Reviews of Griglia Open Fire Italian Kitchen - Craig Road
Our year end feasting has begun and we are so glad that we chose Griglia to start with. Service was warm and friendly from the start.
Everything we ordered was excellent! The Spanish Turbot was yummy and the Angus Striploin was perfection in Medium. I will definitely be back for that!
For pasta we had the ravioli and mafaldine. Both delicious but ohmygod the Mafaldine is divine!
Our sides, kale, roasted potatoes and lettuce were perfectly seasoned and done.
Will definitely come back and next time will include desserts!
Came here for their set lunch and topped up for supplements. Highlights were the focaccia (didn’t get pictures of this cause we inhaled 2 rounds of them), burratina, scallops and pork collar. Staffs were very attentive and friendly. Also liked that they highlighted any extra charges up front. Will visit again!
Had an anniversary lunch with wife on a rainy sunday.
We were greeted warmly as we stepped in.
Restaurant is clean and lights were well dimmed with sufficient lights provided for each table.
Food and drinks were served accordingly and well timed.
Everything was spaced out perfectly.
Negroni was well curated.
Ordered the 2 person sharing set.
Focaccia with the rosemary olive oil was delish.
Scallops with white corn was delightful.
Sicilian tomatoes were good but the oil used was a bit heavy on the taste bud but all was good.
Fusilli with crab and spicy nduja gravy was above our expectation.
Angus striploin and the side dishes was perfect.
Very filling till we had to take away the leftovers. :)
Capri in a cake is very lemony. Was surprised with a small glass of lemon alcoholic beverage to end the meal. (forgot to ask for the name of the drink)
A photo of me and my wife were thoughtfully taken and given.
Great thanks to the chefs and service crews esp Nel, Rao and the lady who kept our drinks. (Didnt catch your name :) )
Food was great, service was exceptional. Very attentive team always ready and open to feedback. Pace dishes were served - seamless. Overall, it was a great dining experience.
We had a large group, and that's probably what you'll need to do when visiting the restaurant.
The server recommended a variety of foods, maybe too much of the same, but we somehow managed 😄. Do try the sides, but save some space for the beef.
Between the beef dishes, I'd prefer the Waygu.
Ordered the Porterhouse and Octopus Fusili - very flavourful and smokey! Sauces complemented the steak well and octopus was well cooked.
Our server, Chin, delivered wonderful service too - very attentive and gave a great recommendation for the red wine! We had a nice birthday treat too in the form of a printed picture.
Highly recommend this place for grilled meats and great service!
Lamb chops were so lovingly done, as are the cocktails. However, I didn't enjoy their rendition of the tiramisu, with chocolate cake replacing the savoiardi biscuits. The waitress was too earnest with removing my plates before we had finished.
Dinner set menu was great, nicely curated for us to enjoy their best dishes. Highly recommend the Porterhouse and Pistachio Molten Lava.
Lawrence and Chin served us when we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A different italian style restaurant whereby porchetta was ordered and wow, nice, juicy, tender pork was served! My little picky eater liked their spaghetti and scallops and asked for more. If she approves the food, it means the food is really nice. Pistachio lava cake was served for our dessert and it was really different from the usual chocolate lava cake. Would come again!
Apologies to the Griglia team for the delayed review and it is to say that the experience i had at Griglia was out of the world, and that i still remember it 2 weeks later today. Took my cousin to Griglia for her birthday celebration and i'm happy i did as the team did not disappoint. Grazie mille ! Many thanks Ananth, Chin & Gilbert ! I can't wait to return.
For the food, it was my second visit & would recommend to go for their porterhouse (order potatoes with it), focaccia bread, and tiramisu, pistacchio molten lava cake. If you have the bandwidth, their set menu offer a great selection but was too much food for 2 gym girlies.. Had better pasta but its just personal preference. Would suggest to skip the bone marrow.
Food & Service was awesome. That porterhouse was grilled to perfection! No regrets n will definitely come back to savour the other dishes!
