her. Other staff also shows pleasant makes environment friendly. Any further feedback if want, I be glad to update again.
For this price I would have preferred to eat at a restaurant n pay more or less the same. The food was mediocre, eaten better braised pork rice (卤肉饭) in Taiwan. Don't really blame them as the rental (landlords are the biggest crocodile) is the biggest component in the whole business.
Great coffee and cosy environment.
Will be even better If the staff can be more careful if people are still consuming their meals, stop the cleaning first.
卤肉饭 taste was ok, just too oily to my liking due to the proportion of the fatty and lean meat. Toast is normal. Perhaps, expected more or i may not have ordered their speciality.
1st time trying out this cafe the toast bread with ham and cheese set with coffee C kosong $7.20.
Extra coffee at $1.90
Toast is crisp on the surface and soft inside. Coupled with the ham and cheese, I enjoyed eating.
A coffee is served in a small cup and it thick with mild acidic.
Pricing is a bit of the high side. Small place and it get filled up fast during peak hours.
Our weekly go to place for casual breakfast and brunch dining. Great staff who goes all the way out to keep the customer satisfied by ensuring cleanliness and seat availability during peak periods!
Service by Serene Chang was remarkable! She is polite and helpful. Right attitude in service line will make customer to revisit again and again. Good Job and keep it up!! Cheers!!
Glad they have another outlet in Singapore now. However, the taste seems to be slightly different compared to the 1st outlet at PLQ. To me, the same toast and coffee tasted nicer at PLQ. Maybe it will change for the better when the staffs get more experience.
This place is located very near to 7-eleven and mcdonald's within Nex. We had floss egg pancakes and a cup of black tea for $9.50. A little pricey considering the serving was small but good enough for a snack.
Excellent food representative of Taiwan. Recommended to get the set meal.
Good service and professional. Would like to commend the staff bothered to fill up my kopi c to the brim, the first time it was 80% but he took the time to make new coffee and fill the cup properly instead of just passing to me. Food always came hot and nice as well. Kudos to the team!
Good milk tea & main. Very expensive for street food.
My family and I like their food. Smell great and taste great too (& sweet). As it is sweet, we will avoid eating too much and too many times a week. Prices are a bit higher than hawker's or kopitiam's.
Food was ok only. Can give it a try if you really miss Taiwanese food.
Very tasty. Affordable. Convenient location. 👍 One of many strong food outlets at Nex.
Nice quality food, reasonable price, friendly service staff
Ordered Hot Wok noodles, soup base is ok but the pork belly smells. Maybe didn’t wash properly or it’s not fresh.
We had the popcorn chicken rice and lu rou fan set. The lu rou fan was really tasty and the portion was just nice for a meal. The popcorn chicken tastes decent but the overall bowl itself is still above average. Milk tea was really like Taiwan milk tea too (unlike Singapore bubble tea kind)
Cashier malaysian service staff! Great service!
Love their breakfast bread spread and their beverages.
Nice ambience. Good for catch up with friends. Area is small but nice. Will come again
Toast is ok but it is quite expensive
Excellent service. Food is fantastic 😊
coffee very nice
A place for a quick breakfast. Just not many options but the toast is really good. The rice meal is just average
Really yum food love the handmade pork patty toast and teh C.
Good Taiwan food... The Taiwan milk tea n ice black tea are good
Good sandwiches but at a high price.
Teh ,coffee taste nice
Great food n service
The toast was delicious. The clerk is very kind. There was a clerk named Jiahao who helped me order. He was very patient and introduced me to the food on the menu one by one. My family and I will definitely come again!
The employees inside are very nice, especially an employee named Jiahao, who has a very good service attitude👍🏼 The food is good, the black tea, milk tea and coffee are delicious, but the sausage is a bit expensive.
I often see Fengshenghao on Facebook, and finally tried it😄 I like the decoration in the store, it has a Taiwanese flavor. The braised pork rice and salted crispy chicken rice are both within the standard. The milk tea has a strong milky flavor, and the tea has a charcoal roasting aroma. The thick toast is good, and the fried egg steak is paired with peanut butter. The alternating sweet and salty taste is very layered.
Eating delicious braised pork rice on Friday night will really make you feel happy😃
