Reviews of Little Italy - Katong
Always have an awesome time whenever we come here. The service is exceptional and always very welcoming. Great food and service, what more could you ask for!🥳
This restaurant is an astounding place to eat at, let alone the extraordinary service and memories we have collected over the years. I would highly recommend visiting here, as they make customers feel so at home with their welcoming attitude. I just love the environment and atmosphere here! :)
- By a loyal customer, and their extraordinary awesome teenagers
Had a nice meal at this outlet, the cheesy pork dish was full of savoury flavour. The seafood pasta was simple but the seafood was fresh and the sauce tangy and tasty. The service was friendly and efficient and the venue was relaxed and simple. Will be back to try some other dishes.
Looks like an authentic italian restaurant with delicious food made by Italian chef ! We ordered the signature pizza and I enjoyed the thin crust and the flavourful toppings. They are not full of toppings like the retail chains however I have been told that the authentic Italian pizzas are based on the quality crust and simple quality toppings.
Carbonara is really delicious with full of flavours which made by fresh egg yolk. Service crew came to remind us to best consume it while it’s hot ! But even it is gone abit cold, the flavour profile still there !
We really enjoyed the platter which consists of prosciutto and the burrata cheese with bread- A MUST ORDER! Fresh ingredients used and a decent variety of wines to choose from.
The service here is alright, but it can get busy however they are very attentive to your needs.
The portion given is generous and I could not finish so sadly we did not order a dessert ! Would love to try other pizza flavours and dessert next time ! Plus it has a really nice and chilling ambience !
Price per person : around 50-60/person
Great experience here!
Food is great, service is great, drinks are great. Lovely Italian experience!
Terrific dining experience at Little Italy at katong , with cozy ambience and awesome service by Manager and his dedicated service crew! Food was really good, especially the pizza, pasta & homemade tiramisu. A must order right there! It's also great for family dining! Will definitely come back again for the wonderful food and service! Thumbs up! 👍👍
Food was a bit and miss, but service was excellent.
I’m not a Burrata person, but this one was really good. Segmented pizza toppings came as a surprise, but tasted great nonetheless.
Lasagna was decent, but nothing special - could be more generous with the meat.
Risotto was disappointing - rice was grainy and lacked flavour.
Overall, still a good meal.
I've always passed by this place without really noticing it. But what a wonderful surprise! The pizza here was really nice and the crust was chewy and tasty too. We also ordered the seabass and the chicken parmigiana, both of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend you try this place out.
Went for an early dinner on a weekend.
The ambiance has a very casual feel to it and the outdoor seating is nice and cosy especially when the weather is cooler.
We ordered a Bufalina pizza to share along with a spinach ravioli. No drinks or appetisers.
The pizza was nice with a good flavourful sauce and buffalo cheese on it. Im not a fan of thin crusts but overall a good pizza.
The let down was the ravioli. It felt quite doughy without any strong flavour of cheese, sauce or spinach. Had to send that back as it was just not enjoyable.
The service is competent and polite.
Im sure the place has better stuff to offer so would surely give it another chance!
Chanced upon Little Italy while was looking for food along Tanjong Katong Road. It was crowded and we managed to score a table. Ordered a pizza and risotto. Pizza came pretty quick and trust me it was delicious. Had a delay in serving the risotto and when it came, the rice was uncooked. Server asked if we would like to change it to something else and we changed it to the short pasta. Absolutely deliciously! Despite being busy, they were apologetic for the the delay as well as the quality of the food. Will definitely come back for more! Thanks for the sweet treat!
We liked the food we ordered except the vegetarian pasta at Sgd28/- with really nothing in it is not worth paying that price. The little italy pizza is not too bad. The staff and chef are very friendly and helpful and patient to share things we are ignorant of ;)
One of my favourite restaurants in Singapore. Look out for Meng or Marin, they will find you a seat and accomodate you. The food is consistently amazing, matched by the diligent service from the staff, who will listen to your requests and even make helpful recommendations. Look out for the weekly/monthly specials as they always have something surprising. 10/10 would recommend for a lovely meal, date night or an occasion to celebrate.
Seafood Risotto- lovely, Little Italy Pizza- the best in the world! Great dough and cheese! Steak- awesome!