Really enjoyed my time here with my friends. Great ambience and food! Highly recommend the porterhouse - grilled to perfection. We enjoyed the pasta (Pappardelle & crab Fusilli). Thank you chin for making sure our time here is an enjoyable one💕👍🏻
celebrated my friend’s birthday at griglia (craig road) tonight 🫶🏻 loved the pasta dishes as well as the cappuccinomisu 😋 special shoutout to rao for his great service & for capturing pictures of us on this special night 🙏🏻😊 will be revisiting this restaurant!

We had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite restaurant, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. We were seated at a high table that was nicely separated from the rest of the dining area, providing an intimate and comfortable atmosphere.
The signature set for two offered tremendous value for money, showcasing the restaurant’s culinary prowess. The amuse-bouche truly lived up to its name, amusing my palate with its originality. The taste was refreshingly simple yet delightful, highlighting the fresh ingredients rather than the usual complex and often overpowering flavors found in typical amuse-bouches.
Our server, Chin, demonstrated remarkable hospitality and flexibility. Upon our request, she kindly substituted our appetizer from the Fusilli to eggplant. This turned out to be an excellent choice, as the eggplant dish was prepared to perfection and was incredibly flavorful.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the porterhouse steak. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and tender, and pairing it with the garlic sauce elevated the dish to new heights. I would highly recommend this combination to any steak lover.
To round off our meal, we indulged in the limoncello dessert, which was a delightful surprise. The twist of adding olive oil to the ice cream was innovative and created a unique and memorable flavor profile.
Overall, our dining experience was superb, marked by outstanding food, excellent service, and a warm and inviting ambiance. This restaurant is a true gem and a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure.
Amazing experience, the pasta was alright, the buffalo cheese was good. The porchetta was amazing. Love the juiciness of the meat and the crispiness of the skin. Matching it with the garlic spread was the best. Highly recommend to try this if you like pork. Would come back to try the lamb rack.
Excellent food at reasonable prices and a great ambience. Service was also top—notch as staff were enthusiastic and helpful.
Would highly recommend their Charcoal-Grilled Porterhouse and Charcoal-Grilled Fusilli (with Octopus) although their dishes were all hits.
Otherwise, for straight the Signature Set for Two as you’ll get your money’s worth.
Enjoyed the open kitchen concept. The staff actually encourage you to take a closer look if you’re interested in taking pictures/videos.
The place is an out of the ordinary Italian grill restaurant. The service is efficient and with a smile with a dash of humour. Anil deserves a special mention. Their mains are largely divided into Garden, Land and Sea. Limited vegetarian options but even a vegetarian won't regret as every dish was superb. We started with olives and bread. Just elevating simple dishes with craft is amazing. The recommended pasta dish as the mains was perfectly al dente and filled with flavours of 5 peppers. The sicilian tomatoes and baked eggplant were muah!
Service was excellent, food was incredible.
Ordered papadelle, turbot (fish), burrata, anchovies...
And free tiramisu for our birthdays! Which was sooooo gooood!
Good food with great service. Servers and hostess were attentive without being intrusive, almost everything we ordered were on point and the sides/condiments are done well too with thought put into it. Only drawback is that the place is quite cozy so can get quite noisy during peak dining hours, but this will not deter me from returning.
I really enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant. I would recommend the burrata cheese and tomahawk. I would like to specially thank Mel for her excellent service. She is friendly and energetic and took nice photos for us.
FOOD: The food is good, if not better than some of the similar, more famous restaurants in SG and reasonably priced.
-RECOMMENDED: Hokkaido Scallops Crudo, Wagyu Ribeye, Potato Purée
SERVICE: Chin's service is friendly and attentive. Chin also takes feedback seriously, and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we have an enjoyable dining experience.
THANK YOU again Chin, for the great service!
We would definately be back again.
I recently celebrated my anniversary at Griglia and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and made to feel special. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was exceptionally welcoming.
We opted for the set menu for two, which was both delicious and well-presented. Nel, who took care of our table, was outstanding. Her professionalism and knowledge about the menu were impressive, and she made sure we were comfortable throughout the evening.
