Reviews of Lee's Taiwanese
We enjoyed the signature braised pork rice, but our meal was unfortunately marred by a rude encounter with a waitress. She abruptly demanded that we move to a smaller table to accommodate a larger group. Such a lack of courtesy was disappointing.
All tables full on Sun when they just open at 11.30am. Got the mianxian (can change intestines to meat balls), beef noodles and tea. $30++ for 2 pax incl. GST and service charge, so it's quite ok price. But service is slow.
Nice cozy vibes in a shop house enclave of private houses! Great Taiwanese food and the place offers both indoor and outdoor seatings. Felt nice to be taken back to a quiet area away from the bustling hectic work life of Singapore. Free parking along the streets outside but do not that some lots are marked with unit numbers which I presume are for residents in the area.
The beef noodles are great, and the fried chicken was juicy and tasty! Easy parking too.
Located in a quaint area Faber. Highly recommend pork and chives dumpling. Braised pork rice, chicken and braised pork mix plate, recommended. Enjoyable experience. Fast service and easy to park too.
Great authentic food, our usual go-places for Taiwanese cuisine. Their 鹹水雞 is new in the menu and tastes good (but lacking the alcohol taste as compared to the night markets in Taiwan). We always go for their two mains here, and also 雞排, which can never go wrong.
Missing star is due to the food service speed.
Great value simple taiwanese fare.
Their Lu Rou fan (braised pork on rice) tastes of great home cooking.
Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.
Fried salt and pepper chicken and rice was also nicely flavoured with five spice seasoning.
Loved how all the dishes were very wholesome and came with mustard green veggies and braised tofu and egg on the sides.
Place is nice and cosy in a relaxing residential estate.
Located in a quiet neighborhood. Parking is limited. Food is very competitively priced. Flavor is above average. Some dishes the flavoring is abit excessive. Service is prompt. Fried pork chop is worth a try. Beef noodle is above average.
One of the better Taiwanese restaurants here in Singapore. The braised pork rice is comparable with what you get in Taiwan and if you get the special it’s a huge portion that’s more than enough for one person.
Fried chicken is sooooooOooo good!! One the most authentic I’ve tasted thus far in sg. We ordered the rice with braised pork and fried chicken and couldn’t resist getting another serving of the chicken afterwards.
Beef noodles broth tad too beefy but loved its robustness.
This place has seen better days. Located in a rather isolated part north of Clementi/Faber Crest, Lee offers both indoors and outdoors seating.
Place is quiet on a weekend with pockets of couple or small families.
What to eat?
The beef noodles is nice but price is rather high for its rather small portion.
The braised minced meat rice
The salted chicken is alright
Nothing to rave about but reasonable fare.
Stumbled upon this cafe and was surprisingly decent. It is a little out of way though, hidden in the middle of private estate. 2A2C had our lunch which costs about $50+. Food is tasty and decent in size.
Would certainly come back here again.
Authentic Taiwanese braised beef noodle in Clementi area. Noodle is thinner, chewy, and soup has already got chilli in it albeit not spicy (neither is the condiment chilli oil). Soup is of braised variety (hong shao) with herb taste that's unmistakably Taiwanese. The braised minced pork rice (lo ba bung) is one of the best tasting around but definitely could use more meat. Drinks were too sweet, consume at your own risk. As for the Chinese lady, she was polite and we were treated nicely but judging from the way she handled soiled dishes I'm more than certain she isn't from Taiwan. Would return for the food.
Went on 9 Mar 24. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch there. Food was very tasty and suits my taste bud. Highly recommended.
###SingaporeRediscover### Found this authentic Taiwanese restaurant in the quiet neighbourhood of Faber Hill (between Clementi and Jurong East)... Their Lee’s Signature Rice consists of both braised pork (滷肉)and fried chicken (鹹酥雞) served with braised egg, pickled vegetables and snow beancurd on the sides!
Fulfilled my cravings of Taiwanese cuisine when all planes are grounded!! Haha.. Food tastes good and price is reasonable! Support!!
Likes: Decent portion. Food tastes good.
Came here for the Pig Intestines Meesua and have to say that it totally hit the spot. Piping hot and delicious and does not have that offensive taste. We were totally satiated.
