Thank god I found this place! What an awesome place to avoid the crowd and such an oasis to chill before getting on a long flight. Live music during this month till Oct2024. I like the fact that Hirotoshi serves not only quality Japanese food and drinks but also very good wines and verities of highball cocktails. Will definitely be back whenever transiting in Changi! 👍🏼 Staff are accommodating and efficient too. 👍🏼 And the fried Chicken wings are superb!!! 🫶🏼

The food was a pleasant surprise in a typically touristy area. I did not expect to experience the taste of authentic Japan while in an airport, but here we are. The sashimi was extremely high quality, and the miso soups and fried rice were made just right. All 8 people in our party were satisfied.

Craving for Yakitori? This is the place to go! Started with the tako karaage and we loved it! The serving is quite small coz its sooo good. The 10pcs yakitori were a wonderland in our mouth. Best choice for our anniversary date. ✨ MUST. DINE. HERE. AGAIN.

The menu here is pretty extensive with a good selection of izakaya bites and alcohol. I was pleasantly surprised that they have a 1-1 promo for alcohol. Went for the highball, tad weak but really can’t complain at $9.90 (1-1 promo). The food is good, especially the Gyoza. Yakitori 鶏皮 and chicken cartilage なんこつ was good too, not many izakaya in SG does it well. Ambience wasn’t too pleasant for me as was seated facing the neighbouring Prive’s cleaning trolley 😞 Try to opt for the Vortex view if possible 😆

The Salmon Lover Platter was absolutely fantastic. The cuts were thick and immensely flavourful. Service timing was perfect. Given that the restaurant is right next to a waterfall, the atmosphere could not be any more serene - it genuinely feels like a spa lunch. Definitely worth a visit!

Second time coming to this place and confirmed that their sashimi is the BOMB! As usual ordered their sashimi rice bowl and it did not disappoint, the salmon was next level, and the sweet prawn flawless. The fatty tuna was a surprise and the salmon roe firm n crunchy fresh. They were so generous with the roe that upon finishing the rice bowl I still had enough to have a giant mouthful! Definitely value for money and will come again. Kudos to the team for good service and great food 👍🏻

Food is delicious! And the setting at the airport is unbelievable. It doesn’t feel like an airport at all. Service is inpeccable. Highly recommended to eat here and relax. The prices aren ‘t cheap but worth it.

My first visit on a Sunday night when all the restaurants in Jewel were having long queues, we found this place with no queue and had many empty tables. The place was dark and u need table lamp to browse the menu and eat your food. The restaurant provided portable table lamp. We ordered many varieties for 5pax and the food came fast. Very short waiting time. Everything we ordered were nice. What’s disappointing is their service. We can waved our hands for a good 10 mins but all the servers were talking among themselves and completely not attentive.

Love the vibe at Hitoyoshi Izakaya! But a little tad warm when just sat down. Food is decent but not amazingly good. Chicken skin is too crunchy to my likings. Otherwise the rest is good. Service staff are not very friendly doesn’t really smile much. Pricing is on the high side but it is expected at such place. Overall, it is a decent place but the food doesn’t worth the time to come back again.

The staffs at Hitoyoshi Izakaya are really awesome! They are all so friendly and willing to provide extra mile service. It was my friend’s birthday and we wanted to surprise her with cake and presents thus, we requested to hide the items at the restaurant first so my friend wouldn’t see it which they gladly accommodate to it. Upon serving the cake they even decorated it nicely with additional flowers deco. Such lovely thoughts. It is my second time dining here. Both food and ambience is great for chilling. Would definitely visit again. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience!

I really like how this place is designed that allows you to have some greenery as part of the ambience which gives a refreshing experience. I ordered their lunch set and changed the sashimi to all salmon and it was a good choice. It was fresh and each slice provided a good taste. Still not as great as the ones I had in Taiwan but good for Singapore’s standard. The service can be better as I have to constantly get their attention to refill my tea. Do try their signature Hokkaido milk ice cream. I got the mixed flavor, milk and melon which definitely sent a freezer to my brain. Overall good experience.

