Reviews of Fu Lin Men Cantonese Dining (Chinese Swimming Club)
Frankly speaking, I won’t be coming back here. With the chef changed. Food was average and i had food poisoning from the fish maw soup. Roast pork and char siew not good at all. Roast pork had a very strong unpleasant smell. Dim sum was normal. Nothing worth complimenting.
Definitely not worth coming back.
We booked 5 tables at Fu Lin Men @ Chinese Swimming Club to celebrate our father 80th birthday. Thank you to Ivy & her team for making this event so successful. Our guests feedback the food very nice n good portion. Staffs very friendly , polite, good service. 🙏👏👍
It's decent Cantonese place tucked in a swimming club. They have their regular bunch of patrons that belong to the older generation. I find the place well lit and welcoming.
I also appreciate their efforts in plating and decoration of food. Dim sum was decent at the price point. Generally a good place to go bsck again
We come for a Lou Hei celebrations lunch. The food is absolutely amazing. All taste good and service is great. Since its full house. The serving is a bit slow but overall it's excellent service. Really enjoy the good quality dishes and all the fun that the staff give us. Keep up the good work ! I think yum chai is also very good and booking is essential!
Celebrated mom's 80th birthday. Top notch quality sharks fin, lobster, sea cucumber, etc. Beautifully presented complimentary longevity buns. Staff were very attentive & accommodating. Thank you for making it so memorable!
All the food were nice except the fish. The fish wasn't quite tender and my grandma thought it was not fully cooked. I think its the meat texture of a not so good quality fish... Nonetheless, still a good place to bring families to.
First time ever tried Pekin Duck and oh my it was good. Serving was nice and the dish was very good. Not too much of the food because we ordered half of the duck just right. I would go there again to try other dishes as well.
Went for the lunch course meal. Good services and food is awesome !
A lovely dining experience. The food is delicious and the service rendered by the staff is personable and attentive. We had the 1 For 1 Chef's Lobster Set (photo attached) $118++ for 2 which is value for money. Will be back
Had the dim sum during lunch and it was not satisfactory. Food was mediocre and not worth the price at all.
Their roasted meats were way too fatty and was not enjoyable.
The branch at Kitchener Road is way better - in terms of ambience, food quality and portions. The fish tasted good but looked like it’s meant for 6pax rather than for 10pax. The abalone was tiny and money bag didn’t taste as good as the ones we had at Kitchener. Disappointing.
Came here with my family for mum's 70th birthday. Great service and family friendly toilet. Got no complaints about their food. Their Peking duck is a must have!
No dine in during this Cov19 period. The take away food is just as good as dining in. The Peking duck and steam fish is awesome, everyone back home everyone is tremendously. Is a must try
Very fresh dim sum and great service. Baby and kid friendly. Will likely become our local dim sum venue of choice!
Felt rushed - they kept wanting to clear our plates when we are not done. It is not even 830pm.
Good food. Nice ambient for meet up with friends. Service staff very friendly .
Great respect to the head waitress who correctly advised us on ordering too much (eyes bigger than stomach syndrome when hungry.)
Excellent dim sum and exemplary service. Largest siew mai that I've seen in a while, so really great value for money.
This is my first visit and the Service was Welcoming and fast Ivy manager was very kind and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Had a wonderful birthday lunch celebration for my mum on a Sunday afternoon. Kes ,the manager was very helpful from the moment I made the reservation till the actual day. The service staff Cindy and Meixiang were excellent and very thoughtful. Food was generally quite good with the Peking duck being my favourite. Kudos to the entire team of honest service staff who found the wallet my mum accidentally left behind at the restaurant. Will return to try other food items on the menu.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurant by far in my list. For me I seldom write review unless is super good or super bad. Fu Lin Men @ chinese swimming club has excellent food & customer service. To have both good quality food & customer service are hard to come by these days. This is indeed a gem. The waitresses & waiters are well-mannered & attentive. Kef the manager who took our order was very courteous & not pushy. She even asked her staff to help us took a family photo at the entrance of the restaurant; very proactive. We really enjoyed our lunch on that day, will surely be back. Well done Kef & staffs, keep up the good work & continue to shine brightly in this F&B industry..Cheers !
