went with family. the restaurant is hard to find. finally found it next to the value store at 4th floor. We ordered fish and chip, lamp chop with baked potato, lasagne. the fish is too saltish, better if they use. Lamb chop is ok, a lot of fat strip, unbitable, the meat part is ok. But not something i will come again for. Nice ambience. Hard to find seat. We waited for 18 mins. They refused to let us share table with another existing customer even though she is ok. I thot they could be more flexible about it. The bake potato with the sourcream + bacon + spring onion... is our favorite, we finished it all. Dessert we ordered the ice cream with waffle and brownie. It was good. We will revisit, next time try other dishes.

There were many things that were not ideal that I would like to point out. First was the wait for the food. After ordering, the drinks and bread came. Okay. But the seafood salad took forever and came even after the kids' meal! In the end, it took more than 30 min before our food came. Then the kids' fish and chips and the chicken cutlet were overcooked (as can see in the pic) until it was abit charred and hard to bite. Service was also not very attentive. For example, we had 4 people but they only gave us 2 serviettes. For the price, I don't really feel like the food is premium enough. Probably won't come again.

Daily Set Lunches are great value for money. Food tastes above-average. Special mention: baked potato comes with your customisation by waitress scooping bacon bits, sour cream n spring onion bits. Service level is excellent

Jack’s Place has been around for 30-40 years at least. It bring back a lot of childhood memories but the food is really subpar nowadays. Prices are also very high now. The initial menu price was less than $15 but by the time everything adds up my lunch was about 30 bucks.

Much improved cooking! I’ve visited several JP branches through the years and this is the first time I’ve decided to give it a review as for the first time I did get a great plate of rib eye steak! I will definitely be back and see if its a one-off 😉

This is a medium size outlet and is pretty crowded during meal time. The food served was tasty and the serving size was reasonable. The yellow lighting gives the place a cosy feeling. The staff were helpful and attentive. All were great except for the long wait for our appetizer - Seafood Salad which only came after our main course, and after several reminders. The food is generally tasty, with the Chicken Steak being delicious and to my liking. PS: Please note that plain water is chargeable.

ordered cottage pie with lemon tea and chocolate ice cream . the cottage pie 🥧 is generous in serving. light in flavour. suitable for people who want a slightly lighter taste . the mashed potato and ground beef is too soft . the ground beef lack of marinations and mashed potatoes too bland lemon tea is too diluted ice cream is great ! improved alot the service is very good and fast . the environment and lighting is comfortable

It’s a good wine & dine western restaurant. Ambiance and their menus were good u can still find few rice varieties in the menu😇. The steak provided in the restaurant is delicious 🤤 although it’s a bit pricey but they provide membership card for discounts. Service and dine in experience was good. Overall it’s a nice restaurant to hangout with ur family and friends 👍🏻

The food was below average and lacked any unique flavors; nothing stood out as special. The server struggled to hear me when I asked for a fork, which made the experience feel awkward. The atmosphere was disappointing, too – I overheard the manager mention a lizard sighting at another table, which was unsettling. That moment made me want to leave right away, and I asked for the bill. Overall, it was a passable experience, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for memorable dining.

Standard shopping mall western fare. Gave it an extra star for food because the salted egg fried chicken cutlet portion was so huge. The sauce was definitely not very salted egg-like, but cutlet is good on its own. Busy on a weekend evening, and service was a bit messy, but still okay. In fact, I guess the whole experience can be summed up as "still okay"...

I left a negative review about the service at this restaurant a while ago. We went here again and our experience couldn’t have been more different. The staff were friendly, smiling and paid attention to the diners. It was clear that some changes were made. I’ve removed my bad review. Good job Jack’s Place. We’ll be back again.

Jack's Place at Compass One is more spacious after undergoing upgrading project. The service is fast and efficient. The set lunch and other meals are delicious. Our family enjoyed having meal here. The price of food is reasonably priced.

My first visit over there. The staffs and manager are very attentive, responsive and very quick with their action. They are well experienced welcoming customers to their seats fast and the atmosphere was good, spacious & clean, recommend highly for friends and family. However, place was not a romantic choice for dating couples. Other outlet will be a better choice. Food experience was alright, but it can be better. Not for the choosy. Have baby chair seats. Relaxed place. Saw a toddler drop a kid spoon on the floor, an alert server immediately pick up and dispose away without informing the mum or replace the spoon back, the mum was looking high and low for the missing cutlery after she cut the food in the baby plate, the server can do better in here.

It's ok for tea as it's not crowded. Service was fairly good as they helped arranged tables for the four adults n two adults. But they could certainly be trained to serve with a smile :(. Patronized the outlet at Orchard Central as there was a 1-for-1. Service was good. The waiter, I believe the manager took our orders and was patient when we had to clarify something. Order the mini beef burgers and they were good. Also had refills for water without having to ask. Would come back for affordable Western food. Only thing is that they forgot the cheese mayo with the fries for one order. Otherwise, thumbs up.

Sometimes I wonder why restaurants charge you for service charge. And the food.. the mushroom stuffed with lobster... $12 dollar before gst. Lobster was almost non existence. The overall flavour was not fresh and very incohesive. Honestly it makes me wonder how Jack's place still can charge such premium price for such below subpar food and how they are still in business after all these years.

Immran’s service was really fantastic. Very enthusiastic and courteous. It’s so rare to experience good service esp in F&B nowadays. His service made such a difference in our dining experience! ❤️❤️❤️

My younger daughter ordered salmon, and my older daughter and I ordered steak (medium rare) (medium rare). My youngest daughter's salmon was very salty, but mine was the end of it (two bites left, only medium rare). I will visit Serangoon Jack's place next time. I will not come here again.
