Reviews of Le Chasseur
This is one of the best place for claypot rice. I have also tried their other dishes and I highly recommend this place. They don’t use MSG and the food are still tasty.
Ordered the large claypot rice, pig trotters, egg omelette and grass jelly drink.
The trademark claypot rice is average with little pieces of chicken. You can find better ones elsewhere. The rest of the food items were also average as well. Nothing much to comment about. 😐
Moved here from New Bridge Road since about 3 years ago.
The BBQ live prawn in Singapore, good price, quality of food. The picture shows a Lo-Hei dish offered only during Chinese New Year.
Visited the place again on 14 Feb 2022. The restaurant still has the tradition of offering Lo Hei during the Chinese New Year. And the dish differs from the others in that the chef adds crispy yam and fresh vegetables to the ingredients and gives a refreshing taste like a healthy salad.
The menu is pretty unique for a zi char place among industrial area. The food is value for money and delicious though I would give the Sotong You Tiao a miss the next time. The Sotong doesn't taste like Sotong in my opinion.
Better than average claypot rice. They uses basmati rice which makes them very unique. Claim to have no msg too so good for those who prefers natural taste. The plus point is the pricing .total $58 for all these !!!
Quite a large place at Eunos industrial estate. They do not use MSG in their cooking so it’s quite popular with families. Famous for their claypot rice. One of the better ones in Singapore although a little more pricey as well. Generous amount of chicken which was well marinated and tender. The portion for the dishes are generally quite small, just enough for 2-3 person to share. We enjoyed the prawn paste chicken as well. Comes with a extra spicy chicken rice chilli sauce that complements it.
The Damage (no drinks): S$30-60 for two
Unassuming zi char in a foodcourt off of the Eunos station. Food is home cooked Chinese comfort food. We liked the Deep Fried Crispy Pork Knuckle
~~TRY😍:

The claypot rice was OK but the watercress soup was quite bland. Honestly, I found the price is at the high side since it's just a coffee shop at industrial area. The philipino waiter who served us was quite prompt in service though. There's not crowd during lunch time when we went there on weekday.
food is nice, price is affordable. parking is free by the side.
village style kopitiam at the back of eunos-village. as with village-concept of relaxed-ambienceband wipe mouth with sleeve, it scores on being good representation. the further one (kopitiam hae claypot) near "act-queen-hotel" is even more village and relaxed. concept theme 4 stars. cannot raise service or will lose village feel
Situated just beside my workplace; didn't receive very good reviews from the neighbours in the area but still decided to try it
Had to do take-away due to the covid restrictions.
Ordered their large portion ($24), with an additional side dish ($6)
Bill came in at $30.90 so I had a quick glance and saw food packaging cost at $0.70 and $0.20 respectively.
I was like ok; since it's the large portion the packaging might be more costly
Was disappointed when I saw that then packaging was in the small transparent plastic square box (for normal zichar stall) and the side dish in a standard Styrofoam lunch box (the type u get while ordering mixed vegetable rice) proceeded on to question the lady boss if the packaging fee was charged appropriately but in turn I received a snide remark that I could bring my own take away box (shrugs....)
4.5 stars for food standards
-1.5 for trash attitude
PS: portion is a little small.
Hong kong steam grouper super fresh n yummy. Cost is reasonable. Veg n prawn paste taste good too
Love the food here. The claypot rice, bbq squid, homemade toufu is awesome. Love to come here as a family, only thing is that it’s a bit far as we come from the west. I would say it’s worth the travel🚗!
It's a coffee shop environment but who cares when food is good. Their main dish is claypot rice and I thought it rather nice. Had some soup as well and it goes well. Location a bit ulu but worth going.
Good experience dining here with family for a weekday dinner, ordered their specialities and dishes were authentic and ingredients fresh.
No msg used and true enough soup was great without leaving a thirsty after taste.
Very nice community garden done up as well.
Delicious Organic food! Claypot rice, bittergourd soup, omellete otak otak & a must have tausuan.
Saw very good reviews here, came to tabao. Maybe because it's tabao so the quality might be compromised, taste really below expectation. The fried Ngoh hiang not feel very fresh, the claypot rice so so. But I must say the price is really lower then most Zichar, for that I give 3 stars.
Cozy restaurant tucked away in the middle of an industrial estate. The surrounding greenary decoration and mini lotus pond will make you forget you are in an industrial area. Try their Tau Suan dessert of yellow bean and dough stick.
Is tough to rate. The standard of the food has dropped over the last 5yrs. The portion is for 4pax mostly so if you have more than 5pax, you must order 2 portions. The clay pot rice is not as nice as last time. The coffee ribs, sweet sour ribs, pork leg beehoon, sambal eggplants are nice
A coffeeshop that you can still find kopio o for $1.10 and kopi for $1.20!
Nice feel to the environment with pond and potted plants.
Love rhe Claypot stall. All the items at that stall are good!
The food is nice.
Forgot to take photos.
Best to call for table reservations as it doesn't have many tables.
If you want to order the claypot rice and not yet decided on the other dishes, order Claypole rice 1st.
It's cook from scratch so will take longer time.
Vegetables soup is small serving , maybe 2 pax portion.
Soup is refreshing and tastes fresh.
Ingredients fresh and very reasonably priced.
Ordered grilled sotong, beef stew, claypot rice and sotong youtiao. All were very good.
Grilled sotong had the charcoal flavour and a lil burnt at the edges to my liking. From the photo and the price, thought it would be quite big but was actually only about 10~12 cm long (excluding the tentacles).