We tried many restaurants in spore & most are quite nice in term of food & service but top of the table I shall say its Fu Lin Men. We had a small event here and we are so impressed by their services & attention towards customers. Especially the restaurant manager Kes👍👍 she constantly checking with us and give us the assurance that everything is in order. Special thanks to her!! Food wise, basically all the 8 courses are all good👍. Our guests love it!! We will come back for sure!!
Our family is so glad to have come here for dinner. Whereas it was it's reputation that drew us here, we have discovered that the quality of food, cozy ambience and excellent service is what really makes this restaurant stand out from its competitors. Thank you Kes and staff for providing such a comforting venue in the current climate
I hosted my solemnization dinner here with family and some close friends. The manager Kes was extremely helpful and facilitated the entire private event very professionally!
Everything from the ambience and decor; to the food and beverages served was top notch. A lot of happy faces that evening.
Though it's located at the Singapore Chinese Swimming Club, non-members are welcome and there's complimentary parking too!
Would definitely recommend this venue for authentic Cantonese cuisine that is value for money. Thanks Kes for your help!
Came here for the first time and had the lobster set. Food was good and service and staff were extremely helpful. No MSG in the food. Though it's located in the Chinese Swimming Club non members are welcome too and it's free parking.
First, they have an elder HK chef master who
Direct and assure the quality of the dishes.
Never disappointed with simple but yet tasty Dim Sum dished out to your taste buds.
Their black vinegar pig trotters taken while it's hot will rejunivate any confined new mothers.
It's so GOOD that it's my favourite dish eaten with white rice. So goood 🥢🥢.
Dropped by the Chinese Swimming Club for a fabulisious true fine Cantonese dining.
So delicious!! Waiters and waitresses were super professional and friendly.
We ordered 5 dishes for 4 people. More than generous portions. I'd come back again for sure!
During this social distancing period, the swim club and restaurant are very good about temperature checks, sanitizing and keeping everyone 1 meter apart. Kas and Stephen were great hosts and provided delicious suggestions. If we had come with more ppl we would have tried more dim sum dishes. We ordered a noodle too. Very authentic Cantonese style cooking from an ABC who frequents Hong Kong. During the weekday it's not too crazy for dim sum. Will report back on the weekend.
Cant wait to try the egg tarts and dinner entrees next time.they do take away too.
Peking duck is excellent (current 30% off @ $56). 1 duck 3 dishes: wrap (skin), served with herbal sauce (wings, thigh), and stir fry (breast meat). Made me realize that other restaurants stole the wings and thigh portions from me...
On March My husband and I have hosted our wedding in the restaurant. Sound impossible ?! But it really happened! Thank to the help of the outlet manager , Kes , our wedding was a great success. Kes and her team have transformed the restaurant, turning into a fairyland for my wedding - nice decoration for the table and chairs , props for the March in and including the wedding cake! Kes was very patient as she guided us through the wedding ceremony. Once again, thank you everyone for helping us on that day and many days before the actual ceremony. 🥰🥰
Quite an unassuming restaurant. Has good service, attentive wait staff and very engaging supervisor. Food is familiar Cantonese with a touch of updated contemporary style so it doesn't feel and taste boring. What's nice is the place isn't too crowded and noisy as well.
One of the best accommodating restaurant! The food is super good. Staff are super friendly. Kudo to Kes, the manager for this restaurant . Her professional service and attitude truly made my day!
Will definitely visit this restaurant again to try more of their dishes. Strongly recommend this place for everyone!
