Reviews of Killiney Kopitiam
Giod ambiance with great food. Love all the choices here. Cofee, tea and the srikaya all very good quality. Egss were okay, overall good quality food. Will come here again
KillineyRd food stalls is great for and value. Covered open air dining. Bucks of beer 🍺. Great casual food.
Authentic Singaporean breakfast! Come early as local and tourists would queue up in the morning. Food and drinks are freshly served. Signages with humor is a good idea to set the customers’ mood for the entire day.
Have been here multiple times. Whenever we come here on weekend morning, always packed and kinda hard to find seats. But the staffs here are always efficient in clearing and friendly. Food here is very singaporean and suited to our tastebuds.
Quaint little shop tucked away in the corner of Orchard. A regular breakfast place for my family. Do note that coming between 9-11am might be alittle crowded.
Would usually get the Kaya Toast but decided to try something different and went with the curry chicken. Personally - not my fav. Would stick with the kaya toast and eggs (2-die-4).
The last time I drank at this place was some 20+ yrs ago. place has changed and drinks was OK, bread style was different. Standard has dropped. Still good to have for afternoon break.
Come here for breakfast, very singaporean but suit to our tastebud. Crowd place but staff very handy to clear up and friendly
Che chong fun with sambal and kaya toast dip in soft boiled eggs was great, with soya milk and kopi oh was favorite
Came here every morning for breakfast for 3 days in a row as there are many things to try than just kaya toast.
Kaya toast was nice. Paired with the soft boiled egg (add your own soft sauce and white pepper) along with coffee.
Nasi lemak was very basic but that's what you get for under S$3.
The noodles (forgot the names but had 2 flavours) were both delicious. I prefer the sour/hot one over the more sweeter/savoury one.
Curry with roti was delicious and filling
Cheong fun (steamed rice skin?) was also very basic as it did not have a filling and just sauce
All in all, you will find many locals and travellers here trying a wide range of Singapore breakfast items for cheap prices. Cheap affordable prices and staff were friendly
Came here in the morning, the place already quiet crowder. So have to wait before seated. A pleasure to have experience at Killiney Kopitiam Singapore.
kopi was smooth with a dash of condensed milk.. yumm 👍 kaya toast with butter in the middle were delicious too 👍 pricier than other kopitiams, but it's good. came at 11am Tuesday and got a table straight away.
Get the French loaf kaya toast! (尖头面包 jiam tau roti) as not many traditional kopitiams in Singapore offer this. It was really good, and the kaya was freshly made. The kaya smelled amazing and was not too sweet. However, the normal bread toast and French toast were just average so am keeping it to four stars. Drinks were good too!
Traditional coffee and toast situated at Killeney road. This is the original outlet of the brand that has since expanded to s franchise all over Singapore. The menu is minimalistic, just a one pager, which is good to keep things simple. This outlet is not airconditioned but there are fans to keep cool. Sits approximately 48 pax.
The kaya butter toast is champion, the butter taste is just so nice together with the kaya. Mee Siam must try also, the taste is unique and balance.
This is a classic “local” Singaporean coffee and breakfast shop/experience. The coffee is interesting and the locals tell me that is authentic! I sat down on my own with my take away coffee in a plastic sling and started chatting with one of the locals. That’s priceless.
This place opens at 6am and that’s awesome for someone who is out the door at 6am everyday to have his first shot. Check this place out. Apparently this is one of the oldest coffee establishments in Singapore.
This place is the original establishment of the Killiney Kopitiam. It was one of my favorite kopitam as they used to serve really good food and drinks.
However, over the years the consistency of their food and drink is changing, on some days you might be in luck some others might not. And the cleanliness of this place have plummeted, most of the times the floor is sticky and their tables are grubby.
Quite sad to see what it has become.
Amazing laksa, rich with deep fishy flavors, perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The kaya is good but I would still just go for the laksa
One of favourite place for your quick breakfast in Singapore. Always clean, cozy place, and good variety of food.
2023-04-08 a popular breakfast stop in Singapore. We (2 persons) had a Kaya toast set which included soft boiled eggs also mee rebus noodles and coffee & barley drinks. Lived up to it's reputation. Go & try it!