As a lovely surprise, Nel printed a photo of us from the night and brought out a limoncello shot to toast our celebration. These thoughtful touches made the evening even more memorable. Highly recommended for a special occasion or a delightful dining experience!
Food is great especially open fire grilled, and there is no smoky smell in the restaurant. Dessert is also very good, not too sweet but flavorful.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed every course in the Signature Set for Two; taste & presentation were excellent. And I do want to call out the great service provided by Chona, Chin and Nel which made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Thank you 😊
Came here for Mother's Day with the Restaurant Week set lunch. Everything was amazing! Every single element of each dish was fresh and carefully paired. Loved the open kitchen concept, the grills gives the food a nice char. The service was lovely as well, they even printed out a photo of my mother and I as keepsake.
This place is nothing short of amazing. We got the valentines set for 2 and will definitely be back to try more dishes. The staff were super attentive - asking if the air conditioning was too cold for comfort and then adjusting it; making sure our glasses were always filled; letting us check the porterhouse before carving. We even got to see a little behind the scenes of chef preparing his signature eggplant dish. We will definitely be back
Excellent grilled food and it has just the right amount of charred burnt taste to it. Absolutely lovely. And my favourite is the pasta which somehow also has the grilled taste to it!
Overall an excellent experience with good food and good service. Will definitely visit again.
Service was very good. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Extra kudos to the young Malay/Indian lady server who was very attentive. Our slip up that we didn't ask for her name in order to recognize her excellent service. They had us seated near the kitchen, so managed to witness how they prepare the food. That area is slightly warmer, but good that we got to see the professionals at work. And since it was their anniversary, we were offered complimentary drinks.
Porterhouse = 5/5. Excellent, very well cooked and good on its own. Highly recommended.
Pappardella = 5/5. Also very good and fresh. Highly recommended.
Scallops = 4/5. Good and fresh.
Baby corn = 4/5. Nice, but might not be a good pairing with the steak as it is also grilled and charred.
When I googled for fabulous lunch deal, this place came up among a list of others. After checking further on their website, I decided to come here to have a lazy lunch to destress. We went for the lunch menu. Initially we were still not too sure how the food will turn out, but it turned out to be really impressive. We ended with the Capri in a cake to seal the deal. Besides the good food, the service is also meticulous.
Had the set lunch for my friend's birthday celebration and loved every course! Homemade tomato paste with rustic bread was delicious, coupled with the smooth ricotta. Pappardelle with pork jowl was heavenly and we ended off the meal with pork loin and capri cake 😊 Enjoyed the ambience + great service & friendly chef. Will definitely be back again!
Had a birthday celebration for my son there. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and my favourite was the scallops; felt like they elevated the scallops to another level with their smokiness and totally yummilicious! The staff were friendly and efficient, but as I had a big group of friends next to our table, it got really loud.. other than that, a really good night.
Went there for a birthday celebration a while ago. Ordered a set menu. Overall the food was pretty good with a lot of interesting ingredients. The portion was small though. The price is on the high side.
Had a wonderful Xmas dinner at Griglia! Place was wonderfully decorated and the food from the Xmas menu was really good, with my favourite dish being the Crab tagliolini. Service by Ram was also superb and he made sure that everything was attended to. Found out through him that this was also the sister restaurant of Zafferano and they are planning to open another outlet soon! Looking forward to be back to try out the other ala carte dishes!
2pax lunch @ griglia on 16.3.2024
foei gras chocolate lollipop is good
beef tartar with lots of parmigiano ok but beef have residue..not such a good cut
red prawn toast is good
beef carpaccio is good..the marinade is a bit salty supposed to be kumkuat tasted unusual but overall good
2pastas both good -
the pork (like bacon bits) pappardelle is very good and popular item 👍
the octopus fusili is also good, tasty, flamed
we added a eggplant..it is good not the best we had
overall quite good food..a bit overpriced at $171 for 2pax inc 2 wines
Nice cozy place with amazing Italian cuisines. Especially love the bone marrow and octopus dish. There is also a wide selection of beverages which I truly enjoy.