We like the ambience at Fu Lin Min Restaurant (Chinese Swimming Club) and the quality of food served is good too. As always, we are very pleased with the excellent services provided by Ms Kes Ng (Restaurant Manager). She is helpful, prompt and patient, even with our last minute reservations, thanks Kes!
It's a nice and relax atmosphere.
They serve Cantonese Dim Sum.
Not oily but just nice for the tasty Bite.
But it's a must try for the Black Vinegar Pork trotters pain taking boiled and cook that
Explains why It's so GOOD MORNING feeling.
Not so "kiam or sng " . It's that Good
Fantastic Dim Sum and Cantonese Cuisine. The Claypot Fish with Ginger and Spring Onion tasted great. The fish was fresh and dishes are cooked without MSG. One of the best restaurant serving Dim sum in the east of Singapore. Free carpark coupon for diners.
Dinner for cantonese dishes there, my 1st visit and i will continue to go there, they cook the food are very tasty and unforgettable all the beautiful dishes presentations. Price were very reasonable. And the restrauant window view is extraordinary that i can see few big swimming pools.
This restaurant serves authentic Cantonese cuisine, nice ambience with a nice view of the pool. They also have awesome customer service and complimentary parking.
Will be back for more dinners!
This restaurant never fails. Thank you Fu Lin Men for making my wedding anniversary dinner with my wife another very special occasion. Food was excellent, and the staff were as usual, very friendly and attentive.
Went with family for dinner, ordered a la carte. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. The serving size is good and pricing is reasonable. Would certainly visit again!
Awesome service, great food! We had the yam basket, fried mee sua with seafood, beef, tofu and red bean pancake. Do support them!😋
Will go back to try their dim sum!
The food during our recent visit was quite a far cry from almost a decade ago when the food and ambience were great. Main reason I only took a phoro of the second course(ginseng soup) was because the rest of the dishes were subpar. Peking duck was passable, ee-fu mien (noodles) were way too watery, orh nee (yam paste dessert) was also so-so and the prawns were stale! Don't think we will booking Fu Lin Men any more for family meals.
My family and I visited on 21st Nov for lunch. The food was very nice and service excellent. Especially the Manager Cass was very helpful and overall made our visit pleasant and we will come back again.
Must try the pan-friend sea cucumber with minced pork in oyster. Best ever. The Sautéed diced fillet of beef with garlic and bbq sauce melts in mouth!
Service is good. Love the Peking Duck.
Manager of the restaurant is top notch. I will recommend this place for a lovely family dinner.
Nice n cosy place to dine in. Kes is the person to look for. Very patient n accommodating. Nice food n the peking duck is simply great.
Great food... service was great at the start but got too busy... been better during previous visits... overall good experience
Visited with a large group of colleagues and business partners for CNY lunch. Great ambience, service and food!
Peking duck and stir fried beef cube were exceptional. All dishes were good.
Great tasting food, awesome service. Would definitely return again.
Good service, reasonable price n standard of food well maintained.
Decent canto food with a nice ambience
food was good, some dishes were a tad salty
Lovely food and reasonably priced
Friendly service and awesome food!
Love the authentic cantonese food
Nice tim sum.
Peking duck is 298 dollars per whole, and we came for two people, so we couldn't order it because of the quantity. We ordered a lot of things, but nothing special except for the soft shell crab. It was average. I don't think I'll go back. It would be better to go for hand-in-hand.
As a Cantonese restaurant, the food is quite good, the price is very reasonable and close to the people. The environment is very good and quiet, the service is very good and attentive, and they will always refill the tea. The food, especially their barbecued pork, is not greasy or too sweet. Highly recommended
The food is delicious, especially the cream lobster, shark bone soup, and fried noodles. The price is reasonable, the service is attentive, and the waiters are always there to serve you. It makes people feel warm and the environment is quiet and clean. It is a good choice for dining and entertaining guests.
The dim sum is delicious, the waiters are very friendly, the traffic is not bad, there are many people on Sundays, it is better to go on weekdays.