Popular for its toast bread and coffee. They serve local delights like Mee Siam & curry chicken.
Great Kopi, friendly service, many locals. I enjoyed visiting the spot every morning for coffee and soft boiled eggs.
No frills coffeeshop with affordable local dishes. Not fantastic but worth the price. Come here for a taste of nostalgia.
The chicken curry is amazing! Great toast and coffee as well. Very affordable for Singapore!
Food and drink is ok,
Not sure why they do not have set meal as other branch.
The coffee and tea is really, really good. I usually order a teh and it’s sweet and milky but also not too much. My parents have been coming to this outlet for years – even when they are on leave or on weekends, we would specially travel into town for tea here. Also, when you takeaway and bring your reusable cup, they are also generous and will give you a little more if your cup is larger. Highly recommend!
I loved their Kaya toast which not too sweet and not too salty from butter.
Kopi C Kosong ($2) - 4.5 stars
Pricey compared to others but solid.
Kaya toast - 4.5 stars
One of my favourites, with a substantial toast (Vs Yakun's crispy thin slivers).
Nasi lemak - 1 star
Worst item on the menu. Rice is cold and hard with no coconut flavour. Fish are skimpy. Would pass on this. They need a better supplier.
Otah - 2.5 stars
Decent. Very spicy.
I think this HQ serve the best food so far. So many times I’ve been here and I always enjoyed my loaf toast with curry. Change to try curry mee today instead. And had a cooling barely ginko soup 😀
The kaya toast is the best!!! Better than yakun kaya toast or toast box. The milk tea is not sweet because when you eat the kaya toast it's already sweet. Tried the french loaf toast and french toast. The best is the kaya toast/bread toast.
Very friendly staff and delicious, cheap laksa. The tea was great too. Very happy.
It's a nice place for breakfast. Coffee is good, nasi lemak could be better, butter Kaya toast bread is loaded with Kaya and butter - the best ! I like the place because of the jokes they plastered on the wall. It kept me entertained while waiting for the food.
This place is a classic. They use a grill for the toast, giving it a special, distinct flavor. The food and drinks are consistently good, and the restaurant has a charming, old-fashioned atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and the service is quick. Since it’s an outdoor setting, there are fans strategically placed to help you stay cool, adding to the comfortable experience. They use a grill for the toast, giving it a special, distinct flavor. The kaya French loaf is especially good and is something I’ve only seen at this outlet—definitely worth trying!
Worth trying the coffee and food here! 😋 Need to queue for awhile in the morning but able to get a seat immediately in the tea time 👍🏼
Looking for the traditional taste of Singapore? This delicious delight of a shop house is truly worth a visit. Try the Kopi and Kaya Toast. Kids will this spot.
We went to the shop today and luckily, the weather was nice and their food & service was good as well.
Awesome traditional coffee place
We visited this today the best to eat breakfast!
Tho, the cashier is kind of rude when I'm ordering. Still 5 stars cause it's really good food.
Friendly, simple and delicious! Basic menu, but everything you’d want from a hole-in-the-wall cafe. Great value for money and definite must do meal (kaya toast) when in Singapore
Best breakfast so far!!! And the owners are very nice and accommodating 🩷🩷🩷 MUST VISIT!
Best Kaya jam in town. I can not get any better than theirs.
The main branch in killiney road have their history amd consistent quality. Their kopi O is really awesome and legend. Food also awesome, of course it is kopitiam food. 👍👍👍try their kopi O or kopi peng and also their food in this main branch
Coffee is of good quality beans but made diluted. Food catered mainly for tourists taste buds, would prefer cheaper and authentic flavor elsewhere.
Don’t get the hype - toast is crispy, but the kaya and butter are mild in flavour. I prefer the sweet and salty contrast to be more distinct.
Friendly staff and good taste of local breakfast. Cant wait to come again!
Loved it. Chee Cheong Fun was awesome.
Lots of bikes and lycia really so I fitted right in
The best mee siam restaurant in Singapore 🇸🇬
Apparently the food is different from the Palo Alto restaurant. I ordered the curry chicken and the chicken was like some weird chicken chop.