Being the sister restaurant of Zafferano, great service is expected; and Griglia didn’t disappoint! Staff was very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to bring my friends to this new restaurant!
The homemade focaccia was amazing, ordered 2 servings. We ordered the medium rare porterhouse for sharing - it was perfectly cooked and the 3 accompaniments were also great. Chin was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.
Amazing night at this cozy steak focused restaurant! Loving all the starters and the great selection of wine. We enjoyed the desserts as well - especially the tiramisu soufflé!!!! The steak we ordered was the porterhouse & rib eye for sharing.
This was a very pleasant discovery. The aubergine and pasta were exceptional, as was the seabass which was very nicely grilled - succulent but with just the right amount of char. We were undecided over dessert, and I'm glad I went with the recommendation of the cappuccinomisu. It was delicious. I particularly like the chocolate sponge base. Definitely coming back again.
My wife and I went to Griglia for lunch to celebrate our anniversary.
I had initially identified a few dishes, but eventually ordered the "signature set for two" menu, which allowed us to try out the different starters. No regrets! The quality of the food - even the starters - were SUPERB! We loved the starters especially the Eggplant and Pappa Al Pomodoro!
The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. They were also very knowledgeable about the foods and wine pairing (much to my wife's delight)
We also added $4 to switch one of the sides to the Gratinated Bone Marrow dish, and it was amazing!
We also enjoyed the ambience, and will definitely be back for more :)
Warm toasted bread is something I always appreciate from a restaurant. The service team offered great attention to their diners. Special mention on their eggplant which was really tasty! To add on the festive mood, they went extra mile to have photo taken and printed, free glass limoncello and panettone for all their diners. Indeed delightful Xmas Dinner.
Beautiful Christmas lunch we had here! It was a last minute reservation and the restaurant tried to make the arrangements for us. Given a corner seat with good privacy which makes our lunch experience feels exclusive . Their Christmas settings interior was nice and tasteful. Set lunch we delicious. Service was impressive. Will return soon!
Went here for dinner and had a nice time. Had the beef tartare and foie gras chocolate, then the bread with pureed tomato dressing for appetizers.
The porchetta was juicy and flavourful but it can still be improved by not charring the skin too much -- the bitter "top note" wasn't very pleasant at first bite.
The charcoal grilled baby corn was sweet, delicate, and fresh. It is an understated dish, but I highly recommend it as this complements any grilled meat.
The cappuccinomisu (a cross between capuccino and tiramisu) is a good choice for dessert. My date and I shared this, and it was sufficient. The cream foam was sprinkled generously with cocoa powder, and the chocolate cake layer blended nicely with the mascarpone layer. It's a nice way to end a heavy meal.
They served us prosecco for starters and limoncello for our digestif.
The service was top-notch, and the sales staff were attentive, polite, and warm.
I'd like to go back here to try their lunch sets 🙂
My family and i had such an amazing experience at Griglia - food was one of a kind, beautifully artisanal and the friendly yet extremely attentive service was just the icing on the cake.
We'll definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and can't wait to be back :)
Chin & Chona are the best service team you can ask for. You never need for anything, dining here. 100/100 would recommend! Food is also stellar — massive shout out to the head chef here. Never missed a beat!
Italian cuisine,
Open Fire meaning Outdoor Summer Grill,
Posh setting,
Extensive Menu with Unique Food Items,
Knowing that Griglia Open Fire Italian Kitchen has all these in place, I know I have to go there to check out this restaurant.
Since I’m here because of the Outdoor Summer Grill, of course I have to order an item from the Open Fire Grill menu. And 5 Pepper Crusted Canadian Pork Chop is my choice. The meat is juicy and so flavourful. The meat surface is grilled to perfection, to have the thin layer of caramelized char flavour of wood and smoke to enhance the overall taste, without overdoing it. And I also love the bunch of sea grapes that comes with the meat. These pops of umami refreshes the palate, so that I can enjoy the gamey flavours of the meat more.
Rustic Bread goes very well with Piennolo Tomato Sauce. I like it that it’s something different from the usual Olive Oil. But I still like Olive Oil nonetheless.
