Reviews of Frienzie Bar & Bistro
Really cool laid back venue - live music and exceptionally big portions of food for the price! Definitely great value and friendly service
I had dinner at Café Frienzie and ordered the sambal shrimp as an appetizer and crabmeat pasta for the main course. The sambal shrimp was excellent, with a familiar Peranakan spiciness complemented by sweet onions. The crabmeat pasta had a decent amount of crabmeat, and the pasta was infused with a sweet, garlicky flavor. It's a great option for anyone who loves crabmeat but doesn't want the hassle of deshelling. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The live performance by two female artists also added a pleasant touch to the evening.
One of the go to places to have an evening drink. Place is situated along Punggol river, overlooking river delta. Musics (with DJ) start playing later at night, with sports channel displayed till closing. Cocktails were mediocre (they do not do special orders) and alcoholic beverages were sufficiently comprehensive. Finger food only starts after 11pm, serve time was rather slow. Good venue to bring your date to. Non-airconditioned seatings only.
Good place to chill with affordable beer options. Good promotions during happy hour. Wide varieties of food with live band. Although mainly Western food, they do have Asian and kids menu. Mocktails are $12 per glass and cocktails are $15 per glass. They do have martinis and flaming lamboghini which is priced at $35. Spacious location with ample seatings to choose from during off peak hours.
It is my favorite get together drinking place. Nice food and nice band. Love it.
Located right next to PCN.
If you are coming from Senkang and going towards Punggol this will be right in middle.
There handful of restaurants around.
Usually crowded on Friday and Saturdays evenings.
If you are coming by LRT align at Rivera LRT and this is place is about 2-3 min walk and not covered. So little difficult to walk when raining.
Nice environment, and friendly staff... the food is good as well... good for chilling out with friends
Decent place to hang out and have a drink. One guy was promoting US Oyster, to my surprise, was huge in size.
Place to chill out with daily happy hours from 4-7. Next to river and airport if you like to watch jet plane.
If only the mugs were chilled for beer served here.
Came with 3 other friends. 3+1 pint promo for $40. 6 oysters for $38, it’s fresh! Smoked bbq pork ribs.. is a little hard and bbq taste isn’t strong. Corn served as side dish was tasteless. Pepperoni pizza was great, generous cheese. Sirloin steak.. average.. not flavourful. Our seat location isn’t great. We were perspiring while eating. Waiter forgotten my ice water, probably too busy. However, great songs from live band!
Nice outdoor seating with big portion delicious meal. Happy hour is great 🍺
Server missed out 1 main
Prices slightly steep although it's ok
Ordered 1 tower and 3+1 Guinness pint and some regular drinks.
Satay and Wings must order
Beef is succulent and juicy
Very relax. There is a 2 person band playing. Not sure is it a regular affair. Quite engaging. The food is good too. Sorry wasn't able to mention price because wasn't paid by me...haha...but from what I saw from the menu it is quite average.
I only ever come here for their $10 Guinness promo (need to order in groups of 4 pints). Food is okay but pricey, normal bar prices.
Came here quite often but went here recently during the world cup season. They now have a World Cup promo, I think about $80 for 2 pints, a main and appetiser which we felt was quite expensive. You need to buy this package to sit in front of the screens so we opted to sit at the side where you can’t watch football but it’s fine.
There’s usually live music on the weekends, but music taste is sometimes not to everyone’s liking.
Enjoyed the nachos and the ribs. Unfortunately the pork chops were too thin and too tough.
Food is ok, nothing to complain.
Have to patience during peak time to wait for the food to be served.
Service is average, nothing to complain about.
Live band is good.
Nice chill place to relax and catch up with old friends. Happy hour on Thursday.
Food, service and music all not bad. Nice place to chill for weekend.
Food not bad. Before 7pm have "happy hour" beer...
Good ambient but very disappointed with the menu on a Sunday evening. Wanted pizza and garlic bread and was told no bread and local delight for today! Service really needed to improved. Felt very neglected seated inside, hard to get staff attention!
Great live band on Fridays.
Service used to be better pre covid. That is for sure. It was not really crowded. But food took more than half hr to arrive.
Frenzie burger was good. Meat was juicy. Fish & chips was good as well. Even the kids meal F&C was of a good portion. Was disappointed with the Lamb burger tho. Meat was tough.