My first time coming to the Tg Katong outlet. Love that ample parking is available at the carpark behind. Pastas are authentic and delicious as usual, thought the portion is a bit small and slightly pricey.
Nice cosy vibes but a little quiet. No Kris+ or Entertainer promotions available unlike the Hexacube outlet.
Our favourite Italian restaurant here in SG! The food is phenomenal - you get an authentic taste of Italy here. Complimentary water and bread is always included. The service is also always so friendly and prompt. My husband and I fell in love with both their Parma Burrata (appetizer) and Truffle Porcini (pasta) and both have been a must order every time we’re here! They have the classic carbonara tossed in cheese wheel. It’s a neat experience to watch the Chef prep it for you!
It’s always quite busy so do make sure to make a reservation ahead of time to save yourself from having to wait for a table.
Super good Italian food. Will return.
Just don't order cannoli dessert. Everything else is perfect. My son loves the four cheese, which doesn't have red sauce.
Authentic Italian food and looking to visit again to try their pizza and oysters which are sold out. Great place to chill with our furkids.
The food is so good! You can get really great pasta, wine and pizza. I am a fan of good pasta and I must say it’s one of the best in SG.
Had the carbonara, Parma ham pizza and tiramisu, unfortunately the pasta was a little bland and there was very little bacon, the pizza was perfectly done! The crust was crispy and savoury with a good amount of sauce! Ended the night with their tiramisu, a must try too!Staff were friendly and it was a very cosy space. Would definitely be back to try their focaccia and burrata 🤪
Brought my family to the restaurant. We enjoyed the food immensely and the service was exceptionally friendly. Special thanks to Adnan for making the night enjoyable
One of the best Italian places in Singapore. The staff is always so warm and welcoming , but also knowledgeable and able to give recommendations if you're unsure.
The food is great and portion sizes aren't too small like other places. I highly recommend the gnocchi with tomato sauce and burrata along with the frozen lemon sorbet for dessert.
It can get a bit noisy inside especially if there's a large group but you can also sit outside for a more relaxed vibe.
Tldr: great date spot with amazing food!
First time visit, Burrata platter, lasagna and pizza were great.. didnt much like ravioli (thick) and pasta.. can try again soon!
Got service charge, but the waiters not even help u pour water or beer 😅😅😅not bz ma…hahaha
Never fails to satisfy my cravings - litle italy pizza + paccheri is just 💋 Ambiance is relaxing. Surrounding shops are interesting. It's nice to look out to the street while eating. Outdoor sitting is breezy. Perfect for catching up with friends and chit-chat. Crew is accomodating. Overall a lovely early dinner ❤️
First time I visited here, tried the pizza It was delicious! Very flavourful
This time we came back for some dessert and light bites & drinks. Don’t skip the tiramisu at the end of your meal :-)
It was amazing, super worth it!!! No negative comments from me and will definitely go again!!!
Came here early for dinner. Good service and explanation of the menu and specials of the day. Food was delicious! Good authentic Italian place for a date.
Little Italy, nestled in Singapore's Katong area, brings the true taste of Italy, even for an Italian like myself. Their pasta dishes are a real pleasure, with an authentic flavor that transports me back home. But it doesn't stop there: this gem also offers a range of other delectable plates too and let's not forget the incredible pizzas, with their thin, crispy crusts and mouthwatering toppings. Pricing i reasonable too and aligns perfectly with the excellent quality of the food. For an Italian culinary experience that won't break the bank, Little Italy is the place to be. Highly recommended.
Average food quality. Truffle fries has no truffle flavor, just salty, pizza may need more cheese, chicken parmigiana crispy, but salty, aglio olio with prawn may be the best balance.
Ordered via deliveroo but will walk over to the restaurant (2km from me) for the next review. Ordered the pizza and bruscetta. Bruscetta was overpriced but good and the pizza was spectacular. Quality ingredients and a perfect base. Flawless.
visited with my family for lunch. The staff were very friendly, courteous and pleasant. We ordered caprese, margherita and bolognese, all of which were really tasty and satisfying.
After the meal, the chef invited my son into the kitchen and let him make a pizza. I was very touched by this hospitality as I had never experienced anything like this before. My son was very happy and the chef let us take home the pizza we made together for free.
