Ichiban boshi is of my favourite restaurants at Jurong point (whenever I craved for Japanese food 😊). The food is nice & reasonable priced. The staff are friendly & service is prompt. My favourite orders here include salmon belly mental & tamago mentai sushi.

Have visited multiple times for numerous occasions, Birthday - Anniversary to work lunch, usually will go for my usual Chicken Nanban set order. As this few times abit disappointed in the standard of serving as some part of the flour are still undercooked which is not the usual crispy n tender chicken, the rest of the sides is just the way it was. So keep it up. Will definitely Visit Again.

Had visited countless of times quite faithfully since Day 1 the restaurant opened years ago but only thought of doing a review recently. All was good except that we were terribly disappointed and a bit disgusted by the TOTALLY COLD AND SOGGY fried softshell crab sushi. I would expect that at the very least, the fried crab should be a little warm and still crispy. But being served cold and soggy ones even in sushi was really off-putting! A shame that the thickness of their salmon sashimi is thinner than that of many restaurants. I hope the Management will review, reflect and not allow such poor standards to damage your otherwise decent reputation and inadvertently turn your loyal customers away.

We’ve lived in Japan for several years before so visiting this place was very nice and pleasant. The food was wonderful! We had the salmon and tempura set, mushrooms with clams, inagi sushi roll with ume sauce (very pretty presentation) and truffles ahi sushi, yuzu iced tea and waters😋 The service was fantastic!! Payed close attention to us to ask how we’re doing and to ask if we needed more water. Such a splendid experience here!!! Arigato gozaimasu 🙏🏼 we will definitely come back again. Highly recommend this place.

Is peak hours when we get there for dinner so i can't really feel the environment. Service is very good, up to expectations. Foods wise is ok but the season menu is for illusion purpose i guess, i feel like it is two different kind of foods. Ha.

Japanese styled restaurant provides good value food for family, kids menu available which they would love to order. Good for group gathering or by ownself to seat by sushi train table. May have to queue to be seated during peak hours.

Had a chance to have lunch at Ichiban today... Had ordered the Saba and rice as a simple dish for myself. When the fish came, i taste it and feels cold and the fish is like not grill and doesn't taste fresh... Spoken to the floor manager, Mau whom was a nice lady whom came and make a replacement on the Saba. 2nd pieces of Saba came but to no changes... warm but could feel the meat is so hard which shouldn't be (see pic). Mau came to ask for review of the fish but she knew it wasn't good.. she initiated to change to Salmon. Meanwhile, she apologised and gave us a plate complimentary sushi.. Finally, the salmon came and the meal was completed. I have to compliment the assistant manager named, Mau. She was very good and professional in serving customer and cater to their needs. Thanks Mau for making my experience worth while during the short period.

Here’s my bang-for-buck ratings Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Decor & seating: 3/5 Highly recommend stewed beef cubes. Grilled salmon a tad too salty. Unagi sushi was not bad. Swordfish belly was on point based on taste and texture. Momo peach ice cream was yucks. Sesame ice cream passable. Service was so-so, not proactive which means tea pretty much unfilled and finished dishes not cleared promptly. Fortunately staff still attended upon request.

food is delicious as usual. refer to photos. restaurant seems to be understaffed, but they took our orders accurately n timely. Oh.. and a tiny cockroach crawled onto my side of the table and i smacked it with paper napkins. An eventful night for us 😅.

This restaurant has a large menu from Japan's Tohoku region. We ordered a couple of set dinners and a grilled squid. They come with a food warmer beneath. It's best to let the warm warm up. The steak was well marinated and soft. The squid was not to my liking. It was okay but slightly fishy. All in all a decent dinner on the average side.

Firstly, it was long queue during dinner time, so the expectation was got very high. The food was ok and hot pot quite good. The value was deducting from utensils didn’t supply. When waitress finish my order, then she didn’t supply utensils to us, that is after our meals arrived. we request from the service table. Secondly, the waiters is supply wrong meal frequently. The worst is there have two big fly surrounding, feel so unhygienic.