Cosy comfy environment, like the spacious alfresco dining. Nice pl to hv gathering n chill out. They serve pretty nice prawn paste chicken wing, like the appetizer more than the main. Wine r really expensive, cheapest house pour bottle of red wine cost abt $96. Super ex if u wanna hv a drink there. Overall rating 80/100 base on whole dining experience. Food 60/100, Ambience/Dining experience 85/100, Price 60/100.
Pet friendly and staff took the initiative to give us another chair (not the same chairs as those used by customers) for my dog to sit on. Happy hour till 8pm is worth the price - got a pint of Heineken for $6.50 and a pint of Erdinger for $7.50. However the food were a bit more on the pricey side. The seafood marinara ($18) was a little salty, with only 2 mussels, 2 prawns and 1 sotong. The lamb chop ($28) was good though! Nice ambience at night.
Nice ambience. A tad warm because outdoors on a warm day.
Food was so so. Ordered the sirloin steak medium but didn't turn out to be medium.
Bottle of Jacob's creek moscato rosa at 65 bucks. Had to repeat my order 3 times to the service staff. Think he was new.
Great views beside the river. Relaxed and cool place to chill out. Opens 4pm but only finger food until 6pm. Happy hours not a bad deal. Food is pricey but that's probably because of location.
Food quality is passable and drinks are not too cheap. There are a variety of insects lurking around but that's just because it's near to nature. Good place to hang out and chill with friends.
Relatively affordable prices for beers especially if you make it in time for happy hour. Food is a little pricey, but the beer promo makes up for it. Lots of space so you don't feel cramped. I usually drop by while cycling along the PCN. Haven't been disappointed.
Service needs abit of attention, food is what u get from a gastro bar i suppose…many staff walking around but hard to get the attention..alot seems to be in lala land until you shout to get attention for sharing plates, chilli sauce but generally nothing in a complaining mode..food was prompt though and be back soon:)
Have been there several times. The food is average and the service needs a lot of improvement. Even the male cashier has an attitude problem. The chairs are old and always leaves a itch on the hands and thighs. Complacency kicks in after all these years.
Nice place to chill with friends and family. But the waiters keep giving us the wrong orders.. perhaps need to be more organised? Happy hour on fri is up to 7pm.
Great al fresco dining location to have a bite and beer.
Had fish and chips, the fish batter is pretty tasteless.Service was efficient and food was prepared fast nevertheless.
Nice singer and guitarist. Good for family dinner.
Enjoy the live songs there. Good place for chill out. The food is only so so.
Food is hit and miss. Waiting times can be long during weekends. Good ambience and location though. If you're looking for a place with a good view for a coupla beers then this is the place if you're around the area I guess. I hate the music played though (top 40s/EDM/Kpop mash-up kinda stuff).
Pricey but food is good.
Live band tonight was awesome.
Nice ambience by the side of the river. Open air view overseeing the trees and canopies across the river gave a relaxing and chilling mood to the environment, not much area in Singapore that offers less of the concrete jungle feel and more of the forested view. For cider lovers, Finish your night with frienzie tropical beer - a tantalizing pineapple beer.
Fish and chips is good. Chicken wing is best.
Nice place to chill and hang out with friends. Happy hour till 8pm but the Buy 3 get 1 free Guinness is for whole night.
Nice chilled out place, if not for the mosquitoes.
Ordered Calamari rings today. I swear i could kill you by throwing the Calamari rings at your head.
Have been to this place for years and it never ceases to amaze me.
Great location, great vibe, live band, great food and drinks and great service
Great place for Pokemon (at night only though). You can hit up 2 pokestops which have lures on them perpetually all the time. Dratini appear here.
The place have sandflies... Me n all my fren tio...😭😭😭 Not going to go there anymore...
The whole eateries compound where Frienzie is located is very much alive and kicking. Glad to see people are coming back. Food and drinks are quite standard .
Probably the cheapest happy hour draught beer in Singapore. Chill ambience with lush greenery nearby and away from the hustle and bustle.
Great place for a laid back meeting ! The atmosphere is just right, tables are far enough apart to discuss business without whispering, great food and sensible prices !
A good place for friends to get together, comfort place to watch World cup and it serves various beverages.
Great food, drinks, service is superlative with fantastic ambience, staff super friendly
The live singing was amazing
Cool place to cheers out for a beer. Restaurants there are very expensive.
Great food. Lighting is a bit on the dimm side (dinner) ... Too dimm.
New menu is amazing. Service is excellent.
Happy hour got Guiness promo.
A beautiful gathering place for young people