We were at Jewel and was looking for something with hot soup. Chances upon this place. From the outside, looked pretty good. The kids could not finish the Jagaimo Mentai Mayo - too fishy. The salmon platter was not very good. Had a few sticks of Yakitori - not bad. The dim table was lit by a table lamp, ok not really the fault of the restaurant. The one good item was the Goma Tofu. Granted that not bad, but given the price and the many options at Jewel, this won’t be a place we are coming back. It’s purely my guess, but maybe this place has too wide a menu, and hence most of what we had wasn’t great.

I decided on a lone quest for nice dinner at the Jewel Changi, Singapore. I found this Japanese open air restaurant on the top level-5. As much as any patron would hope for is a pleasant meal after a long day either from working or shopping. I ordered a simple meal. Beer, Tempura set and a grill fish to go with my craving. The grill Hamachi requires time as this is a delicate fish, 15-mins it says on the menu. But I didn’t mind. Out came the Tampura with soba. Thou initial look didn’t strike a palate, the batter form the Tampura was light and crispy to say the least. The prawns were in generous size and worth the cost of just S$18. Yet this is not the star of my meal! The Hamachi stole the show for me at this dinner. It was sizable to begin with. Then as I dig into it, it immediate gave me the pleasure of a well prepared and well grilled segment of the fish I ordered . The texture and the degree of doneness was to the point ! Yum is all I can describe. Washing down with a light beer is all I need to end my journey of a delightful meal for a Saturday evening. Let’s not forget the service staff. They well deserve a shout. They are all so attentive and welcoming. Even as I have changed my choice of seats they were accommodating! Well done chef and staff ! Love to come back soon.

Love the Udon soup so much, the soup is light but flavourful. Their sashimi by chef choice’s are really good quality. However need to queue quite a while during dinner time on weekend.

Nice and comfortable environment. Sashimi was fresh. There was so much variety. The giant chirashi don was really huge! Enough for 4 pax especially if you order other dishes. The omakase sashimi was thickly sliced and fresh!

If the Jewel at Changi airport isn't impressive enough, then find a seat and try anything off the menu at Hitoyoshi Izakaya. The seafood is fresh, the presentation on each dish is, as Japanese culture is accustomed to: art. Isn't it refreshing to know that one doesn't need to fly to Japan to enjoy the best it has to offer? When you take your first bite of Hitoyoshi Izakaya, you will know you have landed!

After not getting enough sleep and helping my son who will have youth expedition program in Vietnam, we came earlier to Changi to solve the luggage problem, and yes, we have 5 kg more than we should. We arranged again all, luckily T1 has a weight machine and table to rearrange. i wait till he goes in for an immigration check, and go to Jewel which just across T1. I am looking for a nice place and food and found it in Hitoyoshi Izakaya, level 5.

Didn’t take any photos of the food but this place has the best chicken skin yakitori in Singapore. Other izakaya’s chicken skin are too dry n crispy. The kawa is just nice. Char on the outside. Soft and juicy on the inside. Update 26 Aug. came here for the chicken skin again. So damn good.

Started very disappointingly. We were sat next to the trash, menus just dropped on the table in a pile, and then told to scan the barcode to order. I immediately replied that I would not be doing that and thankfully it wasn’t a problem (unlike some other places). The service and food from then on was fine, but I was ready to leave within the first minute. First impressions count.

At Jewel changi, love their location. Food service is fast. Staffs are warm, welcoming and courteous. Food is surprisingly good and really at par with the price. Ordered the Giant Chirashi and was a blast. Kaki Soba tasted great. Yaki Miso Soup was superb. My kids loved the fried cheese sticks that they ate it all themselves. Love the service all in all. Worth the price.

Seafood fish sashimi rice, sea urchin is sweet, shrimp, scallops, salmon and tuna are all fresh, tuna is rich in oil, salmon is large, scallops and shrimp are very fresh and sweet. The tuna in the tuna rice is very fine and tastes good. I thought it was raw tuna, but in fact it seemed to have been seared, like half-cooked tuna. Personally, I still like raw tuna. The meat of the A5 steak is of good quality and you can enjoy the smoothness of its own gravy and oil. Unfortunately, it is a bit overcooked, which wastes the meat. Personally, I feel that 30% cooked or 50% cooked at most will make the meat juices and fats richer, making it more soluble in the mouth. It would be 5 stars if the waiter would ask us how done we wanted it and get it right. The price is not cheap, but the quality and service are not bad, so it is worth trying.