Beef stew is not the western style. The stew is actually on the soupy side and kinda like 高汤 found in restaurant (of course not exactly comparable as the soup is not made of pricy 金华火腿). Plenty of beef tendon, beef and a beef part that looks kinda like pig stomach (dunno what it is call).
S sized Claypot rice has the charcoal flavour albeit a lil small but enough for 3 pax with sides to go along. I knew it was cooked using charcoal because i got soot on my hand when scoping out the rice while holding the side of the claypot. Someone commented no guo ba when he ordered take away. I disgree. Mine had. I think that guy forget that you need to leave the rice in the claypot for a while after the soya sauce is mixed in to get that guo ba.
Youtiao is unlike those typically found at other zhichar stalls. It is much more thicker and you can taste the sotong paste in it.
Didn't feel thirsty after makan i.e. no msg
Although it was in a kopitiam, the service provided by this guy who was doing all the waitering was impeccable. Way better than some restaurant. I was there on fri night at about 7.30pm and most table weren't filled. Maybe that explain. Hope he is appropriately renumerated by the boss.
Lastly, was very glad that all the dishes and rice were served using porcelain plates and bowls as it does improve food tasting. Hope to try the pork rib, ngoh hiong and other dishes next time.
Cosy, nice, delicious, no msg, no GST, no service charge.
Still very nice food, 👍
Went there on a dime with my colleagues. Two things stood out for me and they are definitely worth the try:
1. The otah omelette
2. The claypot rice (duh!)
Those guys make a mean chilli too! I got to say this as well: the way these guys make the claypot rice is so unique in process it is worth the trip down itself! Who wheels over the claypot, dizzles dark soy sauce and mixes it all up in front of you? These are the guys who do. The result of all that is fragrant, charred rice blended well with the sauce. Couple that with that otah omelette and you will never again see Paya Lebar as nothing more than 3 shopping centres with overpriced food. This hidden gem is worth it!
Spacious setting and recommend to make bookings before gg. Food are generally delicious though the portion are quite small compared to normal zi char standard, so may need double/triple servings if you have large group. We were 10pax there and we ordered 1 portion of a variety of dishes and that kinda make up for the small portion... their claypot rice is very nice! ‘Otah egg omelette’ is a surprise find and taste superb! Staff are friendly. Good for family dinners.
The claypot rice was nice. The rice was cooked perfectly with chicken, lapchiong and salted fish.. please wait patienly bcos they will need 20-25 minutes to prepare..
Claypot rice was absolutely delicious! I always order their watercress soup. Soup is light but flavorful. Definitely no msg added. Steam fish and Sambal Eggplant always a winner!!
Free parking for those who drive!
Overall food experience is great and prices are kept reasonably well. Can be quite warm at times since this a situated in an industrial area canteen.
Who would have thought you can find nice clay pot rice in the middle of an industrial estate?
The fact that the shop don’t use MSG or any artificial flavoring ups my rating too.
Really good cooking with no msg or flavouring. Almost everything is wonderful! Claypot rice, Crispy Pork knuckles, Steamed fish, Coffee Pork rib, bitter gourd soup. BBQ or cereal prawns, salted fish taugeh, Vinegar Pork Leg, Prawn roll, chin chow drinks & tau suan for dessert. Homemade food with nice garden & pond set up by the stall.
Nice food... Friendly boss.
We had pork knuckles, claypot chicken rice, oatmeal tofu, prawn paste chicken, steamed fish HK style, and ngor hiang. All dishes are very delicious. The lady boss was very helpful in recommending her best sellers as well as serving size for our big group.
Claypot rice was goos, prawn paste chicken was on point, huge variety of tze char dishes.
Don't forget to try their grass jelly drink and their tao suan!!
Nicest hawker centre with ponds & garden.
This stall has no msg, preservatives. Clay pot rice, pork rib, soup, vegetables, pork knuckle, vinegar pig trotters, prawn roll, bbq squid, prawns, fish & tau suan.
The food is good.. they are famous for the clay pot rice..the desert is tousuan and it taste good. Not expensive and price quite reasonable.
The prawn paste chicken and the Ngo Hiang is a must try, reasonably price good food. Did not managed to try the Pig stomach soup as it was not ready yet.
Nice claypot rice. Can get a bit warm as it is located at a industrial canteen (non air-con).
Like the Indian Briyani with mutton... Thick and uhm but chicken rice below standard cheap tho. Claypot rice famous.
Claypot was awesome. Other foods was so so
Great ambience, nice view. The claypot rice is good. We enjoyed our time here!
Food above average.
Ambience better than average Zhi Cha.
There is a fish pond and real grape vine!
So so food and claypot probably was better last time. Its a normal eatery place.
One of the best claypot chicken rice. Visit on weekday dinner time to avoid the crowd
The place is clean and the food is very nice.
Well hidden hood tze char. Must try the dishes displayed like the pork knuckle.
decent fare at reasonable prices...good for large groups!
Love the claypot chicken, soups and homemade chin chau
Very friendly owner and nice affordable food.
Came here for claypot rice. It was okay. Nothing special.
Healthy clay pot rice using basmati rice
A decent place that's not too crowded.
Lovely fragrant claypot rice!!!

A restaurant that is a local hangout spot located just a short walk from Eunos Station.
It's a complex with a few other restaurants.
You write what you want to eat on the order sheet and order! The BBQ shrimp was absolutely delicious.
Next time I'd like to order their specialty claypot rice ^^
The food is average....
