There were some winners and 1-2 so-so dishes. The curry fish head surprised on the good side. The curry is on the thicker side. We all enjoyed the short rib but the crab meat pasta was the so-so dish of the night. Though the apple tart was good but it needs to be padded with more apple slices. This shd be shared with at least 4 ppl.
Came across an instagram story featuring their signature souffle and decided to visit this cafe located at Level 4 of Tangs Plaza.
For 2 pax, we had the grilled mushroom, baked oysters as starters, soft shell crab korean glass noodles and lobster hokkien mee for mains as well as the their signature soufflé (Grand Marnier flavour).
Every dish was on point especially the lobster hokkien mee, full of wok- hey flavour. Love how soft and jiggly the soufflé is but the flavour we chose was quite rich and overwhelming with the alcohol taste.
Overall a lovely dining place for a date night.
Came here for the CNY set dinner as I was attracted by the lotus leaf rice with truffle and foie gras on top of the usual ingredients of wax meat and sausage! The Yusheng was special too; only fresh ingredients are used and minus the green and red stuff strips commonly found in yusheng elsewhere. The wait for the lobster dish was quite long in between but it was all worth it as it was freshly cooked and the vermicelli with garlic was out of the world! These were the 3 main highlights of the menu.
Underwhelming experience… good portions were small… ordered the signature lobster Hokkien mee. Over-rated as lobster was small…no wok hey at all. Had the prawn with chilli carb sauce…average. Soufflé was also average. Dining place was nice and service was good. Go for a nice unhurried place to chat but don’t expect too much from the food. Good that they serve tap water.
As a local, one can't help to have personal views in terms of how local food should be. The Chinese dishes are expensive, only because they have not differentiated themselves from what's available, and the quantity is abysmal.
But what blew me away was the Apple Tart. It was by far the most delicious tart I've ever had. With gula melaka ice cream, it was such a treat. Justin has an amazing range of wine too.
In short, please come here for their quality wine selection and desserts.
Food was great, ambience is alright but it felt like the music didn't fit the theme and at some points it was too loud to be able to talk at a comfortable level.
About the service — the man who mainly served us was great, he was attentive and answered our queries. But there's more.
What baffled me was why the lady only gave us 1 menu when there were 2 of us. When we came it it also wasn't like it was crowded. I peeked at another table and it seemed like there were only 2 menus for 3 people. Why can't every guest have their own menu?
Additionally, the same lady brought us to our table told us we had to leave by 7pm, we came in at around 6.20pm. That was ok since we were told in advance. But our food did not come on time so of course we couldn't leave by 7pm. We ended up leaving at 7.15pm. It's just confusing and disappointing that these things happen.
We came because we saw on TikTok (@zippyzipeng) that this place is opened by the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew's chef, Justin Quek. However we left feeling disappointed about the environment and service.
Hopefully they improve on their service and ambience, as the food is promising.
JustIN cafe by Singapore celebrity chef Justin Quek is the place to be if you are looking for some where that you can chill while enjoying hearty food. The staffs are amazingly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back for more. Applause to Nam who took great care of us even though he seemed to be super busy
Ambience is warm and cosy, witg some windows over seeing the Wisma n Ion skyline, had the PS Cafe feel.

Expectation for food is high given the name and price points but disappointed as it seems to normal and can't identify what's unique about it. Hope that food can improve soon as the service and atmosphere is pretty good
The lobster Hokkien noodles, soufflé & Apple Tart is very delicious & special! Definitely one of the best i ever had. Highly recommended 👍
Haven't tried that Hokkien Mee. Have to make a special trip for that.
Fantastic bar-bites, tapas, whiskey.
Came with 3 friends to celebrate my birthday. Staff was very warm n welcoming. Attentive and friendly. Chef Justin came out to greet his guests in between dishes. Food presentation was good and tasted yummilicious! Staff gave us very good recommendation but not overselling. Overall dining experience was comfortable and relaxed. I m happy my friends suggested this place. Will definitely come back again! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The food quality is amazing and the service is really wonderful! have you met the lady boss? she is so cheerful. and Chef Justin helped me to learn to eat vegetables which i totally hate! he is amazing
Though the staff are tired, they never fail to serve us well :)
Will recommend this restaurant if u ate looking for good food and great service. Special Thanks to Nam who is so professional & so very attentive. He remembers us & what we like! So rare to find such a gem nowadays! Tks Bam for making our dining experience great!
Went to try after seeing the poster on the way to the carpark. Wanted ice water but came warm. Ordered the house salad but came without the sauted mushrooms. Best thing no one knew that it should be there. The capellini is not bad. The Iberico pork char siew bun is alright not so much the pork but the pickled lettuce, ironically.
As we sat waiting for our food the couple sitted behind was complaining that they had waited an hour for their fried rice. Gives me a feeling that they are not prepared, at least the service staff. All in all, some form but a little substance.
Cheff Justin is super friendly love the ambience the food the wine made specially for justin
Hokien noodle ...capellini ..prawn fritters so fresh and crunchy
Fish curry...apple tart
Justin had chicken rice at MBS hopefully he will add it to menu eventually.
I highly recommend this restaurant
Went there after Tangs departmental store operating hours. We were able to access the cafe via the private lift facing Lucky Plaza. Great food and nice ambiance. Will visit again
Pasta was ok 👌🏼 but salmon was fishy and disappointing standard for the price paid.
Overpriced and overrated unless you dine in to meet Chef Justin. If not can skip.
The lobster hokkien mee is heavenly and a must try ! Chef justin cooks with passion & dedication! Service attitude here is awesome too😃
Food are delicious, normal waiting time.
Superb dessert.
Will come back again.
So much thought and soul put into every dish. jQ signature coffee was heavenly!!
Nice food and
The plate is a little disappointing... I was expecting more from the Iberico pork which turned out to be bland. A good point for the crepe suzette, very light, and the good quality wine.