Hokkaido Scallop Crudo White Corn Amalfi Lemon Capers Sauce has me swooning over how good it is. Fresh plump scallops works perfectly with the Amalfi Lemon Capers Sauce for the harmony and complexity in taste. And the white corn deserves a special mention too. Lightly grilled and soaked with the sauce, this sweet corn is so unbelievably good. My companion, who avoids eating veggies, actually finishes up the corn before I can steal in for another bite!
Spaghetti Di Martino Dotterino Tomatoes Italian Seawater is very good. Al dente spaghetti holds lots of flavours due to the sweet tomatoes and the seawater. This dish tends more towards the sweet side over savoury.
But I have to say House-Made Tagliolini Scilian Red Prawn Sardinian Bottarga is the one that impress me more. Not only it impresses me more, it totally makes a big impression on me. Incredibly intense in taste, the tagliolini is bursting with the rich flavours of the sea. The thin texture and eggy flavour of the tagliolini is perfect match with the springy, smooth, umami-rich flesh of Scilian Red Prawn. This is a must-try.
I’m going to head out to a ice-cream parlor nearby after a sumptuous meal here, but somehow, I feel that I got to try a dessert here to complete the experience. And so I did. I’m really glad that I made the right decision. Capri in a Cake Limoncello Caprese Amalfi Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil is unlike any dessert I had. The cake sponge is so soft, fluffy and moist, it is like baked sweet eggy cloud. I love the generous amount of lemon custard sandwiched between the cake sponged. Made with super fresh lemons, it is creamy yet refreshing, balancing the sweet taste of the cake sponge and ice-cream. The ice-cream is very thick and rich, giving the extra oomph to dessert. Olive oil actually works well here. This is also another must-try.
The place is modern and posh, with the kitchen in full view. Great to watch the chefs in action. Despite the Open Fire Grill, the good exhaust system ensures that one will still smell as fresh as when first stepping into the restaurant. The service is immaculate and professional, I’m impressed.
I really love the food here. It is delicious, simulating and unique. Dining here is exceptionally memorable because the food is like no others. I do love to come back again.
Thoughts: Exceptionally awesome food!
The dishes and services were both very standard, nothing too overwhelming and the only highlight I would give it a second chance is their House-Made Pappardelle, it was rich and very savoury. We also ordered two desserts - Tiramisu and Italian Soufflé. The Italian Soufflé was a big miss for me, I really can’t appreciate the strong rosemary taste in it, so strong that almost diluted the negroni ice cream flavour.
Came here on a Saturday at 8pm for my birthday dinner celebration, upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that it was a small cozy place with not many tables and seats available as compared to other restaurants, hence almost every table was filled up with customers. Was lucky to get the table right beside the kitchen where I was able to watch the chefs work their magic on the steaks over the open fire grill. 🔥
Ordered the following items for 4 pax to share:
1) 30 Days Dry Aged Porterhouse Fiorentina
- Definitely the only way to eat steak is medium rare, and it tasted amazing. appreciated the fact that one of the staff brought over the steak whole, to let us have a look and take some pictures before slicing it up. It also came with a red wine jus and mustard seeds sauce, which compliments well when eaten together with the steak.
2) Spanish Turbot
- Texture of the fish was soft and it was well cooked, as the insides were still moist and delicious to eat along with the pairing of the zesty lemony sauce given.
3) Sautéed Kale
- Just crunchy kale dressed with white balsamico, nothing special really, useful as a palate-cleanser.
4) Cantabrian Anchovies
- Were surprisingly small, wish they used a bigger and plumper type. Tasted quite salty.
5) Sicillan Tomatoes
- good refreshing tomatoes but slightly overpriced
6) Gratinated Bone Marrow
- amazing tasting bone marrow, only wished there was a bigger portion
7) Sicillan Cannoli
- was rather dry, would not order this again
8) Cappuccinomisu
- served in a mini pot which was cute and the cappuccino foam tasted really good, was my favourite dessert out of the 4 that they offer.
