Reviews of Lau Wang Claypot Delights @ Pasir Ris Mall
The ambience was nice and service was good. The food was served quickly and well prepared.
The claypot chicken was nicely seasoned and well cooked. Fish herbal soup was flavourful. The ngor hiong skin was a bit tough though. Brinjawl was nice too.
Same price point as they were previously at serangoon. Good to know that.
Overall definitely worth a try!
Lau wang's portion is never disappointing and value for money too. Tried the mala and their XO soup for the first time but didnt really like it. The mala was really very MAAAAA and LAAAA. XO soup was too milky. Sesame oil chicken and liver is still the best so far. Will be back again~~
It is worth a visit if you haven’t tried. The food is on the savoury side and rich on flavours. Ordered small and Portion is good for 2-3 pax. We ordered the sesame oil chicken which was tasty and the mala prawns with lotus was numbing but not overly spicy. Kakong was cooked just right, not overcooked and was tasty. Lemongrass drink is with some chia seeds and doesn’t taste too sweet.
Service was prompt too. Prices are reasonable.
The food was superb! Sesame chicken was delicious and fried fish dumplings were fresh and crispy. The service was normal and atmosphere was cozy. Really recommend the fish dumplings!
We used to have meals at Lau Wang Claypot at Tampines 1. Today is the 1st time hubby bought dinner home at the new Pasir Ris Mall. As both of us were enjoying our dinner, I bite onto something hard and sharp. When I spilt it out, I was shocked to see that it was a tiny little crab claw. OMG what will happen if any of the old parents or young children has accidentally ate and swallowed it?
The food is all delicious, but what disappointed me this time is that I ordered a large bowl of sesame oil chicken, but the portion was obviously much smaller than before (simply put, there was too much juice and too little meat, which is no different from the small portion). I hope it can be improved 😊