Generally like this joint, and have been to their other outlet along Changi Road quite a few times. It is a nice, no fuss joint, with good fare and just the right amount of frills - and not unreasonably priced.
That said, THIS outlet rather shocked me today when they said that they only had TWO baby seats for the entire store. Basically, there was no way for us to get two young kids in because there were already two young kids there!
This is:
1. Honestly a bit ridiculous for a upper mid market restaurant to only have capacity to serve two young kids at a time. You can basically only host one family at a time?
2. The prices of these seats aren't expensive and even hawker centres and food courts have 15-20 of them stacked in a corner. Thank you IKEA.
3. They're stackable and you have an entire shophouse to work with. Not having space is a terrible reason.
So unfortunately, will be skipping this place for a few years until the kids are old enough to sit in adult chairs. Recommend families with young children not take the risk of walking in and hoping for child seats.
Instead: (1) you have no more than 2 young kids; (2) call ahead to reserve to make sure you get those seats first!
A good selection of wines and pizza. The cannolli dessert was moderate, casing was too thick and hard. Nice ambience.
Been here many time. Very good food and very friendly wait staff.
Ordered the seafood risotto and capricciosa pizza via delivery and was really looking forward to trying the food because of the positive reviews! We really liked the pizza and they were very generous with the ingredients. The dough was fluffy yet still had a nice bite to it. However, we weren’t so fond of the risotto and would skip on it in future - the squid that was used was kinda rubbery and extremely large ringlets (probably frozen I think?) but tasteless so not really worth the price.
Cosy and intimate for both family and dates. Fresh pasta and absolutely delicious pizzas with good wines to pair with. Service by Ming is top notch, such a perfect host despite being constantly busy. Thank you for your lovely thoughts towards my mum and the kind celebratory treat for my birthday boy 🫰Great to have little italy so near to home for a genuine Italian treat anytime
For some reason the Grab address is wrong and had to walk abit but it's not the restaurants fault. I must say the food was delicious and worth the price tag. Pastas were well cooked and the overall balance of the dish was spot on with regards to the flavours, can definitely taste the ingredients and the pasta doesn't dominate the dish. The ingredients are very generous even on the pizzas. Will definitely return.
First time at Little Italy and impressed by the food and service in this authentic Italian restaurant! Spaghetti Scoglio was exceptionally delicious with fresh seafood and rich tasty tomatoe sauce! The friendly staff was responsive and knew what I wanted. I have been to a few Italian restaurants, but Little Italy is one of the rare few that I will definitely go to again!
I'd say so far, in over 3 years in Singapore, the best Italian food experience in a restaurant.
Worth highlighting the prosciutto that was sweet (as in "not salty", not as "with sugar added"!), cut thin, and melt-in-the-mouth as it should.
I can't express an opinion about the desserts because I didn't test them.
I have to thank my friend's recommendation, Little Italy Katong was a very pleasant discovery.
The service is excellent, the Italian owner is super kind and attentive. We followed his suggestions and everything was really delicious. To start, the Campari spritz was very well done and quite generous. The 'schiacciata' ( pizza bread with olive oil and rosemary) topped with Parma ham was great. The dough had the right texture, soft and crunchy at the same time. The Parma ham simply mouth watering.
Then we had seafood short pasta (mezze maniche). There was the right amount of seafood, tender and super fresh, the tomato based sauce was delicate, well balanced and had a soft, creamy texture without any cream or cheese in it. The good quality pasta was perfectly 'al dente'. They have a wide selection of wines reasonably priced. The pistacchio ice cream was also good. The atmosfere is nice both indoor and outdoor, it is simple, but with a modern urban look. All together a very pleasant experience. We'll come back.
Unfortunately I didn't take any picture.
A busy restaurant that has to manage online orders and an almost full house night. The pace can be felt with every footstep of the service staff who took pride in serving quality hot food. One the whole, the staff is attentive staff and warm. Food selection is wide and the ambience is just nice to chill ✨
Had dinner there last night. Four cheese pizza was outstanding, crust was thin and sufficient cheese.
Carbonara was good too
Seafood pasta was a bit pricey but very tasty
Place was quite empty
Very yummy italian food here! My kids were the one who bug us to go for lunch! Very consistent standards. This time i had the Vongole and it’s fresh & delicious! We also had the oysters and it’s very fresh too. Pizza dough is very good here too.