Delicious, fresh, and great dining atmosphere. However, the food amount is very little compared to the price and the staffs can be more attentive in refilling my tea.

We accidentally ordered a chef recommended cold udon, with sesame dressing. It tasted weird, we did not like it. Sea urchin was not that fresh. The beef Don could not compare with average restaurants out there. The only decent dish we had was the sashimi. Perhaps these few dishes cannot justify this restaurant's standard. Because it is very popular among locals, we had to queue for our seat. And other customers that ordered their bento sets seemed to enjoy their food. However, do avoid the dishes we ordered as they weren't pleasant.

It's another weekend coming to an end. Decided to travel all the way to Jurong Point for lunch and ended up at Ichiban Boshi. We ended up here because it was busy everywhere. Too many people in this mall. Anyway, our lunch was just okay. I remembered that Ichiban had a much better quality but maybe that was years ago. The menu definitely changed a little. I was hoping for a good lunch but got an okay okay lunch instead. So what went wrong today? Firstly they served our soya sauce with wasabe in it. That's not Japanese at all. That's a Singaporean thing. Never do that! Secondly, my SOBA was served room temperature. This should have been served chilled. Thirdly, the Karei Karaage was not crispy as it should have been. This was rather disappointing but the flavors with pretty good. The food didn't turn out so great but our waiter was amazing. He really took good care of us. He made sure our drinks were always full and he was very attentive. Kudos to him!

Have been visiting this outlet for family meals quite some time. The sets Re reasonably priced and value for money. Their staff attitude are ok, well mannered, quite standard and basic. But I want to rate 5 star rating especially to Mr Charles who served my family and kids attentively. He made a vast difference in my dining experience all these years dining at this outlet. My child affectionately nickname him Uncle Charles and looks for him when we dine here now! Thank you Uncle Charles for being so kind to my son and daughter.

I would like to commend Mr Aloysius from Jurong Point Ichiban Boshi for his good recovery services. Our 1st batch of Bentos delivery was late due to miscommunications. We make a feedback to him and he took time to look into the matter and got back to us in a timely manner. He was responsive to our further queries and also assist us in everyway to ensure our next Bento orders are delivered in time which indeed arrive promptly. Thank you for your excellent recovery services and we will continue to support Ichiban Boshi Jurong Point.

It's non peak hours but service is horrible. Asked for refill for green tea, one server totally ignore me, and 2nd time when I asked for refilled, they acknowledged but A called B to refill, B acknowledged, and then called C to refill. Poor C. Cos the rest refused to clear the table and she has to clear too.

I have visited Ichiban Boshi in Jurong point outlet on 22/7/2022 at night. I have been served by uncle Charles who are very patient and provide exceptional service to us. Uncle Charles provided prompt service when we needed. He also offered to help us take picture. Other than that, he are attentive to our needs and pour for us tea when we finished it. I really enjoyed his service. His service make my day and I have recommend my friends and family to Ichiban Jurong Point to eat. I hope that you can award him with awards or give him recognition as he leave me a good impression about Ichiban Boshi. His service impacted me greatly and I will visit Jurong Point outlet again.

Super kid friendly. Jelly from kids meal is super nice. They have booster seat and high chair for kids - choose the high chair if your kid is a toddler. Meitai salmon and unagi are good. Teriyaki salmon is dry.

I have been visiting Ichiban Boshi Jurong point for many years, thru various experience eating here, their services really needs alot improvement. Eg - asking for a napkin can keep us waiting for 10-15mins and needed constant follow up. I can say food sets are decent but sometimes some food are already cold when service, it really not to standard for the menu pricing.

A nice family place for food. Kids friendly. Offers a good selection of food. Very crowded on weekends. Service may take some time during peak hours. But staff are generally polite. Prepacked bentos and sushis are available for a quick meal fix at a reasonable price.
