Reviews of Im-Em Thai Kitchen
Quite ordinary and not particularly delicious Thai food. Service was bad. So difficult to get the attention of staff. And they were brusque and unfriendly. Not helpful or approachable.
Seats were most uncomfortable and the decor looked like a canteen rather than a restaurant which did not justify the prices.
The grilled pork tongue was very disappointing. Hard like gizzard. Tom yam soup had no herby flavour. Just a bunch of herbs thrown in - not even smashed to exude. Acacia omelette was very oily though the best of the 3.
Ordering is a little difficult if looking at the print menu and the online menu. Ordering is through the online menu. This took a while to find the item in the online menu that we saw on the physical menu.
The old fish sauce papaya salad actually had crab in it. We thought it was just flavouring but there were actual crab chopped up. If u like fish sauce, order this! Full umami flavouring.
Phad Thai is ok. It can do with more fire taste though. Basil pork flavour was also ok. Nothing to fault but also not raving about them.
Red ruby was to help with the spice as I am not good with spice. Rubies are large so that is nice!
Love the meatballs here! Randomly came here wanting to order just a drink to rest awhile and end up ordering a meatball as a side to munch, turns out it's great! The meatball is thick and puff with fillings, it's cripsy on the outside and soft in the inside. The condiments of the vegetables go with it perfectly well, I had also ask for some garlic and small red chilli to go with it, great combination! Guess it will be also awesome to go with beer.
They served us the long bean and crab salad without the crab - when we brought it up to the staff only then they said crab was OOS but strange they didn’t tell us when we ordered. They then asked if we want to send it back - we ended up just eating it anws but they charged us the full price for it (the pic was how it was served so the portion is quite sad lol).
Overall though the food was decent even though the portions are generally small. We liked the tomyum soup and the fried pork soft bone. Service leaves a lot to be desired
ordered the food as per photo.
food were very authentic thai taste; thai papaya salad was flavourfully just the right thai taste, kap moo was fresh and crispy, green curry chicken was also at a right flavour ( not too much coconut milk), iced thai green/ milk tea also very nice, lastly, dessert good.
mulitple times patronized this super authentic thai food. taste, price, service, portion and authenticity really excellent, i will give 6 stars if possible.
We ordered pad Thai, Tom yum seafood, fried chicken wings & the iced milk tea! My friend really enjoyed the pad Thai, and commented that it was very flavourful. The Tom yum seafood was delightful but a little on the saltier side - really robust in taste, but ingredients could have been a tad more for the price. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed it! Spice level really packed a punch even though I requested for less spicy - still a very enjoyable Tom yum soup though, and I couldn’t get enough:) the chicken wings were fried almost to perfection texture-wise, and were pretty good! Authentic Thai place with an overall refreshing atmosphere. Overall, the dishes almost
lived up to their social media hype - a satisfactory experience.
Highly recommend the mooping!
The fish wasn't as fresh in the tomyum soup. I would probably try seafood next time. The lemongrass drink is nice n refreshing too.
They started charging gst since 1st May 2024. Plain water is also chargeable. Lunch time with huge crowds & would require 15-20 mins waiting time
I was there with few friends. While I ordered some Thai snacks and starters, others ordered typical Thai food (tom yum, green curry). Snacks were good and tasty, but tom yum was VERY sweet to my taste. Most of food were not spicy, which suitable for non-Thai.
Order can be done via QR code or by asking one of staffs. Services were ok.
Enjoyed their Thai Foods. Not too spicy and their Soup was great. Thai Staffs were friendly and helpful . Foods prices was reasonable. Many choices on the menu. Located within Aperia Mall. Its get really crowded during Weekday lunch hour. Best to avoid that hour and dropby for dinner on a weekday. Not a very restaurant. But nicely organised and clean.
The red ruby was very good! Crunchy red ruby with sweetened coconut milk and strips of fresh jackfruit.
Great food, beautiful presentation—but bring your wallet! While the dishes look and taste fantastic, the prices are sky-high for what you’re actually getting. Feels like this place is out to remind me of my budget in every language. Worth a try if you’re feeling fancy, but it’ll cost you.
Tried the pad see ew, it was good, can taste the wok hei flavor. Plenty of vege inside. The fried egg was also very crispy and tasty. I think can come back here again next time. Even at 2.30 pm there's still a lot of people eating
Im-Em previously was known as Dee Tongue in Golden Mile. Moo Ping is a must order! The best moo ping I had in SG.
I came to Aperia Mall looking for some dinner on a weekend evening. Not many shops were open and it looks like lots of renovations and constructions are ongoing. In spite of that, there was a sizeable crowd in this mall. There was a flea market in the concourse when I visited the mall. And perhaps many people are attracted to this mall by the free parking. In the end, I settled at this Thai restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. It has some dishes that I've only tried on Thailand but rarely see in Singapore such as the crab laksa. Overall, I left satisfied with the food.
Had a steamed fish in lime soup among other dishes. Unpleasant experience to find that the fish was not properly descaled. It also had a bitter taste which the lime soup was not able to mask.
Grilled pork was ok. Prawn omelette and seasoned vegetables were not bad, but didn't save the day. Not even the ice milk tea which tasted diluted.
Unlikely to return despite its convenience, and also because competitors nearby suit my tastebuds better. A pity because I thought it held so much promise with the consistent long queues
We ordered two dishes - rice with fried basil leaf squid and rice with petai prawns. Both were tasty and prices were very reasonable.
Standard taste... good service and kids- friendly
Tomyum soup is so delicious! One of the better tasting thai food that’s based in SG
The orders were all requested to be extra spicy so chilli padi was added. It was yummy and spicy shiok.