Tip: Must try their Signature Rice (pictured) which has a mix of braised pork, crispy chicken, beancurd, salted vegetable.
Our Overall Rating: 4 Stars (i.e. Will Come Back here again).
Update 2021-02-04: We came back here again. The Meesua is still consistently good and piping hot. The crispy intestine is a must try! Rating Upgraded to 5 stars!

Have been to this place multiple times. Small authentic Taiwanese restaurant located in quite an ulu area, pretty inaccessible if aren’t driving. Nearest station is Clementi mrt. The lady serving us is always attentive to our needs. Consistent in food quality and priced affordably. Will come here if I have craving for Taiwanese food.
Went to a few Taiwanese food place in Singapore but this one is the best so far. It isnt very flavourful, but just the right note.
A very humble but good place! Beef noodle is very authentic flavour! Would love to back here try other dishes if come nearby area
Food is yummay… authentic Taiwanese taste. Reasonably priced. Good portion :)
Food standard. Quite oily
Order their Signature Bento via Food Panda which came with a 15% discount. It has a bit of everything from the braised pork, tofu, salt & pepper chicken and pickled cucumber. Found it to be pretty good and delicious. Loved the salt and pepper chicken which was well-seasoned and tender. The braised pork is slightly oily but yummy. The tofu's good too. The bento came with a drink of the day which was a Iced Lemon Tea.
Authentic Taiwanese cuisine, especially the dumplings. Reasonable price. If you are looking for a good place to have a nice and private catch up, do consider Lee's restaurant.
Quaint. Cosy. Yummy. Enuff said.
Tip for first timers - when they give you multiple menus to order on , consolidate all orders on one menu. Or orders may be missed.
Nice atmosphere, average Taiwanese food. Try to order bundle meal to have a balanced food taste
All good here except the chinese lady who serve us is not friendly. She just wanted customer to hear her and follow what she wants 😅 ....hmm she is not suitable to work at service line ... dine in feeling underpresure haha lolz.... scared being punished or got dicipline by her ...haha
Lack of staff. The noodle a bit salty to me, other than that the other food consider with high quality
small cozy restaurant, prices reasonable and food taste authentic
The beef noodles and mee sua are not bad. Quiet on a week day lunchtime period. Parking is not an issue.
Decent tasting Taiwanese food, the chicken shreds rice had too much sauce, signature rice plate was ok.
Wouldn't especially make a trip down again.
Very nice authentic Taiwanese food in the Faber private enclave!
The soup is very flavorful. The noodles texture is great too. But I think the noodles is too thick for the broth. This noodle size will go well with sticky sauces. Reducing the thickness of the noodle will allow it to go better with the soup(watery texture). Beef is tender. But the price is on the higher side as the Taiwanese airconditioned eatery near my home also serves delicious beef noodles at less than $10(serving size about the same). Service was great as the caucasian staffs were very friendly.
Edit: I tried their fried chicken chop and it was delicious! So flavorful and well marinated. So am raising the rating. I will be back for their fried chicken chop.
Authentic Taiwanese food at an affordable price in a tranquil environment. Well worth the trip!
Good food good service!
Delicious Taiwanese food. Can't wait to come back to try more dishes.
A hidden find! Pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Authentic Taiwanese food!
Food is delicious, taste like what we had in Taiwan :)
excellent taiwan food. tasty and reasonably priced.
Braised minced pork rice is close enough to those authentic ones in Taiwan.
The meesua tastes delicious and the amount of vinegar in it is just nice didn’t make it too sour/acidic taste.
Crispy chicken chop, though was not served with red chilli powder, was good.
Price is very reasonable.
Literally ordered the salt and pepper chicken on foodpanda. Paid $12+ for less than 10 tiny pieces??? Ridiculously little. The food is good but the prices for the portions is sad.
My go to place for authentic Taiwanese food. This is the original branch hidden in the west of Singapore. Great food and great service. All your typical Taiwanese stuff like oyster Mee sua, braised pork rice, golden fried chicken leg and also fried pork chop. If you are in the west just go, you won't be disappointed.
