Tried the much-raved about chicken chop, as well as fish and chips for dinner as the ragout was sold out.
The chicken chop lived up to expectation, nicely charred and juicy, with very generous serving of sides.
The fries were decently crisp, the coleslaw still had a nice crunch and the mashed potatoes had a generous serving of brown sauce.
The owner and chef are very friendly ladies too, who also gave us kit kats for Valentine's. A sweet end to our meals.
The coffeeshop is well-ventilated and not crowded during dinner. Nice peaceful place for a meal.
Hope to come back again to try the ragout too!
Been wanting to try this western food whenever I came for the WTM next to it. Tried the chicken chop for $8.90 and was not disappointed. Chicken is well marinated and taste good though I would prefer it to be more char and crisp at the sides. Both fries and coleslaw are nice and serve in generous portion, easily twice of similar stalls in kopitiams. Owner is friendly and also I like the relax industrial canteen vibe at this place, with plenty of parking.
Unexpected find. Prices are not cheap but portions are generous. Fries were excellent - crispy outside, fluffy inside and not oily. Chicken chop was grilled till the skin was crispy but turned soggy fast because of the black pepper sauce. Wish there was an option for brown/mushroom sauce which would be more kid-friendly. Chicken ragout with bread was good. Ragout gravy tastes like a very creamy version of mushroom soup. Highly recommended if you are in the vicinity and not just go for the neighbouring stall.
Came here for their chicken chop but ordered the Crispy Cheesy Chicken instead and what a good change of heart that was. Probably had the best rendition of this dish esp concocting it with chicken rather than pork. Only downside was the coleslaw, too vinegarish and lacking creaminess, very typical hawker western food coleslaw.
Excellent food. Love the chop and buttery mashed potato. Coffeeshop very warm, due to hot weather.
Nice chicken chop! Will be back to try other food soon.
The mash potato is to-die-for.
The Salmon is fresh and the hollandaise sauce compliments it perfectly!
The Pork Chop marinate is NICE! Not the usual black pepper or mushroom. The salad was fresh and crunchy, nice sauce with sesame. Plus a generous portion of french fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Fish & Chips was superb too! The fish fillet was good, it did not have the ugly fishy taste! Haha.
The staff were enthusiastic and smiley. They were extremely happy when we went up to them at the end of our meal to complement the food.
If they serve soup, it would have been PERFECT!
I will definitely come back to try other items, and bring friend when more can dine out.
Do check them out. It is good food at reasonable prices.
Tried signature chicken chop. Rich taste of sweet and sour with a bit of peppery sauce. Chicken thigh meat was juicy and tender. Old school coleslaw and fries. For the portion, you got the value for money.
love the friendliness and the food is really good! A little pricey but definitely worth it given the portion and the generous amount of portion!
Awesome food. Great serving. Must try Aglio Olio Pasta and their homemade coleslaw!
The food is fantastic.