9) Pistacchio Molten Lava
- Great usage of the strawberry sorbet to balance out the thick and indulgent pistachio Molten lava inside
10) Capri in a cake
- It's a limoncello caprese with amalfi lemon, so tasted rather zesty and quite refreshing. also appreciated the staff that sang the birthday song and even gave us a printed polaroid at the end of the meal!
11) Griglia Colada cocktail
- was expecting this to come in a cocktail glass, but rather due to their lack of space, their cocktails were pre-made and stored in small glass bottles, which they pour tableside over a separate glass over ice. but still tasted good for a pre made cocktail!
they even gave us limoncello shots before we left, great service by the team!
Would recommend anyone who enjoys Italian cuisine and steaks to give them a try for your special occasion! ☺️
The Tomahawk steak and Suckling pig are mind-blowingly delicious! You have to try them. Chin and the team offer incredibly warm and attentive service.
Thngs to note: There's a fee for refillable bottled water. You'll be charged each time you refill your bottle.
my go-to steak place! super tender and melts in your mouth as you savour every last bit! there is a hint of smoky flavour to your steak from the open fire grill too. pairs very well with this sauce they gave at the side. the house-made pappardelle braised pork jowl is al dente and super rich in flavour!
If you are looking for Italian cuisine, I say this is a go to place.
It's just definite refined and divine. Every dish are super tasty and we end up finishing every bit of it!
Highly recommended! The host are as well warmth and very hospitable.
Been there three times since September and always enjoyed the food.
Open fire adds a smoky touch the food. Traditional recipes but creative combination and presentation.
The base of Burratatina is a variation of Chef’s hometown snack Tarralli which is so delicious.
Desserts are must-try, the Italian Soufflé especially.
Chef Federico does a wonderful job in balancing different ingredients altogether. He also has a warm personality and definitely not camera-shy.
This is a cozy restaurant that I will come back again and again.
3rd visit: Meat quality might not be consistent due to supplier side hiccups.
Discreet but very attentive service. Excellent food, with steak, coupled with a fine set for 2 menu include desserts . Chin provided first-class service and recommended wine pairing with food , despite all the current restrictions in place. Quality never goes out of fashion.
Highly recommended.
Came for dinner last night and our experience was nothing less than extraordinary. We were seated at the high table at the back where we could see the chef cooking, so that added more to our experience.
We had a chance to try 4 things on the menu and everything was very good and blended very well with each other.
We got the housemade pappardelle with pork that was cooked perfectly al dente, the housemade taglioni with prawn that was very flavorful, the beef tenderloin steak, and the seabass fillet. The amount was just right and we also had space to get dessert (capuccinomisu) at the end.
Servers were very attentive and changed our plates everytime we finished a course to make sure we have a clean plate before going into the next dish. Overall very satisfying experience, and would love to go back to try more things on the menu.
It’s often not easy to come across a restaurant that delivers both the taste and presentation. We had the Burratina, Tagliolini, Tenderloin, Pappardelle and ended off with the Cappuccinomisu. All the dishes were well executed and we enjoyed so much that we didn’t manage to take pictures of all of them. Our only complain is that the portions were too small.
The Florentina Porterhouse steak and beef tenderloin were excellent. However, I rate an Italian restaurant mainly for the pasta, and I wasn’t that impressed with theirs, it was pretty average and portions were on the small side. The tables in the restaurant are too close to one another, another negative. But overall service was very good and attentive.
Italian food made fresh in an open fire kitchen. Very well prepared and served hot. Many small plates that can be shared and made a meal in itself. Good wine selection to choose and pair. Highly recommend this place for a nice authentic Italian meal.
Like and follow for more amazing places to see and visit around the World.
Celebrated my fiance's birthday here and we utterly enjoyed ourselves! We had the signature set for two, every single dish was such a delicious treat (esp. the perfect lamb chops), portions were just enough. But the best part about our time here was the staff's service, constantly checking in while not being intrusive, and they even surprised us with a printed couple photo to take home! So sweet and such a nice memory for my fiance. Thank you so much Griglia team. ☺️
One of our fav restaurants! Such high quality at a decent price! Always stuffed after eating there and we went back afew times always great food! Scallops, bone marrow, pastas, saffron rice were my fav there, highly recommend!