It was my first time trying pig intestine mee sua! I expected the intestine to be tough and chewy, but it was actually really silky and soft! The broth was thick and decadent. I'll definitely come back for more
Delicious Taiwanese food - 卤肉饭 and pork chop rice are great dishes. My family also like the side dishes such as 盐酥鸡. There is beef noodles too.
Authentic taiwanese beef noodles. Will come back soon for more Taiwanese food.
Very nice the salt pepper chicken rice ($8.80), chicken chop rice and the mee sua pork ball. Its value for money. For the taste, quality and quantity, its value for money. Will come back again.
The food is good. But the waitress is very rude and unpleasant. She looks like her boss owe her money. It really makes the whole experience less than desirable.
Legit Taiwanese Food! Die die must try loh.
Very homely Taiwanese food that has generous portions at an affordable price. A rare gem in the West indeed, perhaps due to its off-the beaten track location!!👍👍
Great experience 😁.
Authentic Taiwanese Food, cosy place with nice food.
Really good, authentic flavors. Would be even better if it was more easily accessible with public transport.
Please replace 美耐皿 bowls
We had the signature rice, beef noodle soup and the dumplings. Brings me back to Taiwan. Nice little gem here.
Serves nice taiwanese food on the menu.
Restaurant is in a nice quiet corner. Just park at the side with lots of parking spaces on a weekday afternoon.
If you are trying to find authentic taiwanese food, this is the place to go. This is definitely one of the better ones in Singapore.
Tasty food, quick serving of noodles, cooling indoor seating
Authentic Taiwanese street food.
Decent Taiwanese dishes to enjoy with family or friends at the quiet corner of Faber Hill.
Bought two plates of Lee’s signature rice.
Good stuff, worth every penny.
Authentic Taiwanese food. Very tasty!
Reasonable prices!
Authentic good quality and affordable Taiwanese food!
Had beef noodles. The noodles and soup were amazing. Love it.
The most authentic Taiwanese restaurant in Singapore, the braised pork rice and braised beef noodles are delicious. The crispy large intestine is a dish that is hard to find in Singapore. The large intestine is very clean and has no fishy smell.
The fried chicken steak is very tender, the braised large intestine is clean and has no odor, the beef noodle soup is very special, and the ginger in the cabbage pot sticker filling plays a wonderful role.
I highly recommend the salted crispy chicken. The skin is super crispy and the filling is soft and tender. It is the best I have eaten in Singapore so far!!! The taste is also very strong when paired with winter melon tea!! The beef noodles have a lot of meat slices and the noodles are chewy!
This is an affordable and delicious Taiwanese restaurant. I really like their chicken steak, which has an ancient Taiwanese flavor! The signature double combo is braised pork rice and salt-fried chicken, a double delicacy that satisfies you at once. My favorite is the crispy pig intestines with Scallion. The salty, crispy and chewy pig intestines are paired with scallions, and are oily but not greasy. ! If you can pair it with a glass of Taiwanese beer, it will feel like you are in Taiwan
The food is average, the fried chicken steak is crispy, but the beef noodles are a bit hard and tasteless, and it feels like they could be a little thinner.
The taste is quite authentic, but the location is not easy to find⋯
The portion of beef noodles is actually quite large, although the bowl doesn’t look very big⋯
Then the salted crispy chicken is really delicious⋯
I want to try braised pork rice next time I go there
Foodie friends, come quickly! A store not to be missed!
Highly recommend the salted crispy chicken, dumplings, beef noodles and braised pork rice 👍✨The salted crispy chicken is very crispy and not too oily, the store sprinkles pepper and salt, the dumplings are big and juicy, the beef noodles are thick, and the soup is slightly salty A little bit, but it doesn’t affect the overall smell and taste. The braised pork rice has ingredients such as eggs, pickles, dried tofu, etc. The rice is moderately soft and hard👌 not too grainy or too rotten. The whole bowl is very solid and full, which is rare. Eat a super Taiwanese taste in Singapore ✌️ The delivery package with the APP comes with a drink (green tea). During peak dining hours, the store mostly takes orders for delivery, so you need to wait a little. In addition, there is a parking space in front of the store, and there are many places for inside use. The boss lady The people are very nice and nice. The store said that delivery will cost more than $70, or you can call in advance to order and then go to the store to pick it up. Overall, it is highly recommended👍