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿😁👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Will return again when need to meet my spicy quota.
Definitely better than nana Thai service. The MOOPING is a must try when you’re here. Super Delicious and must try. Pad Thai need improvements
Best Thai food in the area. Favourite pineapple fried rice in Singapore. Nice location and ambience. Shrimp Cake is good too
One of the top thai restaurants in SG. Authenticity evidenced by their Thai customer base.
The food is good but I recently went and there were these metal sponge bits in my garlic pork rice. I don’t think I swallowed any and my friend who ordered the same dish did not have any in theirs, so it may be a one time thing. Just please be more careful!
Dont know why their reviews isnt higher. Came here during a public holiday.
Service is good and fast. Food is fresh and yummy. Their cockles are so big! Saw a lot of thai people eating here so you know this place is legit.
Taste just normal (but not so bad) if compare to other Thai restaurants ..
Food is amazing and very authentic, the stair fry curry pork and mango salad is 👍🏻 will come back again to eat
Nice authentic Northern Thai food. Sour and spicy soup is a must try and fried chicken tendon is crispy and chewy.
Food is salty. Good for the heavy taste lovers.
Shrimp cake n grilled pork are good. Lime sotong is very fresh n big portion. Tom yum seafood major disappointment. Not spicy n sour. Taste just like fish sauce. Haiz
A more refined Thai experience. Prices is slightly on the higher side considering the portion. Overall an above average Thai eating place!
First time trying this Thai place. We loved it. Will be back for seconds soon. Had to queue a bit though.
Need to improve on seating. There was a long queue but they didn’t know how to seat the customers . Table for 4 was given to 2 pax. Then table for 2 was available but none of us could take it because we were groups of 4. Long wait.
Food is ok. Portion is small. Little expensive.
Enjoyed the authentic Thai dishes served at this formerly located Golden Mile eatery. The Tom Yam seafood soup is super spicy but so irresistibly delicious. The Pork neck was a huge portion and the vermicelli prawn was so well fried. And the omelette was fluffy and well done.
Good Authentic Thai food here, Good Pricing. Good taste, Worth it ☺️🙏🏻
This is a very popular thai restaurant in Aperia mall. I 🤔 the food are quite average, it's not up to the standard I have expected. But it's still good, maybe because I preferred other thai restaurant that I always go to. The 🥭 thai salad and chilli basil pork are not in par with alot of thai restaurants I have tried.
😊 eating thai food 😋
Sawadika 🙏
Home cook Thai favours 😋
Surprised by the low ratings because I loved the food there! Food was delicious and service was quick with no issues. Would definitely come again when in Aperia mall :)
p.s it was much emptier than the other Thai restaurants in the mall so no wait for a table!
Had Tom Yum soup with prawns, Thai omelette with pork, green curry fried rice and Thai sausages - 10/10
Ordered the green curry with chicken, it was ordinary, the chicken tasted bland, unseasoned, and feels like it's from frozen chicken. Not recommended.
On the other hand, the fried spicy pork ball salad was well made, tasty, good balance of spice and seasoning, and not too heavy as well.
We ordered a stir fried basil rice and a tom yum noodle soup. Both were very fragrant and spicy, good for spicy lovers.
Tasty and savoury food.
Go early to avoid long waiting time
Food looks innocent but is spicy as hell. Tom yum was abit salty. Drunken mama was quite flavorful. Crab fried rice, Basil chicken and mixed vegetables were good too.
Food is good
Service is slow
Overall not value for money considering the over atmosphere and service
Best thai food, only nitpick is tomyum soup is a bit too spicy
Honestly, the star rating doesn't do justice to this charming little eatery that offers delicious food. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest places for Thai cuisine in Singapore, and I say this irrespective of local preferences.
Good place to enjoy authentic Thai cuisines.
Waited around 30 min fir a table on Saturday afternoon. We ordered the recommended omelette, green curry and crisp fried pork belly. All the dishes were delicious.
Always a good meal here from before relocating from Golden Mile. Large variety with some authentic Thai dishes hardly found elsewhere.
The food is very good and is Thai standard. The price is also relatively okay. Will suggest the roast pork rice with fried Kailan & the Tom yum seafood soup!
Good place to have a nice Thai food here!
Service is not too friendly, food takes very long to come at least 30mins, some furnishing need replacement. Food is ok. All in all just 3 stars.
Authentic Thai food. Very nice will be back again to try other menu.
Had the fried kwayteow and the serving was generous, wokhey+++
Friendly staff, food looks and taste great! Will come back again.
Previously located at Golden Mile Tower. Food is still on point and portion is big.
Nice dining place. Authentic thai food!
Awesome Thai food at good and affordable price
Food smells nice, people seem kind
Good service. Authentic thai chef.
Crab meat fried rice has wokhey
Relocation from golden mile, the quality of this place is still top notch
Ambience and service of the restaurant is good
Nice place for Thai home cooked dishes
It's a regular shop. When the restaurant was at Goldenmile, what I liked the most was Pad Thai, a spicy and spicy papaya salad. The fried pork belly is good, the spicy pork larb is good, the corn salad is delicious but a little too little. This time, the papaya salad tray ran out of cockles. I was a little sad. Overall, the wait staff and aunts and uncles were lovely.
It's delicious. I eat in the restaurant downstairs of the company from time to time. It makes me feel happy.
Delicious and suitable for Thai people's tastes
Order blue crab salad, lemon fish, fried shrimp cakes, and fried shrimp with garlic.
The food is very delicious.
