Reviews of Ju Xiang Ge Hunan Cuisine 聚湘阁湖南菜
Hidden gem in Potong Pasir. Must try! 7 dishes with reasonable price. Better that #苏杭相伴.
Had lunch here, ordered the mushroom pork soup, bamboo minced pork and hong shao rou. every dish was so tasty. price is reasonable and portions are very generous.
Authentic Hunan cuisine 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The fat intestines are so delicious!
The spicy chicken with fat intestine is very creative!

Visit if you love STRONG flavours ❤️
I'm a strong flavour lover and it's really hard to find strong flavours in Singapore as most restaurants here are either serve bland food or on the sweeter side.
Ju Xiang Ge is a random find for me that turned out to be a gem. I loved the dishes here, as they are as authentic Hunan as they can be. Spicy, salty, and with a punch. None of that popular green Hunan cuisine chain that advertises authentic Hunan cuisine, but end up toned down for the local palate. This is the real deal.
I have visited 4 times and ordered 20 different dishes, these are my favourites (eat with white rice for Ooomph!)
- Bamboo shoots fried with pickled vegetable and minced pork
- Dry pot shrimp with vermicelli
- Hunan style pork intestine in hotpot
Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge.
Simple decor but comfortable and there are bench seats.
I really do hope they don't change their flavours, stay authentic and I see every time the chef stir-frying with gusto and I hope they don't change chef.
It's so hard to find good-tasting (not bland or sweet or 'localised') authentic China food in Singapore as most Singaporeans cannot take too spicy or too flavourful cuisine.
Delicious food