Chin and team were absolutely fabulous with their service! hubby and I had the signature set for two and we were SO FULL AND HAPPY!
the porterhouse was stellar and portions were great. Absolutely lovely atmosphere and dining experience.
We celebrated one of our pal's birthday at Craig Road branch. The dishes were great and sophisicatedly prepared with interesting taste.
The manager and staff were extremely friendly and great at their service with a human touch.
Just received a follow up email from the branch manager to check in on our dinner as well!
Fantastic overall experience, thank you
I've been here 3 times and the food and service has been consistently good. I liked the Porterhouse steak, sides like the eggplant and Hokkaido scallops and Capri in a cake for dessert
CHIN has done an exceptional job. Great food and really good service - made our day.
Good, but not great. Aside from the steak and foie gras (pictured half eaten lol), we didn’t think anything was particularly outstanding. Pastas were teeny weeny for the price. Servers were nice and all but we were looking for that extra oomph from the food. Bill came up to $400+ including a bottle of wine. Given we did eat lots for 2 persons!
Excellent service team, good food and wine. I specifically dig the scallops and their rendition of burratina.
We do love the atmosphere too, cosy and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!
One of the best meals I've had this year - strong dishes from start to finish.
I believe the culinary team really showcased their skills and creativity with their starters -- the hiika squid, scallops crudo and spaghetti di martino were exceptional.
Thanks for the great service as well!
Fantastic service from Chin all the more cause we had a big group! And she was very attentive. Even added on to help print group photos for birthday! Which is much appreciated!
As a big fan of Zafferano I was looking forward to the opening of their new grill on Craig Rd. I wasn't disappointed. Atmosphere and staff were friendly and accommodating. Menu was heavy on shared appetizers and grilled foods. We shared three dishes, which came promptly but one at a time so we could savor each one individually: a burrata and zucchini tarte, cool and fresh, pasta with raw shrimp and bottarga, and an octopus with a fava bean sauce and a touch of spice. For main: a moist grilled sea bass. Then a lovely cappuccino flavored tiramisu. Highly recommended. We will be back to try other dishes.
Had the Signature Set for Two, slightly pricier than expected but was not bad, definitely an acquired tasted. Sea bass was too salty though, but mostly the skin :((
Service was great! Thank you to Jean for serving us and celebrating my partner’s birthday, even printing 2 photo cards taken there for us. Memorable for sure!!! :D 🫶🏻❤️🔥
Had a great dinner here. Chef came out to serve and explain the dishes. Food and service were great! It’s a place that we will be back for more. Highly recommended!
Probably the best Italian food I had so far in Singapore. Good ambiance, and very good food, and our server Chin she is tried her best to accommodate all my requests .Highly recommended!👍👍👍👍👍
The service needs to be polished up a little.
We had to be interrupted twice when having conversations. First, the server told us about their finger food being one bite size. Okay, 10 minutes later, interrupted us again, saying the dining service is limited to 2 hours. Please leave your guests alone to catch up in our conversation first.
Of course the food didn't disappoint although the portions were small.
Finally, we were asked to leave. We had to finish our wine outside.
Not an applauding finale since the tables were empty, the guests were "late" or missing when we left 30 mins later.
Had a fantastic dining experience at Griglia! 🍽️ The steak was delicious, and their starters were on point. Nel's service was outstanding; she elevated our lunch with her expert recommendations. 👏 We'll definitely be back for more! 🌟#ExcellentService
This place is just wonderful! The food is perfection and service outstanding. Lovely atmosphere: laidback but still cool and elegant.
It came unexpectedly but it was very delicious. The employees are extremely friendly. So happy. chin is the best!!
Chin's service is excellent and enthusiastic. Especially recommend the steak 🥩
Fantastically delicious food with friendly service. Recommended.
Excellent structure, qualified staff, excellent food, in short, everything was delicious