More food selection since this is the original Killiney Kopitiam.
Walking distance to Orchard GateWay and 313 Orchard Road; both are shopping malls.
The toasts are the best! Laksa was alright. It's very hot and stuffy here, prepare to sweat!
Kaya toast place. Food is ok but nothing special. French toast in USA made from egg challah is much better than Kaya toast and bread quality could be better. Very basic bread quality which is somewhat boring for New Yorker that has best bread bakeries next to France.
old school french toast. efficient service. willing to travel here just for this!
V nice traditional bread toast w soya grass jelly. Change kaya butter filling to marjerin w sugar.
We attended Kiliney as we were staying nearby and had a voucher. We were blown away by the authenticity of the place and quality of service and food. Their kaya butter is delicious with their Kopi. Service is great. Highly recommended!
Great place for having coffee toast n local food for breakfast and others
Very recommended place
My first Kaya Toast, pretty tasty and well priced.
Good food and good prices! Nothing to complain about here!
If you're looking for a local breakfast place, this is it. Opens 6.30 with the usual local kopi/teh options and traditional favourites. Pick a table, queue to order and wait for the food to arrive. The server in the morning looks like a senior uncle but moves with such energy and a sunny disposition. Very friendly and kind. The shop is spacious with tables along the wall and tends to get busy with office folks stopping by to order their coffee to go. So don't be daunted if you see a queue. Food is served within 5-10 min.
Luv the soup , but not the meatball
Slowly starting to become my mid day pick me up! The teh is so flavourful!
Not as cheap as hawker center but enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Nice and cosy little kopi shop, with your usual kopi and the options. Has this nostalgic feel to it and only uses fans, so it can quite hot during the day. The tasty kopi and food options like laksa, Mee Siam, Mee rebus, and kaya toast options makes up for it.
Had mee rebus. Ok. Sauce is very thick. Prefer more watery sauce. Friend who had mee Siam said it was average. Another person had laksa. It must be delicious because when he finished, we were only half way through!
Interesting place. They claim to be the oldest Kopitiam (coffee shop) in Singapore. They lose a point for being out of many dishes. VERY limited menu....no diet drinks. Delicious toasted fresh bread.
Authentic local food, great coffee and toast at reasonable price.
Old school style kopitiam serving dishes like curry chicken, mee rebus, mee siam, otak, nasi lemak and the likes.
It's the breakfast menu you come here for. Kaya/butter toast, French toast, half boil eggs, chee cheong fun etc.
Complete with vintage styled marble top tables and traditional kopitiam chairs, this place is a hark back to the good old days.
Food is pretty good. Tries to be as authentic as possible recreating that musty old coffeeshop feel. Thumbs up for the trip down memory lane guys!
The one and only, original, Killiney Kopitiam. That's coffee shop in Hokkien, just in case you were wondering. Plenty of classic delights, from brewed robusta coffee with condensed milk, to chicken curry with chunks of baguette on the side, and of course - classic Hainanese style toast bread with kaya (East Asian egg custard) on top. Delicious, and worth braving the crowds!
Kopi o siew dai is really good local tradition coffee.
Good food and service
Legendary kopitiam..
Order chicken curry + bread toast.. dipped alternately.. + served hot..
my favorite kopitiam in SGP!!! The uncle was very good at finding a seat while queuing
Like delicious toast and half boiled egg. The chee cheong fun is even better. Very busy in the morning. One of the legendary kopitiams in Singapore. Must try Killiney here!
since1919. head office.
The coffee is Singapore style coffee with a little condensed milk on the bottom. The rich taste of black coffee brewed with acidic coffee beans and the soft taste of condensed milk on the aftertaste. It had much lower sugar content than Vietnamese condensed milk coffee, so it was good to eat with toast. Milk tea with ginger has a very strong ginger scent, so even if you drink just a little bit, your body will feel hot. What is the nostalgic Milo chocolate milk? The taste of knowing everything^^
I ate well.
Beautiful! Local place with locals. No air conditioning but fans, so you stay nice and cool without getting sick.
You can also take the drink to go, which comes with a sort of small bag attached to make it convenient to carry around.