Very pleased. Excellent informed and friendly service, delicious food and even an entertaining show of food preparation by the chef! Must elaborate on the food: first, the best fried calamari I’ve had in a long, long time; second, light, flavorful pizza I could only finish half of (& they were very accommodating with my dairy allergy); and finally the very creamy, scrumptious lemon sorbet, Cleverly presented in a frozen lemon. Hard to beat this place.
Still the same good food and good service although new location.
I will indeed recommend to get bette and more convenient chairs in the outside fresco area. Your food and wine invites for a long term experience not a bar stool and short term dinner.
Try to look at Wine Connection. see how convenient their chars are.
Just a suggestion.
Excellent service. Staff provided good service & provided good recommendations for food. They serve vegetarian options as well. Good option for those who are vegetarians. Main course & dessert is suitable to my liking. Great.
Pizza 🍕 here very very nice tasty 😋...
Pizza chef master ..
Best pizza I've had!!!
Appetizers, pastas and wine are sooo delicious. Our new favourite restaurant in the hood.
The Seaford squid ink pasta was amazing, lots of seafood, the pasta was al-dente, good for 4 to share. The parma ham with melon, was so yummy and generous serving of sweet melon. Pizza was delicious, dough is nice.
We almost ate the cook and waiters too.
After a month of backpacking between Thailand and Malaysia, at the suggestion of a friend who lives in Singapore, we treated ourselves to a dinner with the flavors of home.
After brushing a plate of Parma ham and burrata cheese with a rosemary focaccia in a few seconds, we ate two excellent pizzas with equal voracity, drinking down two bottles of craft beer. What to say? We thought we had left certain flavors in Italy, but instead we found them in Singapore.
Delicious food and great service. The calamari was crispy but juicy and tender. The speciality pasta with sausage and porcini in truffle cream sauce was absolutely scrumptious. Good portion size too. Can't wait to try the European seabass next time. Thank you, Marco and Isabella. We had a lovely evening out and look forward to visiting again soon.
The food was fantastic especially the Vongole!
Delicious Italian food and really great service, nestled in a small cosy restaurant in Tg Katong. U must get the burrata!!!
Great service, amazing food, comfy ambience. 10/10. Will come here every chance I get. Just make sure you check prices of the recommended wines unless you’re prepared to blow more than $100 on a bottle of wine.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Loved the recommendations by the Chef and waitress-tried some new dishes. Newly renovated environment has a trendy and cozy atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Recommend the burrata!
just had birthday dinner at little italy with my family and close couple friend . It was our 1st time . It was so lovely & warm environment from step into restaurant until we leave the place. food was superb and authentic. chef and manager and serving people are extremely warm and we all feel welcomed like home. definately will visit soon again. thanks little italy for lovely memorable birthday dinner experience..
Imagine experiencing Italy in Singapore. Beautiful place serving authentic Italian food, beer & wine. Nicest staff you can anywhere in Singapore. The owners, the managers and even the chef made you feel so welcome, made you belong and made an Italian out of you.
Nice tagliere platter with Italian cheese, salami and hams + warm bread focaccia from the pizza station; chef Carlos mixed Italian&Brazil blood knows how to cook filetto meat as well as delicious vongole pasta; great service by Isa and Loveline
The kind of place that's probably better for antipastis and pizza and drinks. Don't expect an extensive menu or a cozy restaurant ambience. Service is attentive and the owners are nice but I think more can come out of this place in terms of food choices.
The food was excellent and the service staff were friendly and warm. Most definitely coming back again to get my next pizza/pasta fix!
If you are looking for simple, humble and authentic Italian dishes, this is the right place. The sauces are very hearty! Friendly team, great host!
Small place, good food, good service. Will definitely visit again!
Really enjoy my seafood risotto while the rest of my family enjoyed their pizza and pasta. Will definitely return again!
Best pizzas in the katong area. Thin crust, quality ingredients, big fan of the buffala
Simple but delicious italian food, good ingredients, good selection selection of wine in a very relax atmosphere.
Recommend the truffle pizza, very special
Best pizza in Singapore! We really enjoyed our experience
